Welcome to my Channel!

Stevie by Wigshop and sold by Paula Young has gorgeous curls:

Her measurements are: front-6.5-7.5 in, crown- 6.5-7.5 in, nape- 3.5-4.5 in.

It's so easy!! Adding rooting to your wigs makes them look more natural by giving the illusion of natural hair regrowth. It can also help disguise wefting and permatease in wigs where the hair is parted.

If you are experiencing hair loss, please know that you are not alone! Many people have hair loss whether it is from medications, chemo, genetics or certain medical conditions. I personally have 2 autoimmune conditions and a family history of hair thinning in my mom and grandmother. I have spent a lot of time and money trying to get my hair back. I have come to realize my hair is not coming back anytime soon:( I wish I had discovered wigs MUCH sooner, I am having so much fun! I can wear whatever hair I feel like wearing that day. Please join me on my journey!

Foreign, this is BayCare mama thanks for joining me today. I'Ve been away for a little while had to take some time off, I'm fine, just uh, crazy, crazy holiday time and other things going on, but start of a new year, and I have a new week for you today. I have Stevie by wig shop and she was 29.99, so another budget friendly wig, a viewer had pointed her out to me, and I thought she looked pretty interesting. She has similar curls to Rebel here, who's also made by wig shop. So I got her in 1488. A and I haven't tried her on, I did open the box just to make sure the color was fine and there is some. There was some netting around her, so she's a little bit shorter than Rebel, but you can see that she still has some of those gorgeous curls those spiral curls and she does have that crisscross part, and if you really make an effort to pull back the hair, You will see the wefting, but we're going to be putting some rooting in her and you won't be able to tell if there's any West, showing at all so first we're going to get rid of that crisscross part. Oh yeah. She doesn't even look bad at all on the top here. She'S very lightweight, and we have some open. Wefting got a couple ventilated areas in the front here that will help with uh staying cool and also a lot of open wefting in the back. And then you have the rose lace fabric here on top have a nice wide soft velvet front here, which is a nice feature for especially for this price point. There is a hole for your eyeglasses if you prefer that and another wide nape here with some velvet on it and the velcro adjusters, which is another great feature. So let's cut this tag off, so we don't have that in our way. Okay, gon na give her a couple good shakes loosen up those curls. So now you can see those curls coming alive. Let'S try her on yep. She is shorter, very lightweight. She does have less volume than Rebel as far as you know, the womb Factor, but this is very cute style, nice layers of curls a little bit tapered in the back here. So I think she definitely needs some rooting to make her look even more natural. But I am loving this style different length for me, I usually like more of a shoulder length, but this would definitely be a great wig for the summer lightweight and cool and the bangs. You have some good coverage here in the front, so there's no need for a lace front may need to just trim a little bit something one of them seems to be in my eyes here all right, I'm gon na get set up for the rooting, and that May be something that you've seen before, but we have a lot of new viewers here and um, so I'm gon na show them how to do the rooting on Stevie. If you just want to see the end product, then scoot ahead to the end of the video. So we have our wig stand set up here. This is a canvas cork, wig head that I purchased from Amazon. It was under 23 dollars, so I thought that was a pretty good price and I just have um the wig hit on my clamp, stand down here and I'll leave a link for that as well. So I'm going to be using some spray on rooting and I don't want that to damage my new wig head here. So I'm going to just put a plastic bag over a weekend before I put Stevie on, does make it a little more slippery. But I don't want her to become all brown. Okay - and you can add, you can secure Stevie on the wig head with some t-pins and I usually um pin them on the ear tab. That way, it's not going to be in my way, because I'm doing most of the rooting on the top here and like halfway down okay. So now we have Stevie all secure, so it took color The Roots. I am using the magic root cover by L'Oreal and today I'm using medium brown. If you prefer a darker root or a lighter root, they have a whole range of colors that you can purchase. I will leave a link down below um. You can purchase it on Amazon or you can find it uh. You know at Walmart or CVS wherever they sell hair dye, and I'm also going to be using my pigtail comb here to help lift some of the fibers and add the layering to it. So the first thing we're going to do is just do a straight line where our part is so. This can is almost empty, but I have another one ready to go. Okay, my wig stand is a little unruly here. I think I may be purchasing a more stationary one. This is fine if you you're doing different angles, so I am just separating sections with my pigtail, probably like one and a half to two inches and I'm going to be spraying an inch on the top of the hair, where I've parted and on the bottom, where I'Ve parted. So if you're going to be styling this wig and pulling it back, then you're going to see the rooting in those other areas which will make it look more natural, okay, so we're about halfway down there, we're going to do the same thing in the back foreign. So Rebel and Stevie don't come with rooting um, but that doesn't scare me off because I know I can always add rooting to those wig styles that don't come with the rooting already. So you can see the dimension that we're creating already on that side and we're going to finish up at the opposite side. Sorry, if you hear some noise in the background, my husband is installing our new washer and dryer. It'S been a struggle finding time to tape without any noise around here, but things also need to get done and the laundry is piling up. So we need that installed foreign and then sometimes on the front here. If you have a wig, that's going to be maybe pulled away from the face, then you're going to want to add a little of the rooting on the underside here. So I'm just adding a little more here area that I missed, and just so you know that this is pretty much a permanent change in your wig, some of it may wash out after two or three Washings, but um it'll never completely wash out. So this is a permanent change, so just so you know that uh, you know if you think it's gon na wash completely out it's it. It'S most likely won't unless you're using, I don't know, really strong soap which may damage your wig. So we're going to let Stevie dry and then I'll try her on for you, so you can see the end product there. We go. Oh still getting used to this shorter length, I'm so used to wearing Rebel. I'Ve been wearing Rebel pretty much every day, but look at the difference. What the transformation in this wig you can't see any wefting at all with the rooting there and you can see here on the sides if you were to pull it back. You know with a bar red or something you would still see the rooting there and definitely looks more natural in my opinion, anyway, some people, just like the one color look, but what an adorable wig I really like. I think this is going to be awesome for summer and um definitely cool. There is not much permatease at all in this wig, and you know you could definitely pull it back. If you wanted to put a little headband a couple barrettes here on the side, you could fluff her up more or just kind of taper her down here and you could probably Tucker behind an ear that would give you a different look behind both ears cute. I love that, but what do you guys think of Stevie he's gon na need a little trim on the bangs for me I'll leave her Dimensions down below. Let me know if you have any questions on how I did the rooting or anything else. Thank you. So much for joining me today, thank you for being here. It means so much to me, and I hope that I'm helping you guys along your wig Journey, we're all here to help each other. So if you have other suggestions, what you might do with Stevie put them down below in the comments section thanks for joining me today and we'll see you the next time bye. Thank you.
