What'S good guys is either walk, but on the video, if your new hit please subscribe and make sure that notification bell, so you could be notified every time I put so today's video is going to be all about parting, your hair, to get ready to cornrow it. I noticed that some of you guys struggle when it comes to parting, your hair. So I thought I'd make this video just to make your life that much easier, you're going to be the wide tooth comb to detangle your hair, a rat tail comb or something with a pointed end to make sure that your parts are nice and neat hair bands. At Iowa any unwanted hair, if you have shorter hair, you may need some hair clips. Something along these lines will help water in a spray bottle to help with detangling your hair and some oil to lock in that moisture. One thing I forgot to mention is that we're going to need two mirrors, one mirror in front of us so that, obviously, when we're doing the parties, we can see what we're doing and we're also going to need a mirror behind. So I'm using this small handheld mirror, which I'll be putting behind me to see what the hair looking like and this mirror will be in front of me alright. So my hair has not been too tangled in so long. It'S really bad bath, but this may help show you how I did tangle my hair. So right now it's literally like I can't run my fingers through it. I haven't combed this out or done anything to it in a while. So it is in some serious need for the tangling, so I wanted to show you guys that you do not need to blow-dry your hair before you cornrow it. If you have super thick hair that maybe it will be really wise to like detangle it by in sections do that plats the day before you want a corner it just so your hair is nice and stretched out, and it just makes your part and that much Easier, so, in order to handle my hair, I'm going to use a spray bottle spray. My hair, oh and I'm going to go section by section just because it is like in some dire need right now using my wide tooth comb, I'm going to start at the ends and then work my way up to the roots. Okay, great a bit more. Using the oil is going to lock in this moisture, and I'm just going to do a quick twist in my hair just to keep it out of the way and stretch it's like I'm gon na do this throughout my whole head all right. So now my hair, it's all the tangled I'm going to take out these twists and it slightly damp. That'S fine, much better! Look at the transformation guys before I begin. I want to show you the technique I use when holding my rat tail comb. When part of my hair, I either used the end of the rat tail or the front teeth. So when I'm using the front teeth, I typically hold the Raptor eyes. If it's a pencil, so I'll put it to my scalp, not too hard, you don't want too much pressure. If you put it too hard, your line is not going to be straight. It'S going to be wonky just because the pressure doesn't allow for an easy glide, but if you're doing it light enough so that you can fill the comb on your scalp, but it can glide, nice and freely. And if I wanted to start doing curves, I could that's going to be the way you want to hold it. If you hold it too lightly, then you're gon na end up and not get any neat lines. Then, probably won't even touch your scalp and it's gon na look a mess, so the first part we're going to do is at least center parting. So what I use as a reference point is the middle of my eyebrows, so I'll go from where the mirror of my eyebrows are, you might think of it as at the middle of your nose, whichever one you're gon na provide the middle of the eyebrows holding The bottom of the comb, nice and firm, not too firm, not likely of stiff but enough so that you have control of this, but you can also pivot when needed. Certainly, you want to go from the center guide. Brows work, your way up and then pop the thing with partings is that you need to do them instead, so that one is a bit off. So here keep your cone straight when doing the parts and do the insertion. So that is my first line and my crispy scalp is showing so I'm going to do is so print the hair with my hands and then make the line straighter just to get it as neat as I can. So. What I do now is when I'm doing the front of my hair I'll use the wrap tail, but now that I'm working towards the back, the angle of my hand, is going to change. So I'm now going to use this part of the comb to then go backwards and you've got to do it nice and straight and take as many sections as you need. You can just keep going one like a couple of inches and stop a couple more inches and stop there pull it up separate the hair report to the sides go down separate the size. Let me turn around, so you see back on my hair, I'm going to feel for where the end of the parting is, and I'm digging this around here. Take my comb part. It pull it apart and again feel where the ending is put the comb epoxy, where it is pot and put a pot, feel where it is pot and put a pot and then get the hair band and tie it to one side. It seems pretty decent. If you wanted to, you could fix up these pots. Let'S say you wanted to divide your hair into four to do four different cornrows. What I personally would do is do my middle parting first, so the parting that we just did, obviously not everyone's hair line, is going to look like mine, but mine has a dip right here, so I would use that, as my reference point, some people say that You can use the off of your eyebrows away. It kind of goes upwards use that as a reference point, so you would get your rat tail comb and then go across here and make a line. So with that first line, you don't want to go straight back, because what will end up happening is that you will have too much hair at the back left own boss. So with the sides you want a bark motion, so it's a knock watch gon na place. My comb right at the end motion and then I should have a nice curve going on now. I would cornrow this section down within this section down and then do the same thing on the other side using this part of my hairline. As my reference point to then go down and curve, literally you're, going like this then curving around, because our head is round, you don't want to go straight back. You want to curb with it, apart from when you're working with the sense of your hair, that you can go straight back downward. So that's how I will do four corners. If I wants to do eight, I will then half that again half that again and then just keep dividing the more amounts wan na do when it comes to side partings. You want to use certain reference points I like to have a deep side parting, so that I said here. I would use that as my reference point, but instead of going straight back, I like to go a bit diagonals. I'Ve got my rap tile here and then just go up and then pull apart and there I have my parting now with this parting. I also use it for if I'm doing some bangs with some corners. I like to use this parting, so I then take the teeth of my comb. Put it down, use the hair bands to tie your hair out of the way so with the pot here, I'm going to use the tip of my coat to now make another part parallel to that, and now this becomes the hair that I'm going to cornrow it And I'll tie this up and then I would start my corner making sure that these flyaway hairs are nice and tucked away. Then I would cornrow down with this hair now, depending on how thick you want to. Obviously, your parts will be slightly thicker, so that's for the average size that I tend to do, but if I wanted my hair thicker, obviously I would then just go a bit bigger than that and do it parallel once again and then I would use that hair To do the corner, the main thing you want to look for when you're parting is that you don't have hairs blocking the pot. So if I was to just do a quick boy like that a loose one and now it's pretty decent, but you can see that there's some hair here that is now blocking my path by the way when I'm holding this hair. If I'm holding too tight, my comb cannot go underneath to make the vine, so it wants to be nice and loose and flexible so that the comb can go under, make the parting pull up, and this finger is now separating the hair, and that part is clear. One hair stuff that you'll seen you do quite a bit is my half-up half-down cornrows. So when I'm doing that, I use the tip of my ear as a reference point to then bring my comb up. Stop half away. Take it out, then go back put the comb back and then bring it back down to the opposite side. So let me show you what I mean by that. The easiest way to do this actually is to your hair is cold in the direction that you are parting just so that there is no resistance place. The comb at the tip of your ear, which is here for me, bring it up as far as you can, as you can see once I get to this point, there's too much hair my comb, so I can't go any further bring it up. Put your hand to part away any hair that you don't need in that section, and then we have our line now we're going to have to continue that line. So what I'm going to do is at some points it does end up curving towards the front of my head, which I don't want. So I'm going to go back here where I, like the part in put my comb there, bring it up towards the other side, pull up the comb, put my hands behind to pull the hair away, and then, let's see how this is. Okay, now we're up to the top we're going to put the club at the end and then just put it down at this side. Stop there, because my comb is full of hair pull it aside, make sure that it's nice and neat don't be cool. We'Ve got some madness going on here: go ahead down to the other side, as you can see here kind of bends. So I'm gon na put the comb over here and back down to the tip of my ear. I can work with that. If your hair is shorter than mine, then with each section you may want to just tie up the excess hair. So when I go here, if your hair is too short, you want to tie that bit up. Then you continue here. Tie that bit up. There gets me here tie that bit up. You may be having a head full of hair bands, but it doesn't matter as long as the hairstyle you achieve is achieved. Now, let's focus a bit more on the back of my hair, so say. If I wanted a hairstyle where the trait of my hair is up, but I have like a line here that goes down for that, I'm using a different Russell to point. So let me go and I'll show you. So you see this bone here. We have a bone that kind of pokes out on the back of our neck and was that bone cool? I'M not sure why it's almost like pathway for your e/m, so there's a bone here. What I do is I use this as a reference and then go across to the other bone on the other side, which is somewhere here here, place it there and then just drag it across in sections feeding where it ends turn my head as I go along Because that helps and to the other side, and then I will get the mirror to make sure that the potting is straight okay, you can see here there's a little bit of a bend, so you fix that and this side is decent. I would prefer it to be more straight rather than curved. I'M gon na go here. Try and use this one to see if it helps sometimes it's just a matter of playing and switching around the part of the comb that you use. Whichever feels more comfortable for you, I think that one is pretty cool, so then I would start calming down so now we're going to do the front braid. So this is the style that I tend to do when I just come up to do my hair, and that is when I warmer just good across there and I just tired the rest. Sometimes I like to do a quick middle part in just one. That'S nice and broad, then I can just go. Get my rat tail do a curve down this way, so it starts off fit and when it gets to here, you wan na make it a bit thinner. Then I would continue it down to the other side. Get my coat place it where I ended off and then just continue this down, curving it towards the end of my areas. Continue that down to the other side, then I will start my own right here: bring it round and then end right. Then let me just do a French braid just to show you what it would look like. Just like you tied up in here or clipped up in my he'll, be up here. That'S applying that I would use for that if you're doing corners straight back. I have got a whole video on this separately, but I'll quickly show you, but if you wanted to do your cornrows just going straight back all the way, what you want to do is start on the sides. Make sure that the one right at the end by your ear is curved inwards, so you curve it in, but when you do a curved parting, you ensure that by the time you get to the other side, you don't run out of hair at the nape. So you want to use as little hair the bottom as possible, just so that you don't run out, and then you keep going doing like that when you get to the middle, it should go straight back and then you want to keep going and curving. I should go to the opposite side. Like I said I have a whole other tutorial that will help a lot more than this. Just this quick, brief undigested. As always. Thank you guys for watching. If you have any questions, leave them down in the comment section down below, I tend to actually make videos based off of your questions, so I've seen people complaining about how hard they find part in their hair and hence why this video is now available for you. So let me know down below what kind of suggestions you have for any tutorials or things that you like to learn, and I will see you guys next time: peace, love and life.
