Foreign hello, so in my last video I explained why I stopped making the kind of hair content that I used to, but that doesn't mean that I've stopped making hair videos all together. So today I am bringing you a long awaited hair update just like good, old-fashioned old school Isabella back in 2014 used to do so. I'M going to be going over how my hair has changed since making those viral videos about my hair struggles. What products I am using now, what my hair care routine looks like now, some bad things that have happened to my hair recently, how I'm styling it to feel better about it and how much it grew within one month. Let'S begin with how my hair has changed for the most part, I've been a lot more happy with my hair, obviously than I used to I've been a lot more Carefree with my hair in the past year or two and I've actually been enjoying my hair. A lot more, it's still pretty dry. For the most part, I have accepted that I have a dry hair type, but in general it tends to look a lot better these days and it doesn't get as frizzy as it used to during that period, where I was struggling so much with with frizz to This day I still don't know what was going on with my hair. It doesn't get as bad as it did back. Then. I have obviously changed my hairstyle a couple of months back. I cut it different, I'm going to talk about that in a minute. I do allow myself to use heat on my hair now I obviously no longer practice the curly girl method, although I do still have some curly girl products and some hair gel that I will probably use more around the summer time because it's actually easier to do The curly girl method for me in the summer, because obviously you're letting your hair air dry a lot and in the winter, that's just not something I want to be doing, and I haven't dyed it in about four months now, maybe longer it does still have a Lot more of a warmer tinge to it. So let's move on to a few products, so I have just finished using the OGX apple, cider, vinegar, shampoo and conditioner. I was so intrigued by this when I started, seeing like apple cider, vinegar products. I love an apple cider vinegarance. I made a whole video about it up here, but I haven't really been able to do it as much since dyeing my hair red because I do feel like it does strip your color a little bit. So I thought I'd give this a go. I didn't think this was crazy good. I didn't notice any amazing effects from it, although there is a navino one, which was a bit more expensive, which might have been a bit better. But I can't say that I noticed any miraculous differences, though I have just moved on to a new set of shampoo and conditioner, I'm now using the shea moisture, restorative conditioner and extra moisture retention. This is the sea kelp and argan oil for damaged transitioning hair. I used to have the hydrate and repair Manuka honey and yogurt one, and I really loved that one. It was very moisturizing and I found the shampoo to be really like not drying at all. They had so many I didn't know which one to choose. They just all sounded so good, but I went for this one because, as I have dry hair, I'm usually looking for like hydration and like moisture attention kind of products. I'Ve only used it once so far, but I really liked the results it made. My hair really soft. The shampoo felt so moisturizing just putting it in my hair and then the conditioner was very strange. It was just a very strange texture kind of like a cream. I didn't have a lot of slip to it when you're putting in your hair, it didn't feel like a conditioner, but whatever it did, it made my hair super soft, so I would highly recommend I'm going to leave links in the description or somewhere on the screen. I think they're allowing YouTubers to do that now, to like add products in their video, so other products, I've still been using the glaze on and off. This video is not sponsored by glaze. I did a video sponsored by them a little while ago, and they gave me this for free. I actually really liked it um. I will say that if you, if your roots are quite a stark difference to like the red color that you dyed it, it won't cover your roots. I used it on Halloween and it did give me like a nice boost of the red color. Again, it's not going to make your roots look as red as the rest of your hair, but it's so good for like a revamp, if you're a natural ginger and you you don't - have a problem with roots. This will make your hair look bang and it will just make it pop. I am kind of a natural redhead, but it's a lot of a darker kind of dirty blonde red um. So I did obviously dye it more red just to complement my my coloring, my skin tone, my eyes and such I've used it two or three times now, and I still have a little bit left, probably enough to do one more use. Okay, so something really bad! That'S been happening with my hair lately. Is I've been losing hair like crazy, and this isn't just like? I know that people tend to lose a lot of hair in the shower and then when you brush your hair and sometimes it is alarming. But I know what is the normal amount of hair to lose and I've been losing a lot, especially in the shower. When I brush my hair, I feel like my hair feels thinner. I don't know if that's just a placebo, I don't know it's making me a little bit worried. I don't know if it's just I'm going through that hair growth phase, where, like you, lose a lot of hair. I don't know if it's stress just the way the world is at the moment like everything's just a bit, let's be real, so maybe it's like internal worries and stress um, but I've been losing hair like crazy, and I thought maybe it could be my nutrition because Since moving to Brighton, my rent is so high, my bills are so high, like lifestyle is just a lot more expensive. My budget is so tight for my food shop that I'm not actually buying like a good variety of different kinds of healthy foods. That, maybe I was eating before um, so I'm starting to think. Maybe I'm not getting enough vitamins and minerals, as I used to I don't know, I need to start buying more fruits and vegetables. I think, because I've just been buying I've just been buying like quantity. Over quality, so I thought I would invest in some supplements, so I got myself some cod, liver oil and some multi vitamins with iron vitamins are expensive, so I actually got these on the Black Friday sale and I managed to get just over a Year's worth of These I have more as well, and some like healthy bacteria supplements as well, for like 30, something pounds down from like 60, which is really good. Obviously, these are not a food replacement. You should obviously eat nutritiously as well, but I thought it could probably help. I put them in my cute little pill box every day. Hopefully, that might help, maybe with some of my hair, shedding if it carries on I'll, probably try and look into some kind of like ointment or something that I can put on my scalp hair massages to try and help with a bit of growth. I just I hate doing like hot oil massages on my hair. It'S just such a faff, it's so gross and messy and like I just always put off like oiling my hair, because it's just a hole. It'S just a whole mess, but I really should be doing that. Okay. So as for straightening, my hair, I have these kind of like old straighteners. My friend Dana actually gave these to me so shout out to Dana. They are very old, they're, obviously not the best, and I found that my hair would often kind of get stuck in them. It didn't go through my hair very smoothly, like my hair, would kind of like snag and stuff. Sometimes, halfway through the day like my hair, would start to frizz up and the bottom would kind of look gross like it wouldn't really stay straight until I used this kills straightening cream. This is also a heat protectant as well, and I don't know how it does it, but it just makes your hair so sleek and smooth and shiny, and it makes your hair just glide through the straighteners. I thought I was going to have to buy a new pair of straighteners, but since I've started using this, I feel like I don't need to buy a new pair of straighteners now, like they do the job. With this, it's quite pricey. I think it's like over 20 quid but I'll put a link somewhere and you get so much in there like look how big this tube is. You don't need to use a lot of this either and so moving on to hairstyle. So, obviously, a couple months ago I made a video where I tried to cut my hair myself. I wanted to cut layers into my hair. I'Ve had an obsession with Pamela Anderson over the past couple of years, especially in her Baywatch era, and she had like this beautiful, like Shaggy messy tussled hair. That was all in kind of messy layers, and I just wanted that kind of hair. I did it myself. The video is up here if you want to see it and it actually turned out out pretty nicely. I'Ve had loads of compliments, since I did it, especially when my hair is straightened, it looks really nice. Obviously I lost a lot of thickness since doing that, but that's just something that happens when you get layers, I'm also trying to try like different partings, because I've had a middle parting for so long that I feel, like my hair's just been a bit flat lately And my style of choice recently has been to straighten it but um. Obviously this is something that I'm very careful with, and I only do like once every week or every two weeks or sometimes just once a month most of the time. I don't do anything to my hair at all, because I spend a lot of time at home. I'M often just like in baggy clothes, no makeup, my hair, all dirty and not done, and just all put up in a bun and it's starting to like make me feel just not great. I'M trying to just Spruce myself up and Glam myself up a bit more straightening. My hair can just make me feel so much more put together and just so much better. I don't just use this as a heat protectant. I also use my Tresemme thermal heat protectant, which is specifically for using heat tools, and I use that if I'm blow drying my hair as well color, so I used to get my hair dyed red every couple of months. It was kind of quite hard to maintain, like you kind of, had to get it re-dyed every month in order to maintain that color, because it was so vibrant. This obviously did help, but after my roots got to a certain length, it doesn't quite do the same job. I'Ve kind of just been letting my hair grow out. There was a point in time where I really really wanted blonde highlights with like red hair. Underneath I made a video where I got like these little blonde highlights at the front. I really loved it and I wanted to do my whole head, but I realized that that would take so much upkeep to maintain that look. I just decided not to make the commitment, because going to the hairdressers to get highlights and color and a card like it's expensive and having to do that every month, just to maintain it. It'S just not something that I should be prioritizing at the moment trying to be very sensible. Basically so yeah I've been cutting my own hair and not dyeing it and I'm kind of just letting it be. You can see my roots are really long now, but I feel like it Blends kind of okay, so I just try not to let it bother me to be honest and I'm just sort of growing it out, but who knows maybe I'll diet soon? What does my hair routine look like now, so my hair routine is really very simple. I just obviously shampoo and condition it every three to four days. I was going for a phase where I was washing it like every week just to see how long I could go. But I went back to washing it every three to four days because I do tend to use a lot of products like heat protectants and, like leave-in conditioners, split end repairers frizz serums. So I do use a lot of things on my hair. So I can't really go a week without washing it, but I can stretch it to three or four days, washing with a good quality, shampoo and conditioner. That'S where I do allow myself to spend my money is on my shampoo and conditioner and make sure that it's good quality, that's the treaty, my hair routine, is so simple and then once a week or every two weeks or if I'm going out for a nice Weekend or if we're going out somewhere nice, I will straighten my hair or, if I just want to feel better about myself off I'll straighten it. I feel like a lot of people can be like. Don'T straighten your hair, but I'm doing what I want with my hair. Now I haven't been blow drying it straight recently. I haven't done that in ages, just because I got really bored of it and it just takes so long. Every now and then I have been using an apple, cider, vinegar, hair rinse, especially when I just wanted to really clarify my scalp so I'll like concentrate it on my scalp and really get in there with a deep massage that can help with any kind of build Up and stuff, so I was doing that like once a month once every couple of months. Obviously my hair's faded enough now that I don't mind if it washes out some of the colors, I still put it up when I go to bed. I still use my satin pillowcases. My hair routine hasn't really changed from since the video that I made it's just probably a bit more simple, now yeah I'll put that up there, oh God it was so bad as well. I accidentally got super glue in my hair, so I was trying to fix something with this cheap little tiny tube of super glue, and I was squeezing it and it wasn't coming out and all of a sudden it will just sprayed like here and a lot of It like sprayed in my hair - and I immediately knew like I am not going to be able to wash this out super glue dries like straight away like I didn't want to smear it into my hair. I just didn't know what to do so. I just tried to dab it out, but I had super glue like all up in my hair. I ended up like using some oils and like some deep conditioner spray to like try and loosen it up, and I did manage to free a lot of my hair. It took so long but yeah. I did end up having to cut out a lot of my hair as well, because it just was not coming out yeah. What are the chances that I'd spray super glue in my hair, so yeah? That was not good, but we got through it. Finally, my hair goals now and how much this grew grew. So my hair goals now is literally just to get some growth, not so much like length, but I need growth like on my scalp, because I just feel like I've lost so much hair. So if anyone has some good tips, leave them below. I did try using this thing, but uh this Lee Stafford, one is pretty like it's pink, it's cute, but it's so firm. It just feels, like I'm rubbing hard plastic on my hair, like these things. Everyone goes out on about them, but this one in particular, is so stiff, like it just doesn't even feel good on my hair, like it doesn't massage my hair, it kind of just hurts my head, so I don't know what Lee Stafford was thinking by making such A firm head massager, but this does not feel good at all, so I might try and look into getting like a softer bristled one, because this just like look, it doesn't even move this just frustrates me and how much did my hair grow so at the beginning Of December I measured my hair. I like cut it straight across the back, and I measured it, and I found that it grew um about us just over a centimeter I'll put the measurements on the screen now. Okay, so I accidentally deleted the footage from my first measurement, but I did Mark it with a little dot. You can just about see where my hair used to measure, and there is just about over one centimeter of growth in one month from the front from the back. My hair is not completely straight, but just ignore that. But I got my flatmate to measure and he said it was just over a centimeter from the back as well in growth. So that's just about half an inch, which is the average amount of growth that you're meant to see in a month anyway. So that's how much my hair grew in a month, I'm gon na cut it back to where it was and see. If I get any different kind of growth since using these vitamins and just see what my results are next month, so that's kind of it. For my hair update, if you want to see like a more of these monthly hair updates, where I just sit down and talk about what products I've been using, what's been working, what hasn't, how much my hair's grown stuff like that, please let me know, I'm not Sure, if I will continue these or if I should, but if enough people are interested in what's happening in my hair each month like the video, so that I know I would be happy to do that. If enough of you want to see that remember, you can join my patreon. If you want to see more from me, I also have my Instagram and until next time I will see you in the next one bye foreign

Alice Paver: Hair loss could be due to you having had covid in the last year. I noticed my hair fall was much higher a few months after covid, and the regrowth was crazy! I had so many short hairs really noticeable around my face and when I put my hair up! So just to say if it is that, it’ll come back quickly xx

Marinowy: Thanks so much for giving us another update, it's always interesting to follow your hair journey. I've always struggled with thinner and fragile hair because of my autoimmune disease (and a lack of nutrients which comes with that) but I recently started taking barley grass power with orange juice and see so much baby hair on my forehead where I've never seen it before. It's so crazy because I tried a lot already (scalp treatments, oiling, iron, biotin, etc.). If you don't wanna take several pills a day maybe try using barley grass powder because it contains many nutrients in one supplement. Also not sure if it's the powder or the orange juice which is causing my baby hair to grow lol But everything works differently for everyone, just a suggestion if you're looking for more tips. I hope you don't stress too much and have a happy end of the year time

cat: I feel your pain. I was losing a lot of hair too for like a year after I dyed my hair. I started using the rosemary hair oil from Yari on my scalp and I feel like it really is making a difference, i’m growing baby hairs and my hair feels stronger and doesn’t fall off as much!! It s awesome

betti kiss: Hi, Isabella! For hair grows rosemary oil works REALLY effectively, it gave me the length I've always wanted! ❤️

Fidddle2Pie: yea an occasional update would be great doesnt have to be monthly unless you’re feeling it

sweetilena: i lost almost half of my hair due to battling anorexia & being malnourished. luckily she's no longer shedding in clumps, but i feel you! it's really difficult seeing a lot of hair coming out :/ guessing my situation is pretty different, but focusing on oil massages (i <3 jojoba oil), eating a lot more & taking vitamins (d, iron, b12 & calsium (last 2 nainly because i'm vegan)) have seemed to help & i've never lost this little hair! :) also, i love the hair videos & am definitely interested in seeing more. however, i don't wish for you to obsess over your hair for the sake of content (it's beautiful, btw!!) personally i don't believe it's healthy to hyperfocus on any part of one's body, but you know yourself best!

remainingembers: I've been recovering from excess shedding for quite awhile and I noticed a lot more fullness and growth coming back when I started eating eggs daily, like 2-3 every other day. And I feel it's fuller too after showers, because it's clean, but also because I think the massaging stimulates it. That's all the tips I think I have lol.

DreamBrush: with the hair loss thing, it could be that you are losing more hairs than usual during the transition to winter period, i noticed this with myself when my body generally just goes crazy when the weather drastically changes from hot to cold, which adds stress and hair as well is affected, hence my hair loss. Good news is that it's just periodically and you should be back to normal soon so hopefully that's what you're also experiencing :)

Funky Oreos: Yess continue with these! from an outside perspective your hair is looking so much better each time, I think just having fun with your hair seems to be working and in due time while you research and look into more products you'll get the ones that are even more perfect for your hair

Kaylee: It's so good to see you update! I've been following you since you started your channel and I just wanted to say I love seeing your updates and your overall content ☺

Vickyy Vicky: Hey Isabella! I was losing a lot of hair during summer time due to the fact that I got off the pill and got implant instead, my hormones were out of balance hence hair loss. I invested in Nourkrin hair vitamins which are pretty pricey but worked for me and I got a hair cut, eating more veggies also helped xx

Inês Batista: hello. from someone that also has frizz problems, i figured out i’d put conditioner as close to the root as possible and to air dry after, i try to take out the majority of the water with a normal towel and then use a mousse (green one from garnier) with denman brush and shake my head a lot in the end. that’s been doing it for me. the excess of water makes more frizz

Sue Wolmarans: My 2 sisters and some of my friends (and me) have been experiencing extreme hair loss as well... We are in SA and eat very different from each other. We have all had covid so we thought it was that. But it like literally coming out in clumps.

shores of freedom: you can use The Ordinary's multi-peptide hair growth serum. It's not messy like scalp oils and you can use it everyday since it's water-based. It literally contains all patented actives that are out there for hair growth, combined together. You can massage your scalp while applying it with your fingers, it helps a lot, especially if you're upside down (the blood flow to the scalp is a massive help as well). The brush is not necessary at all, I hate them as well. Fingers are better =)

Emma Watson: Girl ditch the OGX asap!! Those products made me experience extreme hair shedding for the year that I used them, and it took me soo long to figure out that it was the cause! They actually have lawsuits active against them for this very problem so definitely avoid❌

Emily R.: I love seeing your hair updates. Please keep them coming. :)

Broomstick Betty: A good tip for hair that I do everyday that's done wonders for my hair, skin and nails would be to take 1 teaspoon of Chia or flax seed everyday. A good healthy fat is always good for your hair and skin. I noticed I was losing alot too. And people kept saying it was normal but not for me. It feels like I can pull long tufts out.

Monique Du Plessis: I would love to see more of these videos ❤

ribbit: I lost lots and lots of hair because of a hormonal imbalance and stress, so first I took care of that with herbs, food, supplements, etc. And for my actual hair: rosemary water and rosemary oil + scalp massages. It worked wonders! I really recommend it for patient and persisten people (and I know you are!)

mllefren3y: I had the same problem with frizz for a couple of years and found the problem was build up due to sulfate free / mild surfactants shampoos on top of conditioners...The more I conditioned and oiled my hair, the worse it looked. I was desperate. One day a new colleague arrived at my office. Her hair was so shiny I had to ask what she was doing to it. She said she only used a hydrating or nourishing shampoo on her hair and a conditionner or a mask once a week or every two weeks. What I did was cleansing with a clarifying shampoo 5 times in a row to reset my hair and adapted her advise to my hair: today I use a purifying shampoo with SLS and no silicones / quats to really cleanse my hair, followed by a second nourishing shampoo with silicones to control frizz. It works and now I don't have a bad hair day anymore. I also add a couple of drops of oil after blowing drying it. That's it. Hope this helps someone xx

YourMoroccanFriend: have been losing an insane amount of hair too so much that it worried me. I got some blood work done and found out I have a vitamin D deficiency, so I've been implementing some vitamin D3 supplements into my diet and hopefully, that will make a difference. I also have been using the peppermint and rosemary oil from Mielle, it's fairly light so it doesn't feel super greasy on the scalp.

Katakuna: Try adding 5 drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo in the shower and massage it into your scalp with the shampoo! It's a bit of a slow process, but it does help with thinning hair without going out of your way and doing a hot oil massage (I don't like them either, so this is my alternative). Also, try making a rosemary and mint spray that you can spray into your hair every so often, also helps with thinning!

Brittany Ellis: I did struggle with hairloss in summer because of stress and horrible schedule because of working night shifts. It's obviously better to get a professional consultation, but sharing my experience, taking iron supplements did help. I also took vitamin D (but I live in a region with very little sunny days and was likely to have deficiency). I didn't change anything about washing and conditioning routine. I also am not a huge fan of oiling (a lot of people have very positive experience but I struggle with greasy hair and oil is difficult to wash out and didn't give me any results). Didn't really do any scalp massages either, but everything came back to normal in several weeks after taking supplements and normalizing sleeping schedule and avoiding stress.

Jackie: Not sure when you started losing hair but all OGX products I’ve tried make me lose hair. I only made the link when I read their reviews and A LOT of reviews mentioned hair loss.

Maya Dams: Hi isa! I have had frizzy, dry hair for years, and due to genetics, it is extremely hard to manage. My mum has frizzy hair as well, and seems to have passed it down to me :/ however, a product I found that has really helped is the ‘techni art liss control gel cream’ by L’Oréal paris professional! It is the best for controlling frizz, and overall de-puffing hair! I would definitely recommend this to anyone reading this suffering with that problem!

Inimu: Look at the formula from Anabelle Hooper! So pretty red and salon quality. I order Schwarzkopf Igora online as well. Best hair dye I've ever used and cheap If you do it yourself! :) Really great lasting professional quality. If you ever change your mind about dyeing again.

Line Degl: always loved your hair videos, although i actually feel like ive grown into your other content a lot as well, but after your last video regarding not making hair videos as much anymore, i honestly feel like i also respect the hustle of these videos a lot more. rent is rent, and it needs to be paid. i feel sad that you have to make these out of nessecity, and i hope your other content takes of as crazy as the hair videos have as well, but until then, you can count on my views lol. barbies, hobbies, vlogs and all, it's all really entertaining to watch. hustle is hustle, and that deserves its due respect. i guess im just trying to say; the effort of making your content is not going unnoticed, nor unappreciated! :)

Carrie Cat: More monthly hair updates please!

Thalia: Try to be slow with products for growth because you can do the opposite if you try so many things. Try putting a little oil on your scalp, that you like, at least 2 hours before you wash it, I think that will help you a lot. I do that with my growth serum and it has coffeine in it, that actually stops your hormones that make your hair fall out even for people that has this problem whole life. I'm so happy with this serum it helped me a lot, it's not expensive either, but it's serbian product so I don't know if it will help you to look into it. It's called "PROMEDIC STILL hair lotion for against hair falling out" (serbian translation: "Intenzivan tretman protiv opadanja, Kofein i žalfija") Interesting thing that happened to me is that I saw a change immediately after using it, it was like a miracle. This was only thing that helped me really with hair falling out. I hope I helped you try to find maybe products that has similar effects like this lotion, and I hope that you will find a solution that will help you. P.S. Fun fact: Hair tends to fall out more in the winter then in the summer or other seasons. So if this happeneds to you, this really is a natural thing, don't worry, nature has her way of dealing with things that we don't understand.

Carmen O: I love your videos about your hair, although I do like your other content as well. I also know that there are people who have had issues with their hair after having the dreaded rona. Not everyone who gets it has issues, but I've heard it's a thing.

daisymoira11: would love to see your hair growth I'm on the same journey

Frig: I have been dealing with bad hair shedding myself but I'm fairly certain it's due to stress. I lost around 20lbs cuz I was struggling to eat. Food and nourishing your body is the best thing you can do. Topical creams, oils, stimulating hair growth via massage, etc won't help if it's an inner issue. Stress and malnutrition will do that to ya but it could also just be a shedding faze for you. As we grow we will experience a lot of different changes to our bodies! It could be something like that like you're getting older so your body is changing and you're going through a phase. I've heard that adult women have "a second puberty." Which is literally just you're hips widening, weight gain etc. Truthfully we never stop changing. Okay I am getting too philanthropic I need to sleep.

Yaël Zoutendijk: Your make-up is so pretty and your top is so cute!

Michelle Kalantchouk: Hair loss can also happen after Corona :) it will start 2-3 months after an infection tho

Quelkei: Hi ! Im losing hair too since 2 yrs ago, I'm going to try some pumpkin oil supplements :) look into it, there's promising research!

luckyDancer100: I’m using the Aveeno ACV. It’s amazing.

Ruby Willow: I've also been losing way too much hair, and have been hearing about this a lot in the past 6 months. I've heard/read that hair loss is a symptom of long COVID. I actually have developed a bald spot in an extremely random place on my head and this is not unheard of in terms of long COVID symptoms

cat: The video we were waiting for ❤

Ema Tique: OGX products is what is making your hair fall out. Mine fell out as well when I used their stuff. So did my mum's and my sisters. My hair is still recovering. They were in a huge lawsuit about it. It was a thing. It was a shame cos their products worked well for me apart from the shedding. Pleeeaaaassee consider changing and read up about it! I have lost soooo much hair using their stuff but ever since I stopped it's much fuller again!

Kristina: Ogx has a lawsuit with people saying it caused hair loss, I have hair like yours but worse. Only shampoo line that works is Garnier honey treasures - the smell kills me tho. But anyways, Ogx always caused hair loss for me so I avoid it now. Also Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil has been growing my spots around my edges and temples especially.

Rebecca 123: Maybe you loose a lot hair after a covid infection? This happened to me, and vitamin D deficiency can cause hairloss

Jap Jab: Always interested in hair

sun ⚘ ★.*: your roots blend beautifully, tbh! i couldn't even tell theyd grown out as much as they have because of the seamless transition. i've been following you since the og long nail and bratzy days lol ♥︎ and i truly think this is the most beautiful and harmonious your hairstyle and coloring have looked thus far; i know it's giving your grief with the fallout, but it's honestly looking so hydrated and sleek. don't cancel out stress being a potential factor! mental health has caused me a lot of natural (kinky coily) hair setbacks in my journey, so be kind to yourself. you look gorgeous, as always

Aden Lewis: Definitely get a super soft silicone scalp massager! I originally had one of those hard ones and felt the same, then I found a rly soft one it’s made such a difference and feels incredible. Maybe try getting a vitamin e supplement? That also helped me

Katie: omg if you want an actually effective ACV product you would LOVE the CLEAR+ Apple Cider Vinegar Clarifying Rinse from Girl+Hair. It's in a super easy to use squeezy bottle and it makes my scalp feel so clean but also like, hydrated??? like it is so soothing feeling and works so well to clarify the dry shampoo from my scalp!! doesn't smell like acv, more like tea tree, and its $13 on their website <33 love u!

Songbird: Hair fall can change seasonally. And if you’ve had Covid or another illness, hair loss may occur weeks or months after. Sorry you’re dealing with this! If it continues, please don’t wait and go see your doctor ASAP!

John Blue: Wow... Your hair color looks like apple cider vinegar, Ms.Demarko

s a v a n n a h: im not sure if youve been asked this before can we PLEASE get a tutorial for this eyeliner??? we have the same eye shape and I can never figure out how to make it look good

Aria Sholl: Hello Isabella, this is for your hair loss : As someone who's always had thick hair I would lose a good amount of it on a daily basis. HOWEVER, last september I noticed that I was loosing wayyy more hair than usual. And just like you, my hair was getting thinner and thinner... I FOUND WAS THE REASON WAS ! So after randomly scrolling through TikTok I see this girl who talks about iron deficiency and about how it affects massivly hair loss. I though that must be it, so i went to my doctor, got a prescription to do a blood test and .... guess who had an anemia ??? ME ( lol ) Anyway, I started to take dietary supplement for iron and brewer's yeast in november and a few weeks later I can see and mostly feel the difference ! I swear it's blowing my mind how my hair is already was better.

imalobot08: I have gone through excessive hair loss over the last few years as well. It would fall out a lot and grow back quickly but I had baby hairs all over my head. I noticed that the longer I went without washing my hair, the more it would fall out. I still only wash it every 2-3 days. But dry shampoo and going 4-5 days without washing it made it more brittle and fragile. Now I feel like I lose alot less hair and it’s in better condition. And my hair is bleached platinum.

Em A: Try colour conditioner masks! Like a gloss to boost your natural colour. Eg overtone

Michala Kučerová: Isabella, did you think about getting the dyson airwrap for straightening your hair? I do use it and I can say it works the best and is easiest to use (also fastest). Not to mention that it's healthier for the hair, too. Obviously it's an expensive tool, but it's high quality and feels like it will last a very long time. As for the hair loss, definitely focus more on the diet. I've been loosing hair in amounts that seemed like half of my head, but since i switched to well-balanced vegan diet, a lot less hair is falling out - just the normal amount i would say. Maybe get your hormone and stress levels checked out too.

shadow cat: I clicked so fast

Historias de Danna Alquati y Luna Martinez: Hi isabella, greetings from mexico, i think, that the problem you had have many years with your hair is the hard water, the minerals and other chemical, they don't allow hair to be fixed. The most cheap option, what can you use, is distilled water, you can make distilled water yourself, its doesn't have minerals, and the hair after shower with this, its feels very good. (Sorry for my bad english)

Annie Bee: you should try and get your scalp professionally cleaned! Safiya Nygaard made a video on it and the microscope shots and what she learned was super interesting!

M Ahmed: I had similar hair like yours, and it was waaaaaay too frizzy. What changed my life is three things, henna mask once a week (lavender water, Rose Mary and lavender essential oil) wash it out with water only then use the Giovanni hair reconstructor hair mask on wet hair and keep it in for a am hour or two and then shower. Lastly spray my scalp with rosemary and lavender essential oil in filtered water every single night. My hair has become so much thicker, the strand it's self is thick, my hair looks very healthy and shiny and grows well.

Shelbylooo: What about the water you’re showering in? It could be hard water which ruins your hair. I want to get one of those shower filter heads.

voyagepam: I’ve also been struggling with general growth and thicker hair. It used to be thicker when I was younger, but throughout the years due to stress it’s fallen out a lot. This past summer I also got diagnosed with gut issues and endometriosis which caused even more stress on my body. I’ve found building a better relationship with food and sleep has helped slightly. I just started using oils and taking care of my scalp more and I’ve seen a HUGE difference in growth and even hydration all the way down to my tips. Currently using rosemary and jojoba on my scalp, massaging it in for 2-3 minutes and leaving it in for at least 30 min. I use baby shampoo (I used to use it into my teens and I realized that my hair troubles started when I stopped it) and a hydrating conditioner. I add a deep conditioning mask every once in a while. It’s helped a bunch. If anyone has any tips, please share them!

Becca Wilson: love your videos!! as someone who has struggled with my hair like you, your vids really helped my confidence and to start loving my hair! I've heard loads about rosemary oil, id love a video of your thoughts on it!! x

Elizabeth Granger: Yes! Used to love watching your hair videos cause I relate so much!My hair’s been so so curly since two years ago. In middle and high school it was just more poofy and not much curly. I think after I switched from sulfates it changed because it was too harsh for my scalp. I got so tired of it being out of control (even your hair would be a dream) and I tried straightening gels but those don’t work at all. The past two years I’ve been using a revlon dryer to dry and straighten my hair the same time but even after it was poofy and out of control so I decided to get a keratin treatment again (Had one years ago in high school but don’t really remember how it turned out cause I still braided my hair back everyday) I did the one at Ulta (Cost $220 but $270 for a haircut I didn’t know added that much on)this June the brand was keratin complex and it really didn’t do much but make more of a wave from a curl at my roots. It did help tame it when I used the revlon brush but after a month it was back. I texted my stylist who did it and said if she could make it straighter this time and she said she had a whole salon at her house that she does the Brazilian blowout from and I did that in September for even less at $150 cause it was her own business and it was so good! I air dried my hair and it was more of a wave and was so stunned by it. I still styled it straight everyday and at about 2-3 months it was starting to come back but still was better than before. This time she had a keratin called Myriam Keratin that would make it even straighter (cost a bit more at $220 but last longer) so I did that two weeks ago and I was just going to dry it like usual but saw how straight the pieces at my ears were and left it to air dry. It dried so straight and it was always my dream since middle school to air dry it smoothly! I think you should totally get a Brazilian cause your hair is more wavy than curly and make a video about how it went and how you like it after cause I feel like there is very vague info explaining it and the different types. I was so afraid of the chemicals and possible damage but it was even healthier after and no effect from the formaldehyde (it turns into that when heated and that’s how it gets so smooth and straight). For hair growth I would try first if I wanted to grow my hair I would try vegamour products or Keratin’s growth line, they have a ton of extra products that targets the scalp (I bought them but can’t use cause I’m allergic to the common preservative phenoxethanol that’s in literally everything ) Also trying to distill your own rosemary water instead of oil. I dislike working with oils on my scalp cause I can’t stand that greasy feeling and feels gross lol. I would totally watch your videos about this and gives you more content if your interested ( ik it takes forever to do cause I’d never be able to have that much patience cause it has to be perfect and would take too much time). Sorry for this long paragraph if you end up reading it lol

Big Z: You're such a gem, Isabella! ❤ Like, older sister-best friend vibes. Ahh just please take care of yourself with the stress and all!

Emily Foster: Some things I've found really helpful for buildup are the inky list salicylic acid scalp exfoliator and the Umberto Giannini grow scrub. Also for thickness/hair growth I love using the Umberto Giannini grow long range. Its reasonably priced but good quality and my hair feels very nourished and I've been using it for a while now and my hair definitely feels thicker/more volume. I hope this helps!!

GerardFrancisTempest: Hi! The loss of hair may be long covid effects if you had covid. I reccomend natural herbs for drinking as a supplementary measure for your supplements: horsetail and nettles tea. Also you cold go and check your blood if you are not anemic or lacking any minnerals ;)

Elizabeth Deen: I enjoy hair videos so I'd love it to become monthly. Also I was hoping to know how your hair held up with the highlights? Is the condition still okay in that area? It looks great!

carrie Has a problem: You know, in my experience sometimes extreme stress and depression can effect quality of hair. Just another point

BTS FOREVER: You look like strawberry shortcake with that top and makeup all you need is a hat And for hair growth you can use minoxidil finasteride topical solution on scalp my dermatologist suggested me for hair fall

Flora: You look amazing in this video! I love your hair colour and your makeup and top is

shores of freedom: OMG you have no idea how happy i am that you posted a haircare/beauty video !!! =)))

lux: oh wow i relate so much on the hair loss & budget struggles. its a constant cycle of what to prioritise too. ❤

Irum Khan: Your roots and hair colour blends supremely well!!!

Jordana B.: Isabella, 4:50 is something I keep hearing you talk about that is slightly false... Yes, hair goes through growth cycles. HOWEVER, every single strand of hair on your head cannot and will not go through the same cycle at once. If this was true, all of us would have months where we were bald and months with long hair. That's just not how humans work. Some strands are in the growth cycle, some have stopped growing and some are falling out( shedding) all of this happens at the same rate so we are never bald. If you are experiencing more shedding than usual, please see a doc❤

im_a_fox: I don't know if you have dm in the UK, but their own hair vitamin is THE BEST.

Catlover 21: Hello. I have struggled with hair loss this past 2 months due to stress. I then decided to try different methods for hairloss. And Rosemary water and clover water have been AMAZING, not only has it stopped my hair shedding but it also makes my hair look fuller and softer. For hair growth I was recommended to try red onion water as it contains sulfur and sulfur promotes hair growth but I have yet to try it. Also vitamins are really helpfull!!

Alex Gatto: Such an interesting idea to mark a specific t-shirt with your hair length! Diet is almost certainly the cause of your hair loss unless you're also under a lot of stress too (that's a killer.) As you say, supplements are NOT a replacement for healthy, whole foods but biotin and MSM are two of the best for hair (and nails), and MSM especially is usually very inexpensive. Adding ground flax seed to your food is another cheap and easy way to add omegas to your diet, it can go into almost anything and be almost undetectable! If you have a spice or coffee grinder you can even get whole seeds cheap, store them in the freezer, and just grind a bit at a time so they stay fresher, but don't bother eating the whole seeds as they are too tiny for your teeth and body to break down properly and most of the nutrients aren't extracted!

Natasha Blong: Have you considered using henna? You can mix it 50/50 with cassia if you want more orange than red. You can also add alma to help prevent it from affecting curly hair texture and aloe powder for moisture.

Ruth: If you've been noticing the hair loss in the last few months it could be due to seasonal hair loss. Every autumn I lose a lot of hair and start panicking around October time about how much thinner my hair feels. After a bit of googling I found that seasonal autumnal hair loss does occur and scientists aren't sure why, but they theorise it could be due to your hair growing thicker in summer to protect your head from UV light. If it grows back next spring/summer then thins again next autumn that could be why xx

yassmineflappie1: Also nice shampoo that i would recommend you to use 2/3 times a month is Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Triple Detox Shampoo. It also helps with your quality and eventually help with keeping moisture. I also noticed dat deep oiling my hair every week has not only fixed the ends of my hair, but also prevent hairloss. Good luck Isabella❤

Emilia Klause: Have you ever tried Henna hair treatment ? It dies your hair a nice tone of copper and nourishes your hair leaving it more luscious, shiny and healthy. I tried it for the first time recently and I'm so happy with the result. I don't want red hair so I didn't leave it too long (30 minutes) and the highlights it gave me are just so beautiful. I plan on doing it every month as it fades away over time. I highly recommend 'Henne Pur Renforce, Main de Fatma'. I would love to see you try it and hear your thoughts on it.

Cadi Davies: Love ur vids

A Barnfield: Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I lost alot of hair and it was dry/frizzy and it turned out to be my thyroid. Best of luck! Also collagen powder and rosemary oil helped me get growth

GenbrugsSnaller: Even after your loss of hair, you still got thicker hair than me. Ur still pretty. I have Scandinavian hair. It's not thin, but it's more like a normal amount of hair here in Scandinavia, but I tend to overthink it and think that I'm balding But I don't think I am.

emily quintero: You makeup looks so beautiful! Can you do a tutorial plss

a e: أنا نفس نوع الشعر واكتشفت إن قص الأطراف حتى لو جافه هو الي يمنع التطويل أي أحد عربي يتابعها يكلمني ❤

Anonymous: Hey Isabella ❤️ Hope you are doing well! Why don't you do the castor oil challenge since everyone claims it thickens hair. It would be great to know if it really does work. ✨

Mini Su: finally I am craving your hair videos hehe

More Riah: It's the shed phase. It starts around august and ends around march. Please don't worry about it cause it makes it worst. Check if the hair you lose has a white bulb on the end which will tell you you're in the shed phase. Scalp massages won't fix anything in this case. If you see complete bald patches then worry and talk to your doctor.

J: I started using the ordinary’s multi peptide hair serum cuz I lost a lot of hair because of my pcos, it’s been a month and I already see a difference

Jess I: I love the aveeno one but I do have oily hair. It cleans my scalp but leaves my hair soft

Sophie Marie: so many brands have come out with rosemary oil to grow your hair, as a pre wash and massage your hair with it in for 5 minutes twice a week!!, natural spell and hair syrup from tiktok had incredible results

Hassan Hayek: I really enjoy you’re videos about hair and the dos and don’t’s, I hope you will achieve your hair goal. You are really nice to listen too, please keep up the good videos and advice.

fck you: Ltraly same! Everyone i know has been losing alot of hair recently including me!

Erika Dunne: Just an opinion, but I think the reason your hair was so frizzy in the past was due to over obsessing about it (and over correcting it with products). That’s the way the body likes to be such an asshole; the less you obsess about it, the better it looks.

Christine Lowry: I am sorry to hear you are suffering with hair loss. It is also a problem for people who are epileptic because of the medication to treat seizures such as lactimol and keppra. I have epilepsy and I am on medication however I do not suffer with hair loss because I take folic acid supplements which is useful as the medication deplets folic acid levels. It also deplets vitamin D3 and biotin levels for some people however this is not the case for me because I eat soya yoghurt as it is high in biotin and vitamin D and for me this replaces dairy due to my dairy products allergy. I am also use a honey, chamomile tea and olive oil to naturally lighten my own hair and this prevents hair loss because honey is known for preventing hair loss and promoting faster hair growth. It also removes build up of hair products which I found has made my hair less oily as my hair is naturally between normal and oily. I also use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner which is really beneficial for preventing hair loss. I also now only wash my hair every seven days due to this. I would also recommend using ginger as a hair mask combined with a carrier oil such as olive oil because ginger is known to prevent hair loss and promote growth because it increases circulation. I stopped using hard plastic bristle hairbrushes because they are not good for hair loss and instead I use a soft bristle hairbrush which is much better for hair as it causes less breakage. I hope some of this information is helpful.

Debble: Fall is a season for more hairloss than normal.but stress and things can exasperate that. Also food is hella important. Especially in winter england where vit D levels are just naturally really low. combine it with omega 3 in either food or capsules

Irum Khan: U need to be using rosemary oil - balmonds . Every week. It will really help

officer: Use kama hair oils

Maggie Moyer: i heard that ogx can lead to hair loss, so i’d be careful!

anne kendziora: try supplementing with iodine. I stated to shed hair really bad for close to a year. Two weeks after taking lugols 2% iodine (two drops) my shed was almost back to normal. Now i have a lot of new growth.

Aaheli Ganguly: I think you should add rosemary hair oil and deep conditioner conditioner for your hair

Vivi: You NEED to do a Lip tutorial <3
