Hey everyone and welcome back to the beauty is show. My name is crystal Garrett of BI salon.com and in this video, your watches, I help you bridge the gap between professional and non-professional hair care products. Make sure that you watch the entire video to see how I cocktail a variety of products to use on my client who has 3c hair. The first thing that I do with any of my clients is examine the scalp, and then I take them over to the shampoo bowl and rinse the hair, with hot water to loosen up products, oil and any type of build up that may be on the hair Or scalp, once I've completed rinsing the hair you'll notice that I'll go in with two shampoos. The first shampoo is going to be a clarifying shampoo. This is the Red King cleansing cream, and this shampoo just works to remove copper, hard water, stains, minerals and any type of styling product build-up. That is on the hair. Next I'll make sure I rinse the hair thoroughly and go back in with my second shampoo and we shampoo the hair twice, because the first shampoo just gets rid of the superficial goop. That is on the scalp or on the hair and then the second chef who actually cleanses the hair and scalp. So my second shampoo is the red. Can all soft shampoo? This shampoo is great for moisture for dry, brittle hair and it is infused with argan oil. So after I rinse my second shampoo out, I go in with my conditioner and, as you can see, I need with the conditioner, and this again is the retconned, all soft conditioner, which is infused with argon oil, and I make sure that I rinse that perfectly with Cool water, so that the hair can maintain the moisture at this time, I'm going in to add my Redken one United 25 benefit lightweight formula product and it's great for protection from breakage heat protection, and it also increases manageability and just for a second layer of protection. I'Ve gone in with the Tresemme heat protection spray to protect the hair against heat tools such as my blow dryer and Flatiron. Both of these products cocktail together just helped me in the detangling process. As you can see, I'm using my Denman brush. I am starting at the ends and just working my way up to detangle the hair before I go in and blow-dry the hair. So first things. First, I blow dry the scalp area to make sure that the scalp is dry and then I take my paddle brush and continue to blow-dry the hair until all of the hair is dried. So I section each section over here as I blow-dry just before I go into flat out of the hair. So at this point you can see that I'm sectioning the hair using various thin slices. As I use my comb over iron method, my client wears a ponytail a lot, so she has a lot of breakage right here in this area and that's just from wearing a ponytail a lot. So all of you, people who wear ponytails! Beware that you are breaking your hair off, so I'll work all the way around the head with my Flatiron. Until I am finished, then you can see she's looking a little raggedy here, so we're gon na go ahead and clean her up and as I make my my first cut here, you'll see how much better than hair is living after after we start the trim right Now I'm working on the perimeter and then I'll go throughout the entire head, just to make sure that we have good clean ends all the way through them, so trimming your ends should definitely be a part of your regular maintenance system, and that just helps to keep Your hair, strong and healthy, so again, we'll just watch, is I'll work. My way, all the way through the hair, just trimming the ends, and you can see I'm just following the head all the way around working. My guideline so just like with most people who are here in the front and on the sides, is a little bit shorter than the hair along the back over here. So I just go in and trim and kind of make a blue guideline just to make sure the good connects to the rest of the hair so that I don't have to give her a brand new cut. We could just trim everything you make it all blend in together. So that's exactly what I'm doing here: okay, I'm just working over one hand following my guideline, just making sure that I get all of those nasty ends from all inside of the hair, as well as around the perimeter. So at this point, I'm just going again making sure that everything blends perfectly. If there are any tags, then I will cut the tags, but for the most part everything should be nice, and even so you can see how smooth her hair is using very minimum product. Again, we just use the Redken one United and the Tresemme heat protection, spray and vult ability in our design to help protect against heat damage and against any manipulation that is done with brushes and blow dryers and flat research. So now I just go in and just add a little bit of body to her hair. We will just take and wrap this afterwards so that she can keep her body, but still have a nice easy hairstyle to wear for the rest of the week. So I'll just take about one inch to one and a half inch sections and run my flat iron hair, twisting it with my wrist to give it a curling motion. See again, I just worked my way around the head using vertical parts to section the hair as I've taken section horizontally, using one to one and a half inch sections Deker the hand. So this is one of my favorite methods to use in order to give lots of body to the hair you so I'll. Take my paddle brush and brush the hair all the way out to brush most of the curl out in this winter, with the nice loose wave pattern, and this body will last her throughout the entire week or two until she comes back to the salon. So now we have the comparison you see the before and after and even though her curl pattern is beautiful, sometimes she likes to quit her hair straight and at that time we just wanted to go in and make sure that we do cleansing.
