Hey all, what's up and welcome back to my channel today, we are talking about things in products and tools and stuff like that that you're gon na need to start a healthy relaxed haircare journey. So I'm not gon na go into detail about like all of the products. Maybe I will maybe I won't, but it's more so like the categories of stuff that you're gon na need, you do mean, like oh you're, gon na need a conditioner and stuff like that. So, anyway, before we hop onto this, video, like always be sure that, if you have not subscribed yet be sure that you do it down below, it is completely free, and you can stay connected to me. Oh right so yeah be sure to do that down below and also while you're down. There gets a notification bill that way, you don't miss any further content for me also be sure you hit the thumbs up button. That way, it lets me know that you guys will like this type of content. So anyway, let's hop on into the video so pretty much. What I should mention, first and foremost, is that all links will be down below in the description box all links. I will try to link my favorite of each category down below and I'll try to link them in order, if I can't remember, but I'm gon na do my best for y'all excited you're gon na link, em and I'm sorry I'll, be forgetting so remind me. So yes, so anyway, everything will be linked down below in the description box, for you guys to reference, if you guys are wanting to check it out as well. First and foremost, one of the things you're gon na need is a good moisturizer to moisturize moisturize and seal your hair speaking of moisturize and seal your hair to steal your hair, you're gon na need an oil, so good oils that I personally love coconut oil, castor Oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil. Those are easy oils to start out with. If you have to pick two to start out with, I would say olive and coconut, but be sure to test, to see if coconut is weird, with your hair, some people's hair, hates coconut oil and then my, for example. My hair derives on coconut oil, so just kind of depends so do a spot test before you put all over your hair and something weird happen. So yeah grapeseed oil is really inexpensive, but it also has great benefits, so I definitely say check that out as well. Just good oils to start out with so you're gon na need moisturizer, you're gon na need some oils to start out with. I always put my oils in this little like squirt squirt. Why can't I talk today I'll talk about oils like if it's a little spray bottle with this little nozzle on the top? That way, I don't know if you y'all can see that with a little nozzle up there. That way, I can squirt it throughout my hair and stuff like that really easily. Whenever I moisturize I'm sorry, my hair, so super helpful, so I'll recommend you to some of those too I'll put them down below those are obstacles aren't like necessities. For me, they are anyway. Okay. Also on my channel, I have a oil series that I did like featuring a whole bunch of different oils, the benefits of each oil - if you guys are wondering that burger here just like that, I have a whole bunch of videos on my channel and in a Oil series playlist on my channel as well, if you go to the main home page of my channel and just look like scroll down you're gon na see like playlist it has. The oil series check those videos out for each of benefit of those, but then also just put them a playlist. You can find the oil series there too so check that out. I'M another thing that you're gon na need is clarifying. Shampoo, clarifying shampoo does pretty much it kind of like takes all the gunk out of your hair. I do this once a month, typically at the beginning of the month. Just so I can personally remember when I did it. I man, if I did it to make sure they'd, do it, but it removes all the gunk and the craziness out of your hair that maybe left your like residues, like not a residue that sounds really gross but like moisturizer. That may still be there pretty much. It just helps you start new, I'm in fresh every single month, so I will link some ones that I, like I like um this one by RS that I like and they're, also one by shea moisture that I like is whoa. That'S not super super stripping, but just FYI whatever I clarified my hair. I then follow it up with a co-wash from Aussie which I'll talk about in a minute Aiko wash my hair. Then I also deep condition my hair with a moisturizing deep conditioner. Next you're gon na need is a moisturizing shampoo and what I recommend is that all your shampoos are sulfate free, so you can get sulfate free shampoos at the clarify and moisturizing shampoo moisturizing shampoo is more so on report. Your like regular day, clarifying shampoo at the very beginning of my hair journey I had are not my hair drain, I'm just the very gringa me trying to take care of my hair, hey y'all. I was washing my hair every single week with a clarifying shampoo. I had no idea anything about hair care and stuff like that. That'S why I got like into it's so heavy. Now I started doing YouTube videos about it. Cuz when I did my research and found out certain things. I was like. Oh my gosh. No wonder my hair was breaking off. No wonder my hair was dry, so that's like I literally, was using a clarifying shampoo, like I'm a weekly basis to wash my hair cuz. I did not know any better. This was back in high school, but still that's what made me really looks like started my research and look into hair care tips and tricks and stuff like that, and that's what started my channel okay. So something else you gon na need is a conditioner for co-washing um. I talked about Co washing all the time on my channel, all the all the all the time. I don't know why I did that combination like all the all the Alba anyway. So, yes, I could wash my hair, probably one to three times a week. My hair loves water, my let my hair at loves conditioner. So, on a regular week when I'm not working out or anything like that, I do Co wash my hair only once a week anyway, a good co washing conditioner is hace. Muy store Herbal Essences, absolutely love those too of use. Those for pretty like a pretty much a long time - love awesome. Elise, that's my number one favorite. Another thing that you're gon na need is tools when I say tools or any like combs brushes. Obviously, hair ties, you're gon na need head beginnings. For you know those rough day he's stuff like that. Just make sure you grab that, so I'm pretty sure you guys probably have that also you're gon na need satin bonnet and a satin pillowcase, so that's kind of an end or satin pillowcase. I personally have both because sometimes I well not sometimes I sleep wild in my bonnet. A lot of times comes off at night, so they're just kind of keeps me protected and keeps my hair protected from not being dried out with a cotton pillowcase. Oh, I sleep with a satin bonnet or side to wrap around my head and then I also sleep with a satin pillowcase and also with that, so not just satin bonnet, but you may need like satin wraps or whatever. I do my bantu knots. I have like this wrap that I wrap around and keep it like tie in, and then I also put my satin bought it on to make sure everything stays in place. So you can get those at the Buse by store she's literally, like a satin wrap. It'S pretty much, it's just a piece of random fabric. Just don't ask me why it sitting right there, but anyway um. I had no idea. I was gon na use it for this, but pretty much like I will wrap my head like like this. Whenever I have bantu knots going on - and I want to keep my hair locked in for the night to make sure they don't come undone, so that's what I'll do then I'll put my stamp on it over. On top of that, that's what I meant about that! Okay, also you're gon na need a moisturizing, deep, conditioner and you're also going to need a protein deep conditioner. One of the main things I talk about on this channel is moisture and protein balance, so you're pretty much gon na need both of those um. That way, you guys can just be sure you're maintaining both of those. So, for example, if I get in the shower a lot of times I'll get in the shower at night, with a preconceived notion of what I made Hughes, I kind of just keep all my prep, not all my products in the shower, but I keep like one Of each in the shower, if that makes sense like a good protein thing and a good moisturizing thing that way, if I get in there and realize oh my hair, it's gon na limp and I need some protein I'll. Add that a and, if I'm like. Oh, my hair is kind of dry super super strong, no good protein I'll go and ask something moisturizing. So that's why I say it's good to have both and it's kind of for me. It'S a necessity for you to have both just because you're gon na need that eventually, you know when I say a protein B condition, I'm not meaning a protein treatment that comes later, but this is just literally a protein based deep conditioner and you're. Also gon na need a moisturizing, moisturizing moisturizer moisturizing base deep conditioner, alternating and moisturizing leave-in you're also gon na need a protein, leaving y'all are getting the point. So what these are gon na be both so moisturizing leaving the one I really like it's from meal or meal. I never know how to pronounce it, but it's literally this brand that has, I have a piece of hair strung on it, but it's this spring right here and they're moisturizing, the leaving conditioner comes like a little squirt e bottle thing. So that's the one I like and then for protein leave-in conditioner y'all can probably already guess this. If y'all follow other like influencers and hair people on YouTube is the can to leave-in conditioner it's protein based or it's like. It'S not super heavy protein, but it's protein on that. That'S what I like! So that's what I use a lot of times. I just use that in place of anything and also you're gon na need a protein good protein treatment, the one that I absolutely love. Well, there's a lot of different variations of what you can do for a protein treatment. You can make your own at home. I have a video on my channel about how to do a protein treatment with an egg super messy. So, if you're down for that, go for it, if you don't want to make it super messy, I get the ORS protein treatment. It'S like the hair hair mayonnaise is what it's called when I use that once a month to make sure I'm getting my protein. In my hair, with relaxer that strips out some of the things on our hair that we need to fill in so protein treatments do that wonderfully. So I do that once a month, so I clarify my hair once a month and I do a protein skimmer once once a month. I definitely recommend the RS, then also something that I use if I'm just like. I forget if I get in the shower - and I might oh my hair - you know pills, I'm not mushy, but that's kind of how your hair feels when you don't have enough protein. But if I notice my hair needs weren't protein, I will use the effigy. I think it's too minute Rican structure, but I leave it in for like five to seven minutes and then rinse it out. It'S just a good protein. You know touch-up whenever you're needing some protein, so I also recommend that it's about a fatty. You don't link that down below as well, so there's some optional things that you guys can have are like a dryer. I have a dryer that I do like hot oil treatments with or I'll do like a like 30 minutes under my dryer for my deep conditioner. My pre-poo I'll do that it just depends, but I have a dryer. I will link it down below the one that I have it's like the big. It'S like that, the cap that hooks onto that core and the core links out, but it's actually really portable and it's really easy. I will link it. I, like the one that I have down below in the description box, for you guys, so you can get a heat cap. I used to have a heat cap, but I got really gross eventually cuz. I'Ve had it for so long, but I love the heat cap because you don't have to necessarily sit under the dryer or you can sit under the dryer and then put it on immediately. That way, you can lock the heat in, but then that way you can walk around your house. You can do dishes, you can walk your dog if you want fun thoughts. I like that. I don't know, but whatever you want to do with it, but then it pretty much traps in the heat from your head and it's like naturally coming and it traps it in to help condition your hair, which works amazingly. So I really love heat caps. They are like, specifically, I think, called heat caps. For that reason I have like aluminum - or I don't know the material, but it's something in there to keep the heat trapped in. So that's awesome also. I do recommend grabbing some like the plastic caps for conditioning like the like the shower caps. I guess so they're, like the clear, really cheap plastic shower caps. It like tells we'll give you I love those because then you can just I deep condition, my hair with that I'll do oil treatments with that. I have a whole bunch of it and I got mine from Amazon. I got like a hundred for super cheap. That way, I don't have to keep going on to Sally's to like get some going out to random places to get something and the ones that I got actually fit. My head. I got some before they were super small, which is defeats the whole point, so the ones that I got actually put my head so I'll link those down below for you guys as well. So I think that's pretty much it all. You guys need to start a haircare attorney, I'm pretty sure, but honestly I may be forgetting something. So if I am comment down below for the people who are watching this, who have already started your hair care journey, comment down below help us out, but I think that's all that I pretty much need and use for my haircare journey overall, it's so worth you're Gon na learn so much about your hair and you're gon na fall in love with your hair and stuff like that.
