Guess who finally got their hands on the bold hold liquid gold? I mean this thing has been sold out for ages and the fact that i got my hands on it. You know i had to come through and do a step-by-step tutorial for this lace. Wig install if there's a particular technique, you're interested in use the description box and you can click that time stamp, but girl go ahead and watch the whole video because trust me, it's worth it. You see the sledge, so the lady of the night is martina she's. This ginger brown, coppery red color, looks so gorgeous super on trend and trust me. It complements the complexion beautifully, but this unit is of interest because the cap construction is not your typical 13x6 lace frontal, but you get that what lace feel and you guys know, i'm all about wig modifications - and one of the most important ones for me - is to Remove the combs, especially if you experience breakage, and it also allows your wig to lay so much more flat. I just think combs can cause more harm than good. Now we have to work on this hairline it's a little bit longer and so with longer hairlines. The ear tabs protrude or extend beyond the ear curvature. So what i'm going to do is take the unit off my head and i'm going to use small hair scissors to trim the lace just around the hairline. I'M not going to modify the hairline, i'm just trimming the lace around it, and then you can put the unit back on and you want to allow the ear tab to lay flat naturally and use the rat tail comb to slide it along the contours of your Ear so that you can get the natural fit and curvature, and that's how you use the hair shears to just go through that part that you made so it's more seamless and again, the ear tabs lay flat when working on units. I like to trim my lace in sections. That'S just me: whatever works for you girl, please do it, but i find that mistakes happen and when you work in sections honestly, it's a lot neater and you can honestly curtail those mistakes that are sometimes inevitable, but don't be like me and get too ahead of Yourself and forget to apply a lace tint here, i'm using pressed powder. You can use a spray. You can use foundation concealer whatever tickles your fancy, but i'm doing this and then i'm going to put the wig back on and because i'm all about neatness - and i encourage you all to really make sure that your technique is neat. I like to use my double prong clips, so i can slick the hair away from the face. Now you may ask if i shift this wig, how will it look so i shifted it and honestly, there's no point. The ear tabs are either going to be too short or they're going to protrude on the opposite end, so you're stuck with wearing a middle part for the pre-wig install you have to use a skin protectant and the hair diagram stressed using the skin protect. Yes, i purchased it purchase the systems as they are designed because they all serve a purpose, but i'm going to spray this on a cotton round and then apply it directly to the skin. You can use a towel or you can spray it directly. But again i want to control where i apply it and it has a light coconut scent for the wig install i'm using the bold hold liquid gold, but i wanted to see how it compares to other gels i've used now this is a temporary hold and it Kind of reminds me of molasses: it's a bit viscous. It definitely is more of a liquid, but it's reminiscent of molasses, but it does have some movement to it, whereas the gel very thick it pretty much stays in place. Now i'm going to use a spatula to apply this i'll, have it linked in the description box. This is perfect for installs when you want to apply product directly on top of the skin protect, and you want to sheer it out or thin down the layer. You can apply a generous amount, but you want to make sure you don't apply it in uneven globs, so the spatula just helps me to create a clean layer. Now, as i was doing this, i noticed that the liquid gold started to develop like a white color. Maybe i let it dry down too much so that was my mistake and i toggled between both the cool and warm settings, so i would just keep it on cool, but i would not do it for nearly as long. I don't know why i did this, but of course, when i laid the lace down as you would expect, it did not adhere because the product needs to be just a little bit. Tacky have a little bit of that moisture to it when you lay it down and then you want to lay your lace in place and use the blow dryer. I don't know why i messed that up, but again i'm keeping it real. So you know what to expect: you see my little mistakes but of course the great thing is we can correct them. You can use water to sort of reactivate the product and you can get that tackiness so that the lace adheres to the skin once the product is in place and it has a hold you'll notice sort of like a firm tightness to it, which lets you know And it's in place as with most things you get better, the more that you do it so, by the time i moved on to the sides i had a down, pat but again, don't forget to use the skin, protect it's really important. Now you got to. Let me know: do you use the bold hold liquid gold? Do you use the skin protect like? What'S your take? Do you prefer this product over others again, this is a temporary hold. So this is not something i would wear if i'm going swimming, but you can get active with this particular product. I think you should just use some sort of scarf or elastic band to keep your lace in place because again, moisture can sort of reactivate the product and it can lift the lace. And one of the reasons why you want to use this skin protect is because you want to make sure naturally you're going to sweat. You just want that extra layer of protection. Now i've worn this wig for four days straight, i'm hoping i don't have a reaction. The skin protect does have a coconut fragrance. So again the verdict is not out. I will let you know, but i have super sensitive skin, but also do a skin test. That'S really important when you're working with new products, a skin test is your best bet. There may be a few layers that you find where the lace hasn't adhered. So you can do little touch-ups apply a little bit of product. You can use the nozzle directly like i do sometimes just for those smaller areas, but i'm going to use an elastic band, because i want to do my adult swoops, so i gave it some time and this hairline was a lower hairline. So i mean the hairline and my eyebrows that are non-existent. They'Re going to have a full-blown conversation, that's how close they are. They are very close. They are neighbors, but the great thing about this product is that it functions to adhere the lace, but you can also style your adult swoops with it. I wanted to see how it worked all by itself. No like customization, that's extreme. Now the product is really sticky. So that's something i actually do not like. I don't like sticky stuff on my fingers and even just with working with the product you can expect that there will be a little bit of residue. So that's the only thing that i'm like it doesn't have much of a fragrance, but that sticky feeling on my fingers so yeah. I'M not a fan of the hairline that really kind of disappointed me because it's super low, it's not as even they could have added more of a pre-plucked hairline, but again i'm working with it because y'all say i usually do too much. So this is what you get, and here i wanted to use a little bit of water just to reactivate the product. So it can give me some movement on it because it does dry down pretty quickly and i just wanted to redo my swoops because again, a lot of mistakes happen because i was learning i'm always in that learning mode. Just like you guys now, if i could describe the texture of martina, it's giving me a cross between like a light yaki and the volume is reminiscent of the kinky straight fill. So it's giving you a kinky. Can we give it a new texture? Because i think i'm on to something when i i mean they're - probably not going to do like a your kinky name but is giving a cross between the two most definitely but something i notice is when you apply heat to these units, especially after using a product To sweep your edges, it creates some sort of a shine. I'M not a fan of dry shampoo. You guys keep telling me about it. I just i haven't been converted, or maybe i haven't found the best one. So if you have recommendations, girl drop them below, but even with the little bit of sheen that we have and the luster on the hair, i love it. I think the feathered layers on this unit are perfect and for this price point girl, if you don't go, get this wig or go, get a similar style and practice your technique, because i laid it all out here for y'all. Like one thing about me, i give you the good, the bad, the ugly, and i even show my mistakes, and many of you appreciate that and please go get this hot comb and use the setting between 10 and 15 because you do not want to fry your Wig that you just purchased now you're like, would you recommend the boldhold liquid gold most definitely, and i want you guys to stay tuned for more tutorials using it in the future, because i want to get better at my own application. You know i like a good little flip in the front to give me some volume. Some height give you like those little poodle ears but like subtle, poodle ears like so. I just like to use a little bit of hairspray, i'm using the hard head spray and some double prong clips, just to keep the hair back and build that volume and we have a sleigh. We have a sleigh for the day and fall because it's operation fall. Fine in full effect, so thank you so much for watching make sure you subscribe comment below share this with your homeboys and your homegirls, because trust me they need this tutorial give this video a like, and i hope i see you in the next one
