I'M just gon na, let everybody know here's hair, you either take care of your hair or you don't hey guys. What is up? Welcome back if you're new to my channel welcome. My name is Brazil and today guys I am doing a chit chat. Video basically like life updates, while I detangle my hair - and this was actually a last minute idea - so there isn't a proper intro to this video uh. So if you are interested in that, then keep on watching some updates with me um. What is new? What is really new? I got a promotion at work to detangle my hair. I am going to be using this Aussie moist conditioner. This is my favorite go-to conditioner. Oh yes, a lot of people ask me: how do I grow? My hair. I'Ve learned some things over the years, but when it came to really growing my hair, I tell them the same thing. I cut my hair super short and I think I told this story like multiple times. I do believe over the years. I'Ve said it multiple times, but I cut my hair. This short, you guys. I was so embarrassed that I did that because I do not look right with short hair once it got long enough for me to put a weave in. I I did that and I kept the weaves in, and that is how I grew my hair out um. Once I started actually taking care of my natural hair. It seems like the growth it just kind of took forever, but over the years my hair has grown. It hasn't been as fast because I haven't been so consistent with taking care of my hair, and what I've learned so far is your scalp has to be cleaned, has to stay cleaned. Low manipulation really helps keeping your hair moisturized really helps, and at night you have to tie your hair up. Your hair cannot be out um. I know a lot of people say that it can be out like if you don't wrap your hair up. You can leave it out if you have silk or satin pillowcases, but that doesn't stop your hair from matting up. In my opinion, it doesn't. It does not. Stop your hair from adding it, or at least my hair. I cannot go long periods of time without my hair being in a bonnet, because the back of my hair gets matted really bad, so I could probably get away with it for two nights but anytime after that, my hair has to be tied up, see my hair Um, it really just depends, but I highly recommend when you go to bed, to always put your hair in like a loose ponytail or just put in a bonnet, so that it's not moving around when you're sleeping and that will prevent you from getting um matted or Tangled hair, I sleep without a bonnet sometimes, and this right here. Let me show you guys, because I recently did it like my hair gets Tangled. You see that it gets really bad in the back of my hair and the back of my hair is really broken off bad because of it. Tangled hair leads to breakage, and the breakage of your hair leads to damaged hair. I highly recommend when you are going to sleep, to make sure your hair is moisturized and to put a bonnet on and keep your hair covered at night, but keep your hair moisturized. You don't have to moisturize it every day. But if you it depends on your hair, though, so if you find that your hair gets dried easily, I would say: keep it moisturized. But if you don't have a problem with retaining moisture, then you you don't have to moisturize it that often, but I don't I'm not a professional when it comes to natural hair, I'm I'm not. I only learned how to take care of my hair and I never really learned about anybody else's hair texture, I would say, be patient really get to know your hair. That'S what I am doing by trying a lot of different products to see. What'S going to work for my hair and not touching it, and it's not really hard for me to not touch my hair because of the job that I do. I have to wear my hair in a ponytail, so I don't have to do it because I'm I'm! I don't I'm not wearing my hair out when I'm at work, so I style my hair once a week. I wash my hair once a week and I shampoo it once a month. I do condition wash the rest of the weeks. Um, like I said, I wanted to change the amount of times. I was shampoo washing my hair to see if that would make a difference, but it's going to take time and you just have to be patient with your hair um and not get too frustrated. But I understand natural hair can be frustrating um, so I don't really want to speak like it's easy, because it's not it's! It'S really not. When I first went natural, I was he I was straightening my hair. I used a little crimper on my hair and I thought that was so cute and then I look at the pictures and I'm just like you know that that that was not cute. But yes, guys, you know, be patient with your hair love. Your hair love yourself care for your hair and care for yourself um and be consistent. Don'T be lazy like me, like you guys. Sometimes I just don't want to wash it like. The washing process is just like it takes me to have to actually mentally prepare for it. Like I don't like washing my hair, I don't if somebody else can do it for me. If I can go to the shop and somebody else washes and detangles my hair, I would most definitely go for that, but I have not been to a salon since I got my hair colored and that was over eight years ago, if it wasn't for the person That I knew I would never have been to a salon. So yes - and my hair is Tangled right now and it's really frustrating because, like what is this whoa, why is my hair wrapped around like that? I can't get it out. One thing you guys, I will say one thing that really annoys me that keeps happening and I'm trying to be patient with it, because not everybody knows but like when people say. Oh, you have good hair. You have a good grade of hair. I want you guys to know, don't ever say anything about good, hair. Okay, because there's no such thing as good hair hair is hair. You can have taken care of hair like somebody that takes care of their hair, that does their hair, and then you got somebody that neglects their hair. There'S two different kinds: that's that's the difference. Okay, good, hair and bad hair is not a thing. It'S it's just not a thing, and I don't like it when people say that to me not a lot of people understand that. That'S that term is offensive, and I always think like if I had what 4C hair or whatever your definition of bad air is because it just doesn't make sense, but would that mean that my hair is not good like what do I have bad hair? If I had 4C hair, does that mean that my hair is not good? No because I'm still going to be taking care of it. So I really strongly just dislike that term. We got ta stop with that good hair, bullcrap uh. A lot of people ask me they automatically assume that I know about hair, because I make these videos, but I don't. I really don't, because I have only taken care of my hair and I can give them like the basics on what to do, and I just I be feeling like such a letdown, because I can't give them the answer that I I I like. I know that they're looking for um but everybody's hair is different and if you have hair similar to mine, I could help you a little bit more. But if we have two different, like textures of hair or like you, have um looser hair than mine or your curl pattern is tighter. I cannot help you um past. You know the basics of just keeping your hair moisturized, washing it keeping a clean, scalp and low manipulation like I can't help you past that, because I I don't, I don't know um because I don't know um, I don't ex. I have not experienced your hair um. I'Ve not had to take care of another person's hair. Besides my son, his curl pattern is similar to mine, but his hair is a lot thicker than mine. I'M learning how to take care of that, but at the current moment he doesn't have long hair. His hair did get cut, so I do want to learn about that, so that I can become more of a help to people um. I actually want to um, because I know a lot of people just when it comes to Hair A lot of people just have no clue, and I I do feel like if you have children that have um a different kind of hair than yours. I highly recommend you do research and you really really do the research. A lot of people are so quick to give up and then they end up straightening their kids hair all the time because they just don't know what to do with it. And I I will say it's really important for you to learn how to take care of your own child care or consult with somebody that does um, even if that's taking them to the salon. You know what I mean, but don't result to just using heat and keeping your hair your child's hair straight, because when your kid gets older, they won't have a clue on how to take care of their hair. So it's up to the parents to teach the children. How to take care of their hair a lot of parents, don't do that I've seen so many kids grow up. I am one of them that was lost, okay, um, but they grow up, and then they have no idea how to take care of their hair. So they end up doing harmful things to their hair like getting a perm and straightening it. It'S it's not just a one, quick fix. You really have to take care of it. No matter what you know what I mean, if you straighten it, you got to make sure it stays moisturized right. If you perm it, you got to make sure it stays moisturized if you dye it whatever you do to your hair, you still have to take care of it. So for any parents out there that do have kids, it is vitally important that you learn how to take care of their natural hair so that you can teach them when they get older and then, when they get older, they will know what to do with their Hair, so by the time I post this video, I'm already going to be posting um, the video that I'm actually doing this for um, which is Whitney's melanin, Hair Care, Plumping, deep conditioner that she just released, and I am going to be trying that once I wash My hair out um, I was a fan of her before you know. She started her own brand of melanin, hair care and when she created when I saw that she created her own hair products, I just jumped on it as soon as she got it and um. I loved the products that I've tried so far. I do want to try the other products that she has. She sent me after, like the delay of her products. Twice, has anybody tried or did anybody get the Plumping deep conditioner? Because I cannot wait to try that but um it was really nice of her um because they sent a they sent out an extra scarf as a a gift for I'm guessing it's because of the delay, and they literally could have just gave us our hair products. But they sent us a whole scarf with it, and I I love her scarves. I was so excited. I was happy because that scarf is good quality and the scarf is really cute, and I really need to learn how to um tie it not tie it wrap it, because I want to wear it. I want to wear it, but I just thought that was so sweet how they gave everybody a free gift with the conditioner, so many people were being so rude to her. I'M just like just chill it's not that freaking serious, like I don't know. If a lot of people are just like scared that they're gon na get scammed or something I don't know, I trust her. So I I that wasn't the case for me. I actually forgot that I ordered it because it was taking so long, but I don't know I believe that it was going to come through. I believe that it was going to come through, so I think I want to continue to do like these updated videos so that you guys can keep up with me um, even though I don't really have much going on in my life, I just be working taking Care of my hair, taking care of my child and trying to stay positive and sane throughout. You know this journey of life and I'm actually reading another book. A book Atomic Habits by James, clear and that book is amazing. It is belowing my mind, like Does anybody read? Has anybody read that book? Let me know, did you like it because I love that book? That book is changing. My life like it is, I am trying I am working on building some better habits so that I can accomplish a lot of things that I want to accomplish, and it's it man uh all of the books that I've read so far has really gave me a Different outlook on life - and it has really helped me um with my personal growth. My son is at school right now, um and I'm trying to hurry up, because I was planning on going to the grocery store after I just reached my what a five-year anniversary with my job, I've been working there for five years and I think it's crazy, like I that's the longest I have ever worked for a company five years. I don't remember what I was just talking about. Sorry, my camera shut off uh. So I don't remember what I was talking about, because I had to unload some stuff onto the computer and something that has been happening that has been extremely frustrating is some of the clips from my camera on my memory card like break, so I cannot upload them To the computer, because it's it's a damaged file, and I'm just like why, though, why, though, oh she? Ah they they mentioned me. Can you guys see that they mentioned me in their story? Oh snap, that just made my day it just my son - is in school right now. That is something that was new because last year we did homeschooling and that was extremely challenging. But one thing I've learned is how to teach him like I'm still not good at it, like. I can't word things the right way so that he'll understand that is something I've always struggled with, and but when I, when it comes to helping him, do his homework, I'm a lot more patient. I still have my moments though, but he is in school now and I am happy for him um, because, honestly, since he was born, that's something that I was always looking forward to. Is him going to school and with him being out of school last year? It really interfered with me being able to do the things that I wanted to do on my off days, because I'm off on Monday and Tuesdays, so it's like with homeschooling, I wasn't able to do anything until school was over. You know what I mean and now that he's actually in school, I'm able to actually spend my off days. The way I want to you know uh. So, yes, that's really exciting. Um, it's going by okay um! The schooling is going by okay. I am just happy that it is working out this year and you know we could agree that he was going to school this year, because that's one thing that I was like stressed out about, because I could not go through another year of homeschooling. That was just like it was hard. I'M I'm really happy that that's over, because now he's able to be in front of professionals - and I know a lot of people are probably against public schools, and I I understand why. But with the way my life is set up, Public Schools is just the way to go, because I remember seeing this post about how a lot more families are homeschooling a lot more black families are homeschooling and a lot of people are like yes, because that's the Way to go because the school system is trash and and this this and that, and I'm just like that - that if, if you have a family - and you are you know you and your kids, you know father are still together. You guys are living in one household. Then it works, you know what I mean, but it doesn't really work for those parents that are not together. You guys take detangling, my hair. It really does take a long time. So when you are detangling, your hair get a good slippery conditioner, because that will really help you. I'Ve been trying to uh balance things out, like you know, work and making these videos and I've there's no such thing as balance. Okay, I'm just gon na say that I know there's no such thing as balance, but you can try to just you know, make both things work whenever it's available. I don't know how I'm trying to say that, but there is a way to do it and I just feel like I've just poured a lot more into work because of the hours that I work and if I don't upload a video consistently. It'S because I just be so tired, like I, I don't want to do anything I just want to sleep. Can I just sleep for three days and just be okay? Can I do that? Can I no? I can't so today is one of the better days. I am discovering well I'm not discovering okay, I've known this for years now, but I do need to start therapy and I want to start therapy soon um. I just started. I haven't saved for it because I do want to save up some money. Um budget some money to go for it the therapy session, because I don't really know how much it's gon na cost and I have been afraid to do therapy for a very long time. And I've always like when I started getting into like self-care and listening to a lot of women that have gone through the process of um growing and being a better woman. I'Ve they've all been through therapy. You know. So when I started listening to those women, I believed in therapy, even though I've never been, I believe in it. You know what I mean and there's the power of talking to somebody and talking to the right person that can actually help you so um. I I've been nervous to actually do it because I think I just believe that my problems are not that bad and I could figure it out myself and then I kind of get scared because to reach out to actually want to talk to somebody that you don't Know about the issues that you're going through is extremely challenging. It'S taken me a long time, but I am choosing because lately, I've just been feeling like I've been through a lot the last seven years and I did not get the help that I needed um to heal from the stuff that I've been through. And I have to um just talking about it. It just makes me like emotional and it's you know the time of the month, so that could be contributing to it. But honestly it doesn't matter whenever I think about it. It just you know. I do have a lot of work to do Within Myself. You know um, so I can't wait until I start that process um because I do believe in it and I just don't like it when a lot of people are like why? Why do you need to go to therapy? You don't need therapy. What is therapy therapy is nothing, you know what I mean and it's just like, because you don't believe in therapy doesn't mean you have to push your beliefs upon someone else. If somebody wants to see therapy, don't ever try to stop them, just be like oh okay, and then keep it pushing um, because there's so many people that literally talk people out of people that need therapy out of getting therapy because they don't believe in it. And it's just like: don't do that? Don'T do that um! So! Yes, that is another thing that I really just want to do. Um for myself uh - that is currently most of you know, without telling you guys too much um what I am going through in my life currently right now. I do want to move next year. So financially, I really need to you know, make some gains, because here living is expensive and I really do need to start the process of trying to get a house. I do have to wrap this video up. Um leave me a comment down below. I really enjoy replying to comments and, having many conversations with you guys so comment down below, let me know how you guys are feeling what you guys got going on in your life.
