Okay Rosie: what did you wash your hair with us? I used this new way. Shampoo, these in over the other day smells amazing. I'Ve got a really nice kind of like lousy. This is for Peggy and Dolly. This is pet. Shampoo. Wait you, Oh God, all right! So Rosie, if you have like two seconds and you want to just put your hair up into something really cute, I like to take like two fingers of tendrils in the front. In the very very front, this is very 90s and everyone everyone needs to get highlights. Just in the very front, yeah hair, I used to love that ginger spice ginger spice, so basically take like two fingers width of hair in the front, and then I like to kind of just go through and weave out some like fun little tendrils. That will go like behind your ear and kind of hang out in front. I feel like when we did your hair for CFDA's. We did it so fast yeah, it was really fun. Did you feel, like I put my heart and soul into every way? Rushing me, and actually when I tried to recreate it a few days after the thing that really helped me was with pulling it back into a ponytail like in sections like you're doing now, rather than just like, scraping it all back. I feel like that way. You kind of really get to build a bit of texture and shape. That'S the mistake I might make cutting it all back. Yeah, like I think, everyone just thinks like they throw their hair back into a bun, but I actually always do it in two sections and I'm gon na take a little bit of so. I'M gon na take a little bit of texturizing, hairspray and just kind of spray it at the roots, because I like everything, to look really just undone and I'm gon na go through with my fingers and I do not use a brush. I literally, like I, rake the hair with my fingers, making sure that you have like enough height in the front and I always follow. We don't actually taught me this. I was working on the shows that you want to go from your eyeline and kind of come up to an angle to the top of your head. You don't want it like on the very top top, because that's gon na make it look like I Dream of Jeannie. You want it to be just angled with where your eye is nothing droopy like I get really crazy about buns it like hit right here, because it feels very grandma to me. I'D like it to be here because it's a little bit more of a chic or like lift that it gives you always pay attention to to your placement. So, like I'm looking at your part here, whenever you're doing a bond, you want to make sure it's centered because nothing's worse than like a lopsided bond and I'm taking a bungee band because that's when you get like that really nice again, like I'm all about a Facelift pony - and you can get these okay yeah, you can get these bungee bands at any like Beauty, Supply or an Amazon. These are from Ricky's yeah and I like to tighten it and then lifted my nose. We can always come through. I'M gon na make you a good snapchat filter. We can always go through afterwards and kind of pull with the hair. If you're doing this on your own, you got your little half pony flip your head upside down, so I'm basically going to now gather the rest of your hair, leaving the tangles out, I'm going to gather the rest of your little love and put it into that. First little ponytail and girls ask me this all the time about the short pieces at the nape of your neck. The best trick is bobby pins and I'm gon na leave a couple of little pieces and then the next, but I just take the hair - and I basically twist it like you're doing a shag, gnome French twist and just bobby, pin a little bit. How do you twist up to get those little pieces to stay in place so now, I'm gon na take regular a little rubber band, bring the rest of the hair up into that first ponytail you're, just so cute whoops! I don't all right so now. I want to make sure we have enough pipe here so now that everything's secure I'm gon na go through. You can also take a rat tail comb and just pull it it just to get like some fun little bumps. That'S what I love about this is, I think it had like nice volume, but it doesn't feel like promise all right. So now, I'm gon na take the ponytail. You have fine hair. This is a good time to spray your ponytail, even if you have like a little nub, you guys I'm telling you you can make a log into something really substantial and I'm gon na take a Mason Pearson brush. You can take a round brush a boar, bristle brush any brush. You have hold the ponytail and just basically brush down to get as much volume as possible. You'Re, not teasing it at the root you're just brushing down. Are you having the time of your life? Rosie? Yeah, like that yeah, it's like 80s you're done Rosie. This was great. Thank you. Now, I'm gon na take your hair. Are you paying attention? Yeah? Yes, okay, so now, you're gon na take your hair and you're gon na. Basically, I don't like to just twist it around, like people just do like a twisted ballerina bond I like to actually like create it kind of like you'd, be making a knot, so I'm gon na take the hair and kind of twist it like. I would be doing a knot and then just breaking that up all right Rosie. So now I'm just kind of twisting the hair into a knot. I'M gon na make it kind of small and I'm using French hair pins, and I just bend them a little bit. So that they curve to the head a bit and sneak them in where I can are you? Okay, yeah, you guys, French hair pins are amazing because they hide a lot more than bobby pins. Do and they're just easy to get into like squiggle them into places. To keep everything really secure, okay guys, so I'm gon na show you kind of my little trick to for getting that. Like perfect tendril. Look, I use two different tools, so what I'll do is I'll take a flat iron to get that really nice kind of Bend at the root to kind of just fake, a little bit of volume? If you need to and then I actually take a curling iron and I'll wrap, just like we did your waves for your, like down, look I'll, take hair and from mid length to end just kind of like lightly go back and forth on those ends. Just to get a really nice loose Bend that frames the face. I like that first Bend to be kind of around the cheekbone area and then I'm gon na go now and just twist. The hair right around these little tendrils are so important because you don't want to get too much curl because then it's like you look like Cinderella's like wicked stepsisters. You want it to just have a really nice loose Bend, so you want to just hit it really lightly. Another tip is, if you curl, and it's too curly, pull out it because, as it's cooling, that wave will actually loosen up okay. So now I'm gon na go through I'm gon na. Take a tiny bit of texture. Foam dried touch, your foam and put it through my fingers and just kind of rub at it. It has this amazing ingredient called diatomaceous earth. So it's like not a wet product. It actually dries as you rub it, so I just like to do that in the front pieces to get that really cool again, that, like cool texture and that halo of like fuzz, should I put you back in your CFDA dress yeah, I got a jump suit. It was so cool. I just posted a picture brown at the other day, because there was that just too bit - okay, oh my god, you're gorgeous you're. So cute, I'm so happy you like this look. I really do it's so fun. I can sleep in it for three more days. You look gorge thanks, Jenn, so see. This is the one thing I think this one's me hired back, because no one likes getting sprayed in the face of hairspray. I'M just gon na spray mind my own business. Alright, Gorge spray and hey, you look so so cute, okay, it's a rosy! We put one side back because I'm all about seeing a bit of the face, I'm using a blush brush with a little bit of hairspray on it, just to get those little pieces exactly where we want them and instead of like spraying, the hair with hairspray. I like to use a blush brush and just kind of like lightly tap it. You know getting lightly tapped yeah! Oh, this is really good for your girls. That hat just had a baby, and you have that hair growth, that's so annoying to like keep down use a brush brush it'll like lay it down exactly where you want it all right. Rosie here we go. This is your 90s bun with bits? How did I do I love it? Okay, good I'm gon na try and get three more days, we're out of it. Yeah, let's go get your CFDA jumpsuit, pretend

Yaki Clone: I'm blown tf away at all the hate for Jen.. I think she's so cool and has an ASMR quality.

Lydia Ouellette: Fam this is a red carpet method, not just an everyday casual messy bun. Jen HAS to put in all those extra steps to make sure that bun doesn’t move anywhere all night. And for anyone with a ton of hair, this is the only way to keep it secure.

akiyoshidai1231: I don't personally like Jen Atkin but I do like Rosie, she's adorkable! But every step in this tutorial makes total sense: you need two ponytails to maximize volume at the top, otherwise such heavy mane as Rosie's would pull down the roots , causing loss of volume and it would hurt afterwards. You also need to tease the hair to achieve more volume, grip and body. Bear in mind that hair and makeup for events need smaller steps and layering so that they by all means last.

AnaTriesEverything: Jen: no one likes getting sprayed in the face with.. hairspray Rosie: not with hairspray... Okay Rosie I see you girl☠

Emily: I’m happy for this video! I actually accomplished this hairdo after I cut my bangs and sides. I have fine hair and it looks fuller! Seriously super surprised I got this style to work!

Alejandra Quiroz: She literally does the same hairstyle in every channel she is invited.

Katie Goodrick: Love this updo tutorial so pretty!

P Johnson: This is the type of bun I wear when I have the flu.

Leanne: The trick is bobby pins. Wow, thanks I never would have thought of that. Ground breaking.

Emily T: Oh my gosh you two are hilarious! I'm terrible at messy buns but these tips were helpful! Xx

benedictaseruni: This is a messy bun for an award, not grocery store. 9 minutes to an award show is still effortless

Sergio Rodriguez: She’s a pro! Every detail makes her more appealing!

Romina Lopez Ortiz: This was a red carpet hairstyle not a quick two minute one and that’s perfectly ok! The outcome is gorgeous!!

lynxlou: I 'm definitely going to try the blush brush trick cause my bun always looks like a train wreck due to those baby hairs!

Who Bad: as a hairstylist and u r asked to do a hair tutorial like this, it's normal not to show all the things or share all the infos needed, respect her, respect us! if she will be so detailed or give you everything you need to know then i doubt somebody will attend her masterclass tho

Icey8682: I love watching these videos and the bun was soooo good. But I don’t think many normal ppl (not hairstylist) can recreate this..it’s just in the way Jen does it . Her touch....but still love to watch

nora daskalova: thanks, I appreciate the video and the tipps! Rosie looks amazing

Kirsty Macfarlane: Love it, even the pony tail was gorgeous

Kate Love: Rosie would look amazing with any hair style. She definitely doesn’t need a 9 minute bun lol

Jessica Tuiletufuga: Watching this is so therapeutic. Now I wish someone would do my hair

Debi Basile: Love it. Going to try it myself!

Janelli Marie: That was the cutest pony tail. I would have stopped there. It was perfect!

Ilaria Rigoni: Love it!and this haircut...so stylish!

Dalma Beöthy: Omg!!!I really love this hairstyle :)

Amanda Garcia: You are both so! beautiful!!! Wonderful tutorial:-) Thanks for the tips!

JesseLCH: The simplest hairstyles made for the red carpet or photoshoot are actually more difficult than you think. This is like the no makeup makeup look type of hairdo.

Beste Karaca: "If u have 2 seconds and go for a cute bun" she says and do it in 9 minute video.

Hard Coffee: Love Rosie but I clicked because of Jen's outfit it's just the cutest. So classy casual.

88mabelle: I love Jen Atkin. She works hard, she's great at what she does, she's always learning, and she's empowered. She's hustling in this video to share what she knows. I don't think she's rude or snobby. I think she's confident. Not all messy buns are created equal and it takes skill to make a messy bun red-carpet worthy.

Bea: Yess! Been waiting for this video since the last! two stunning women!

hrabmv: this is equivalent to fashion with holes in trousers!! i can get this look after a week of not washing my hair

Prisca Nemger: I liked it right at the ponytail, it's perfect there too!

Ines: Love Rosie but Jen Atkin is honestly an absolute bully on Instagram. She just waits until someone has a bad opinion on OUAI or Kim K's merch and then verbally harasses them. She's really abusive and insane.

EzzParrteeyy: gosh .. wouldn't matter how Rosie has her hair ... she's beautiful without all the fuss - really! xx

Petits Bijoux: I could only focus on Jen's blouse. I want one.

jaayyy000: Omg i dieeeedddd i love it!!! So many good tips and tricks thank you

Cjstylezxox: Love this such a brilliant hair tutorial xxx

hotpink000: Love this so organic and funny and educational

Alma Marisol: I love this! We need to get Jen her own channel!

therealbaglady: Forget about Rosie's bun, I love Atkin's hair!

Angelous 777: When Two adorable, sweet, beautiful and very talented ladies get together and amazing awesome things happened.

Xander X: Rosie is so pretty wtf I would trust Jen to do my hair any day ‍♀️

Charlotte R: They had a really weird chemistry. Rosie seemed bored and jen talked all the time

Who Bad: bts, tutorials, masterclass, and reality are diff from each other. Just be careful of ur words next time, use the platform to spread positivity and love. No Hate! Peace yall

ardi s.: Loved this look so much it gave me inspo to recreate it posted it on my ig @ardi_____s

Yaqeen S.: the end result looks exactly like my five seconds messy bun, beautiful though

Rosalie Maier: Looks amazing

Eliana Rodriguez: She's so professional.

kathy sandoval: I love how she started off by saying “if you have 2 seconds and you want to put your hair up” but the process was like 8 min long

Daisy Tudball: Everyone saying she’s taking too long to do a messy bun... you seriously think she would just do the twist up and pin? What would be the point in the video if all girls know how to do that already...

Jolita: She makes the easiest hairstyles look so complicated

A I: Hair stylist: You're so cute, Rosie. I can't even! Rosie: What? Upside down? LOL!

Tanya Teloni: Very very beautiful bun:) And those earings

Objective Persönlichkeitstypen: I tried to follow this tutorial in the morning and turned out there were so many steps that in the end I just did downturned ponytail think this thing needs a little bit preparing and practicing before actually want to wear it

106andie: Came here from Jen Atkin’s insta omg well at least your hair is still on your head and looks good. ❤️

OHTHECHITCHAT: Come on this lady is not even going to pop to whole foods with that hairstyle ‍♀️

HDR Noyb: I don’t think Jen is being rude , I think it’s just how they interact with each other like sassy girlfriends . If she was rude I don’t think she would be asking Rosie “are you ok “ a couple times throughout the video . People need to calm down !

Jovana Stankovic Popovic: I love Rosie, she's such a sweet and calm girl, down to Earth. But this Jen girl is like "I this", "I that" through the whole video, so annoyingly self-sufficient. Pipe down, woman, ffs.

Icy Awesome: Rosie and Rachel Weisz should play sisters in a movie! They are both beautiful English roses<3

Svetlana H: Her blouse is gorgeous

Valerie V: People go bananas for those Ouia products so I splurged on the wave spray. The smell was so strong and intense that I felt like I was being stalked by an old lady who went a little crazy with the Avon perfume all day. I gave it away after one use.

Ashton Marie: Rosie has a lot of hair!

Digser Abreu: The abundance of information in the video was key for all my future buns. My future buns thank u lol

Marlena Easter: Love all the details

Quixotic: the point of a messy bun is that its quick and easy. thats why its messy. genuinely messy, not fake messy. if you put a crapton of effort and product in it, its not a messy bun, its an intricate hairdo. just stating the obvious here

bulan bijak: I love loveee your youtube channel! Always get excited for new video!

Lilian Muhsin: Those earrings!!! I'm obsessed, does anyone know where they're from?

M.M: All I can think is Rosie’s going to have some fun getting all those tangled from her hair. And the breakage?!. I feel that Rosie is being super professional but I wouldn’t be surprised if her head was hurting during this video.

Miss Masonya: Girl bye, Jen made this way too complicated than it had to be. It's like listening to someone who is trying to sound smart but they aren't smart

Luise Renner: I really like Jen Atkin! She is so funny. And I don't like people to be kissykissyass all the time. Btw I think you can tell that she is timely pressured in the video. Rosie is great and fun but she herself said that she is late all the time.

Tori Spencer: Seems like a lot of effort to go to for a messy bun

Isshi Cabebe - Riley: Nice video, as always! I just hope your sound gets louder and clearer.

Chandelle Ross: She framed Rossi face peerrrrrrrfectly

Elona Gjashta: Love, love, love it!!!!!!

Chinara Aliyeva: When I get up in early morning, my hair looks like this

Mia Nova: I look the same, when I make my hair without mirror on the street

baoka chi: buns should never be too tight or pull, causes major breakage around the front of the hairline

Peach2022: Can you imagine being THAT beautiful? Rosie is otherworldly.

Nikki Davidson: Girl... if you don't flip, & gather that hair , put it in a ponytail, wrap it around and put a Bobby pin in right quick. A 9 min messy bun??? Reallly

RG: Her attitude throughout the vedio...my god. Rosie is such a babe ❤️

Sarah Bailey: Can this woman make an easy hair style any more fussy? Far too much time on her hands, real women do messy buns for ease ‍♀️

Elif Serra Öztürk: Rosie is pretty much

I Z A E L L E: what a gorgeous hairstyle! Suits Rosie so much !

Shën: I think ya'll are blind. Rosie is the definition of perfection, goddess and just a real walking angel. How can she be so perfect , I am almost scared to stare at her for so long :(

farah hasbany: You are so cute and incredibly beautiful and your relationship with Jen is adorable I honestly adore u

Farahs Color Palette: The picture quality is so bomb I wonder what camera she’s using

athina begni: It's amazing. Congratulations. Many kisses from Greece....

Demi Vera: Moree hair!! I love Jen!!

STEVE P: Rosie is beautiful.

Olin Quinn: Alright.. they’re friends. And Jen is the kind of person who has a dry humor. I think she’s just joking around especially w her friends..

Nur Thahirah: You are so funny, Rosie!

Jules Jayde: I love Jen !

K R: Thanks for the great video!

ally : I so wish I could do thiss

Gabriela Valtierra: When she said “ow” I felt that

Kayla Bruner: I think the knot instead of a ballerina bun tip just changed my life

V: I love Jen, ❤

M. E. B.: She looks gorgeous, but I fear she might have a headache.

꿈빛파티씨엘: 넘 이쁘다. 고급스럽게 이쁨♡

Wild & Belle: I don't get why people are saying Jen's rude, I really enjoyed watching her & it's really obvious she has a lot of experience. She also seems normal and down to earth, I guess if people aren't super sickly sweet people think they're rude .The simplest looks are always the hardest to achieve and did you see how quickly she was working?! I rated this video & Rosie is a girl after my own heart with her sense of humour
