Wiig modifications have you ever purchased a wig that was too loose well, this video will show you how to adjust the wig cap so that your we will fit properly. First, we will begin by placing the wig on you or your clients head. I'M going to pin the hair up here, so you can see exactly what I'm doing I'm going to go towards the back and what we're going to do is while the wig is on your clients head, go all the way in the back and pinch the wig Until it feels very secure and snug, if your wig has a flexi comb like this one pinch right next to the flexi comb, and I do prefer that you pinch it in the back and not on the sides or anywhere there. The back will give you more of a balance to feel so pinch it there and get a stick, pin and secured just like that. You see the stick pin there. So this is. This is going to track our measurement here and what we're going to do is turn the weed inside out now remove the wig from your head or your clients head and place it on a wig head or a canvas head, and here's where we pinned the hair. You see and what we're going to do is underneath grab the little section where we pinched and we're going to remove the pin here, get your scissors and cut now. This may cut some of the elastic bands that are in the week and some of the webs, but that's okay, but be sure not to cut too deeply where you're cutting the hair underneath here so only cut just the top okay, we'll cut right at the Flexi Column, if that's what you have on your wig okay - and this is the section that we are removing okay, and this is how we're going to adjust the wig to make it more snug. Now that we have the section that we're going to work on you'll need your needle and thread and we're going to stitch the two ends together. Hold it tightly and insert the needle and thread stitch it very tightly, and you may also double knot and make sure your stitching is really secure. It'S okay to over stitch, just to make sure you have everything together: okay and that's really secure, okay and I'm going to tie the night at the end. Stick the needle through take the loop over and pull the needle through the loop and make a knot. Now that we have stitched the band together, you may have noticed that there may be some webs that were cut when we were adjusting the band or there may be an elastic band such as this one. That'S not attached, so anything that needs to be attached. Just pull it firmly and attach it or sew it to the wig band. So since we cut this really neatly we're going to just pull this one down and stitch it to the wig cap, now, remember: don't let the needle go too deep into the wig, because it's going to pull the hair, that's underneath the wig! So do it really close to the top so you're sure only to get the web's and the band in always to the double knot. So what can be secured? And now you have successfully completed your wig modification, put it on your clients, head style and it's wet. Ready-To-Wear, thank you for viewing. My video

Missy Jaye: Oh my goodness, this is exactly what I've been needing! My head is very small (circumference 20 inches) and all wigs are way too big for me. I have tried making my own, but it never comes out as good as a purchased, styled & cut wig. Thank you so very much for this video!

Samueletta Humphrey: Thank you so very much. Your presentation was very detailed and thorough. I’m a first time wig wearer. This helped me tremendously.

anne marie conrod: Love your video! I’ve been trying forever to learn how to tighten the nape of a beautiful short wig with no success ...it always buckled or gaped making the nape look terrible and not laying flat. I’m going to try your method and pray it works. Great explanatorial video! Annemarie.

MARY B. CLAYBOURNE: Thank you this is very simple and I appreciate you!

Nina: Thank you so much honey! Your tutorial was very helpful. I was trying to figure this out for the longest while now and I finally decided to use youtube for the answer and you definitely did just that.

Pebbles: Hi there! I enjoyed your video and it was very helpful. I think you did a really good job. I often end up with wigs that are too big so this is great to know. I think my head is even smaller than petite, lol. I'm sort of afraid to cut my wig. Can this be done by just making a tuck? Or tuck in each side in the back? I don't know if I'm confident enough to cut my wigs, but you made it look easy. It won't be easy for me, lol.

Theresa Roussell: thank you so much! i just got my first 3/4 wig & my head is too small for it LOL this is helpful for my dilemma & hopefully i will cut & sew good ;)

Kim .Nic'e: This was extremely helpful!!

erika key: this was so helpful you just made my day!!!!

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: Wow, great video. I never saw this method before.

Suzette: Thank you so much for this tutorial.

eastnybabe: I like this especially because sometimes the wig is loose when one of the straps in the back hook breaks off so you can't hook it anymore i never thought about sewing it...

Carolyn Jones: Thank you, this is just the information that I needed.

ann green: Hi, how do you remove the plastic liner that comes inserted on the wig cap? I love this type of wig cap, but I have a terrible time removing the plastic insert.

kinky grace: This was a very good video !!!! Much needed video ! : )

S.L Moore: GREAT IDEA! TFS! Can this be done on a human hair lace front?

Knechole Money: Thank you so!! Was going to throw my wig away

robertafaccina: great tutorial!

KosettaMarlaMay: EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!

Ladimystyk: Your vids are great, but I have a question. Most standard wig caps are too big for me, not just around the perimeter, but throughout the entire head. If I only adjust the perimeter of wig, I am still going to have a lot of space which gaps in the back of the wig or poofs out kinda weirdly. Is there anything you can suggest for that?

Sharita Hunt: Genius!!!! ThanksbI really needed this!!!!

goldenlady2: Perfect idea thanx!

Naidalis1: Great tip! Thanks.

debra willette: I have my  Grandma's wig and it's vintage but the elastic is shot. I love this Wig, and want to fix it. It's High Quality.  What do you recommend for me to fix it?

Stacey Lovett: can I cut the adjustable straps out?

mrsembm: Thanks for this video!

kim rudolph: can you do this for a pixie wig

Royalty Patterson: yes needed this got a half cap thats loose. so now i know.

Amid Beauty: @mekaziona : Yes, this can work on a lace front wig. I would suggest that you put the wig on your head and pin the areas that need to be tightened to ensure the right fit.

MSFORD2001: Best video I seen on how to do this. The Bobby pin method is stupid and painful

Toni Gordon: The clip that’s in the back where did you get it from?

SharDa Goldsby: can i do this with a u part wig, if i used the hot glue gun :(

Kimberly Gilliam: Your video is the only one I have found that could help me BUT the audio is messed up! I need to hear what you're saying

Bella: Thank u dear, my head is so small and it always so much material in the back

sonyea01: Hi, where can I get one of those wig heads your using, how much are they?

Kim Gregg: thank you!

God’s child: i sew my wig to when they are to big for my head, but i dont cut i just add darts like if i was taking in a pants! i will b to afraid to cut the hair

sergio acosta centeno: Very very very very nice video? this is. i am a your big fan you are only my real hero. i liked all of your videoss and shared with everyone i know..

sonyea01: Is there anything you can do for full lace human hair wigs if the cap is too big also? I've been seaching youtube, and can only find modifications for wigs like this one in your video, but nothing on full lace wigs. Please help if anyone has any info out there...

J. M.: The audio is all distorted

Ashley Breana: I’m trying to watch the video but it’s super choppy and keeps skipping bu can’t hear what you’re saying. Im going to attempt this method simply by watching it so u hope that works without my being able to actually hear

jenifer55781: Thanks for this... do you have any suggestion for a wig that is to big in the crown area? I made a u part an there isn't any extra cap to pinch. I even made the cap much smaller an still too big...thanks

Toni Durst: This video does not play voice .....
