How I Color My Hair: Clairol Textures And Tones

I get asked all the time about hair color. And I just want you to know that I love the Clairol Textures and Tones brand. It is the only coloring system I use. I have been using it for about 3-4 years and I haven't had any problems.

Hello, everyone welcome to my channel so today I'm going to be doing something that you guys always email me or direct message me about on several of my social media platforms, and that is about coloring. Your hair know it can be a scary situation, and I know that many of you are very touchy about that, but I have been coloring my hair for about maybe four years. The only brand that I use that I'm going to talk about today is the Clairol textures and tones. That is the only one I'm going to recommend that you can buy out the store, not saying it is the only one, but I'm just saying this is all I use. This is great because there's not a lot of harm or bleach it in there. There'S no ammonia in there and it's been pretty safe. For me, I've been able to you know, obtain retain length. I'Ve been able to keep my hair healthy and there's no breakage. My hair is not drying out and all that stuff. So today I will be coloring. My hair, this is the 7g lightest blonde. I already have it in there, so I just kind of want to UM go on top and make it just a little bit lighter. So for those of you that are ready for the spring weather and you want to try some color, I do recommend this brand, so I'm going to show my process. So if you're interested in that stay tuned, and so in the Box, you have the Pantene um conditioner. This is what you're going to use lasts. There are steps on the indices step. 3. Sorry, I'm not going in order. Then you have the. There is no ammonia, moisture, rich hair color. This is the 7g lightest blonde. This is the level 7 um colorant activating cream step two, and you also have a pamphlet in the inside. That probably would have. It will already know. Cuz I've colored my head several times, but it doesn't you that may not know there will be a booster pack in there. If you like, really need a boost in you know, your hair may be a little bit darker. Then you may want to add this packet. It is your choice: if you want to use it or no, you will have a set of gloves, you will have directions and all that good stuff. I know what I'm doing so. I don't need directions right now. So first thing I'm going to do: is I'm going to take the step to bottle and I'm going to open it up. I'M going to take this step, one bottle. Hopefully you guys can see and I'm going to pour it into the step to bottom. I'M sorry, then I'm going to put the cap on make sure it is secure. Then I'm going to shake now. You can add your booster peg in there now, but I like to go ahead and give mine a shake and then go back and add my booster in alright. Now that I've shaken everything up, I'm just going to shake the package just to move the powder down. It says to make sure that you hold away from your face and avoid inhaling these contents. Okay, open your bottle up and you're just going to pour it in going to secure the lid and you're going to shake some more okay. So now that we're ready I'm going to remove this cap here very carefully, and I always use my box everything that I need to throw away. I put it in the box, move it out of the way it's just easier and you don't have to worry about. You know a mess I like to do me personally. Is I like to squirt just a little bit out, because I want to make sure that it mix all the way up to that small want to make sure that the mixture has mix really wet loaves on make sure you have on something that you don't care About messing up okay, now I'm going to part my hair kind of Midway moving it out of the way, so I'm putting one ponytail in the back. Okay, you see that cuz I like to keep part of my hair dark. So now I'm going to have that. I'M ready to apply my color now I don't like to dye my roots. I, like my roots, to be dark. You can, if you like, and if you want to dye your roots, make sure you do that black hose the heat from your body will make your hair turn really really quick and by the time you apply here first and get to the end of your hair. It is changing tremendously before it's changing here and you don't want to be like bright light. So with that being said, I'm going to go ahead and start the process, I'm starting with my ends. Sometimes I like to put it in my hand and work. My way you and I'm not going to go wait. I might go just a little bit up just to kind of brighten this up just a little bit and then I may touch a little bit of that so that I can get that color here. So I'm kind of keeping the trio tone going just to give it like a different look. I don't just want, like all one color, I like to see a variation of color, but it's up to you, it's your preference on what you like. So I'm just really taking my time and focusing on where I am applying the color now make sure I open the hair out so that I can easily distribute the color. If you have a lot of hair, you want to do all of your hair, then you may want to use a whole. You may want to use two bottles. Okay, now I'm going to work my way, a little bit upward just a little bit you I'm going to do the same thing on the next side and I will be back with that side completed as well. Okay, so I applied the color all over. As you can see, I came up just a little bit and I also put some in the back just a tad. I only went like halfway up because I noticed that I had some color back there anyway, so I'm thinking, maybe the last time I did my hair. Maybe I did that so I just went in and added a little bit more just a little bit, but still halfway up all that's going to be my dark color. So now my next step would be once I make sure that I have all the color in. I am going to put a shower cap on or I don't, even if I have a joke. Okay, but if I don't have a shower cap, I still know away to steal. You can always use a grocery bag. So that's a neat little trick, I'm just going to roll it up is to make it easier. You can clamp your hair as well like this, but I don't want to mess the color pattern up of what I'm doing. Okay bottle and I hate to waste color. So let me just go right back through and just touch up on. This want to remove my gloves. Now. No mess want to take a trash bag. I'M going to put my hair in you still may have to touch it a bit, but it won't be as bad just to get that heat going and that's it so I'll be back to show you what my color is going to turn out to be all Right guys, so I am back and I've washed and just wash my hair - and this is, I know, Lou, so I'm going to use my step 3, which is my panting conditioner, I'm just gon na apply it all over. You have your hand it like me. The two the two can last up to two times, but I like to make sure I'm getting it in Oh more blood. My roots are still dark, just like I like creating, but it came to tell you something about clear, I'll color. That makes my my curls. Like pop, I mean that's just what conditioning hello somebody there my results, I got the two-tone colors going. You got the dark brown, you got, the honey get the Auburn. You got a little bit of the blonde, got the lightest blonde, so yeah for those of you that have questions about any more hair, color experiences or tips tricks whatever you want to call it. LaJuneYevette: The conditioner that comes with their hair color is EVERYTHING

Linda K: I totally agree that Textures and Tones is the absolute best hair color.  My hair is relaxed and I've been using this for many years. Recently I became tempted to try something different and I used Garnier Olia and I am soo sorry that I did that.  It dried out my hair very badly and caused a setback that I'm currently trying to recover from.  I've been trying to give my hair lots of TLC and restore it to its former health.  And yes I'm going right back to my beloved Textures and Tones!  I will never stray from it again... Two thumbs up for this hair color!!

Candice After All: Loved your results! ! I currently use Textures and Tones as well, the Honey Blonde..but I want to try this shade next, for summer! I love your technique! It came out so pretty!! TFS

kyrahsmommy: I just put this color in my hair!!! I did it twice in three weeks. I didn't loose my hair texture at all and it's not dropping out at all or seeing it shedding.i think it's due me always making sure my hair is conditioned anyways and oiled. I put a pH and keratin treatment in afterwards and also a lock in blonde packet which made it more golden and less brassy looking and it has hints of platinum blonde too mixed in. it's sooooo beautiful! i love how my hair turned out. I wish youtube let you post pics lol.... but your hair is so long and pretty. I like your curl pattern too! it turned out great!!! thanks for sharing!☺

Ricki L. Heard: When I initially died my hair some months ago (February), your video was one of the one's that I used to study the process before I tried it myself! Has anyone been able to find that conditioner anywhere else? It's the business!!!

MSE. Dzirasa: TFS You look great. :)TBH...Textures and tones tightens my coils...I use it to cover my grey hair, and have had no problems for years.I think it's the safest box dye out there for all Afro hair types.Sisters, please stay away from l'oreal Feria ombre for dark hair(it has a Black model with coils on the box.) That dye straightened my ends; I ended up cutting off 3 inches of hair. #TeamTexturesAndTones. made exclusively for women of color...Yeah!

Unapologetically NeekNeek: Great video! I just put mine in while viewing your video and instantly my curls start popping. Alright now come through Clairol
