Hey guys all right, so this is sunshine from you know, eggs. She looks very crazy and very ratty, but it's totally okay, because it's just tangles there's no, no real damage being done to it. It'S just from turning it inside out several times. So I have the wig here's the lace front. Okay, what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na bring most of the hair up to the front of the wig like this. I'M gon na comb all of this towards the front, and you will see here's where the lace stops. This is all parting space that I've got going on here. It'S a middle part. Here'S the where the lace tark's stops and here's where the wefts start. Okay. So I'm gon na just kind of comb as much of this forward as I can and that will really help to not get any. This is the front of the wig. This is the back of the wig. This will help to not get any of this extra hair in the dart when we sew it. So I have it on my hand: here's the parting space okay. This may make more sense to you after you actually do it, but I'm gon na comb this forward. Okay, now I've got my Styrofoam head and I want to put this inside out with that hair over the front. So all this hair, that's on the back of my hand, is actually in the front of the wig and we're just gon na comb it all over. Okay, are you following me so that way, when I flip this wig over my Styrofoam head, it's gon na look like this. So here's the front of the wig. So with that one motion, I combed it all forward and then I folded it over the styrofoam head. So here's the front, here's the face and here's all of this extra hair that we want to keep out of the dart. I really hope this makes sense and when I had the wig on, I not technically measured it, but I kind of pinched the cap. While it was on my head - and I I pinched about how much I noticed that the cap was too big. So I just took a get a good pinch out of the the closed cap and I made I've pinned a dart, so this is a little bit. This is just a little teeny, tiny pinch and then the pinch gets thicker, I'm sure there's an actual term. For this - and I make myself sound like an idiot, but whatever it's gon na work now all I need to do is to start sewing this okay guys. So here I am just so so so in a way here is my dart. I'Ve got a curved needle nylon thread and I have it doubled. I do not want this to go anywhere and I've got the pension here. I'Ve got the pin in and this curved needle is really good for this. First of all, first of all I started in the because this is this was knotted thread. If you start in the mesh cap, it's just going to pull through. So your first stitch has to be through the lace. So it's really gon na it's really gon na hook in there and I work you don't want to go over this bump. You don't want to go stitching over this, so I work on one side and with the curved needle I put it through and back through this side, just like that, okay and pull the thread so now the thread stays on this side of this big dart. So I go with my curved needle through the dart out the other side and then back in to this side, and I would like to say I am in no way a professional. I am in no way a professional wig, maker or stylist or any profession whatsoever that has to do with hair. This is just stuff that has worked for me and I'm sharing it with you so out the other side and back through this side. Okay and that's it and I'm just gon na continue on so there we go. There'S our dart, that's how I'm sewing it. We'Re gon na call this a shark fin. Okay, so I'm gon na finish sewing this shark fin exactly the way that I've been showing you all right guys. So I finished sewing the shark fin all the way up to the top of the wig, all the way up to the lace, and I made sure that I nodded it really well in the lace. So I'm about halfway back and what I'm doing with my thread. Now I've took it taken all the pins out is kind of to lock that stitch in you can see the stitches I'm gon na go over the stitch, tie a knot and pull so through this over the stitch and back through on the same side. Okay and then, where my thread is in a circle, I'm gon na go through the circle and kind of make a knot. Are you following me and pull it over the stitches under the stitches and through the loop and not - and I am almost finished with this - hey guys, so I have finished - sewing this dart or shark fin into the cap of my sunshine wig. I'Ve made sure that I knotted it really well into the lace that seam is not going anywhere. So that's all done. I was considering cutting this, but actually I tried it on and I don't think I need to cut it. It lays down, and it doesn't doesn't make the back of the wig stick up off my head, so I think I'm just gon na not cut it. I'M gon na leave it alone. The next step after you're finished with the seam is you want? It is gon na be really difficult for you to see the seam and we're gon na be looking for it. So if you can imagine that's how hard it would be for you to see the seam which you're when you're not looking for it when it's just in the back of the wig, I have right there. It is it's it's almost invisible. What you want to do is just to make sure. Sometimes some of these hairs will like get looped inside the seam. So you just want to go down the seam and brush the hair on both sides to make sure that there's no hairs trapped inside where you've sewn it. So you go all the way down, I'm at the back, I'm on the way all the way down, and I'm telling you that it is it's invisible. You really cannot. You really cannot see this seam and I'm gon na put this on really quick whoops all right. So the cap feels amazing. It is so it is so much better. Honestly, it was this cap. It was so big on my head that I couldn't sleek the wig down, because the cap was, the extra cap was bubbling right there and on this side as well. So you see now the cap fits me really well I'll. Show you the back of the wig. You can see, there's no evidence of that scene being in there. It lays flat you, you, wouldn't it's hard to find the scene when you're looking for it. So it's completely unnoticeable while you're wearing it. So that is how you make a closed cap wig smaller the dart just kind of folds over when you put the wig on and it's laying down flush to my head. It is not uncomfortable and the least of the wig fits me, and now I can go ahead and do the work on the part and curl it and do whatever else that I decide. I want to do with this wig, so I will put right here. The review an unboxing video for the sunshine wig it is from you know, XCOM. I have a coupon code, Tiffany tin, use that at checkout to save 10 % and don't forget to hit that subscribe button for me, and I also give this video a big thumbs up. Kai Dionne: Ty so much for sharing this because I recently just got my first wig and it’s big on me. I have tried looking for useful tips but never really helped but looking at your way of making it fit helps me a lot. Not difficult at all

Nataly 239: Awesome tutorial, love your channel

ANZUICHiK0RiNGO: Thank you for your great vid My wig is also too big - but is it possible to sew horizontally? Because I think my wig is just to big on the bag of my head. It‘s like an empty bag but I can’t buy a new one. It’s a full lace wig and was really expensive for me I would be happy if you or someone give me a tip :) thanks & greetings! ☀️

Erin Renten: thanks i have been having the same problem! was trying to find another wig but for petite head and having no luck unless i wanted to pay a lot of money.. so thank you! it really helped me

Elise West: I have the same problem with the Uniwig Bambi wig .I,m going to try that . Thanks

Ankita Singh: Great video...I really would love to see all your wig collection

christina k: Is there a way to make this work on a open weft cap? Just curious for future reference. Ive already modified my current wig to work for me but I went about it a completely different way. I also sacrificed the length of my wig since it was just soooo heavy. My fault tho. I went into a wig store not knowing what to look for as a first time wig buyer. Lessons learned. Lol However, without your videos I would still be hating my hair thanks to thinning so thank you for contributing to the Youtube world and waking me up to the wig life!!

Rachel Veno: That is easy in what I think is a full lace,  soft cap. Have you tried this with a wefted style wig at all?   I loved the way you spoke about your actions, very nice.

cindy s: Hi Tiffany,  a quick question.  Can you cut baby hair around the hairline of a non-lace cap?

Debbie F: Wow thanks sooo much, great Knowledge and refreshing not to have some silly kid with loud music trying to impress. Looking forward to some more Regards Debbie

Maria Evans Herborn: Awesome. I'm going to do this to the nape of a small cap wig I have that's too large only there.

Nancy Gonzales: Awesome thx I'm really not comfortable cutting my wigs that the caps are to big I've done some with luck some others a total loss very disappointing! So just got another little Bob I lv but once again the caps to big which we all know is not comfortable just feels crappy for lack of a better word they all feel like my own hair when they fit and I feel confident! So looks good I'm going to try this thank you ❤️

Farrin Bridgewater: Super dope video! Can this be done with on a full lace wig?

The McPoyles: I am going to attempt this Thanks
