Hey babies, welcome back to my channel if you are new here, welcome now's a good time to go ahead and subscribe, and if you have already been a part of the gang, what's up sunflower game, so Julia's hair is actually a company. That was one of my favorite when I first got started on YouTube, so I was really excited when they reached out to me to review one of their kinky straight units and of course, as you guys can see, I'm actually reviewing a newer unit which is kinky Edges, I don't know if you guys have been seeing this kind of blow up all over YouTube, but it's a thing right. So obviously it's supposed to mimic African-American hair. This is a straighter kind of like Yaki texture, so it is going to more so mimic like and blow out and then, of course, the silk press you guys can see already. I knew that this was gon na, be a hit just based off of how the curls were so they took the legwork out of thinking about how you want your baby hairs to kind of be, and so of course, they've already kind of pre-cut that this is A 13x4 unit, so, of course you guys can kind of see the uh ear to ear lace and then, of course, there is an elastic band. This is an adjustable cap. So, of course, you'll have that flexibility as well, and then, of course, this is what the hair looks like. So I wanted to put this on a mannequin just so that I can really get a good look at number one. If I wanted to bleach the knots or not and if I also needed to do any extra plucking, so if you guys are new here and don't know, I have quite a few videos showing you how to completely bleach your units start to finish tweeze them all That good stuff to be ready to go now don't hesitate. Okay, Julia did already go ahead and lightly pre-bleach. These, I did notice just a little bit of tint, but I wanted to take it up a notch. So if you are somebody like me that wants it to look even more natural, you guys can see just how natural this hair looks. So I don't know if you guys remember what your hair probably looked like straight out of like a perm or a relaxer, then yeah. It was definitely given that exact same Vibe, which I knew that it was going to straighten like a dream. I did want to go ahead and just kind of blend the front of the hairline on just a little bit, because I did notice that some of the baby hair well not some all of the baby hair, which of course, tweezed out and just kind of nicely. Blended pre-plucked, so I wanted to make sure that everything else behind the hairline definitely kind of matched up and, like I said, if you need a more detailed tutorial, I have quite a few on my channel. So when you get a minute just take a look. So taking my tweezers, I got pretty much as much hair as I wanted to get out. I tried my best to kind of blow it out, of course, uh with a blow dryer, which you guys will see just in a minute, because I wanted to kind of keep the texture in its natural state. So when I say Natural State, obviously it's going to be dry, but I didn't want this to be overly silk pressed. I did go ahead and add just a little bit of shape to the hair. You guys will see. I could put some not layers in it, but just kind of shape, the bottom of it and y'all look at how fresh my braids is looking okay, I also have a tutorial to show you how to cornrow your hair so start to finish. We have everything you need, I'm just taking my fhi flat iron. This is not a is a blow dryer anyway, I'm taking my EAP heat blow, dryer, actually to go through all the hair, and you guys can see just how easy it was to get this hair straight. I have not even gone through it with the flat iron hot comb. Nothing at this point and you guys know typically with kinky straight hair, sometimes you'll kind of get those weird waves that you were just unable to get out of the hair. I did not have that problem. You guys can see just how everything is Blended. The knots bleached perfectly the fact that the hair was already kind of pre-cut with the baby hair, definitely helped that blend and then just the fact that the edges were not super silky and match the texture of the hair. It definitely gave more of a natural feel. So I'm going to show you how to quickly recurl the actual edges, just in case you're, one of those people that wanted to kind of keep that natural look right. But I always recommend washing your units and conditioning them. If, even if you don't do like that, full bleaching and plucking process still make sure that you're washing them, because you want to definitely get a true feel of what the hair is going to do for you, and so here's a quick look as you guys can See I think that everything kind of laid - naturally you guys know I just literally use a 1 4 inch flat iron to kind of curl everything up and then I'm giving you a quick look at what my hair looks like. So, of course, I have a few cornrows and I'm literally just going to go ahead and flip the bottom of my braids going upward uh, and so of course, I just use like a bobby pin nothing too too. Fancy No Cap needed. You already know, and if you have a big forehead like me, you literally never need a cap use that forehead space to do the job. Okay, just make sure your braids are neat and then, of course, I'm going to be showing you this new little trick that I found I'll be sure to credit the exact Creator down below. I cannot think of her name off the top of my head, but I've been subscribed to her for quite some time now and I actually saw that she installed her unit using a sponge, which I thought that was very interesting. So you guys will see just how I do that today, um and all that I'm doing now is just flipping back the actual wig and then, of course, I have like a beauty blender. So well, actually, it's a real techniques sponge, but I did go ahead and take one of my favorite products, which is the Broner brother, uh professional, it's kind of similar to the pump it up. It'S a little bit stronger. So I use that holding spray just to really tack on my wigs. Obviously, if you have the got ta be glue spray, you can use that if you want to use glue, you can. But the premise of this is to show you that you are literally able to install your unit. It'S not really more so the sponge, that's making this happen. It'S just that you don't have as much of a mess as you would when you typically would go to just kind of spray, your hair or spray, your hairline before applying the wig. So this is a great idea and again I will be sure to mention the Creator down in my description box so definitely be sure to check out her videos as well. I'M so sorry, I can't remember it at the top of my head right now, but nevertheless you guys can see. I am just literally trimming off all of the lace and the lace color to me was a great match and y'all know. I'M light brown light skin. Okay, if, for any reason you need to tint this, I would just recommend using a little bit of foundation to do so. You guys see just how easy it Blended in and then like. I would typically do in any other styles. If I was going to tie this down with like an elastic band, I definitely would do that typically, but I purposely did not do this just because y'all that pump it up baby, it dries so fast, okay, so all that I did was took uh the sponge And just kind of lightly touched up around the hairline, and then this is a quick look at what the hair looks like. So the density on this is 150 percent, which to me, was beyond full Amy Fuller than this. I don't even know how I would have styled this. When I tell you beautiful, I wish my real hair was as thick and full as this hair. You guys can also see that it has like that kind of reddish brown tint, which is kind of funny. To me, because, typically whenever I get like extensioned it's more of a darker brown than it is a red Brown and y'all know it is typical. I don't want to say it's typical, but my hair personally is typically a lighter brown. More of that reddish shade as well, so I thought that was interesting. They did a really good job, just color matching uh to kind of mimic our hair right, um, and so of course, you guys can see around the hairline just how all the baby hairs are kind of laying nice and seamless. I didn't have to do too much and y'all know the style is never complete. Okay, I want to make sure that I kind of hit this with the hot comb, but I just really really was so impressed at just how the lace melted in seamlessly how the hair literally looked like it was growing out of my scalp. Now I can see a little area on the side where I probably needed to trim off just a little bit more lace, but this is with no layering, literally, all that I did was kind of shape. The hair - you guys, saw it for yourself, okay, straight out of the box and then, of course, hitting it with my hot comb, I'm just gon na go over the top. I didn't like split this down. Y'All know sometimes I'll get real nitty-gritty with it. Okay and literally go piece by piece this time I just did the top UPS, because I wanted to keep the hair super full looking voluminous, I did not want this to be a silky bone straight. Look. I wanted this to be exactly what the company intended, which was a kinky straight blowout look, so I love that and then you guys can see. The hair is super flat. As long as your braids are flat, you won't have an issue with the actual wig. Just definitely make sure that those braids are flat. I don't know how many times you got to say: okay, you cannot get away with two to three braids and it's just not gon na work. Okay and well, unless your hair is like super short - I guess I don't know, but anyway I was loving what it was looking like and then, of course, I'm actually gon na go now and take my EAP heat flat iron just to kind of soak over a Few of the pieces at the top - so I didn't do this all over. I literally just did this in the two sections that you guys are seeing on the left and the right side, just to kind of show you what it would look like if it was silk style and then also just to kind of make that top layer look Like it was completely still pressed all over to maintain the thickness and the fullness, I did not want to cut down the bulk, but just based off of how everything looked y'all. I want to install this unit again and maybe even do like a half up half down just simply because I don't know if you guys have been following me for a while, but I had this kinky straight half up half down wig from Julia hair so long Ago that I literally still have to this day just how nicely this curls this would definitely be an upgrade. The length that I have is 24 inches, but 24 was a little bit longer than I'm used to, and I was happy to have it look at the body, okay body yada yada, so I lightly did that on the other side, nothing too, too crazy. Just nice! Soft large curls and I of course took some time to kind of play in the hair because it would not be complete unless I did that, but now that I'm pretty much satisfied with everything I would definitely like to hear from you. Is this a unit that you guys would be interested in purchasing and if not, I would love to know why this is pretty much a look. I hope you guys enjoyed this. For me, it is definitely about a 10 out of 10 and I'm only saying that, because so far for this to be so much hair, it curls like a dream. I did not have any issues with tingling shedding anything like that and you guys can see the lace melted right in and I'm literally able to take this off okay at night time and put it right back on and I would use the same method to reinstall. It so I love you guys so much stay pretty. Let me know what you guys think down below and I will see you in my next video bye babies, foreign
