Hey y'all and welcome back to my Channel today, one of my favorite people in the world has some hair products y'all in her name, y'all already know who, because I'm literally even more than chance now I'm just playing anyway. I am a huge fan of her and that person is Auntie tab, AKA, Tabitha, Brown, y'all, Tabitha y'all know she called her Donna, and now she got some Donna's recipe. She has some oils and things, and now she has actual hair products and of course I went ahead and purchased this, so I got these little things right here. When I say little I mean little because they eight ounces, but they are her sweet, potato pie products. So um she has a shampoo, a conditioner, a leave-in and then a cream style, and I'm gon na be honest with you, I probably cream style, probably two or three times at that. It'S not that often, and so I knew I wasn't going to use it outside of the video, so I just stuck to the things that I hopefully get some real good use out of, and that is deep. These three products that I have so I do have the extra creamy moisturizing shampoo, the extra creamy Moisturizing Conditioner, and once again it's extra creamy, also smooth child, the extra creamy leave-in conditioner, so uh. These products are made with real sweet potatoes, stirred with vanilla sprinkle, with one cinnamon perfect for nourishment and moisture in your hair and your scalp all right, honey they'll give you some good, wonderful things. So I'll be honest, y'all know. I love me some Tabitha Brown. I am obsessed with some Tabitha Brown not enough to go vegan, but I love some Tabitha brown, but for this particular video, I'm no longer going to say her name, because I want to give a fair and honest review. So at this point, I'm only going to prefer these products as Donna's recipe and we're going to have a really honest situation now, if you are new here. First of all, this is all my hair. It is real long, it's beautiful the lies. I got in some clippings, so I'm gon na go ahead and take these clippings out we're gon na come into these products and uh. Let'S see what it's giving all right. So I'm back with my real hair Glory. Let'S go ahead and consider this is Donna's recipe. Sweet potato pie - extra creamy, moisturizing shampoo, is supposed to be rich and sweet, not just rich but sweet. Now, as far as the ingredients, they say, the sweet potatoes has better keratin, which helps cell growth and helps prevent dullness and then the cinnamon supposed to help prevent buildup. The vanilla has minerals to stimulate blood circulation, all right honey. Now, as far as the ingredients to the ingredient conscious free of parabens, it's color safe, mineral oil, free petroleum, free and it does not have sulfates. I do not see silicones in the ingredient list, but again, I'm not a stylist. So do you Googles find out for yourself all right now? I do want to point out something that they have on here, which is a tip that I never heard of, and it's just me being honest. So they give you the basic instructions on how to wash your hair, but then the tip right here on the bottle says for more effortless detangling, while washing add Donna's recipes extra creamy conditioner to your shampoo for extra for each use. Um, I'll be honest, is I'm a little skeptical on that, just because I'm just like? Why am I conditioning to my shampoo but yeah, I'm gon na give it an honest try. So let me go ahead and wet my hair, so I can apply this shampoo and we'll see uh what it's like and, of course it's 100 vegan y'all know y'all, know Tampa, don't fool with no animals all right, shampoo time, I'm out here. Looking like somebody's poodle. Let'S get it together, so this is the shampoo child it'll help. If I take it all right, let's try this again. There we go all right. You smell real good, it's not overly like overly scented, but you definitely smell it. Uh summer rubs together and put it on my hair, okay, so I'm not really. This is very thick on my hair it'll help if I was at the sink with the water, but you know whatever I'm not uh too harsh on shampoos. All I'm looking for is number one get my hair clean and number two don't dry it out, so I'm not gon na spend too much time. You know with the application, because I really won't know what it feels it feels good. It feels it feels good, but I won't really know what my hair feels like until after I rinse it out. So I'm gon na work this up a little more and I'm gon na do a second lather. I just wanted y'all to see me apply and then I'm gon na come back and let you know my hair is feeling like, but on my hands right now it feels it it it's. I think I might like it and we are back so I have done two shampoos with this extra creamy. Moisturizing shampoo um hear my thoughts so far, so uh did it strip my hair. No, it didn't um, but do I feel like my hair? Is super moisturized like it says in the title? I will be honest and say I do not. I do feel like it is a moisturizing shampoo, but what caught my attention was, as I was working up the lather and then once I rinsed it out, I'm like why my hair feel like it's getting tight like it's kind of you know a little overlapping. A little loop-de-loop and I looked at the ingredients, this does actually have a hydrolyzed wheat, protein and so um. That'S not quite something I really like in my moisturizer shampoos, because for me, when I use products that do have the protein in it, I feel my hair tightening up and that's what I experienced. So I prefer that in my conditions, but definitely not in my shampoo stage, so that's just something I want to put out there. It'S just me being honest um. It feels nice as a shampoo, but it's not quite what I was expecting when I see moisturizing shampoo. Does that make sense? Okay, let's get into the conditional real, quick all right. So this is the extra creamy Moisturizing Conditioner um, all the same stuff, vegan, no parabens, it's color safe, it's no mineral oils, petroleum free and it doesn't have SLS this one also has protein in it all right all right and don't get me wrong. I'M not somebody who hates protein by far Bye by four at all, but I look for that more so in my strengthening products, not in my moisturizing products. So that's just my personal preference. So let me go ahead pop this thing. Open, oh honey! Look, listen! You'Ll see it it's thick yeah. We like that. Oh it's for the instructions. It says after shampooing, smoothie conditioner down your hair, concentrating on the ends rinse out. Yes, very good, yeah, very good, locking, moisture with our l, o c l c o system because they do have a oil in a jar and then also the cream. But again I didn't get either one of those, because I know I wouldn't really use them in real life, so let's go ahead and get into this conditional years alone. Now, because this is not a treatment like this is not a deep treatment. This is a rinse out conditioner, I'm not going to treat it like a deep treatment. I ain't putting on a cap not using no heat, I'm gon na use it just like a rinse out, so that I could know what to expect. If I were to use it for that and gliding on, it got a lot of slip that I I feel I feel the slippage. Okay yeah. This feels good on my hair. This this feel real good. How long they say leave this on. It doesn't say all right see: um recipe. I need y'all, give us instructions, it's just three to five minutes. Is it 10 minutes? Do we use a cap? Do we use some heat? I need y'all to give us some instructions. All right cause. I'M gon na make some up as I go now. The texture of it makes it really easy to glide through the hair, and it does have a lot of slip because they did not give me instructions. I'M gon na make up on some on my own on the flat. So since this is just a rinse out, conditioner I'm gon na just let this sit for five minutes and I'm gon na rinse it out. I'M not gon na put a cap on or nothing like that because again, I want to see what this does on its own without me tweaking it I wish they had gave us some instructions to have, but you know we we gon na make it work all Right I'll, be back, it'll, be five minutes in my time instantly, for you be right back all right, we're back. I rinsed this thing on out. First things. First, this made my hair soft to the touch uh. Definitely definitely on the softening side um. I would also say, though, just like with the shampoo I feel like this was leaning more strengthening than it was moisturizing for me, because my hair does feel soft. It does feel strong, but like that super moisturized feeling, I don't necessarily have that from the extra cream and Moisturizing Conditioner. I would want a little bit more. I'M not gon na be too hard on this because again, this is not a deep treatment like when I put the treatment on put my look, you know my helmet is salvation AKA, my shower cap get under the dry and let this luxuriate that's not. This type of party - this is a rinse out conditioner, so it just it do it just gives you enough moisture to just bring your hair back to life after the shampoo is not a deep treatment, so I'm not gon na be hard on it, but I would Definitely say on a day where I need Super moisture. I would not reach for this. I would use this like for me. After a heat style, or something like that, then I would grab this because I feel like it gave more my hair more strength than it did moisture. Does that make sense and then where's Auntie tab very good. All right, let's get into the last thing that I have, which is the leave-in conditioner um. Now I got to do what I know to do with my leave-ins, if you're new, here hi, what's up how you doing the mama, let me whisper in your ear all right, so I like this little method that I do it's not new by far, is it Something I personally enjoy. I put a cap on top of my leave-in. I don't care what the instructions say. I'M always gon na put a cap on top, because I just got this stuff everywhere all right, but here it is uh. It'S actually on the runnier side. Oh, it's very loose: oh Chad, this this is giving Queen all right, but anyway I like to put a cap on top of my leave-in it just it just makes my hair feels that much better. So if you never did I'm telling that track, they tell you in the comments I ain't lying. Trying to make your hair feel good challenge. Sound. Like a fart y'all know. I used to use this big old cap named Samantha, but Chad I didn't ran out. I didn't even know it honey, so I'm gon na put a regular old shower cap. You know regular deckless smiggler, I'm Gon na Leave This on for five minutes. I'M gon na come back and tell you how my hair is feeling all right. So it's been about 10 minutes. Actually, let's go ahead and okay yeah. They feel good. I get it that that feel good. So, okay, so let me put my cat back on um because I did not get the styler so um. Let'S wrap this video up real, quick, all right so overall concerning the Donna's recipe line, the shampoo uh is not what I expected. That don't mean it's not good. It'S just not what I expected. When you tell me, moisturizing shampoo, I'm thinking heavy on the moisture. I don't care nothing about to strengthen and just give me moisture. This gave me strengthening that I wasn't looking for. I would, if I could do anything, I would take down the strengthening element to me and make it a little bit more moisturizing. It'S moisturizing, don't get me wrong, it does have moisture, but I want more because of how it was marketed. The same thing for the conditioner. It is moisturizing, but I want more, are um they're leaving, so I ain't got no complaint at all. I really really like this leave-in 100 um. It'S just the shampoo and the conditioner is good. Just ramp. It up wrap that mustard up. You say extra creamy moisturizing! I want the extra you understand what I'm saying so so would I use it again absolutely definitely on the um, the strengthening shampoo days, because sometimes I want moisture. Sometimes I want strength. You got to keep that thing balanced on out. So when I'm looking for strengthening, that's what I would reach for, but because this is marketed as a moisturizing collection. For me, it needs a little bit more moisture now. I do love me to Tabitha hundred y'all know that's my Gap, but I just got ta. Be honest with y'all it's moisturizing, but for me, in my experience I just need it. I need y'all, take it up a little bit so anyway, I don't have nothing else to say: I'm gon na go ahead and style. My hair, I didn't style it in this video because I'm not using the Donna's recipe style. So I'm, like I ain't even gon na, do this, let's just focus on Donna and her recipe and I'll deal with The Styling in another video. So with that being said, that is it for me. If y'all have any questions leave them down below. I love y'all, Michael and I'm out this piece bye, very good.

Khadijah Ashante: Fayeeeeeee ever since I first started watching your channel, putting a cap over my leave in makes the biggest difference for even the worse leave ins I've ever tried!! It's amazing how a simple step changed the performance of some products. Anyway, thank you for always keeping it real, God Bless you, your family, & this channel's growth

Reservechic: Before I go to buy a product, I always search for anyone that puts the actual product or product line name in the title, because let me tell you, it is super helpful to me overall. So, I appreciate you wording the title of this video just perfect, and I definitely appreciate you so much for the thorough reviews and demos given of each product used. Thanks so much for taking the time out to share this video with us, to help kick off the weekend extra right I know that black content creators truly don’t get as much love as they should for all of the hard work and constantly good content that they put out, which I wanted to just let you know, “I am very proud of you, you are amazing to watch, and that all that you put out, I truly appreciate you from the very bottom of my heart ❤️ for it all!

Val Jackson: Straight to the point, honest review! Thanks again

Tennille Bowens: Girl, I didn't even know she had a haircare line. I can see how your curls got tighter from the shampoo AND conditioner. You see the difference on the right side of your hair for real. I can't do all that protein unless I want to have my hair fall out out and what's left to feel like hay. I'm just here for you lol. I'll pass because I already have a great shampoo and conditioner to do that.

Juanita Brazziel: A professional stylist told me the same thing about adding the conditioner to your shampoo

Mrs.CryssieJones: Thank you for giving us a another great review Faye ❤

SHENEATHA TURNER: Thank you for the review. I was thinking about buying her line for my daughter. and like you I'm looking for more moisturizing vs strengthening.

NancyEllen Woods: Thanks for the honest and concise review ❤️❤️

Janese Adams: Was looking forward to this review!! So ready to take my braids out so I can use mine.

KamKam: Thanks for your honest review as I was wondering if it was worth the 75$ shipping to . I do love me some Auntie Tab, but I love my hair more! Sidenote: there's probably no time for the conditioner because our Auntie doesn't like instructions, she goes with the flow and trusts her spirit!

Shá Johnson: Thanks for trying it and letting us know!

Alpina D. Williams: I love your honesty. OneLove ❣

Sunny P: Have you ever tried the native shampoo and conditioner?

Raquel: I've added shampoo to my conditioner before... I had 2 bottles of conditioner, 1 nearly empty. I thought that I was consolidating them. I added it to my shampoo by mistake. It was the best mistake that I ever made. I do condition, now, before I shampoo... Sounds like she made it both moisturizing and strengthening... All encompassing

Tara Walker: My first time watching your video - "you are a COMFORT"! *In my Patrice voice (Iykyk). This was wonderful and good information. Thank you.

Joyful 777: Soooo! My question is what products did she use before creating her own product line? The natural hair community keeps purchasing all of these products and honestly, many are the same formula but with different pricing and packaging! And most of them don’t work well. Stopped wasting my money and went back to the old staples

Jeannine Gorden: My sister gave me the oil for Christmas. I only used it once, so I don't have an opinion yet.

Brittney Littlejohn: "It's giving Queen Helene" bay bay! If you don't know that reference, where's ya cardt✂️✂️!

Trevera Smith: I purchase just the leave in condition thank you for your review

Nyah7: thank for the review on tab's products!

Ashley M.: Now how you know i was looking for reviews on this?!

Johna Rhodes: Not Queen Helene. You are too young to know about that lotion. Thanks for an honest review. How did the products smell?

Mariah Francois: I've been watching her for a while n ohhh Gurl you looks so good

J Selmer: I like the fact that it has strengtheners since my hair is shedding

Paris Van-Del: As a stylist I always tell my clients, "less is more". For shampoo only a quarter size amount each time.

Journey to Joy with Regina: Great review! I'm a vegan chef and my vegan sweet potato pie is my best seller, so I was curious to find out how it worked in haircare products. For me, I'm walking into 2023 not being a product junky. I'm keeping it simple and only using what works. I love Tabitha and I'm sure her products are wonderful, but I'm a creature of habit and I will never leave Mielle unless they start futzing around with their formulation. Best wishes on your products, Tab, and best wishes to everyone for the new year!

Jeannette Owings-Ballard: What do you recommend as a moisturizing shampoo?

NappyFroHappyBro: Nice and honest review.

Rasheedah Naji: Your real hair is growing a lot.

Fit And Fabulous With Charlease: Love your energy! New subscriber

Chenequa C.: I love your honesty that is why we love your videos. We love an influencer we can trust to be authentic and real not just trying to get people to buy products they don’t even like.

C Gladney: Aside from the great content, Faye, you are hilarious! Why aren't you doing comedy?

Mary Wilson: She got pie ingredients, what no avocado products

Tati D: Thank you for your unbiased review! Been hearing about her line for a while, and spotted it in Ulta today. My hair gets super dry so I may have to pass.

Sha'ron: I never knew Donna had her own products. Ok din

Gloria Colston: I have never tried using the plastic cap for the leave in conditioner. Definitely going to try it. Good review and love your energy.

Ivy Merritt: I didn't know she had a haircare line!! This should be interesting!!

Jeannine Gorden: Such a full circle moment with you reviewing Auntie Tab's new products!

Katrice Outlaw: Lolol, your preaching voice came out when you talked about the no instructions on the leave-in Lolol

Ivy Merritt: Thank you, Faye! I know I can count on you for a honest review!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

5th Best Carter: Tabitha said leave it in as long as you want, cause that's yo business.

Jeannine Gorden: Donna told Tab "The ancestors will guide them through the conditioning process!"

Red Love: $15 for a shampoo though &15 for a rinse out conditioner?8 oz ? It’s a no for me

TheSolitaryOne: I wish the packaging was a little bit more eye catching and vibrant

NaturallyMe: Helmet of salvation... Oohhh shade❤❤❤

Oonagh72: Adding conditioner to shampoo is an old school thing. We did that back in the day (like the 80’s). I can’t remember why we did it.

Ivy Merritt: It's so, SO wonderful to see your edges almost back to before you had Champ!!

J TLake: Thank you for the comments about the protein, I was surprised when I was reading the ingredients. I can’t use this every week like I originally though but I do love the line.

Monisha: Thank you for your honesty. My order is on the way and I purchased it for the moisturizing factor. We will see how it do me.

Yolanda L Cheek: Some people can't use too much protein. My daughter's hair is like that I had to twitch products. Too much protein makes her hair shed/fall out. I currently use Tahaji P. Henson products. It works great for my daughter's hair. For me I can use anything on my hair

Ivy Merritt: "If you're new to the channel, this is all my real hair! It's long and beautiful!" "THE LIES!!"

Jermaine Au Natural: I do t do the capon all the time but the times I do it does feel good. Your hair really absorbed that leave in. Excellent review!

And you got me looking at ALL products ingredients...and I'm really focusing on what works for me and my hair and forwarding that on to my daughters...so I TRULY thank you for your reviews....and did you say something about the smell??...if you did I missed that‍♀️‍♀️. YACKY SNACKY !! : Thank you for the review. I love your personality. And you are so helpful.

M: First time watching this channel and as thick as my hair is I don't think her products will work for me but I will try the leave in conditioner cap trick. Never thought to do that.

Monique Bush: Omg. I love Tabitha too, but not enough to go vegan unless she comes and cooks for me.
