My 4C Hair Fell Out and a Natural Hair Salon In Nigeria did This To Fix It

Hey loves,

So, today I will be taking y'all through my visit to a Local Natural Hair salon in Lagos Nigeria. I meannnnnn... we are in Nigeria babes so ofcourse, we had to scout for a Local Natural Hair Salon in the city of Lagos! Was definitely excited for this one as it was first time getting such an experience of a full on natural hair salon treatment in Nigeria where all the juicy natural hair tips and tricks were shared. The only sad part which we noticed during the entire process was that my 4c hair fell out like it was literally falling out in huge sheds. Not sure I have seen my 4c natural hair go through this kind of hair loss but anyways, let's watch to see how this Natural Hair Salon in Nigeria came through to fix it while assisting with the re growth of my 4c natural hair in the most healthy way possible. And yeah, we did a very cute flat twist and mini twists hair style on short 4c natural hair that black women with any hair type can rock beautifully as well. Hope y'all enjoy coming with me to visit this Natural Hair Salon in Lagos Nigeria :) #4chair #naturalhair

Smallmatters: 3min late I'm early y'all I deserve this whole video ☺️

Ellie: She's spot on about natural hair twists for growth. I did those all throughout pandemic...just washing, moisturizing, oil, and some twists. My hair grew from shoulder to waist in a year. When i started back with the box braids using extension, i got breakage at the hairline smh.

My-Yoshi: I really need her to do my hair!!!! I could SEE how gentle she was and the fact that she was honest with you and wanted to protect your hair! I am 47 and NEVER experienced a salon or stylist who seemed to care about the actual HEALTH of my hair. But I'm in the states

Ossie R: You wouldn’t get your hair washed in the USA for $17. She’s amazing, what a beautiful job she did.

Courtney P: I love seeing hairstylists that properly care for natural hair she did a wonderful job

Melanie Draughon: It came out pretty. Keep an eye on that hair loss. Also if it keeps coming out like that, have your thyroid checked. I lost a lot of hair before I realized that it was a medical issue. I still have a bald spot in the middle of my head. I love your laugh and smile. Have a great day

Melanie Oyadina Smith: Rest is making me want to fly to Nigeria tomorrow to let her give me that same hairstyle. Love it for you Adanna... 'Lagos crazy driver now'

heyfranny: Ms Adanna, that African sun and heat got your skin looking extra luxurious. Sis did an amazing job with your hair. I especially love how she sectioned and finger detangled throughout the whole process. Your hair was shiny as hell and super neat. Tfs your salon experience.

La Vonne MacFarland: Rest did an amazing job with your hair; she literally brought your hair back to life! The style looks good on you too!

FARAFINA221972: The hairstylist is talented and she cares for her customers

LUS: From what I saw it wasn’t really shedding. Here is the thing: every human being loses a certain amount of hair every day. Now because we like braiding our hair etc (all those protective style) we think hair is not shedding. Then when we take them out we think we’re losing hair. No it’s all the hair that shedded under the protective style!!!!! Pnviously if it’s too much you know your hair is breaking for some reason!

Angela Truly: Hi Adanna. Sorry for the hair issues, but remember 'stress' can cause those issues too. Life can can be very busy sometimes, but remember to treat yourself as now. Take breaks, tea o beer o glass of wine, good book, prayers, yoga, or whatever helps you to drain the stress.

Brandi: I absolutely love your hair like that. She did an amazing job. Wish we had more natural stylists in my area that takes pride in their work like this.

Lynell Jones: This particular time I had braids, took them out and lost all of this hair. I had to research what could make this happen. I remembered that I do have low iron and that’s what my research led me. Started my iron regimen and my hair is stronger for it. Taking care of your insides lead to a beautiful and glowing outside

Chanika: This style is soooo neat and $17 wow I'd go every week lol

The Artist - Formally Known As BAP: I felt a way about heat on my natural 4c hair too, but now I use low heat every wash day. It not only stretches our hair, but it opens the cuticles and helps our hair absorb the moisture.

Muferihat Abduljelil: LOVE, love Looooooove this! As a fellow African, I totally related to you. I too get my hair done at least once while visiting and it’s the best experience.

Shanice Smith: Beautiful ❤️ $17 for that hairstyle though!!! I would be paying $75 here in the US!!

Jane Atungo: Nice to see you Adanna, because of you have literally learnt everything to do with hair, and have started my channel like 2weeks ago,i can now do my hair comfortably .Thank you dear ❤

Sheila Metcalf: You look beautiful in the first few seconds of the video! Your energy, charisma, positivity, and on and on. What a gem you are to us Blessings to you sis ❤️

Clarisha Bailey: Loved seeing a hair style on my hair type and seeing you rock how it looks on girlies like us. Hope we can find even more cute styles like this on our low density, fine 4c hair, reply with suggestions if anyone has any!

Jessica Fianko: Hey Adanna Hey, Happy Sunday. Hooray for today's video on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Oh no I'm so sorry that your hair fell out, I'm happy and glad that someone was able to bring your hair back to life I can't wait to see how she styled the hair Sending love

Gloria Bachus: I love how she cared for your hair . The style is perfect for you . The price is exceptional

LaTonya Williams: I love how gentle she was and the way she treated your hair. I just had to go back to a twa because of damaged hair . Think I'll go back to twists after seeing your video.

Judy Baker: Your hair actually looked like it grew quite a bit:) I’ve learned that some shedding is to be expected. It was beautiful b4 & after

TRUTHSERUM: Beautiful shiny ✨ natural hair! The salon did an amazing job loving on your hair! So glad you to the time for self love and self care. You and your hair deserves it.

Chuku Adah: I really need that hair massage that comes with having someone wash my hair and she was clearly gentle with the entire twisting process

emily rosebery: I know I'm late but cornrows make my hair fall out everytime, it's a no go for me even if I love the way it looks. Love your texture ❤

TeNice Xoxo: I love your stylist name Rest is so comforting and her energy is so precious. $17 ?! Lawd I need to visit Africa. Your hair looks good

ChelleyFresh01: This is the second time I’m hearing of good reviews about Nigerian hair salons! Wish I could visit one! Maybe one day

Joy God'sown: I loved watching this, I follow them on Instagram and it’s good to see that they’re truly legit…♥️

Tina BlackberryRose: Adanna your hair is Beautiful. Thank You for sharing your salon experience in .

Leene Cooper: I'm loving every bit of this I can't imagine having to take the twist out when it's time lol i love you❤

mahogany muffin: I LOVE the end result. Rest did a fabulous job! Beautiful!

Nicole Allen: Queen slay all day.I just want to tell you I watched you for awhile and you are truly the epitome of beautiful inside out . You give me a new love for me.Keepnown loving the skin your in . You are very inspiring

SpkLfe: Such a great video. I loved seeing what styles you came up with before you moved, but I am so looking forward to see what you do with your natural hair now. I love this style by the way.

Kashleigh B: Ooh yes, this style is IT! Looks sooooo pretty

xohotgirl4u2nv: It’s soooooo beautiful!!!!! You left with your hair looking shiny, healthy and luxurious

The Owl Channel: Hi Adanna! Your hair probably shed because of the change in weather. Going from Canada to Nigeria is a totally different humidity, etc. and the hair reacts to the change. Hair looking great, it will return :)

BBGigi 7: Love the end result Grrl…gorgeous! And your skin…flawless!!

Somewhere Upthere: The best part of the video is seeing how much YOU liked it. Great salon, great job!

Beez N Honey: This style is so NICE on you. The stylist and her hair care is fabulous

Serena Atkins: Thank you for this video. I don't get why the narrative is pushed that as soon as our hair is even slightly damaged, it must be chopped off.

Chantal Staples: I'm legit about to cry look at you in all your natural glory! Bless Soft Life's hands :)

Beryl Roberts: That looks so nice. I know that twists look good on every black women, no matter what hair type, or hair length we have.

peepla7: That's not breakage, that's shed hair.

MysticKueen: This was a wonderful video. She did a great job. If we could get those prices over here people would never leave the salons

Tiffany unique: I love it! ❤️ she did an amazing job Sunday blessings

Ezinne Erhirhie nee Ukaogo: 10k was worth it for a Nigerian in Nigeria With the personalised treatment Most salons just put AC to attract a huge charge. My hair sheds heavily after leaving the saloon

E Smith: This international content is everything to me! Yes!

Light HAIR CHANNEL 💡: It’s the thumbnail for me and the facial expressions at the beginning of this video❤️❤️❤️

theebeautequeen: The is just something about someone else washing my hair! The scalp massage ‍♀️ looks so good You look beautiful as always

Barbara Williams: Rest, is surely the hair stylist I need for my natural hair. She's definitely a hair stylist that cares for your hair.

Zee: Yes for real twists are so gentle on my hair. I wear wigs but I never braid my hair I do twists or flat twists so it’s never actually pulling my hairline or anything. I also notice flat twisting holds in moisture longer than hanging twists or cornrows would

ISHTAR: The salon I go to in the US would charge me $80. And this doesn’t even include wash and conditioning. She did a good job with your hair. She brought it back to life. That’s not good if the meds is causing that,

Sifonia Davis: I absolutely love it! It turned out beautiful ❤

A Person: Yeah you’re right. I can’t imagine paying 10,000 naira in Nigeria for braids when I’m being paid in Naira. Way cheaper if you earn in dollars

Alfonsina Kay: Wow wow! That hairstyle is gorgeous! Now I have to try it! And you are so funny with your descriptions. ❤️

T.K.: Your head could be shedding from stress of your move, medication, new environment, etc. Also… THANK YOU for explaining that even though the style may seem cheap to us it can be expensive to the locals.

Ayodele Olayimika: Rest was like "just spray. It won't take time, just spray". I'm too lazy to even spray Meanwhile, the style came out good. I should try it soon

tasha roberts: All I do is mini twist!! My hair has flourished!! Mini twist girl!! I finally found a salon in states!! ROOTZ MANCHESTER NEW HAMPSHIRE!!! And I got almost same style and she charge $40!!! Queen Shaq!!!

Henrietta Chiwetelu: The hair style really looks great on you! I wish Yellow Sisi would open a branch in Enugu! Heard so much about her salon.

Jamzyy: Beautiful, she did a great job!

Ybelys Urquia Fuentes: I love your personality and your way of being spontaneous thanks for existing

Nicky Sunshine: Your hair is Beautiful! She did a wonderful job ❤️

Twin Mom: She did an amazing job on you hair. Absolutely beautiful.

Maria Hardy: Wow, I've not ever seen 2 strand twist on just natural hair (no extensions). * $17, $17, $17* ????? OMG!! You can't even get a trim for that in the states!! Wow

Lamara Stone: I cannot wait until I visit/live (part time) in Nigeria. Hopefully in 2024!!!

Miss MoMo: She did a lovely job, and she was very pleasant. The style looks beautiful on you.

Vuyolwethu Rasi: Wow the hairstylist was so attentive and the hairstyle is so beautiful

Miss Nolver: You indeed need a protein treatment, to strengthen it. That's what I figured out in December 2018. My hair has grown from ear to armpit length in 4 years

Marneen Carter: This is the second Stylist that keeps telling you that your hair does not need a “trim?” Shedding IS natural; excessive shedding though, is sometimes an indicator that it needs “trimming?” The style is adorable. Get your ends trimmed Adanna!!

teahgurl: It looks soo pretty shiny and moist ✨ two strands are the best

precious spellman: I love your hairstyle sweetie!!! Your hairstyle did a marvelous ✨️ job!!!

Kay Alleyne-Meloney: Loved the look and your hair look really healthy

Deola: Adanna Happy Sunday. It’s been long I have watched your videos but your hair has GROWN so fast. Please share hair growth tips for the 4C girls. The hair style is on point.

Priscilla U: That's one benefit of living in Nigeria you can get people to do everything for you if you have small change

Sunkissed38 Queen: Man I need to go to Lagos twice a year and get my hair done! That’s dirt cheap yo!!!! You can’t even walk into a hair salon for $17 in America! lol smh

Nora Ventura: Happy Sunday adanna, your hair came out beautiful and by the way your face looked you had a good shampooing, that is the best part of getting my hair done , have a great day.

Jolanda Barnes: Love this style on you! I must find someone to try it for me.

Sha- 203: Sis you have beautiful hair and yes it's the pill your taking my husband is going through the same so I just wash condition hair moisture and do box braids and it's growing but the middle is still thin

Eddiy: Yellow sisi is really the GOAT when it comes to natural hair in Lagos( the whole of 9ja honestly) ❤️.

RaeBae Glam: This hair is EVERYTHING!

CMD: I love that style on you it looks really cute

M. Rose: Ooooooh, your hair got LOVED with that visit! Gorgeous!!!

Tasha Sharon: It's interesting that a man owns the hair salon any one I have been to in the UK has been female owned and run. I just never thought about it until I watch your video. Great video though esp for us girls that need to just let out hair be. No extensions or add on's just natural. Keep us posted!

sheilaw1983: I love this style. I think I'm gonna try it when I take out my current twists.

Johnsie Washington: Wow I love it!❤ I need a hairstylist like her
