Hey guys for today's video, we are going to do an easy updo inspired by one of the people. I follow on youtube and i really admire her name is alex. If you don't follow her, you should she's amazing. She did this updo and i saw it and i was like brilliant - have to try it. So that's what we're gon na do today. So let's go ahead and get started with any updo. You should always prep your hair. The mailman just came to deliver a package and i'm shooting in front of this mirror. The blinds are open. My ring lights up. I can only imagine what he thought awkward, but i used this thing. I don't even know what this is. It'S for, like you, know, a scarf and whatnot. You tie it um, but yeah. This is what i use. You could use an old cut up towel. You could use a scarf. You could use a rope tie. You could use honestly anything socks, whatever you think of. First thing you want to do is section off your hair, so you want two sections and the front. They don't need to be super big, so about yeah. I think that's good, so i can actually do a voiceover today, because my kids aren't here miracle, usually they're screaming and crying all in the background of my videos and i'm so sorry so now we're just going to pull the rest of our hair back into a Ponytail all right, so this is what we're working with to make sure you guys can hear me loud and clear. I'M going to do a voiceover you're going to need a lot of bobby pins. I use metagrip. These are the best they actually raise their prices like four dollars, which is just insane, but they are still amazing and i highly recommend them even with the price increase. So now you want to split your ponytail into two equal sections, so you're going to take one of your sections twist it around your finger towards your face, you're, going to bring it up over your ponytail and you're. Just going to pin one of the corners then give it another twist, come down to the opposite corner and then bobby pin that so then you want to take that strand and go underneath that opposite section of hair twist it and then just wrap it around the Bun, just tuck it up underneath and then bobby. Pin your ends now with the section hanging out we're just going to twist it around our finger towards our face and we're going to bring it under that bun that we just did so just take it under and then we're going to bobby, pin one of the Corners so then twist it again and we're going to bring it over to the opposite side and bobby, pin it and then twist it again and then we're gon na bring it under to the opposite side and then bobby pin it. So it's kind of like an s so then i'm gon na go back and add in some more bobby pins, just to make sure it's nice and secure. Now, if you have any ends hanging out like i do, you can just bring them up over the bun tuck them underneath and bobby pin now, with one of the sections up front, we're just dividing our hair into two strands and then just twisting them around one. Another all the way down so just make sure it's a nice loose twist. Then we're going to pancake it so we're pinching and pulling on each twist on each side, and then we are going to bring it around to the back and we're just going to take it up over our bun that we just created and then just take your Ends tuck them up underneath and bobby pin now, with the other section up front, we're gon na. Do the exact same thing then bring it around the back and then just drape it right over that twist we just did and then i'm just gon na open up the opposite twist, pull it through and then with the ends, tuck them up underneath bobby pin. Now we need to kind of fine tune, the updo so we're pinching and pulling we're adding extra bobby pins where they need to go to make sure it's nice and secure, but really just kind of fluffing everything out um making it look absolutely perfect all right. So now i'm just gon na take this half inch wand and i'm just gon na curl these a little bit. I don't want them to be super tight or anything. I just love doing updos that anyone can do you don't need to be like a bridal specialist to know how to do an easy basic updo. It'S wedding season. It'S summer lots of outdoor activities. This hairstyle can be worn anywhere. So i hope you guys like this. I'M gon na spin around do a 360 show you guys everything up close. So that's it! That'S the video. I hope you guys like this. I hope it inspired you. Let me know if you try it um, don't forget to like subscribe, leave a comment and i'll see you guys in my next one mwah bye,

Abigail Conner: So I’m a nurse and I did this style for work today. I must say it stayed so cute! All through the mask, the pulling, the squatting, the 95 degree southeastern Virginia heat and humidity! It was so nice to feel cute to the end of the shift without the normal ratchet messy bun I’m usually rocking. Thank you! Love love it ❤️

Sara Ingebrigtsen: Thank you for this, so beautiful and easy I have a chronic disease that makes me exhausted after doing very little, and on Tuesday it’s our national day and I want to do my hair without having to rest afterwords so this is just perfect you are so talented!

Ripley Rozenberg: I just did this for church this morning and it worked PERFECTLY. Normally I struggle with hairstyles and getting them to even remotely look like what the video showed but this one I did in about 3 minutes and it looks spot on.

La Niche TN: Love, love, love your channel! I have watched a bunch of beauty vloggers and always feel like my hair would never turn out as perfect as theirs. There are so many obvious edits. But you show when you miss a lock of hair or have a lump in a style and how to tuck, pinch and pancake in such a real way that I’m super excited to try a bunch of your styles. Thank you for being so down to earth!! You are gorgeous & I’m super grateful for all the beauty tips!!! Keep on shining!!

Lauren Moore: It looks amazing! Love easy hairstyles ,with also looking put together especially being a mom. Thank you! Love it

Tinker Shell: Love! I’m going to curl my hair tonight and try it tomorrow. Perfect for hot weather!!! ❤️

Dana Hellinger: I like how you show the finished style from all angles. A lot of times on Instagram, I’ll see a cute updo and then realize I have no idea what the back looks like!

Olive U: I love this hairdo! I will definitely try. I recently got my hair layered which makes it harder to style it. Your so helpful to me!

Jessica Carmona: So cute. I'm so bad at doing my hair, I love your videos and how easy your tutorials are.

Raparaz: thank you! I've got so many more events coming up than I'm used to and have already used a few of your updos before. I'm sure I'll try this one soon.

Rowan Manchester: SO pretty! Thank you so much for your videos! I have a semi formal dance and graduation coming up, could you please do a combined video for hair and makeup for that?

Nefer Chitty: In love with this hairstyle! Thank you!

Michael Middleton: Omg I'm so trying this! It's perfect for those hot days when you really don't want your hair sticking to your neck! We're having a bit of a heatwave here in England! Love your videos, you're an absolute star, but please never apologise for the momma soundtrack! Hearing your children in the background just shows you have a happy family home. I giggle when your kids pop up in the corner and you keep it as part of the video because it's just so real. I remember one of them handed you a random object in a video once, and it was just like AWWWW! It makes your channel so much more homely and friendly, it tells us more about you and sets you aside from those YouTubers that are all about themselves. You're a talented and lovely young woman, you're a joy to watch and learn from, and the fact that you just roll with it if one of your sons comes in while you're recording just shows us what an amazing mum you are! Keep it up, Lainey! Lots of love! Xxx

Kelly Camp: That is so pretty! Thank u for showing us how to do it.

Whitney Ochs: Love it! If only my hair was long enough. I'm stuck in the area where it's long enough to pull back but not long enough to do what I want to it

N Hyde: Beautiful. I’m so glad YOU have the class and integrity to credit the original woman who demonstrated this hairdo. Inevitably, by the end of the week there will be at least 5 more ‘people’ demonstrating this exact hairdo with no credit to whomever they copied theirs from. Integrity Matters. Teach your children well and please don’t raise ass hats. ☺️

Glo Whitehead: Will defiantly give this a go, thanks Lainey :-) Xx

Sidney Wood: These buns are as pretty as you !!!! Thanks for the amazing videos !

7027CATHY: Beautiful hairstyle, so easy. Will try it. Thanks for sharing. I follow her too, she is amazing as are you.

AngelH: So beautiful. You have naturally gorgeous hair, lucky you. Thank you so much

Therése Wallentin: This is so pretty Unfortunately at the moment my hair is down to my behind and it’s straight with no volume at all so many of the hair styles aren’t working for me. Need the hair dresser ASAP. Thanks for always providing great ideas

FitnLovinit: I may try this, but my hair is so heavy and it rarely stays in a bun! I have to do my hair for a wedding and has opted to do a braid with messy topsy tails throughout.

Izabela Drozdowicz: So nice! Thank you x

Joanne D' Mello: It's so pretty!! So full it looks i must try it since i bought small grip bobbyb pins and elastics too the other day!

Raquel Leiker: Love it!!

Aileen C: Love this! How many times did you try it before you perfected it?

Lacy McCarty: This is beautiful!

D Jones: You post the prettiest hairstyles. Thank you!

amanda whalen: It looks beautiful and I just may be able to pull this off…..❤️

Ciara Newland: GORGEOUS!!

Arras10: Super cute as always

Val Wright: You have such lovely thick hair which really works well with these styles. Any chance you could find a friend with fine, thin hair to show ways to make nice up-dos for those of us who are not blessed with such a luxurious mane? When I try your styles on my own, very fine hair, it always ends up just looking like a wart on the back of my head!
