Hey beauties today, i'm so excited because i'm bleaching, my hair again. I actually am doing the same exact technique that i used the last time that i bought well, not the last time, because the last time was kind of a fail. If you're curious, what my hair history is, it's all on youtube. I will leave my playlist in the description box below, but i'm using this same comb technique. I really love this. It is so helpful and easy, and literally every single one of my bleaching videos. I get comments telling me not to use box bleach when actually i really love box bleach, the revlon frosting glow kit has never done me wrong, but i decided to pick up this blonde me by schwartz schwarzkopf. I'M saying that wrong. I know i am and i'm sorry this had such good reviews on amazon that i picked it up. I want to put it to the test. Is this going to be really that much better than my favorite box bleach kit we'll see? Let'S get started, i always get nervous before bleaching, my hair, it's just like a natural reaction. Oh i totally almost forgot. If you're new to my channel, my name is deandra. I post lots of fashion and beauty. Videos go ahead and hit that subscribe button and now we'll get started. I actually want to do the two spots in the front. I know there's a term for it if you know it leave it in the comments. The last time that i tried to do this, i made them way too chunky like extreme e girl, chunky and learn my lesson and i'm gon na. Take it easy this time just going to do a middle part. The way that i did the comb technique, the first time when it was not a fail is i just took layers up from the bottom in like one inch sections, so we're going to be working in really small sections, so i am actually going to part my Hair on the bottom section and tie this part up just with a hair tie and then i'm going to split it down the middle. Like this now i'm going to mix the bleach, i actually did get a kit on amazon that has the bleach and the developer together. So this set was like 50 bucks, but it's a lot of bleach and it's gon na last me forever. Hopefully i like this because i'm i have a ton of it. I do actually have a mixing bowl here kind of profession. I should also say before we start, i am in no way a professional i'm doing this in my bathroom. I have nothing but trial and error experience, no schooling, nothing like that. So take what i do here in my bathroom with a grain of salt. Do your own research before bleaching, your own hair, not a profession! You should know that now, okay, so for real we're going to get started. Oh this has a scoop in it. Yay i'm going to take one of these in the bowl and then i'm going to squeeze out one scoop of this and it's at half. So i'm gon na do halfway now for the mixing it kind of does not look like it's enough bleach, but that's okay, i'm going to mix as i go, because i don't want this bleach sitting here too long. If i take too long coming to the top, then that bleach on the top - i don't want it to you - know how it starts puffing up. I don't want it to do that. I just take the comb and i put the hair through it just like that, and i kind of work with it a little eventually. The comb will just automatically pull it into two sections, and what i'm going to do is separate those sections. So there's the two sections i am gon na grab the top section. Take the comb out and we're gon na apply bleach to the top section. I'M not actually going all the way to my roots, because i do want like a balayage effect. So i'm just kind of painting, because the comb has already separated the highlights. I already know that this is the section i want highlighted so we're just going to paint it, but i feel honestly, like it's faster to use my fingers. I know lovely technique right again, not a professional not at all, and i am actually applying bleach on the back. Because again we do already have that hair, that's separate, and these gloves i got them on amazon. They have a nice texture too. It'S supposed to be like reusable professional gloves and i actually do feel like the texture on it's helping. The bleach spread a little better, i'm not good at oils. You guys, i'm really not i'm just trying to get this foil on here to keep the heat in. We got the first strand done, let's move on, don't you just love that technique, so good right, brad mondo's already reacted to one of my videos. He would love this technique, i'm sure, okay, so up here what you want to do or what i do is i try to blend so that those bleach lines aren't harsh the way that foil just went on it's so easy. I have some hope. I am actually gon na take the gloves off just to do the uh sections. So now i'm just going to come up another section. So just right above my ears. Honestly, i had this problem last time where i was kind of mixing up my section, i'm gon na bring this section to the front and i'm just gon na start clipping the sections that i've already highlighted. That way, i don't mix sections as i move up, i'm just gon na park this one in half as well. Okay and there's that section you just got ta work with the comb a little bit. I am going to move this to the back, so what i typically do is just start in the middle of the strand that i want highlighted, work my way down and up as i'm spreading it again. You want a nice blend from your dark to your light blend blend blend, and these are not fancy foils. This is literally sam's, pre-cut, foil sheets, and actually someone who watched my last video told me about ripping the foils in half to make them easier to work with, and she was right. So thank you. If you're watching this, whoever left that comment. Okay, i have made it to the top layer because it's actually a pretty thick layer. I guess i could cut it in half one more time. Let'S cut one more layer, i'm just grabbing and blending, i kind of tried to do it with the brush, but i just feel like the brush takes so much longer. I kind of do a mix of both the brush and my hands just so. I know i'm getting a good blend up here and work that out, but i will say that these gloves definitely helped spread the bleach so much easier because of the texture on this see what i mean about the harsh line, that's a harsh line. You don't want that you want to blend it, take your brush and turn it or sometimes it's easier to blend with your fingers. But you don't want just a straight harsh line like that and i'll show you why i say it's easier with my fingers, because i can control that and my fingers automatically don't apply such a straight line just naturally. So then blending it is a little bit easier again, not a professional. This is just what works the best on diy highlights for me. I just want to make sure that i get that front piece right here, because what i did last time is. I grabbed like this much hair and that's not really what i wanted. So i'm gon na make sure that there is bleach right here and then i'm going to do these highlights just a little bit lower. You want to keep the highlights that are in this peekaboo piece lower than that piece, so that it stands out a little more. That'S just what i'm doing now and because the comb has already separated all the highlights. That'S why i feel like i can be just a little bit messy by using my hands. Otherwise i would probably try to be more precise, but the comb's already done all the hard work for me. So now it's just really applying the bleach. That'S looking good might be a little harder on this side because i'm definitely right-handed okay, that wasn't as bad as i thought it was gon na be. These are my results i came outside, so y'all could see what it looks like in natural lighting, rather than my big studio lights. I got the result. I wanted this time. I'M really really loving it. There are some parts right here that aren't perfect, but i could just always do the side swoop thing. If it's bugging me that day, i will show you guys what i use to help tone the color. But let me get my phone on the tripod, so y'all could see the bat you part it down the middle. So that's what it looks like parted down the middle i'll turn around and show you guys the back. You guys i am obsessed. It came out. So good, i'm so happy that i tried this again. Let'S talk about what i used to tone it because it's so affordable and i literally picked it up last minute at target. It is this j here, mac silver brightening shampoo. So what i did is just rinse out all the bleach, and then i lathered my hair in this and let it sit about five minutes and then i just rinsed it out like normal, and it did a pretty good job of toning. There are some spots on here that probably could use a little bit more purple in them, but i have a toner routine that i like to do, which i'll probably go ahead and do that tonight. If you haven't seen that, i will leave it in the description box below, i do have a whole video, showing you guys what i use to tone my hair without actually using the toner, and i will say that this ag fast food hair stuff really helped my Hair feel super healthy and moisturized after the bleach. I know at the beginning of the video i did tell you guys. I was kind of doing a comparison to see if non-box bleach was actually that much better and it kind of is, and the only reason that i say that is because my hair still feels super healthy, which the blonde me actually said that it was supposed to Have some stuff in it that moisturized? At the same time, i think if i would have used a box bleach, it would have come out very similar in color, but the integrity of my hair does still feel super strong. For that alone. I think paying a little bit extra was worth it also because i got that huge tub of bleach. I wasn't worried about running out of bleach and i did actually have to go back on this section, because i missed a huge chunk right here and it was like no biggie to just mix another bowl of bleach, which really came in handy. So so this definitely counts as a win. I hope that you guys enjoyed and found this video helpful at all everything i used will be linked in the description box below so, if you're doing this at home, good luck take your time blend and i'm sure you'll love it. So thanks for watching, if you want to binge more of my videos, i will leave two of them right here as well as that subscribe button, so hit that button subscribe for more hair, highlighting videos thanks for watching i'll, see you guys next time, bye, bye, you

Deanndra Nunnery: Hey y’all!! So glad you are enjoying my results!!❤️ Wanted to pin a comment answering a couple of the most asked questions! • I used the smaller side of the comb • I left in for about 40ish minutes after applying the last strand. • I toned in the shower. Wash with purple shampoo (or blue if it’s orange) and apply purple conditioner as normal but let it sit for about 5 min. Hope that’s helpful!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Subscribe for the touch ups video!

Hannah Bosley: licensed hair stylist here.... not going to lie I thought this was going to be ssooo bad but I'm SHOOK!

Jillian Safa: This is so good better than any hair salon ive ever spent $300 at

Bri Elizabeth: As a hairstylist, I am BEYOND impressed!!! Was NOT expecting that, even after seeing the before and after thumbnail! SHOOK! Not gonna lie I was judging hardcore but mostly because most of DIY hair videos be so baddd Love it! Good job girl

Angelica Rodas: Hey girl! I followed this technique but using the revlon frost and glow in honey and omg! I absolutely love the results! I was nervous bc I have tried highlights at home before and had to dye it bc it was just bad, lol but this brush and your technique makes it so easy! Thank you for sharing! New subbie btw - love your content!

Kim Fortier: You've inspired me to change my hair. I've had the same medium chestnut brown hair for so long. It's time for a change. I've ordered the BlondMe bleach, BlondMe developer, texturized gloves and weaving comb. When everything arrives (mid October), I'll be doing my hair with the same techniques you used in this video. I've watched this video many times to ensure I follow the same techniques properly. Fingers crossed! Keep you posted on the results. Thank you so much for this video!

Kitty: BEAUTIFUL! I'm getting ready to do this to myself after 20 years of wanting to dye my hair (I'm 32, natural jet black hair, and love color but scared of bleach), and I'm watching as many tutorials as I can. Yours has been the easiest to understand, and your results take my breath away. Girl, I'd pay you to do that on my head lol. Wish me luck!! Thank you for sharing <3

Victoria Huerta: as a hair dresser I am so surprised you got so light with little amounts of bleach because I was starting to worry about it not being caked on and saturated as it should , but I’m in love with how it turned out

Xenagirl: Looks great. I used to spend 200 bucks twice a year to get my hair professionally highlighted. Then I tried the revlon highlighting kit and i realized i can do it myself for like 10 bucks. Its not as perfect as in the salon, but i think I'm the only one that notices any flaws. It works great and saves serious dough. I'm never spending money at the salon ever again.

**: I did this same thing myself and it turned out so good!! I was so scared but as long as you blend it with your hands as you go, I think it still looks natural!

highendchicks: the front bleaching is called a money piece!! looks great coming from a professional!!

Lex: You inspired me to highlight my hair at home, and it turned out better than expected. No more hair salons for me.

Roxxlle: Girl, you just gave me the confidence to take the plunge!! Love the results!

Dhss: This looks so amazing I’m in love with you hair bleacing videos. You seriously do it better than most hairdresser I’ve seen I’m so sad we don’t have those products here in Norway, it’s impossible to get any at home highlighting kits at all over here. The only available ones are Schwarzkopf blonde M1 super higlights and the Manic Panic 30 volume bleach kit. Does anybody know which one of those would be good to use on dark brown hair if I want a little bit darker highlights than hers ??

Michelle Norman: This is soooooooo good!! I had an appointment today to get this done on my hair, and my hair dresser had to cancel, I was so desperate for this, I found found your video and bought all the stuff online now that you put on your list and I’m gonna do it at home for myself. You have made this so easy to follow! Thank you so much for this! And it’s so much more affordable for me xxx

ʑєвяα ѕтяιρєѕ: the hair color goes with ur skin tone beautifully this is way better than when i spent 200 plus on highlights

Lily Coffman: the fact that you’re using members mark foils & your hair turned out SO GOOD is the best thing ever

Marilyn: Hi beautiful girl, the first time I did my highlights watching your video it turned out so beautiful. I had lots of great compliments from everyone. The second time I tried to retouch the roots I had similar fail experience that you had and I had to colour my hair all over in chocolate brown. I want to try the highlights again. How long did you wait from when you coloured your hair and did the highlights again?. Thank you. Marilyn

Amelia Contreras: Girl it came out so good!! Going to have to try!!!

Kelly E.: I LOVE BLONDME its so good. It kept my hair strong and it lifts hair color so well. Also it smells really nice compared to other bleaches. I can't wait to buy that comb, the highlights look so good.

fumingsalmon: Love your videos on highlighting...got inspired and did mine too and it came out wonderful(and it was first time for me)... I used the comb technique!! As I was first timer I thought it will take me lot of time to separate hair... so I separated hair using comb all through my hair and put a tiny clip on them(got them at Sally’s)... once I was done with whole head then I mixed bleach and applied to each section... that way the processing time between sections was not too much... also no washing hands in between sectioning hair and applying bleach!!

BD: Omg that turned out awesome I love it!!! Good job girl‍♀️

Rachel Navarro: I loved it. Great results ❤❤❤

Marisela Saenz: Your hair looks amazing!!! You did a great job!!! I just might try doing it too

Eileen Fuentes: Stylist here! Beautiful job! I'm going to do this on my own hair!

Celinay Love: It looks amazing! And so do you

22babyg22: I love the way you separate your hair with the comb. It’s absolute genius. I have so much trouble sectioning my hair and I been looking for ages for a way around it. Thankyou

thatgirlnoelia: It looks amazing! I love your hair videos! For the last week, I've been debating doing highlights again.. and this video pops up! It's a sign!

Dayane Dias: Ficou lindo

Maya The Bee: I have the same comb - the first time using it ... it was difficult but the second time was OK. It's a very useful tool ! This bleach is also on my "to buy" list :) Great results !

Sophie W: Yeah ,the final result is stunning & makes your skin tone really good beautifully too x

Nicole: Looks amazing! Going to do this tomorrow

Plaub Hli: Damn girl!!! YOU DID THAT!!!! It looks so good!!!

Larissa Marcelino: Thank you for sharing! I have a pixie hairstyle, but this has simplified things for me big time ☺️

Tori Martinez: Omg I love the way this came out ! I ordered everything you linked super excited to try this ! Quick question! If I wanted to go a little bit lighter what would you recommend I do ?

Vickie Inks: Thank you for all of your videos. Just ordered all of these products today on Amazon! I am pretty good at doing little pieces in my hair but this comb will definitely help. Can’t wait!

Daniya Elmubarak: Hello Deanndra, I really love the results it's such a masterpiece I am really thinking of going to the Salon to get Balayage. I bleached my hair with box dye 3 years ago and it came horrible and I put a relaxer on it because I did it myself and I had no experience and my hair fell off. My hair was long and healthy but that was an impulsive move of mine. After that I got a hair cut (ear length) and I started taking care of my hair using deep conditioner, oils, masks and hair vitamins. Now my hair is healthy and thick like it used to be, but my question is should I get Balayage or my hair is going to be damaged? Love you Deanndra

StudioM: Lindíssimo, amei !!

Alexa La Ray: Girl yes!! I have checked a couple of bayalage videos to see which one to "copycat' and this is it right hurr gurrll!! Your results are so bomb my 7 year old daughter even asked me how you became a 'whole new woman" so fast. Lol. A fabulous salute from Amsterdam, Holland. X muah x

Melissa Martinez: Hoping for a reply How long did you keep the bleach in your hair once you put it all in? Also for the highlights is the silver toner shampoo the only thing you used for that color result?

Killians Army: It turned out so so good. Love it

marilisa peguero: It came out really good. I just dye my hair at a level 4 today. I’m going to use it as a base to do some highlights in a couple of weeks

Samara werneck: Ficou lindo demais

Julianne718: Wow! It really turned out beautiful! ❤️

Jena Söderholm: Looks really nice...soft and natural Thanks for uploading the video

Krista B: I tried your cap technique early in quarantine; it worked really well, and I've since subscribed and really enjoyed your videos - question, do you sometimes do an all-over color and 'start from scratch' so to speak? I left myself a little patchy with my last attempt in which I wasn't using your one of your techniques.

Eva ⚘: I do the same !! I used my fingers You did it incredibly well...but your hair is so beautiful in any colour !! . You look gorgeous girl !! I don't go to hairdressers either because the horrible hair i always end having after a visit to a salon and the money they ask for ( not cheap precisely ) so more than 10 years doing it myself . Sometimes worse, sometimes better ... but yours, is impressive !!

Wendy Nelson: Of all the many vids I've watched, this one is the absolute best ! Fabulous results and im going from dark brown to blonde diy so this was a great help, thanks so much

Monica Lares: Your hair turned out soooo beautiful!!!

Shakurah Williams: You did amazing! Love your hair!

april hanako: Hairstylist here! I use blondme in the salon and it’s my favorite for dark- brown hair. Just curious how it looks straight since balayage always looks good curled even off its spotty. But curled looks good!

ELSA ALANIS: After watching this video I’m 100% determined to bleach my hair at home ✨

Yvette Correa: Girl I’ve been putting off doing this but your videos got me the cap one and now this comb it just seems easier! Okay okay I’m running too Sally’s now! Lol

S WOOLSEY: You have beautiful hair before and after !!! Great job !

LAURA HICKS: Holy shit !!!!!! You just gave me the motivation to do my hair next time lol I spend 200+ last hair visit. Your hair turn out amazing

Gava: Love Love Love your work. just a question, HOW LONG DID YOU KEEP THE BLEACH FOR? Definitely your new subscriber or should I say fan. My sister just spent $300 on her hair and the stylest completely butchered it. Definitely trying your method at home. Keep doing the amazing work. Love from Australia. ❤️❤️❤️

priscilla: i never knew they had a comb like this!! thank you for doing this video! im going for the same look so im a little nervous i have virgin hair but im waiting on the comb to come in but i love how your hair came out❤❤
