Was invited to church by the love of my life and excited beyond belief! Dressed my best, felt Godly blessed. Then took those beautiful curls out! They were perfect! Perfectly yellow! Yeah. I melted Shea butter to do my curls and forgot we were in the middle of a Chicago winter! My curls were completely YELLOW!yellow yellow yellow! Took me 9 years to tell my now ex what happened that day. He was convinced that I did not want to go with him to church. I tried to rinse it out and the same day momma had a 'tude and did not want to fix it for me. I now live in hot Arizona where I can try that Shea again, but NEver. I ain't taking no chances on potential husband's! Lol. Just kidding. It def goes beyond hair but man how disappointed I was to not be able to go because of my yellow curls.
