Hey Y'all!

I'm back with another side swoop hairstyle and this time we're tying our hair half-up!

This style is super easy for a daily look and you can also dress it up with some decorative hair pins like I did for a night out. This style usually takes me about ten minutes to complete and that is the best part! I love the volume on top and the sleek clean finish around my hair line. Giving me major Ariana Grande vibes!

I hope you enjoyed this video!

Hey guys, it's reba and i'm back with another tutorial. So today we're going to do a really really easy one. It'S a side swept half up style um. You guys have been requesting this for quite a while and the reason i never posted it is because i feel like there's already so many tutorials for this style um, but obviously i'm gon na do it with my own special twist. So i'm gon na show you guys a really really easy way to do this style, so we're basically going to just decide which way you want to part your hair from the right or the left. I'M going to part my hair on the right side and when you're parting it you don't want to do it straight back. You want to do it on like the slightest bit of an angle. Okay - and you do not want this part to be pretty perfectly straight. Normally, i'm like not that picky with uh partings, i like more of like a natural kind of flow of things when i do hair, but for this specific style you want a nice sharp, clean part, so carve out your parting, and you guys see it has like The slightest bit of angle, so you want this parting to go back about two or maybe three inches. You don't want it too far back okay and once you get to the top of the parting you're just going to create a bit of like a triangle. So you guys see here i have my crooked triangle: okay, so once you have it you're just going to kind of roll it up and we're just going to kind of put it away for a minute while we do the rest of our hair, so we're just Going to kind of clip that section away - and now you just want to grab some kind of fine-tooth comb, i'm using a teasing comb, because i just like the way the bristles are super fine and together, and they give me a really clean finish when i'm tying. My hair up and you want to just basically roughly tie your hair up and when you're tying it up. You want this to be super super sleek and clean on your hairline, okay, you're, going to have to use some gel some hairspray, whatever you need to use. Um to get your hairline nice and clean okay, you want it to be quite high. Okay, so don't tie it like loose like don't tie it down here at the back of your head. You want to make sure that the ponytail is on the top of your head, pretty much um towards the end of the parting, okay, so nice and tall, and once it's tied up, it's really hard to get all of these like lumps out and get this section Smooth so take a couple of minutes to really really smooth out the section before you tie it up, and that means cleaning up the hairline and getting everything nice and smooth. So once we're happy with that, we're just gon na very quickly tie our hair up nice and high. So now we're just gon na un hook this, and you can see that it's coming together really really well. So you can either leave this kind of down and let it do its thing or you can tie it kind of slick and down, which is what i'm going to do. Okay, so for this part before i tie this up, i just want to clean everything up. Just give it a nice bit of hairspray and really lay everything down nice and slick and clean okay. So, basically, to tie this up, it's super super easy. All you need are two bobby pins: okay and some hairspray, or gel or cream. Whatever you like to use in your hair um, i like going with hairspray, so i'm just going to give it a spritz, and while the product is still wet, you want to just quickly go right down into the roots and slick slick, splits, flick it down, and Then just kind of decide how you want your hairline to look at this point. I think i, like it kind of looking like that that, to me, looks really really good, so i'm gon na give it a really really tight grip and without messing with that, i'm just gon na fold my ear forward and it's gon na go behind my ear And we're gon na clean up my sideburns in a bit um, but that's how it's gon na go: okay and the bobby pin you want it to go behind your ears, because you don't want this bobby pin to show okay. So i'm gon na fold, my ears over down and this bobby pin - is going to go on the entire section behind my ear. Okay, and what i'm doing is i'm actually crisscrossing um the bobby pins like that? Okay, so i just put one in and now i'm gon na put another one going downwards to cross it so that it doesn't um move around on me, so that should keep the section uh, nice and firm yeah. I let the side burns out. I think it looks a little bit cuter, okay, so now at this point we are pretty much done. It was so fast and so easy to do the style, um. And if you want to touch up your curls, you can so. I have like a one inch wand here and i'm just gon na very quickly just touch up my curls, so i'm just gon na very quickly wrap them. These curls are like about three days old, so they definitely need some touching up, and the good thing about this hairstyle is that you can create any texture that you want. So you can do waves. You can do full-on curls, you can do it even with your hair straight. I just like creating like big big waves when i do it. Okay, so now that all our curls are in, you can just kind of break everything up and if you want like a little bit more volume in these, you can brush them out and it'll just kind of fill everything up a little bit more um. But if you want them to look kind of like refined, you can just use your fingers okay, so you can basically leave your hair like this, and you are completely done. If you find that you're lacking volume in your ponytail, you can also tease this area a little bit um. I think i'm pretty good. I think i can um live with the amount of volume that i'm getting um and, lastly, what you can do, which i'm gon na do is grab some uh decorative pins, um and you can add them to your hair on the side, and i think they look Really, really pretty so, should i do one or two guys, one or two one. You think i should do one only if you leave something i'll leave one i'll leave two for you can i do two and then leave two for you. Okay. Yes, i really like that. That looks super super pretty. What do you guys think? I really hope that you guys have found this tutorial helpful. I know this half of hairstyle looks a little bit tricky because of the bang area, but, as you can see, it's super super easy to recreate.
