What up youtube i'm back with another video now, yes, i know little man looks rough right now, but i did hook him up with a nice. Uh draw fade and that's what he asked for. So that's what i gave him and i did leave the top because he wants to let it go out. So that's what we did and anyways you guys. I hope you guys enjoy this video okay guys and, as you can see, i have a number two guard with my wall magic lips. Now. The only reason why i wanted to start with number two: it's just just to bring down the hair uh. I didn't want to start off with my trimmers and start balling him out uh, just the fact that, like some trimmers do pull the hair with the the length of the hair uh just being long. So what i did was, i did number two and uh and then, after that i'm gon na do a clip over comb. Just the fact you know just to get it out that bulk way. You know i just hate seeing that and, as you can see number two guard so, okay guys now before i start doing the balling, i decided just to take out the bolt uh just to get out the way i i sometimes just like. I can't really deal with it, so what i did, i grabbed the 1a detachable blade with my favorite comb and pretty much just start, bringing the bolt down. That way can actually, i can actually see where i'm gon na start balling out and and see the so that way i can have enough space to to do this dry fade me, okay, guys. So now i grab my wall: cordless uh, detailers to start balling down my uh, my client's hair and pretty much pretty much, i'm just bringing down and doing the shape of withdrawal fade uh now, okay! So now i have my wall shavers and, as you can see, i'm only going to give myself enough space to ball down uh my client's head, like ex extra extra bald and giving myself enough room to take out the harlem here. Okay, guys now for my second guideline, i am going to start off with the number one uh close so pretty much since i gave him a number two. What started off with a number two, i'm sorry um, all you have to do is pretty much just open. The lever and it blends into the tube, so i decided just to start with a number one to make. This fade much easier, okay, guys so now, i'm gon na do an open lever and i'm gon na work on that. On the second guideline that i worked, that i did so pretty much what i'm doing since it was already a two and i use the number one. I did an open lever and it already creates pretty much like a one and a half. So it blends right away into the number two okay. So now, i'm closing the lever, little by little, just to kind of give it a nice touch with the number one guard and uh. All i'm gon na do is just use the corners just to give it more of this uh the soft blend. Okay. So now, i'm gon na create another guideline pretty much. What i'm doing is the the the bottom line that i'm playing with my pinky. I'M doing the open lever just to create another soft guideline, so that way i can, after the the with the open lever, i can come with the 116 guard and starting to blend uh to the number one okay. So now i close the lever all the way. Close and pretty much what i'm doing is trying to get rid of that bottom line that you can see just by using the corners now remember, i'm not using the full blade. Uh is the reason why it's, because i'm doing a draw fade, i'm not doing no mid fade, i'm not doing nor high phase. So i don't have to use the full blade it's just by using the corners and doing them more into like going with the draw fade pretty much so now i have my 116 guard and, as you can see, i pointed out on my finger uh the guideline That i'm gon na work on, i did an open lever now, as you can see, uh i'm actually going to be closing the lever little by little uh just to soften out that hard line and pretty much just trying to blend as much as i can. With this 116 yard, oh so i did see that there is like kind of a of a heavy bulk uh that i left out, uh that i'm putting out my pinky. So what i'm doing is i'm doing a clip of a comb with an open lever. No use no guards just the the uh, the blade and and the clip over comb. Now a lot of people ask me: why are you going up so pretty much? What i'm doing is using the comb as a guard, if that makes sense um, it's really simple. It'S really easy easy uh, you know it just is it's kind of a less work than using like guard after guard after guard, and once you master the clip over comb, it's like wow, it's just a whole different game into like doing any type of phase. Pretty much and uh yeah, so you can see i'm doing a clip of a code now before anything um little man did have like his baby hair. So his baby hairs were not really dark enough to to have that sharp uh lineup. Now, before anything, don't go over there and be like why are you pushing back well because the mother knows that his baby hairs are not really noticeable when it comes to a lineup, so she did give me the permission to kind of like not really push him Too much but like kind of make it more noticeable foreign, okay, guys last but not least, uh. I am using some hair product um, just getting a little bit of style. You know into the hair um. So what i at first, i was trying to give him a comb over right, but his hair was just like it just wouldn't. Let me do that. The the comb over that makes sense like they like the hair from the back, would stick up. You know, and the front was stuck up straight, so what i told him is like hey just let it grow a little bit more longer and i'm pretty sure he's going to be able to do this comb over like how the way you want it. But, as you can see, i'm just trying to mess around with his hair give him a little cool little look whatever, but i can't end up liking it, okay, youtube. What this is the final cut. I gave the little man a draw fade. He did wanted to come over, but then i was like no because you know your hair is not long enough. Your head is kind of crazy right now, so he said he's gon na wait, but you guys, you know what i appreciate you guys so much for for watching this video and for all my subscribers out there uh. I did try my best with this little man. Uh to give him the the best haircut, but you know how kids move too much and also trying to record it was kind of tough, but i went through it alright, guys till next time you

Dick D: Love your children's beaming faces, Dawn! I've been scissor-cutting my husband's hair since just after we married 42 years ago...saved a TON of $$$. Like your kids, if I messed up, which I did in the beginning, he was a good sport and never minded. As it is said, "The difference between a good and bad haircut? Two weeks." =)

msyCash: Thank you, thank you, thank you! My brother's hair is exactly like that and it's so difficult to work with! Will definitely be implementing your techniques and bless you for including the products you used in the description. I wish you nothing but continued success!

Props for your serious attention to detail and pride in your craft. Your bros and east coast are fortunate to have their hair in good hands!

Blake P: You make that clipper over comb look so easy! #2 right into the top is a big time saver. I'm here using the 3 and 4 guard as well. Need to start perfecting my COC technique. Thanks for the inspiration bro.

Mike B: Yes. Great tutorial. Thanks for the 1A and clipped over comb tip. I never thought about that being an easy 1.5 shortcut into the the open lever blend cleanup on the skin fade of an straight hair Clippers over comb cut. Thank you sir.

laley1981: That’s clean. I was tired of paying my sons barber $25 plus tip. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I didn’t want to take him or pay up! It’s that she literally took like 5 minutes! She started to be very sloppy and wouldn’t even clean him up right. After that I started seeing videos like yours and got better. It’s like my 3rd time fading his hair and getting better and better. One day I hope I get to your level! Thx

Valirio Bungenstab.: Eu sou do Brasil, gostei muito do seu corte você ensina muito bem continue assim tá de parabéns

Jessica Davis: I have a 9 year old boy that has the EXACT hair texture and every where I take him to get it cut they can never fade it right while still leaving this amount of length on top. I am a high school art teacher and view cutting hair as an art form and am always looking to learn to create in new media....hair is a medium that I view much like a sculpture. Thank you for posting this video... I was able to apply what you taught to what I can see naturally as an artist and his hair came out phenomenally!!

Anne Fauth: I use this to refer to when my guys ask for a fade ! Love it!

Diane Thompson: You are a master at the fade!! I can do clipper over comb just right, but I can’t get that seamless fade!! I think a fade is one of the hardest cuts to do!
