Basic all Scissor Haircut | How to give a Basic all Scissor Haircut

#BasicallScissorHaircut #HowtogiveaBasicallScissorHaircut

Tuesday Tutorial brought to you by a horrible life decision to do this cut the morning of the first day back to school. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea but I was he$$ bent on giving him a fresh cut for school and around our house a haircut can't go un-fillmed.

It's not a secret that I love myself a good shaggy haircut in the summer but I also fully believe that one can have a manicured shaggy cut.

Check out this #allscissorcut and learn more about bangs, texturing, combing the hair, and keeping the outline of the hair in control.

Spread the love if this tutorial has helped you by pressing that arrow and sharing it or saving it for later when it's haircut day at your house. Thanks for watching!!

Hey everybody. I want to show you how to do an all-over, scissor cut. We've been growing out my little boy's hair for a while now., And even though we like it long, we still need to trim it up, keep it looking nice and fresh.. Let'S get it super wet. We're going to create a middle mohawk guide right down the middle of the head, so part about a half inch to an inch section right down the middle. This section will be your guide through the whole top link comb. All the hair out of the way that you're not cutting and then comb this straight up, keep your fingers straight and cut, and then you're going to take some hair that you have cut some hair that you haven't cut. That'S the hair that i have cut and then i'm going to match it to that and go all the way back until you run out of hair to cut go over to one side, and this will be the guide that you use um to match everything to So just take little sections comb, everything up, you can see. That'S where i have cut right there, and then i match it, comb that guide over to the other side and just repeat all the steps. Another big tip that i can give you is see how i'm combing um this hair and then i'm following with my fingers. You want to follow all the way up to the top. So if you didn't follow up to the top, if you just combed it and then just kind of went like that, see how not straight that is, and if i came up - that's not smooth, that's not straight you're not going to get a great haircut. You want to follow that hair all the way up clear to the top brush to the top and then cut finish the top part. Now we want to basically do the same thing in the back with the guides. We'Re going to create a middle guide right here in the back comb, all the hair that you're not going to cut to the side. This will keep your cuts really nice and clean, concise inch down the middle and you're going to pull this out starting at the bottom. So pull that out same thing so follow the fingers right behind the comb, decide how short you want it we're not going to hardly take any off because we still want it to grow and go straight up. Then you just keep traveling up the hair. So take some that you have cut, which is right there and some that you haven't cut, go all the way up. Then you go up as far as you can, without rounding to the head, see how i'm not rounding. If i were rounding, i'd come around like this, i'm just going to go straight out and then i'm out of hair, some hair that i haven't cut and some hair that i have cut and i'm going to match. The top is done. The sides are done now. We'Re just going to work on the outline of the hair, we're not going to use trimmers because it's still a little too long, so we're going to comb everything down and we want this hair to look shaggy. So i'm not going to do a lot of straight lines. I'M just going to make sure there aren't any long straggly pieces we're going to keep the babies a little bit longer on this haircut because for the most part we're going to keep his bangs down. Sometimes we'll push them to the side or push them up, but comb. This hair forward get those fingers right behind that comb and then keep some hair out and then turn your scissors up at this angle. So you can do some angle cutting make little v's right in those bangs. We don't want any blunt bangs see they're just jagged pieces, then comb that down and match what you've already cut to what you haven't cut, pull it out to the unicorn horn angle. So you can see right there, that's the length and that's the top length, so i want to get rid of all of that hair straight line. This will help if you're wondering how to get those bangs less blunt, but you also don't want them super long. So see how there's my length right there in the front? So if i pull that down that's how long the bangs are and do this around the whole front of the hair, the haircut is basically done. The top's done. The sides are done, the outline's done the bangs are done um, but i still want to make it look a little bit more shaggy and textured. So i'm going to take sections pretty big sections and i'm going to turn my scissors angle, cutting i'm going to keep all that hair out. Then i'm going to just turn my scissors at an angle and i'm going to just cut big deep v's. This will add texture to that hair. You just want to add different levels of that hair. You can do this if the hair's thick, you can do this um. If the hair is has texture in it or has curls, i would not do much of it if you've got really fine or thin hair. The haircut is almost finished. All we have left to do is the style we're going to blow dry. It super quick um and then i'll show you how we're going to style it. The haircut is done. This style is done. We just put some product in his hair and you know we of course had to get these wings flying out um. Thank you. So much for watching, let me know if you have any questions um. I hope you try this at home on your little guy. You

Lydia Smith: I have to tell you… my son has had to have facial surgeries and it’s left him with some sensory issues. He’s 2.5 yrs old and we’ve had so many haircut attempts that have left everyone in our family in tears. We’ve tried going to a salon, having someone come to our home, outside, inside, tv, treats, etc. Well, I think our boy is growing/developing just enough… so with the help of your tutorial, I successfully cut his hair today and it looks soooo good! I couldn’t believe how much your techniques helped me! Thank you! It feels like a day of redemption!

Amy Samarzia: Thank you!! My little 2 year old’s hair looks so cute, and I love that I was able to do this at home. This was my first attempt at ever cutting his hair myself, and I will come back to this video every time now.

Cassie Williamson: This is such a great tutorial!!! I've been cutting my three boys' hair since covid and I did watch a couple videos but this was a game changer!!! Thank you!!

Gordon Welty: Wow. This is literally the best and most straightforward tutorial I've seen, and I've been searching and watching for boys' scissor cutting techniques on and off for months! I'm interested in knowing how to cut around the ears. Did I miss a video?

Hera Rogers: I followed this and my son's hair came out so cute!!! He's horrified of clippers and I like to keep his hair a little longer anyways so this was perfect. I never see cuts like this on YouTube so thank you!!

Kaitlin: This is SO helpful! I have been cutting my 3 boys' hair for 5+ years now, but now that we are growing it out, its so hard to find tutorials that aren't the basic "clippers on bottom, longer on top" cut. Thanks!

Bailee Franks: This is so so helpful especially for special needs parents my son has autism and can’t tolerate going to get one so this definitely helped me thank you thank you thank you

Ryan Joslin: I've circled back to this video 2 or 3 times now, THANK YOU! Single dad my son is now 11, you explain everything ABC simple - definitely has given me a good base to work with,-

Kristin Becks: Great tutorial --thank you!! I have two boys and being able to cut their hair at home at times helps!

JoYo: I love the eye roll and sigh when you say you’re going to blow dry it real quick I have 3 boys I see that look all the time.

David Murphy: Your explanation is the best I have seen on these haircut videos, thank you! I have been cutting my own hair for years and I definitely just learned something new Also, your kids boredom expressions are hilarious. Keep it up!

Destiny Dooley: This is the best tutorial I've ever seen. Thank you SO much! So cute!

Jessica Rojas: This helped me SO MUCH to give me two year old his first haircut thank you

Moni Love: Thank you so much for this. I have a son with special needs who can't tolerate buzzers. I had to do this in a few different opportunities because he hates it but it came out pretty good!

Rebekah Hudgins: Thank you so much for posting, I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair for a while now and I have just been winging it. This will help so much for next time

Lauren Cee: Oh goodness, thank you for this. I have two boys, both who have hair that I prefer is not super short. My 15 year old son just doesn't look good with those close-cropped clipper cuts but every barber wants to use clippers on him. This shaggy look is perfect.

Hannukka: I just can’t get my head around how calm and patient he is while getting his hair cut <3

Angela C. Almuete: thanks for the tips! cut out my son's hair and I am happy with the results.

J87 Waldo: Looking good buddy thanks for helping my 2 year old sit still for this !!! Your a hero in my book !

Ivanka S: Thank you! This is excatly what I was looking for!!!

RedDesertRoz: All done and pleased with results (and importantly, so is the boy!) I certainly haven't done a professional job, but have done my best and there's a massive covid outbreak here right now so this saved us venturing out into the jungle.

Lain & Simple: So helpful! I’m going to try to trim my toddlers hair during breakfast! Haha

Sam Jones: You went in depth on what to do, thank you so much, I think I really want to try it!

Rachel Giorno: Finally a video I can follow!!! Thank you this was helpful.

Hella Green: Best tutorial I've found so far. Thank you!

tjbay13: You make it look so easy. I just know I'm going to botch it though.

Brad Kuenzig: great video...trying it for the first time this week. I see the angled cut on the front, and then the straight cut to shorten. Are you not cutting the angled cuts when you then cut the bangs for length?

Jennifer Ballard: Love this..my son has super straight hair and wears his bangs down and always ends up looking like dumber and dumber

Teaching AtHome: Two notes: 1) do not get hair ‘very wet’ - the video says to do it but with darker hair this makes it almost impossible to see the ends of it. 2) don’t use this method if your child has thin fine/medium hair. One of my boys is thicker and the other has thinner. Thin wet hair= impossible to cut like this. This was the hardest one I’ve ever done. I’ve done boys cuts now for two years. This was harder than my very first one. My hands cramped up, every time my littlest moved the cut would go wrong. We ended up much shorter than intended because when I was ‘done’ we had to go back over to fix it. Dry hair, point cuts, standing up & eyeballing it - sooo much easier than this was.

Rebekah Hudgins: I’m about to try this on my husband, hope it turns out good

Hillary Harris: His facial expressions cracked me up! I'm sure my son is going to be the same way when I attempt this!

mkvel301: I need more guidance for cutting over the ears. Do you have a video recommendation that takes it a bit slower over the ears?

Clara Michalak: You made this look easy . It's really hard to do myself.

Clara Michalak: My boys hair is curly so even when I wet it and pull it up it curls over my finger at the top which makes it really hard to cut.. no matter how much water I put on it acts the same way

Dreaming High: Love it, lovely boy, great tutorial. Thank you guys

Angela Smith: My first and only boy is a year old and thanks to this video I just gave my first ever boy haircut today. Thank you! You explained this so well and gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. It was nerve wracking and challenging but I think I did pretty good!

Tracie Roughley: I should have shown this to the hairdresser yesterday. This is what I asked for and she cut the back to meet the length at his ears and cut the fringe straight along his eyebrows because I asked for it "up out of his eyes".

I’m just sayin: If only my 3 year old was as patient and still ~sigh~ I have to quickly cut his hair and hope I did a decent job without him looking crazy lol

Alexandra Moore: Will this technique work if I'm cutting a few inches off the length?

Dario Aguilar: Jw how long does it take you to do this cut?

Francis U.: Brilliant!

Lucero Lozza: Thank you!

Clara Michalak: Many times I have cut my finger trying to cut the ends of his hair when i pull it up cos it curls over it

Sotheany Ngeun: Thank you

All things with Harmony: Came out cute

kristaisastar1: I feel like, if you're trying to teach how to do it, then you should wait until you can give a proper haircut. We can't see any change because you literally took no hair off. Next time, actually cut the hair so we are able to actually see what was done.

mel: That's my hubby sorted.
