GOD BLESS AND THANKS FOR WATCHING

Hey you guys, okay, so um! You know I feel like I'm late, but what? Oh, my god, girl, hey, hey you guys! Okay! So recently I feel, like my hair had just been in shambles. I'M gon na explain anything nothing's necessarily wrong with my hair, but as some of you guys know, or most of you he's probably on Instagram, you should check out a handle here. You know I'm saying anyway, I went to the essence Fest and they were styling. My hair every day and my hair is just like what are you doing so if that means that my hair is disgusting right now, so I have on this mic says: what is this? I don't know anyways so so my room was almost done. I'M not fully done yet so, as you can see, you can get a little sneak peek of this setup back there. It'S just it's not ready. Yet my hair is the driest. If ever been this, what is going on so up for you guys, basically what I'm gon na do I'm gon na start off and do a pretreatment with this Plex defense treatment from Crewe in nature? I know some of y'all think that, like hello, I know some of y'all think that, like my sponsor post, I won't be tell the truth, but I really do actually love this product, so I'm gon na use this and put some type of you know bond protein Layers, what is this doing it? I don't even know I'm so close to the camera. I can't wait till my setup is done and ready, I'm just okay, whatever I'm just gon na put this in my hair, really quick and we're gon na read get our hair back together, because man man, this is not it so. Okay I'll be right back! So really quick. I just want to show you guys what is going on on this side of my hair. I just put the products all on this side, so this side is being treated right now, imma, let it sit in there for a little bit but y'all look at my air, it's just like not okay! This is what happens when you do your hair. Like four days in a row and then on the fifth and sixth day, you just leave it in a bun mm-hmm like I'm, not this lighting is horrible, and I'm not sitting here saying that my hair is damaged or anything like it. Just needs to be treated like I need some. I need a conditioning treatment. This pretreatment, I'm putting in my hair right now, should help a lot and I just wanted to show you what's going on and then on top of that, I'm just I know y'all. I know I know how girls summer I didn't send in the application on time. They didn't accept me, so I'm not in the hot girl summer program we gon na try for 2020. Okay, so you know, after further consideration might feel got ta see if I can make it to hot girl 2019. You know um see if they can squeeze me in yeah. I I didn't even set my lights up, cuz, I'm just lazy and it's like 11 p.m. I don't know why. I keep washing my hair at night, so I'm gon na just go ahead and wash my hair and then I'm gon na come back in deep condition. Ooh did I step on my camera or something this looks not cute. So yeah, I'm a talking to me um, deep conditioners. I want to try that out and my hair is already looking and feeling a lot better. We still have some work to do what the heck was that, but it's doing a lot better, so anyways I'll be back entire job, alright I'll be back alright. So I know y'all are thinking Jess. Why do you have that peasantry towel on your hair but girl? I know better than that so anyways now, I'm lucky, because I was really about to do this in the shower, because I'm tired, I don't know why I keep washing my hair at like one o'clock in the morning these days. It'S just it's a weird thing. I'M going through, oh, my hair needed vats anyways. So this is the leash strengthening protein Anish. I just can't read this: is the meat strengthening protein deep conditioner, I'm gon na spray, my hair with some water? Quick? Usually, I would do this in like eight sections, but I'm just I'm not in the mood I'm tired, I'm probably gon na see if I could do this in just four sections and may turn into eight still. I don't know I don't know, but this ain't about to be a full tutorial. I just want to see how well this protein conditioner that smells good. I want to take a whole bunch, I'll put it in my hair, because don't nobody got time for those small sections, I'm tired, ooh, nice. Oh my gosh, it's so like thick! Oh sorry, this sounds like something else happening. I don't even know how to explain it. It'S such a good consistency, so this is actually a very large section to be out here detangling, but you know we don't be real careful with it. No, no we're not! Okay! I always put that now. Let'S glue that now. Oh, that feels so good all right. So I'm gon na apply one more coat dress because I'm extra it doesn't really need it, but I would just do like a little bit and just apply it one more. Oh, my god, you guys this is great and because I'm super duper extra. I'M gon na put so much you're making black castor oil over it. There really is no need for this, because this product just does not feel like it needs anything else and I'm about to put in a protective style after I take this out. So I really need my hair to be moisturized because we're trying to have that style in for at least two weeks I'm really gon na. Try, though, then. Lastly, I'm gon na just twist it up like so there we have it alright, so I'm gon na do the rest of my hair off-camera and I don't know what I'm gon na do next, but we're gon na just go with the flow y'all see. I see this deep conditioner this deep conditioner is the truth. I don't know tell you it's just so good. We already know, I always say make sure you get them edges and I am going to put some Jamaican black, castor oil on my edges as well, because y'all know, but y'all know what happened to me, we're working on it, we're still working on it and now I'M not gon na live, it is one o'clock in the morning, so I and I usually don't do this, but I'm gon na sleep in my beep conditioner overnight. I really really don't usually do this, but I really cannot imagine washing my hair out right now and then like towel drying and then like styling. No, it's not doing it. You know what is this. I don't know, look look at one of the 12 disciples. I don't know, I don't know alright one asleep, and then I will see you guys in the morning, so you guys um it's it's Friday. Now um, I don't know how I let this happen. I washed my hair Tuesday night. I go around 11:00 at p.m. or whatever, and then I deep conditioned and I've said I was gon na sleep in overnight, but then another overnight came and then another overnight came and now here we are Friday. So this deep conditioner still in my head, I don't know what happens when you leave conditioner in your hair for this. Among of amount of time. I don't know I've heard that there's this thing called hi girl, hydro, hydro, whatever hydro, hydro, something something fatigue. It'S just like when you put too much moisture in your hair like moisture, overload or something that could be. What I have I don't know I don't know. I don't want to speak that over my life I know I said I wanted to make sure my hair was nice and moisturize and condition because I'm about to do a protective style, hi guys. I know I know you, but it's been a long three days. Just cancel me out: I'm cancelled anyways, so I wonder my hair to be nice and moisturized for this protective style, but nowhere along in that did, I mean let's deep conditioned for 72 hours at 56. I don't even know how long it's been that's. 60 hours. Okay, it's been in my hair for 60 hours, as you can see up, you can see, but it's still not all soaked up. I thought it would be like soaked up by now, but it's not still in there. Okay, whatever um I'm gon na wash this out. I'M either expecting my hair to be really really just like moisturized and like smooth or whatever, or my hair is going to be really weighed down and and disgusting, I'm not sure, hey, okay, I'm gon na answer that real, quick and see exactly what we're working with You know I really thought my curls are better be out here popping and I just looked at the frizz ball right now. I don't this, isn't normally what my I just. I don't know why I thought I'm okay, it's okay, though I mean okay. What are you looking at? What are you looking at? What are you looking at? It'S, okay, it's okay! I'M gon na just go ahead and moisturize my hair and put it in some twist. I just got I'm going to do a protective style, because at this point my hair is tired, and it's just like this leave me alone. There'S no need to leave conditioner in your hair, any longer really been 30 minutes, but it's okay, I'm not tripping. It doesn't feel it doesn't feel any different. It just looks different. You know, Wow Jess, you've fallen, you have fallen says. What is this all right? I'M leaving bye click over here cuz, you know, clickers you, a black wait, tell em make a stop. You out here. Chasing dreams because you know that they ain't in that gym,

Everliza A: Us black people always complain about results that products give us but we never follow the damn directions. That’s why! It will be okay sis❤️

kimmy d: Yea Hot Girl Summer University slammed the door in my face when they seen this 2 week old twist out & crocs

Philly Jawn_ Lolo: Hot girl summer denied me because I left in 3 strand twists for a month, and the middle of my head turned into dreadlocks ‍♀️

Taylor Yvette: Listen, I knew it was a bad idea when I saw protein treatment. Lol. I used a protein treatment in my hair one time and it broke off!!! I was like, what!!!” My hair isn’t a fan. Thank you for sharing this!!! You are hilarious and real!! Love it!!!

Khadeja: Girl! You are so hilarious and real. Love it!

Bossladykey: Girl when u said u like a disciple, I was thankful I was not driving, cause I was rolling so hard. . I love your personality

Luna Jones: I died laughing this whole video! You’re seriously one of my faves!

Jerrard McMillan: I'm still suffering 8 months later after using all protein products in my hair for a week. I've cut all of my hair 5 times and it won't go away. My hair will never be the same lmao

Shanequa Chase: Definitely my fav video of yours. The energy is unmatched

Shani Hicks: Anyone else protein sensitive, but still watching this anyway ‍♀️

Niki G: I didn’t think it looked so bad until the last shot when I involuntarily said “ah damn.” Stay strong girl!

Your Surgery Sister: Actually too much protien actually has the opposite effect on your hair and can. Ake it dry... Brittle and break. It's applied for strength so if your hairs already strong (when you snap a strand it stretches and then snaps. Weak hair will quickly snap with no elasticity) keep the treatments to once a month. And when applying it always rinse as directed and then moisturize right after and finish with a light sealing oil. My fav is imported expellor pressed graperseed and avacado oil. Also casteroil doesn't have as much of an effect on the strand. It's benefits are from how it stimulates hair growth. So always make sure you get it deep into that scalp. Zero shade. Was a hair stylist for over 20 years so I was hoping to help for those with questions.

Kenya Lynch: Legit my first YT comment EVER. You’re hilarious and hands-down one of my favorite natural hair YouTubers. Your videos are thoroughly entertaining. Just thought you should know. ❤️

Will B-K - Spiritual Renegade - POTENTIAL Guru: Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than anything I wanted to CRY with you when you first rinsed it out! I’ve done this (not for as long but) with deep conditioner, regular conditioner, Demi permanent colors, rinses, and protein treatments at one time or another. That mushy feeling goes away but your texture has definitely been altered... For the next couple months, keratin reconstructers (most aPHogee products or similar), dry oils, and products for thin/low density/fine hair are gonna be your staples. I know the last part sounds weird but those products usually have the highest concentration of thickening/strengthening ingredients. Also, ITS JUST HAIR AND ITLL GROW BACK NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. YOURE STILL GORGEOUS!! Bet ya won’t do that again tho. ‍♂️

A Marie Jenkins HisBeloved: Hi Jess, I am probably one of your oldest subscribers. I found your channel by accident and glad I did. I love your personality, your faith in the Lord and your hair advice. I have learned what to do with my transitioning hair and what not to do. Back in the day (probably long before you were born) I cut he relaxer out of my hair (now it's called big chop) and my hair was about 2 inches long and within a year's time it was over 12 inches. The only thing I did to my hair was shampoo and maybe condition it with whatever was available or on hand. Now I have so many products it is almost a shame. But I have found for now the only thing that is working for me is Creme of Nature products and various oils. I have low porosity type 4 hair. Stay as you are, keep focused and may the Lord bless you and keep you.

Bobbie Davis: LoL..Jess ❤️ you are so cute ❤️!! Love you and I'm so glad you were able to spare a few minutes for us!!

Maresha carrie: I keep my cholesterol treatment in my hair for days and my hair looks amazing

Ihtz Visionaria: Girl, love your vibes in this vid! Just had to subscribe keep up the good work.

Sunkissed Nae: I’ve done this before, never knew what exactly happened...I just knew it was because I left the conditioner in too long

Charline Charleston: She deserve more than this‼️‼️ gurl you deserve like 10 million subscribers

Linda W: Lort! I was cracking up at you... “what are you looking at?” Girl you good tho. I’m pretty sure you will bounce back fine. We here for you sis. Luvs ya

Jazzie Blue: Giiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrlll, I know the struggle lol. I love that you are showing just how much of a lazy natural you are even while producing videos, cause tbh, most us are lazy naturals watching you. Myself included. And I've went multiple days with conditioner in my hair. Regular bun in the day, green housing it at night lol didnt feel the best when rinsing out lol you good boo.

Dolla Mori: Siiiis I feel u one time I left my aloe vera preepoo for 2 days *weekends* n it staaaaaanked lol it was supposed to be there for 15 min but sometimes we don't feel like doing our hair and I tell my self this is better than snagging my hair with anger .....just to feel better lol

Aabbccddee: Listen sis was going through it, came back three more nails missing

Diane S: You definitely don’t want to leave a protein deep conditioner in your hair. I never leave my deep conditioners in over night. I usually leave it in 30 minutes to a couple of hours only because I start cleaning and the time gets away from me. I love the Miche deep conditioners. One is for moisture, the other protein.

Mixed Kidd: I used to wash and wet my hair and put leavein conditioner in it with a bag over it every week overnight, then style in the morning it really helped retain the moisture

Ozzhanetta Lee: If you left a protein treatment it will cause protein overload and make it break off. Moisture overload makes your hair limp and curl less.

Kelli Angel-Toney: I swear I say the same thing every time I wash my hair as well. I can never seem to do my hair during the day.

KasharaPerry: Your personality is everything ....it reminds me of me when I’m in the house alone !‍♀️, hilarious video .

izzibizzi123: If you want to detangle bigger sections easier while u do treatments or just in general, you should get a tangle teaser. They’re awesome

Aniexo: Aphogee two step protein treatment will bounce your curls back. The one you have to blow dry.

꧁𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓽𝔂 ̊ೃ𝓜𝓸𝓸𝓷• ੭꧂: I leave my treatment in for half a day. It does WONDERS for my natural hair. Leaving treatment in my hair for any longer than 12 hours gives me headaches . I air dry, which leaves it thick and puffed out .

JustChelles: I laughed so hard, like sis wait a minute. Let’s celebrate your beautiful skin...your hot girl summer application has been approved

Esther Ayodele: lil tip try the aztec clay mask it help balance the amount a moisture and protein you need in your hair

Izii: i mean ok you're used to have your curls popping but your hair looks good with undefined curls as well, it's just a representation of the variety of textures our hair can have. it's not horrible. no shade but in the natural hair community we're so used to the seek of curl definition that we happen to hate the state where our hair isn't curly. and that's messed up. your hair looked good.

Mimi Is Mighty Incredible: You are hilarious and had me weak throughout this whole video. I can't with you lol.

Rebeca: I once did a hair mask with avocado in it and then I slept in it and I was going to wash it out in the morning but I got sick so I left it in for like 3 or 4 days and the avocado rotted in my hair

Crisleidy De Leon: My hair needs some therapy just like you and treah my wash day has been prolonged for 3 days

Gerlyurd: as a cosmetologist i’d have recommended you to leave the treatment in for no longer than 30 min (max) since after that period of time the product stops working and it’s just gross leave it in the hair for longer than that because you are just creating build up on your scalp so now you have to wash your hair with strong shampoos so you can wash off all the dirt

Alexus Mckelvie: I learned too much protein makes the hair “harder” if that makes sense if you do a full moisturizing deep condition after no protein aka “strengthening “ deep conditioners that’ll snap it back for you. Girlll the same thing happened to me I was frizzball chic for like a week !!

A Kendzi: This girl is hilarious! Love her!

Called Qualified & Justified: P.S.A. Chemicals are dangerous, if a label says "Rinse after 30 mins" , Rinse it OUT!!! Or The process or reaction will keep happening. It's like baking something and taking it out of the oven , but sitting it on top of the oven and leaving the oven on....IT WILL KEEP COOKING?

Alesha G: Jesssssssssss why are you so funnyyyyyyy. I was absolutely weak!!!! Glad you're still in good spirits after all that haha

coily niq: you are hilarious i love youuu . everything is gonna be okay

Jas: Oh no.. the hygral fatigue I was hoping when I read the title about the 3 days that it was left in without being covered, like using the conditioner as a leave in.. but as soon as you said overnight (which is still too long for hairs of higher porosity) I knew It's okay girl, I've been there before >< Worst case is just that you'll need a trim sooner than you thought.

shar: Over keratinizing the hair is the worst it will make it feel like hayyy

Shay G: Finally getting to catch up on your videos!! and Jess what in the world! Lol... thanks for sharing girl, you crack me up!! When you said “I’m leaving” and the video actually cuts!!

JoDammerung II: Girl I'm not disappointed, I'm impressed. If I leave a dc 3 hours too long my head is on fire. 3 days? Witchcraft.

Stormy Calvelli: I'm thinking that maybe the protein did that. When you leave protein in your hair too long it can cause damage. I know the protein treatments I have say to rinse is well. Same thing can happen with certain keratin treatments too. So if the mask was just moisturizing like a coconut mask or something it would have been a different outcome.

JaiC Bacote: Giiiirl, those were 3 very hard days for you you lost some nails and moisture! I can honestly relate It be like that sometimes #NoJudgement

Rebekah Jackson: It kinda just relaxes your curls. Once I accidentally fell asleep with deep conditioner in my hair and that's what happened to me.... Limp curls

Justin McCurdy: Never leave deep conditioner hair masks in hair longer then 24 hours maximum. No more then once a week if you leave it in that long. And make sure it doesnt have protein, keratin, bonding in it. Protein, keratin, Reconstructing, rebuilding, and bonding treatments should only be left in hair for 20-30 mins

Kelli Bryant: Kimberly Cherell had the same problem once and she did a protein treatment to help rebalance her hair, that might help?

Ebony Richards: brave for leaving a PROTEIN treatment for so long, too much protein may cause your hair to be dry and brittle. its good to get one in a while but not too much.

Gege Leniece: Sis... was this a hair video or a comedy routine you had me in tears. I love this tho! I feel like every natural has to make this mistake at least once lol

T.: Too much protein can actually make your hair very brittle. Be careful when using protein conditioners & treatments.

Britney: I love how real u are

makeuploveculture: You may know by now but too much protein will actually damage your hair. So leaving in that long may have made it feel worse.

M: Too much protein in your hair can cause dryness, breakage, and frizz. That’s why most hair masks say to only use them once a week at most. Hope this helps

HarajukuBlossom: Have you tried Uberliss ? It’s a bond regenerator and it’s been great for my color-treated curls !! I’ve used birth the white Bond regenerator and their pastel colors! :)

Shari Kayleen: This is the first video of yours that I caught and just have to say you are so beautiful! Your skin is on point!!!

Eunice Owusu Appea: Who notice the camera quality difference

shanique joe: Be careful leaving your hair wet that long you can grow mold

Angel Powers: Try the Aztec clay mask that should probably help

cassie johnson: OMG u always have me cracking up!!! I love ur videos!!!

Vanita Nicolas: Depending on the conditioner use a heat cap.

CAYFRESH: Listen, it beessss like that sometimes! You have to mentally prepare yourself to wash, condition and style your hair. I should have a wash and go party, lol
