Ways to style your hair to look 10 years, younger, yeah. Hi, you guys it's Erin. Welcome back to my channel., My mission through my channel. You guys know you've heard it before.. It is to help you look like the best version of yourself.. Doesn'T just include your style also. We talk about beauty, sometimes here on Busbeestyle.. I don't know if you know this about me or not, but I absolutely love doing hair.. I wish I had more time to really do hair.. I wish I had a daughter that didn't have a sensitive scalp. Who would let me touch her hair because, ironically, I can do every kinda braid known to man, and she won't. Let me touch her hair., But anyway I love to do hair. It is my jam, but I don't have a lot of time.. So usually I come up with ideas that are very fast, quick, easy, but I'm also always thinking about modern looks youthful, looks but also age appropriate.. I don't wan na look over the top, like I'm trying too hard to look young, but I do wan na look more modern and youthful and I think hair is a big deal very big deal.. I did a whole video about how to make your hair look. Thicker, it's longer term fixes as well as instant fixes.. I will put a link to that video below. It'S really good. Make sure you go back and watch that. In this video. I wan na talk about specific hairstyles. You can try to look younger.. This is really geared for those of you with a medium length, hair or a long length hair. For those of you with shorter hair. It'S probably not the video for you. You wan na skip this one.. I did do a whole Bob styling video with a really short lob., So that could be one that you wan na watch and I will put a link to that one below.. But for this one you need medium to long length. Hair., Let's get started. The first transformation that is very simple. To do that will make you definitely look sexier and more youthful is instead of wearing your hair, like I am here, stick straight almost like sticking to the head.. What you want to do, instead is tease the crown of your hair, tease your hair around the front.. Now I know some of you will say in the comments like oh teasing. Your hair can cause damage.. Yes, that's true., Don't rip your hair out of your head. Do it very gently., It doesn't take much for you to tease your hair and to get some volume that way. So see the hair's off the face a little bit on this side side sweep here, we've got an upturn at the ends.. Just those little tweaks make the hair look so much more youthful and vibrant and modern, and also it's just more flattering in general.. So even if your goal isn't to look more youthful, I think this is definitely like a more flattering style, all the way. Around. - And that's really simple to do - you just saw me - do it in like 30 seconds.. The only thing I would say is that this is probably not gon na stay, so I would put a little bit of spray here on the sides just to keep that back. And that's it.. So it's worth it to take the little extra time we're talking about minutes to make it look that much better, that much more youthful, that much more modern that much sexier. Another really fast easy option.. Instead of the stick straight aging hairstyle, let's throw it half up! Half up really easy to do very functional by the way keeps your hair out of your face., It's very feminine and pretty it's such a pretty hairstyle. And again it'll. Take you less than three minutes to do. It. This one is really simple.. All I'm gon na. Do is grab the hair in the front., So I'm just gon na tease right, here. Notice, I'm not like ripping the hair out of my head., I'm just gently gently gently teasing.. So if I had two pins I'd put one pin on one side and one pin on the other just to hold it in place., But since I'm at the studio - and I don't have bobby pins, the key here is when you're pulling through, don't pull it. So it's so straight'cause, then you ruin your whole poof., So I'm just going to but bobby pins will solve this problem. Too. See it still feels like it's pulling and it's flattened my poof.. So I'm gon na go like this and pull it out and try to make it even.. Once I'm happy with the poof and I'm happy with the pony and I'm happy with the sides, I make sure it's flipped up instead of under. And then there's this little trick and I'll show you this with a bigger ponytail as well, is to take the underneath Of my little tiny ponytail., So I'm gon na take one small piece and then wrap it around the ponytail. And then, when I get to the end, where there's no more hair, I'm going to tuck that into the hair tie.. Ideally I tuck it in underneath.. So not on the top underneath., So it creates this really cool effect covering that ponytail with your own hair.. It'S this little detail. A little effect looks really chic looks really polished.. It looks very deliberate, but not too deliberate right. We wan na be more effortless versus, like super contrived. Love. This hairstyle really simple, really easy.. Here'S the before stick straight flipped under here's, the after half up flipped up little volume on either side. You got the poof on the top with some volume and that cute ponytail covered by the hair tie. Super super easy super cute.. The next youthful hairstyle I wan na show you guys is the ponytail.. Many of you may think that over 40 you can't wear a ponytail anymore., I beg to differ.. I think you can and I think it looks fabulous and I think you should wear a ponytail.. I don't know how I'm gon na feel about it in my sixties and seventies, we'll have to check back.. I got a few years before that happens, but for now I'm definitely still wearing the ponytail.. So I wan na show you a go-to very quick and easy chic ponytail style that you could try at home.. So basically, I'm just going to pull all of the hair back with my hairbrush make sure it's really smooth. There are no lumps and bumps around the head. Here's where a lot of us may have some bald spots around the root line.. You could always use your powder, your shadow, something to fill that in if you wanted to, but you don't have to. Now. The placement of the pony is up to you, but I really like it a bit higher like this, but you could go more for middle of the head like that. If you want. See, I think when I do up higher, I can get more of a poof on the top. Go ahead and put my hair tie in. Now before I do anything with the hair tie, I'm going to use my fingers hold this pull with this Hand so that I can get a little volume on the top. It's uneven, so I'm just gon na go back in here and kinda try to fix it.. Usually it's uneven. First, try uneven.! If you get it first, try man good for you., Woo, you're, killing it.! I never do., Then I have to go back in with the fingers again and pull gently, maybe even like strand kinda section by section till it looks even to me. Once I have a poof that I'm happy with I'm pretty much done, but I'm gon na go Back and do that same effect, I just showed you with the half up ponytail with the full ponytail.. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na pull up my ponytail, like this., I'm gon na take a little tiny piece.. You only need a tiny piece of hair., This one's good'cause, it's short. And then I'm gon na wrap it around the hair tie until I run out of hair. And then ideally, I tuck it in to the same hair tie, but underneath the ponytail okay And there There you have it., You got like a little cute. Hair tie cover, that's made out of your own hair.. It is a thoughtful hairstyle, but again effortless right. We don't look too done too over the top., And I really appreciate that about this hairstyle and very youthful. Very very youthful., So many of you have asked about how I curl my hair.. I did do an IGTV on Instagram which, by the way, I'm over there at Busbeestyle.. If you wan na, follow me there just everyday outfit inspiration and sometimes beauty tutorials.. So I did a how I grow my hair on Instagram, but haven't done one here on YouTube in a while., So I wan na combine this hairstyle with also showing you how I curl my hair.. I think it's very youthful and effortless and cool and sexy to have loose waves.. How do you get the loose waves? The first thing is the right tool.. So I love the T3 wand.. This came as a trio, so I can take the one part of it off and then change it out for a barrel, a different sized barrel., But this is the one I use most often the wand. And I have my heat glove. So I curl my hair with the heat glove. And I do like when I do these waves. I do like to part in the middle. Ordinarily, I might have clips to kinda clip up some of it and not clip up some of it, but for right now, I'm just gon na show you. This is normally what I do.. So I would just take a piece of hair. And instead of curling all the way to the root. I would just kinda do this to smooth it out and then start about three inches down at the widest part of the barrel., Then wrap it with the heat glove and hold out the end, see my thumb and index finger. I have hair., I don't hold it that long, because I don't want really tight curls.. I want loose waves., I might hold for like 10 seconds versus 30. If I were doing a tighter curl.. I start with one side. I will curl each piece small piece away from me.. You can alternate direction if you want to.. I would just say that, with the pieces that are framing your face, that I would definitely do those away from your face versus toward and the rest of the hair, dealer's choice., You can alternate, you can do them all away. You could do it all toward.. However, you feel most comfortable., I do one side, then I do the other side.. I always leave out pieces. I always go back and get those pieces. I missed. They're, usually on the underneath part of my hair, which is also the hardest part to curl by the way'cause, it's the closest to your neck, but you got ta curl, it anyway.. So let's take a look.. Let'S go back to our stick straight flipped under side, part hairdo, and then let's compare that with the middle part loose waves, sexy sexy, sexy hairstyle., Which one do you think looks better, Which one do you think looks more youthful. I would say. Definitely the waves. The nice thing about when you curl your hair too, is it doesn't get as greasy as quickly.? So generally, you can get away with washing it one last day, and it also will traditionally, at least for my hair stay for at least a couple of days, which is really nice, especially when you're on the go all the time., The last youthful hairstyle. I wan na show you is full up. Do that's not a ponytail.? First, I wan na show you a very slipped back low bond hairstyle with the center part.. I actually happen to love this hairstyle. I wear it all the time., But it's definitely not the most youthful hairstyle.. If you wan na look younger and more youthful, if that's the goal, then I would suggest instead of doing a low bun, I would do more of a high topknot bun. And there are two top knots I wan na show you. The first one is more of A sleek option. So for going from sleek low bun, maybe you wan na just do a sleek high top knot and the sleek high top knot. You pull all of your hair back to the crown of your head.. Then you slowly and very strategically and neatly wrap the hair around and then tuck this underneath.. Then I use my hair tie and make sure I wrap it as tight as it'll go. That'S too okay. And I can pull this out a little bit, but I don't wan na pull it out too much'cause. Then it gets messy again. Another option for those of you who wan na take it a little further and you want a little bit more of a glam youthful up. Do instead of that really neat topknot you're gon na fold it around, but keep it a bit. Messier. And you may even wan na leave the ends out and then wrap the ponytail around kind of the messy bun., And then you can also pull out pieces face framing pieces around the side of your head.. If you want to, you, can curl these little tiny pieces away from the face., Don't go overboard with these little front framing pieces, because then it will look too contrived.. So right now it sort of looks super messy and cute.. You really wan na keep it more on the messy side. And I have a chunk here that kinda fell out.. So with that I can either pin it or I can tuck it into the ponytail.. Since I don't have a pen, I'm gon na tuck, it in., This is very glam and I would say of all of the hairstyles. I'Ve showed you. This is probably the least effortless.. It looks a bit more contrived.. I would be more in the like sleek top-notch category, but I wanted to give you this option of a bit more glam top knot.. But if you're going for super effortless and subtle, then I would go with the sleeker version.. Here is again, the low bun sleek middle part, nothing wrong with it, but we want a slightly more youthful look. So we're gon na go with higher top knot, instead., Which style was your favorite, Which one are you going to try? Do you have any questions about the styles? I showed you They're all pretty easy.. I think that if you're pretty handy with a curling iron, then I think that these will be no problem at all. And then most of them. You don't even need the curling iron for they're, really simple, really fast, really easy, effortless, modern, chic and also youthful, which is what we want right. Jess w: Love your tips and tricks x As a child I had a sensitive scalp in my late 20's a natropath found I had high amalgam levels. Got the heavy metals out... my memory was so much better and no more sensitive scalp, hope this helps your daughter and you can do her hair soon

Chantal56: Erin, I’m 63 and mostly wear my hair up, in a ponytail or a messy bun. It’s simple, neat, chic and youthful.

PJDubz: Love this! Thank you for sharing. For my fine thin hair I’ve found that with a blonde colored corduroy scrunchy that matches my hair, it adds volume to my low messy bun that I wear quite often. The color match and the lines give a great illusion that it’s all hair. Just thought I would share for my thin haired sisters! Thank you!

Pahla B, Fitness + Life Coach: All aboard the Busbee joy train! Yes!!

Kelly Bonanno: Cheers to the joy train! Your positive energy and light set the tone, Erin I keep my long layered hair in a messy bun when I'm at home, comfortable and out of the way ;)

Blush Crown: You look amazing with every look Erin! I just cut my hair bc it was damage and it looks so nice! It’s not short, but shorter than my usual and I’m loving it‍♀️‍♀️

MotleyShrew1979: Love this tutorial ❤& many others of yours. Saved all my favorites! You have helped me learn to get out the door FAST, but without sacrificing looking put together & trendy! I'm 48 yrs young & i feel your tips have saved me from LOOKING 48!!! I get compliments each time I use your suggestions! THANK YOU for what you do.

Sandra R: Dutch braids! One of my biggest accomplishments during the pandemic, I finally learned how to do them. Whenever I wear braids I get compliments on how young I look.

Lisa Severino: Thank you Erin I took you into my bathroom and we did our hair together. I did the first one , teased my crown, a little spray and Presto

Carrie Korenek: Hi! This video was inspiring. The messy updo was actually my favorite. I respect your style expertise and enjoy your videos. I would really appreciate a video showcasing glamorous prescription eye wear (not just reading glasses) and the effect eye glasses have on a person's style. Most of your audience probably wear glasses, so a video geared just for eyeglasses might be useful. I got it wrong with my last prescription, but glasses are too expensive to just go in and get a new pair. With your expertise, I can get the correct eye wear with my next prescription. Help me get it right this time!

Lindsay Emigh: I apparently really needed this video! I curled my hair the way you showed and followed your directions. I looked updated and current but not like 1980s curled hair. Awesome thank you

Laurie Paris: These look fun! I keep my hair in braids for most of the summer. Right now I've got two stacked braids (like the half up, pulled back from face, one on top of the other). Also do a braid either side of head with a roll by face. Braids keep my hair cool and tidy, with the side bene of mermaid waves when I let it out. Also sleep with 1-4 small buns on crown of head, for a different type of wave the next morning.

Alice Nicolai: I need to tease after I straighten my hair love your content—always so relevant to us ladies thank you for what you do

N GM: Haha...nothing wrong with looking my age! I rock my age; 46 years young and proud of it...every year is a blessing people - be grateful if you reach old age! Plenty of folks will never make old bones! God bless

Maria Gloria Romero-Go: Thanks Erin! Love your video... especially the last part of it. Your staying positive and spreading it to us. Take care and all the best ❤

rjfscrappingaustralia: Thank you Erin for this very useful guidance and easy to follow advise on a more flattering hairstyle for someone 40+. I will definitely be trying these styles out and have a 14 year old daughter who I know will be happy to assist and advise me!! I am finding your videos very enlightening and appreciate that your advice is given in a non- judgemental and non-patronising way. Best Wishes and Greetings from Australia, Rebecca

33lorie: Thanks Erin! I'm always looking for new ideas besides a just my usual ponytail. I always try to wrap my ponytail with my hair like you did but I have to use several bobby-pins & it usually comes undone or I have a bunch of hairs sticking out. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also like to use a scrunchy when doing a messy bun because it gives me more volume. By the way I'm really enjoying the hive on Facebook! ❤️

Maureen Johnston: Hi Erin! So glad I found you. At 64, still loving my pony with hair wrap and perfecting the messy updo. Love your videos.

Tiny Town Girl: I’m 59 and and feel that a pony tail is a cheap facelift. It draws the eye up, and the face up. I’ll wear one as long as I have hair.

Theresa Trevino: Thanks for the tips! I am 57, wearing a ponytail, messy buns and take advantage of naturally wavy hair, a lot. Keep the ideas coming and it’s nice to see so many wise women wearing their hair in a way that makes them feel good!

Lisa Hill: I love the waves! I'm 54 and don't wear my hair up often. I think I'll give it a try! Thank you for keeping the community positive and safe!!!

Sandy Jones: I loved this! I am 62 with medium length hair and I use all of these styles! The thing that changes the look a bit at 62 is that gosh darn droopy neck and those softer jaw lines. I try REALLY hard not to let that hold me back from putting my hair up in ponytails and buns. My husband claims no one notices that stuff when my hair is up. I’ll choose to believe him!! Thank you for empowering women to be their best! You are just a doll.

Tammy Roy: I’m 56 with super thick course dry hair and a ton of it . I’ve grown my hair to just past my shoulders and have been having it’s of fun styling it and playing around while working from home these past several months. Thank you for these very cool inspirations. Also - check out Laineymarie - she has the quickest super cute tutorials on super fun and easy hairstyles- messy buns, low buns, half ups and most recently some really cute ideas for using “claw clips” and looking trendy. She’s awesome and lovely! I’ve also been following Tammy from ageless beauty to get my hair super healthy - it’s in the best shape it’s ever been in!!! Thanks again Erin - always always enjoy your videos and LOVE the positive vibes! Have a beautiful and happy week! Tammy Roy

jezzebell: This is so useful. I love doing my hair too and trying to find a balance between not to look too young and mature. I’m really short and sometimes in my job, looking young gives the impression of inexperience. I never thought of teasing my hair. Will definitely try it.

Andrea Yanochko: I've been wondering how to style my hair. Thanks for posting this video! I love every style. My favorite is the last one (messy hair bun)

Anna Spicer: Great video. Thanks for being so prolific and coming up with videos we all enjoy and find useful ! I hope you never run out of ideas!! Ps your pendant looks fantastic!! So flattering and stylish.

Ekaterina Kozlovskaia: Hi Erin. Gorgeous hair dos. Must admit some time ago I just cut mine short (had long hair my whole life). Turns out it suits me greatly. Thanks for the tips!

Sara Saeedi: Hi Erin, I recently joined your channel Ann I really enjoy your videos. I love ponytails and up dos but I have a lot of baby hair around my face which I don’t like. Also I’m recovering from a big hair loss so I don’t want to stress my hair and put many products on my hair. I appreciate your recommendations for that . ❤️

Elizabeth: Erin, would be great if you would feature curly hair styles for women of different ages! My hair is the color of yours but very curly and thick, so things like a natural pony style give me a big curly pom pom out the back. Chic and polished not as easy with super curly hair ty dearie

S B: Even with my short bob, I still can utilize some of these tips. Great tutorial

Terri Hanson: I dread doing my hair. So this video was super helpful! Easy suggestions~I did the half up today. Thanks Erin!

runspud: I actually love a sleek parted low bun or partially pulled through low pony. But your styles are all great options! I feel like some styles we wore as kids, without any styling tools or structured cuts that take effort, just natural, are still most youthful. Pony, half-ups, buns,,,,one length,,,,,healthy simple hair is youthful.

Kelly Fagan: I love this video! I’ve tried a few of these styles and I love them. I have to modify as I have a very large forehead. Thank you Erin! You are amazing!

Karin Eliot: Have you tried the Brush & Hair Dryer combo? Revlon makes one. I love it. I dry in two stages; pin up the hair on top of my head to dry the lower hair, then the top in sections. I curl down because my hair dresser does and find the hair around my face falls away nicely. Thank you Erin! I emailed Denise to breath worker/healer and can't wait to take her class.

Juliana Sylvester: Great tips Erin. Just changing your hairstyle from time to time makes you feel and look younger, I think it helps the health of the hair too!

k c: Hi Erin, So glad I found your channel, it has been really helpful, thank you. I was running late for work one day and I put all my wet hair up into a bun. When I got to work one of my young cheeky co-workers said "Why you wear your hair slicked back like an old grandpa" (she has a cute accent). It was funny I wasn't affended at all. Since then I have always dried my hair and puffed up the front lol. Kylie, Australia

Heather Jane: You look beautiful with the stick straight along with all the modifications! I’m in my local Sephora fairly regularly (well, not the past year ), and one time after getting my hair cut, colored, and styled stick straight I shopped there. I know a number of the employees, and everyone was telling me how much younger I looked. Of course, this is in Boulder, CO, so less is always more. I’m definitely going to try some of these styles. I need to mix it up!

Ashley S: On the JOY train, Woot Woot!! Just wanted to mention products can be so important with these hairstyles. I love the big volume, teased look but don't like teasing. I use Big Sexy Hair Power Play hair powder. It's like teasing in a bottle. Also when doing loose curls, I spray the hair with Aveda Air Control hairspray prior to curling to hold the curl. Then lightly comb with fingers and use Oribe Texturizing spray for added volume. Last thing, with a pony, make sure you are using good quality hair ties that don't damage the hair. I like thin silk scrunchies. Thanks, Erin!

acetheshe: Hello Erin, I love the messy bun!!! Thank you

TexasStardust: .... I had a hairstylist,( when I lived in Vegas, went to Cleopatra's Salon for years ) she said to me ... " Youthful hair has shape and movement, even if it's subtle movement", and I never forgot that ! She said teasing ones hair isn't harmful if you're gentle and don't do it everyday. Great tips , Miss Erin! Have a safe and lovely Holiday Weekend.

Tracy Collins: Great tips - I'm almost always wearing a ponytail because my job (periodontist's assistant) has me working with patients and instruments all day and I can't have my hair getting in the way. I like the front pouf you showed and will try to work on that! Also, your messy bun is very flattering on you! I also twist my hair and put it up with a claw clip with a fun little messy part on top, if that makes sense. It's really easy, pulls the look up and is great for wet hair. XO

kim harrison: I think the key to hair is to go slightly lighter in color every 10 years....that's what my beautician told me...especially after 50. Loved the video and the ponytail was my fav.

Christine Fiset: Woot woot! I do all five of these already. Guess I'm on the right hair style track! Thanks, Erin.

Kelly C: Love them all, but I am totally into the loose waves at the moment...I have been doing the heatless curls using a fluffy robe tie\sash method that is talked about a lot here on YT...I was skeptical and it does take some practice to get it right/getting used to sleeping on, but it is a time saver the morning and looks cute for days.

jackie reinstedler: I esp love the messy bun!:) it works well with my curly hair

Peace: Great video. I’m 55 with naturally curly hair (1 inch coils). All my life until about a year ago I straightened it thinking it looked more professional and elegant. Since going curly I receive so many compliments and my hair is so much healthier. By the way, my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders and I plan to let grow at least halfway down my back. I can also wear a ponytail or simply a loose tie at the neck. In my opinion age does not matter regarding what length you should wear your hair. The shape of your face, type of hair, health of hair and your personality are deciding factors.

Francesca Hallstrom: Loved this video! Always looking for new ways, fast and easy ways to style my hair.

Mikki39: So good. All the styles I do daily! Yeah. Thanks Erin

Wendy P: Thank you for these tips Erin ⭐️ I found these hair tips really helpful. I will try the teased/volume look.

Sandy Alonzo: Love the messy bun!!!! I was reading comments and I think some people misinterpret what you’re saying. Long, flat and straight are good for the young girls...they aren’t even thinking age yet. Ladies need to realize change is good...including hairstyles, make-up and styles. It’s a good thing❤️

Kimberly Costello: Love these styles! I'm an ex cosmetologist..so always dying to get my hands on some peoples hair! Fun to watch you all these years! I remember your Texas hair!

Susan Dawson: Thanks for encouraging people to be positive. It’s nice to get away from the negativity that you find so often on social media.

Janie Nichols: Great video! I have tried the messy bun so many times and it never looks right! I think it is a cute and easy-looking everyday look.

Adriana Fayad: I love your videos, thank you so much for the excellent content and objectivty! I have a more practical way, though, to make waves, that I"ve learned from a model that was always in a hurry and did her own waves for most photoshootings. It's effortless and you get beautiful long waves too. After I have washed my hair and dried just a little to get rid of excess of water, but not full dried, I divide my hair in half and with each side I roll it with my fingers, like princess Leah of Star Wars and pin it. I do the same on the other side and then just leave them like that, while I do the makeup and get ready. I can use a blowdryer when I'm really in a hurry, otherwise I just leave to dry it naturally. Right before leaving home I loose the hair and voilà, long waves like a pro... Detail: you should do the rolling of the locks with the locks going away from your face, not towards it. I do only two locks because I have thin hair, but if you have more and thick hair, it's just dividing in more locks. And applying a mousse before rolling the locks will also help to keep the waves for longer. Easy and effective.

Secondeve: Thanks for your motivation! I added a few long extensions to the top and made space balls, very youthful and fun

jackie reinstedler: I love the high, messy bun:) I have curly hair, so hard to get those sleek styles without a lot of heat and time.

Trumpeter Swan: Thank you for permission to wear a ponytail, and for such easy ways to look younger. You are helping so many people to feel better in their own skin and to be happy with natural beauty. Very down to earth and simple tips anyone can handle.

Teresa Keough: Love all the looks, but my favorite is the half pulled back on top. It looks sophisticated and fresh. Much love and happiness, Teresa

Sheryl Beamer: Thank you Erin! I loved these tips! ‍♀️

Sallie Ryder: It is refreshing to go to a channel that is filled with positive vibes where we can relax and enjoy ourselves. Thank you for that and for the lovely hair styles.

Jude Eustis: You brighten my day Erin! Thank you.

HB: I’m 53 and have tried most of those hairstyles but my goal is to look older and more “grown up.” I’m petite as well and when I have my hair up in a ponytail or bun it just makes me look younger. I’m thinking of getting my longer hair cut into a more age appropriate style. I’m not young anymore and don’t want to look that way. I’m proud of my age and greys.

Gallinamarta69: Since a discovered how to curl my hair I look younger... life changing! The community is awesome

Barby Dailey: Great tutorial! I'm going to try all 3 updos, I've been wearing my hair in a side pony tail and that seems to be a better look for me, but the messy bun might be fun. I'm 70.

Minecraft BP: Hi Erin You are a so positive person, so there is no negativity in this community!!! My favourite hair styles for you is half up and pony tail cause when you have your hair back, your face is clear and you are so beautiful!!! When I had my hair longer than now (almost where my arm is) I preferred the half up and ponytail, but the last year I prefer a very short frame haircut cause my natural hair is wavy and I want to have volume!! Thanks for the tips kisses from Greece

Gail Arneman: Enjoyed it all--thank you! Gives me some encouragement that I can do it.

Lisa Yerace: YES! I learned that about hair color within the past couple of years! Too blonde without a little low-light thrown in for depth definitely ages me! Great video!

Julianne Rogers: These were some great ideas for most people. I can't wear anything in my hair because I hate the way it feels so I normally always wear my hair down. I also prefer my hair straight over wavy.. My hair pretty much looks like your before pic except a few angled pieces on the side. I have straight and smooth hair, but always get compliments and people think I'm younger than my actual age of 45. I think its because I have well done professional highlights, shiny, and extremely healthy hair. I also think you have beautiful hair and it looks fantastic in your before pics

Lynn Montville: I love your channel, Erin! You are so inspiring to me and so many women...... :)

Dstar1125: My hair is layered so I find that a lower pony looks better on me. At 55 in November, still finding that shoulder length hair works best for me.

April Dillon: LOVE every single one of these classy styles!❤

Iris Sawicki: Nice info! I’m 52 and completely useless at doing my hair. Another few inches to go and I’m going to try these ideas. Never too old to learn right?

Mystic Moonshine Podcast: I did #2 after washing my hair tonight. My curling iron broke so will need a new one to do that one, can't wait to try it because I'm usually a side part girl.

Kanili N: I would go for that ponytail and messy bun.. thanks very much indeed Erin.. your tips are super duper! Kindly give some fashion and beauty tips on Petite Asian women

Denise Scarpetti: I'm 63, and almost always wear a pony tail..I love how it looks. My hair is layered and I just think it's so flattering!

Lynn Walker: I have to be honest, I've never heard anyone say a ponytail is for women of a certain age. I feel like it's a timeless style. My Mom is 73 and wears her hair in a low ponytail every day and it looks perfectly fine. Love all your hairstyles, even the sleek and very straight look =) Really enjoy your videos! Thanks!! xo

Roxy Wood: Thank You SO Much for this video!! I've been doing it wrong forever!! :)

pharmacygal623: Great video! I like them all! I’m 54 and I do most of these styles often. Since I work in the medical field I probably do the sleek topknot the most.

Terri Haley: Recently discovered your channel and I love it. Thank you for the ideas and tips.

VincentianLady: Hi Erin although I protect my hair underneath and mostly wear wigs I find that the principle is the same i.e. when I go into the shop to try on a wig (I have various styles) the first thing I notice is how youthful that particular style makes me look, a bob seems to be trumps for me be it even length, long at the front short at the back and the bonus is I actually like the versatility of picking coloured wigs without dyeing my hair. Curly works if not to poofed lolol - Thank you very informative video

CMkarma 555: I love the messy bun just perfect!!!!❤️

polly: Love hair tutorials and love all of these styles. Thanks lady.

Milena Mcb: Love all your videos . I think every version was looking more like day time and night time version ! And every look both ways were nice and cute !

Islandash: Straight and sleek for me, it's what my hair do best and I embrace it.

Tj Rice: Hi, Erin! Thanks so much for sharing your great style & attitude with us. So glad I've found your channel! I live in a very rural area in SD & am outside in all seasons on the ranch. How do you suggest styling baseball caps or stocking hats & the like and still look stylish? How to style a cute cap with an outfit that compliments best? I'm guilty of being too matchy-matchy, I think (my teens told me it's not cool anymore). Help!

Emma Philo: I absolutely love the poney tail on 50+ it's a youthful and cute hairstyle

Dion Kabs: Love and do all those styles. Updo style ponytails also are like a mini facelift! Says a 50+ (girly girl). Love your channel!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Tracy Guenther: I'm 51 and a ponytail is my signature look, especially because it's an easy go-to because I'm a preschool teacher. I want to try wearing a top not and the messy bun to work. I wear messy buns a lot at home. I really should curl my hair more it's just so hot here in Florida to wear hair down right now. Great video, thanks ☺️

Teresa Fino: I'm 61 and I still wear a pony tail. I love to wear the half-up/down, sleek topknot and messy bun.

sandra Hickey: I love half ups and top knots, I have to wear a fringe (bangs), still looks okay. I love the wavy beach styles and usually go for this one. I have my hair permed as it's fine but it's loose waves. I'm 56 by the way.

Gemma Cansancio: Thank you so much madam for the inspiring tips you prepared for us to learned yes think positive no negative

K Moresco: Great ideas! 58 here and I love a high pony especially when I'm golfing! Thank you!

Irai Rod: I do a very high ponytail and use a medium claw clip to clip the base of the pony (from underneath) to the hair close to my scalp. That lifts the pony and makes it look like a waterfall, giving the illusion of having more hair. It looks more youthful, on me, than a very sleek ponytail.

Lori Weinrib: Your hair looks great- got very long! Loved all the styles on you!

Peony Grace: Lol, I saw my notification and clicked to find this while I was trying brush my thick tangled mane. Perfect timing as always!Love you Erin!!

Michelle Shelly Style / Fashion over 60: This was fun I’m the opposite I’m a lazy hair lady . Having longer hair . I always start my high bun with a super high pony tail and use pins . Have slight baldness on one side, I pull out wispy pieces . I have some layers in front .

Kathy Morales: Love your hair styling tips! Thank you!

Sher Markham: At 70, Im still "pony tailing."

Fiona Frazer: A lot of people would look younger (if that is a goal - definitely not for me, I'm happy at my age) is to cut their hair! So many people cling to long hair as they think it makes them look young, where a shorter cut would look so much better. The thing I am so over is the "beachy" wave - which most often looks "bent" and weird, and middle parts! A side part is so much more flattering, especially with angular features. Think the first style looked the best.

S Zee: My hair is in ponytails almost every day. Nice fast way of doing your hair. Was looking for a curling iron like that.
