Join me while I try dpHue’s Gloss+ in the shade Black on my dark brown/brunette hair, and style it a bit with my Dyson Air Wrap! You can really see a difference before and after.

Overall, I’m super happy with the results - I would say it functioned more as a toner than a semi permanent dye, but I definitely see color results and REALLY see increased shine and smoothness. This may have become a staple!

Thank you so much for joining me, and please let me know what else you’d like to see!

Here’s the toning gloss I used today:

Foreign welcome back to my channel. My name is Chloe Edith, and today I want to work on bringing my hair to a slightly darker cooler tone for the fall. So it's obviously October, I'm thinking spooky Vibes. I want it to be just a little bit vampier. So that's what we're going to work on today. I want to go into something semi-permanent, so today I'm going to be trying the DP Hue gloss Plus in Black. The reason I'm doing black is because I want to try to tone out the um kind of gold tones to the bottom of my hair, especially, I know that my hair looks actually really dark on camera, but it's definitely a dark brown in person. I'Ll try to insert some footage of like my hair in the sun. Again, it's going to look like a little bit darker on video than it actually is, but hopefully it gives you an idea of like what I mean when I say the gold ends of my hair, partly I'm interested in making sure that my hair is kind of Like one color right now, it's a little bit darker up by the roots, I'm also a little greasy today. So it's extra dark but um. It'S definitely like a dark. Almost cool toned Brown there and then it kind of comes down to almost a medium brown. At the ends of my hair, so that's what I want to work on. One of the reasons I'm excited for this product is because it's semi-permanent, which means it'll wash out it's not actually changing anything in the chemistry of my hair. It'S just kind of like a Dye that sits on top and glazes. It um glosses it sorry, it's the proper term. So that way, if I hate it or if it's way too dark and intense, which honestly right now, I don't know how dark it's gon na come out, so maybe it will be um. I can just kind of you know: do a detoxing shampoo, something like that. It'S not going to be that that big of a commitment - I'm also excited about this one because it doesn't cover Grays. So I do have some gray hair. I want to um, you know I don't mind if it gets covered a little bit, but I'm not really trying to cover my Graves by doing this process, I'm very curious to see how this actually will work on my color hair when I'm doing the black color, Because my hair is obviously not black, so I didn't see a ton of videos on how this would look. So hopefully this is informative in case you're interested in doing the same thing, it'll be in a little bit of an adventure so cross your fingers for me get into it real fast. Before I do anything else, I just wanted to say that I am freaking out over what like the response to my last video, so um, I'm not quite sure what happened there honestly, but I think it's really really amazing. Everybody was so sweet. I was like dude. I I was like such a mass entire video, so I don't know that was like so sweet and amazing um and thank you so much if you're coming back. Oh, my God, I can't like what okay anyway, I just need to get that out of the way, because everybody had amazing suggestions in the comments and um. I know this is like one of those really annoying little moments of being like. Oh my God. Thank you, but like really, oh my God. Thank you. It was crazy. I don't know that's all okay. Now we can continue with the rest of this video okay. So I showered we have to start with clean damp hair um. That'S what this calls for and then it says, leave on for three to twenty minutes and rinse early I'm gon na do 20. come on. We all do 20.. We know that. Why do they put three minutes who's doing it for three minutes? Okay, come on! Maybe after I already look like Vampirella, then I'll do three minutes, but not before foreign, like not quite a hair dye, but not really a conditioner, maybe a little weird honestly awesome. So here's my hair out of the shower um. I went ahead and conditioned it afterwards because it felt like it needed a little bit more moisture, but I'm definitely seeing the color. I'M really excited. So I was a little scared, but now I'm feeling really excited so um. I'M gon na go ahead with my favorite leave-in product and then do some blow drying and we'll see what it looks like foreign. Thank you, okay, hello, everybody. I am back um after a few hours. What I ended up doing was just blow drying my hair to like 75, and then it always needs some time to like rest after I blow dry it. Otherwise it's pretty frizzy. So it's kind of just air dried, the rest of it um. I just ran a little bit of oil through it, but it really was like super shiny before I even did that this is not what it'll shine so yeah um. It'S definitely not black. It'S definitely a dark dark brown, which is what I ultimately wanted. So that tells me that um, I could probably leave it on a little bit longer next time, if I really want to so what I did this time is. I left it on for about 15 minutes, maybe between 10 and 15 minutes - and I only use about this much of the product so um, if you can see kind of how much is left in there quite a bit. So this is actually going to last me. A while, which is awesome because I'm definitely going to want to continue to use it um, it didn't really change the color of my hair, especially up here, which is exactly what I wanted it just kind of evened. It out gave it a really intense shine. So I'm super happy so housekeeping note. I am working on a makeup video right now, but it's an hour long and it is taking me so long to edit and I I'm not quite sure how I'm going to cut it down a whole lot more than that. So I'm kind of struggling honestly to like get that done. So that's why I ended up doing this one so that it's a little bit faster to get a video out. So just so you know that is happening. I might scrap it and just do something totally different. I don't know yet, but um that stuff will be coming soon. Um I'd also like to do other things like mental health, stuff, um, training, stuff. I do a lot of working out so um yeah stuff like that. So let me know if there's anything in particular related to those Concepts that you'd like to hear about. Thank you so much for joining me today. This was super fun. I'M glad I got to like experience this with you all it's kind of cool, so um yeah I'll catch you next time. Thank you! So much bye, I'm going to focus on that. Oh I'm, out of breath already! Okay! Today, I'm going to be looking at. Oh, my God, okay, it's so scary!

jmk1388: Your hair is soooo gorgeous -- and wiping the hair on the shower wall is very relatable hahah! I never thought to use toner to keep my longer lengths from bleaching in the sun! Genius move!

Katherine Grullon: The color came out so good! I’ve been looking for an at home toner for my old highlights and this looks perfect

Ali Movasati: Hiii, I have a hair exactly like yours!! I have tried multiple times the curly methods, but they turned out to be epic failures :) Would love it if I could see how you would do it and what the outcome would look like

Cindel S: Love your hair

M LM: Can you describe your haircut? is not blunt, it has a tiny bit of layering or just rounding at the ends???? And your hair looks less puffy in this video than the last (beautiful in both videos but las one looked more like mine. Maybe just change in humidity...and last one....do the bangs ever drive you nuts without the chance of tying them away from your face?

joão vermelho00: Hi Chloe!

Julianna Ortega: Wait u look like Sansa from GOT
