High Ponytail Your Wig - Bobbi By Envy - Spotlight Elite - Alopecia Universalis & A Pretty Good Life

Hello, everyone, my name, is Jackie Bennett. I am here today to a do. My very first youtube video and I'm doing it because I feel like we're supposed to give back as human beings. It is our responsibility to lend to the cause and what is that cause? You may ask the cause: is the wig wearing cause for those of us who have alopecia? I have alopecia universalis. That means I basically have no hair all over my body. Yes, the carpet does match the curtains, and you know I've been watching these YouTube videos for a decade, maybe just leaning on YouTube for advice about how to best view my wigs what wings to buy. I basically won't buy awake until I've seen it on YouTube, with a few exceptions, of course, but um today I saw work. I drove by my favorite wig store in Manhattan and picked up. Brooke Brooke by envy. Envy is a high higher end wig brand, and I just think that it's a wonderful thing, so, let's get right into it. Oh, I should probably mention also that right now I am wearing wearing spotlight elite that is v Raquel Welch spotlight bleep is Raquel Welch wig. It'S an amazing wig. The ponytail obviously didn't comment a ponytail, I'm capable of making ponytails with just about any wig. That falls beyond the shoulder and in fact I promise to show you how to do that. In case you want to know half the outcomes about just to let you know, I don't have any hair whatsoever. So what you're? Looking at there's no leave out? I could see the little line from the lace. This is called monofilament lace, so back here is monofilament up. Here is lace. You can see like the edges of the lace, but it's very easy to lick and hide no need for all that gelling and no need for all that. I I do wear wigs by lower end brands. Like you know, free tress and Vivica Fox biblical fox actually makes a wig named Jill Jill by Vivica Fox, and I'm able to that. I think is amazing. I'M able to get it up in a nice ponytail everybody's having, but I'm not gon na. Remember lon, I'm not gon na. Do this. I promise I promise not some bamboo on I'm just gon na go right into Brooke, get it go to lady Di's, wigs in the net 30 history. This is Bobby in the color medium brown. That'S my envy very good brand good inexpensive work. I don't know! I don't even know how to say this, because there was a time I would never dream of spending $ 260 on synthetic weed. But you know what you get older and you figure out that it just makes sense to spend some money rather than just doing your hair every two weeks, those those um those other ways. You will keep you in there forever and as you get older, you just realize that you don't have time for that like to be doing your works all day, long, that's crazy to me, but anyway, okay! So here's the card. I already showed you that, so I need to look again but okay, so I was talking about the monofilament links for those of you. Don'T know this is monofilament, oh by the way. The color of this I did tell you is medium brown right. Okay, so it has these pretty highlights, and it's basically just like a number four mixed with a number six and few strands of the number two which is really beautiful. It'S just a gorgeous color anyway, um, okay, so calm that, like this with anyway, I've never been able to pull a week out of the box and just throw it on my head and make it look great because they don't look like like her name, is Bobbie Right now, but she looks like a Bertha okay anyway, I'll come right back, I'm gon na put it on for you just a sec. Okay, I'm back. I went ahead and I got my 20 year old wool dryer with the tape dog brush thingy and I took my hair off. Obviously, as you tell you, I have alopecia universalis. I have no hair on my head. I have no eyebrows. I probably did a pretty good job on my eyebrows today, okay, so anyway, let's get right. This is my spotlight elite ponytail. This is how she looks like when you take her off she's all gloomy cuz, she's old. Oh, I meant to tell you that to this spot lately, I'm pretty sure I had her for a year which probably isn't old, but then again probably is I don't know, oh when I had to cut off my tag. These are the adjustable straps, not my favorite kinds of straps, but I usually like them the bra hook ones, but that's alright. You work so late or whatever, yes, okay, so this is Brooke straight out of the bag. Okay, she's too late. She is not on tight enough she's gon na fall right off my hand off. When I stand her, I should glue her. I liked it. In fact, I wan na glue her hold on a moment. Okay, I used my no mess. Super lace glue! That'S how you do it! Thank you later, I'm using that because it works amazing and it's inexpensive and I'm gon na glue it on, because when you style a wig you definitely especially when you're going within with a blow-dryer and the brush. You don't want to be worried that it's gon na fall off and she is on that. Movie is amazing. Okay, so it comes with a boy. I have to get my comb, I'm sorry I'll, be right! Back! Okay! I have a comb so um. It comes with a left part I usually like to. Where am I here with a right part, but I'm kind of digging the middle, even though I don't know if I'm that fancy, so I don't even know how to do it, but anyway straight on the bag, it's not so bad. Actually, you can, you know, do all that pinup stuff - I don't have any clips here with me today. I have to admit when it comes to hair and makeup. I am so old school. So I have friends so girl. You never change your makeup since 1994 and they're right. I really have not. I may have changed the brand, but the colors stayed the same. I even have on my blue eyeliner and I just think it's so dope. 20. 30 years later, I still think it's dope. Yes, I am 43 years old, so I do have a lot of years vested in my alopecia experience and my wig wearing experience, and I have a lot of advice to give. If anybody needs advice, I'm married. I have two plus five kids, my sister, I'm never gon na wear a ring. If it looks like this, I'm just not aware it. My sister has suffered a stroke. Unfortunately, some years ago, oh it's February, and I hear motorcycles in New York, which is great because that just means that spring is upon us. I just love it I mean. I'M sure spring is really not here, because it has winter has a funny way of rearing its ugly head anyways. Today it was like 60 degrees outside which I love sorry about that. Apparently I can't plug in my blow dryer and I don't know YouTube at the same time, so I have to change things up a little bit, which is probably better because I'm probably more attractive in this light. Hi yeah, I'm actually liking Brooke straight off the bag. Straight out the box: okay, okay, the problem with this light, though, is that I can't see okay, okay, yes, so, though, saying I have two plus three children, I have two my own and three that want my sister. I'M married blue it'll be like fifth it'll, be 15 years in 2018, so yeah left goes on. You lose you're here when you're 12 years old and the world ends, and then it begins again and then it ends and then if he gives again and then it ends, and then it begins again as long as you keep going and keep kicking through. It gets better and then it ends again and then it gets better. But anyway, okay, let's, let's try to style this girl, like you, okay folks, so that's up you old, like four minutes to basically take this out of the bag blow-dry, it give it a style that appeals to me somewhat and I feel like honestly, I okay, I Don'T really like how this part looks here, I feel like. I need to work on that, but I will at some point I can clip off some of that edge cuz. I see a little lace kind of scalloped edges on that lace. It'S just weird. I don't want to go too deep in there, but anyway, like I did earlier, I like to use my saliva and just rub that down okay, so this this piece right here it it bothers me a little bit so I'm gon na do something that, for you Brandon Weaver's, I don't I don't. I don't think you should do it, but I'm gon na go ahead and do it because I don't know they may be a little crazy, but oh, my god and snip away. It solved this because, like how it's falling right there, the front, so what I do is I take my scissor and I kind of hold it down like this, and I don't. I don't do that. I kind of just use my shears as like a blade just go in like that and that's all I'm gon na do for now. I'M sure this is my wig, I own it. So I'm gon na mess with it about 3500 times in the future, but I'm not gon na mess with it anymore. Well, with the exception of right now, that's it! That'S only do it, and this is Brooke.
