Hey okay, so good morning, if i look very tired, it's because it's 6 a.m - and i just woke up - i am getting my hair braided today and my hair is not prepped, so we need to wash it. We need to moisturize it. We need to deep condition. So that my hair can be okay under my protective style, all right. So i have gloves on because i have nails on and they have like stud, beads and studs, and i don't want them to get stuck in my hair. Let'S get into pre-pooing aka detangling because i'm not going into the shower with my hair like this what's gon na end up happening is there's just gon na be hair all over my tub, and i don't want that. So we do it outside the top. So to pre-poo, i'm going with a fave, deeper curl, wash day, wonder and honestly it just works. It works so well, i'm just gon na let my hair! Oh, i just remembered i'm supposed to wet my hair. Let me see what my hair feels like. Okay, it's not the worst day! So, yes, you definitely want to wet your hair first, just because water is the ultimate moisturizer and it's going to soften up your hair. Then i go in with the detangler, and this is going to aid in detangling, my hair, so that it's just easier to provide slip and remove any knots. What you'll see here is me sectioning off my hair, i'm ultimately going to section it off into five sections. I'M going to take smaller sections and start detangling i'll finger. Detangle first then go in with the easy detangler brush and i'll continue doing this all throughout my hair, as i create five separate sections, so we're gon na add some water to really moisturize that hair and loosen it up, add a bit more product and then i'm Gon na start finger detangling. This is just gon na get any large knots out first and then i'm gon na go in with a brush and i'm gon na split my hair into a slightly smaller section. That way, i'm able to get through it with the brush. So i've rinsed out the pre-poo and now i'm gon na go in with my shampoo, it's from texture id and i'm essentially going to shampoo each section, and i, if you see i like to hold my hair and kind of pull it taut that way, i'm always Keeping it stretched and it doesn't re-tangle on itself, and this is essentially how i will go through and shampoo my hair, i didn't even realize i had shampoo at the back of my hair. Just imagine just imagine anyway, you get the gist, though so yeah. This is what i'm doing today, i'm also going to be doing an olaplex treatment. This is an at-home treatment and it's essentially a bond builder. It helps strengthen your hair and i've seen really great results using this about once a month. So after i shampoo and rinse out the pre-poo, i add the olaplex and i'm just going to add a bit to each section and work it in all right. So while i wait for the olaplex to kind of set into my hair, i'm going to leave it in for 10 minutes, because that's all the time i have made myself a little pre-workout smoothie. I work out in 30 minutes so, hopefully 802 i'll wash it out. Leave a deep conditioner in for another 10.. Should i work out with the deep conditioner in and then wash it out after? It all makes sense yeah. So just so you guys know you do have to rinse out the olaflex treatment and shampoo after because you don't want that sitting in your hair. So i'm doing a final shampoo just to get that olaplex out and then i'm going to deep condition to deep condition. I'M using tgin's, deep repair, hydration mask and i'm just gon na put this all throughout my hair and then go back in with the plastic bag, and i'm actually gon na go work out. The great thing about this is my body: heat will basically act as a steam for my deep conditioner as i work out, and once i'm done, i'm going to rinse out the deep conditioner in the shower. As you can see, i'm all done. My hair looks steamed and ready to be rinsed out in the shower once my hair was rinsed out, i'm following up with my moisture routine, so i'm going to go in with the leave-in, the masani miracle, milk and the tginn curl food. I love this moisturizer like if you want moisture for days, check this moisturizer out, okay and i'm still working in my five sections, as you can see spraying my leave-in on and then i'm just gon na follow up with the um moisture the moisturizer on each section. I'M going to braid my hair up into about a few, maybe six, to ten braids. This is how i stretch my hair and i prep my hair for a protective style. So tomorrow my hair is going to be a lot more stretched. If i do go in and she just needs to blow dry even more, she can, and beautiful thing is that my hair is already stretched. So all she's gon na really need is like two or three passes on a blow-dry with the blow dryer, and my hair should be fairly straight and ready to braid, so yeah. Also one thing i love about these braids. I also do these when i want to stretch my hair and then i can just have these in for about a day or two and then i take it out and then my hair is like a big afro and then i can style. However, i want - or i can just wear it as an afro like that so yeah um, that is my routine for prepping, my natural hair for protective styles. If you have any questions, leave them down below and thumbs up this video. If you want to see more natural hair content, i don't know if i can promise that, but we'll see and yeah i'll catch you guys in my next video you
