♥ Thanks for trusting me

So Finally I discovered how to tone my horrible brassy hair and wanted to share that with you all! I am not a professional yet this worked well with me so I decided to spread the word.

So basically using blue-black hair dye with shampoo tones the hair but be careful not to darken the hair by washing it quickly when you see the level of ashiness you like.

So there was a secret that I've discovered and I don't know why. No one talks about that. Let me break down for you how to kill the brass. So you see there are three degrees of brassiness, yellow, usually the most common. That'S why you will find in all drug stores and things purple shampoos and purple conditioners and purple dyes in order to tone down the yellow, brassy tones. But that's not the case all the time. Sometimes it is orange and then they told you that orange is killed by blue. Well, that's harder to become more and more popular as more and more people try to get like darker blonde ashy colors without bleaching their hair too much or too abrasive Lee. So what happens in that case is that you would use the color wheel, and I didn't know that in the beginning - and I had to make a lot of mistakes with the purple shampoos. You'Ve got me until I've realized that no, it's not the purple shampoo that could help you, but basically the blue ones or conditioners, but that's the thing they only kill oranjee tones. If you want to kill reddish orange, for example, you will get a more turquoise color. If you want to kill true red color, you would get more of a green tone color, so it depends on where you stand, which color will suit you, how to do it without damage. You either put a 20 volume developer on top of a hair color. For these - and I used to usually use Manic, Panic again adds to the damage every now and then - and you would be repeating this several times because with many washes, that's gon na happen where they mix this with conditioner. And then I've tried that and it worked beautifully. However, the problem with this was it stayed for way less than when you use the volume. So I was back in Egypt for a while, and I was there. I went to a salon to quickly get my hair toned and I told them my problem, so the guys told me no, we do something called Ren Sarge and I wasn't sure what Rin Sasha is. It'S like a French word or something it's basically color attitude, shampoo and that's it, but I didn't know what color was it as well. So what is the alternative? What is the big secret? What is the reveal that I have this video for blue black dye yeah? I know cries a but for me, the blue black dye, you guys this is oh, my god revolutionizing, because the blue - and this, if you don't use a lot of this, will tone down any hair that you want to get ashy. You can buy any blue black hair dye, anyone works and you mix this with a shampoo of your choice. Any shampoo work you put as you can see. This is like a spit of the cream of the dye. We just put very little you're gon na put an equal amount of the liquid volume thing to shake that, but this is what you end up using from the dye. That'S it then lather this up with shampoo and makes it. I have filled this with shampoo, I'm gon na mix all of this, and then I'm going to apply to my hair completely. Don'T take long with this on your hair, wash it right away. So I'm gon na put it on my hair and wash it and that's it my hair, I don't know if you can see or not started to show brassiness it's not very strong, but that's what I do every time. I start to check some brassy highlights shown and yeah. That'S the secret. Tell me down below how long have you spent from your life, not knowing how to treat this problem and, honestly speaking, this is life-changing for everybody. Every person I tell them, it's very cheap. The box dye is really really cheap, really available worldwide. You can get it and do this every and anywhere. Thank you. Welcome I'll see you in my next video, and I hope you guys enjoyed those quickie videos that I make now, which is like very short, and I just give you tips if you like that, like come down below, tell me like how awesome this is I'll see You in my next video all right, you

Angie: ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS: - the recipe in details: Get a blue black box hair dye, use a table spoon of the dye mix (paste and liquid) add to it 3 table spoons of shampoo (white or transparent regular shampoo) mix then add a tea spoon of water. Keep mixing and apply it to dry hair in a good light source to see it until it reaches a shade you like then wash it right away. Note that sulphate free shampoos and such don’t work. - wet or dry hair? I tried it on both but wet hair tends to look darker so it’s hard to know when to wash it off. Also anything you do to wet hair is more damaging as the hair follicle is open so you can’t comb the color through to get even results.

Deizha Banks: This comment might help someone. I had bleached highlights throughout my whole head, ranging from orange, yellow, and then banana yellow right around my face. I used this method kinda, but with a twist. I wanted to tone all 3 colors in my hair without messing this up, so here’s what I came up with. First, I mixed together my blue-black box dye (the color+the developer) (I used Revlon natural blue-black dye) , then I literally squirted out a tablespoon of it into a mixing bowl. To that, I added 1 1/2 cups of conditioner and a tablespoon of water. *optional* I added the tiniest dab of manic panic Violet to the mixture to help with my really blonde parts. (I decided to dilute the hell out of the blue box dye w/conditioner because I was taking noo chances lol. Plus, I had a whole head to tone, not just the ends of my hair...) I applied to dry hair with my hands very quickly starting with the darkest parts first, then did the banana yellow parts last. I kept an eye on it and ended up washing it out after 4 min. It really worked and I was def surprised. It gave my banana yellow a perfect ash blonde with the slightest undertone of grey. It cooled down the brassiness of the yellow and orange too. No complaints!

Hair is geormetry: This is one our old school stylists tricks. Back in the day we actually had to make our own color, meaning the weren’t pre calibrated like they are today. So when we would tone, we would put a dab of black in our formula and POW ! Perfect platinum. It’s a great method, thanks for reminding me!

Liz C: Just tried (almost) this. I used 4C on hair that is between 7 and 9 throughout the length with lots of orange and yellow, and worked really beautifully. So, yes, THANK YOU! Genius! Much better than all toners, masks and shampoos I've tried so far. Hair feels soft also, no extra damage. Used on wet hair for faster easier application.

Andy Salt: THANK YOU ANGIE! At 65, I decided it was time to go blonde so I had my hair bleached and some parts of my hair (not the roots) came out orange. I was going to have it lightened again in a couple of weeks but found this video and thought I'd give it a try. I was VERY nervous and put it off for days. I'm so glad I plucked up the courage. I followed the directions and most of the orange is gone and I'm mostly left with a nice ashy blonde. Just a little orange tinge remains on the ends of my hair but I'm confident that another session will do the trick. If I'd used a bit more of the dye solution as instructed for orange hair, it probably would have been done and dusted in one session but I wanted to tread carefully. This is such a great trick and I'm very grateful that you shared it.

la metta: OMG, this is amazing! I have at home some professional hair colours/toners and a developer, but was using way more of it than I needed. This secret saves your time, hair and money - I love it! Thank you for sharing

Zsu_the_nth: I cannot thank you enough. OMG, m hair is exactly how I wanted it!!! I have dark brown hair with balayaged dark blond ends, and I always wanted the ends to be near grey. I left the shampoo mix on it for 5 to 6 minutes, and the result is stunning! Very ashy, but just with color enough to be called brown! Amazing! My saviour :)

Googlemom1863: I just did this after watching this last night ... it worked!!! I’ve always fought brassiness and never can fight it properly! It actually turned my highlights the exact shade I’ve always wanted a very ashy-grayish with no brass and it blends with my natural silver strands! That’s what I’ve been striving for THANK YOU!!!!

Amulya Roseline: Thank you so much for this video. My hair turned out same as I get it toned from the salon. This is amazing ❤️❤️

Jamie Bowden: Hi hey girl I just want to say you're a genius! I've tried EVERYTHING imaginable to tone my red and orange brassy hair! I just happened upon your video while endlessly searching for a solution that works - it worked!! it is incredible - how in the world did you figure it out! Like you said, it's revolutionary - I cannot believe more people are not talking about it. Well, anyway, just wanted to say thank you. You're the best!

Marija Kozika: This is the best advice I've ever seen! So quick and easy...who would have thought! Worked for me from the first time and I'm amazed. Might need to add some violet pigment, for my hair was not only brassy, but also a bit green-ish. But overall result is awesome! Thanks a lot!

Shakirah Sing: This really worked well on my hair. I did it twice. First time on dry hair and waited 2 minutes but there wasn't that much of a change so I did it the second time on wet hair staight after for 5 minutes. Orange and red completely gone. Thank you

Beverly Creamer: You make more sense than anyone on this topic. Tired of wasting my time and money on toners, etc. You just have to use your head with this. Depends on how thick and long your hair is, plus how brassy it is! Just use a little and for a very short time to start, and work your way up. Thank you!!!

Annika Hartman: Thank you! This saved me from having to go to work with yellow/orange hair. I bought the blue/black dye and used the same amount as in the video and mixed with conditioner. Applied on dry hair and left it on for about 5 minutes before rinsing it out. It toned down all the brassiness, love my colour now!

Alivia Hegarty: This is the first video on YouTube I’ve commented on in 15 years. Only to say THIS VIDEO IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. I did just as directed but I did mine 2 min after I did a test strip because I had a lot of Orange. But now my hair is a beautiful ash brown blonde. THANK YOU SO MUCH

No name: Thank you! This works! If you’re thinking about trying it. DO IT! You won’t regret it. Turned my hair from orange to honey blonde. The color I was going for.

Kaja Gabrijel: For all those blondes out there who have brassy yellow blonde hair I would recommend the same technique just use medium brown hair dye - but the dye must include purple undertone. After you apply it rinse it out right away and you will be left with beautiful cool blonde.

Mãdãlina Scrob: This did wonders for my brassy hair. Looks great now. Thank you soooo much!

Stephanie Flowers: I have blonde& platinum highlights over dirty blonde natural hair. I tried this and it WORKS!! one thing she doesn’t mention is that you need to leave the color to develop fully before applying. I sectioned my hair, started my timer after my hair was fully covered and saturated. 1min 30 seconds before I rinsed. Amazing results!! Helped blend my roots too! Left my hair so soft and healthy feeling. Used L’Oréal dream lengths shampoo. I used 1 teaspoon of each in about 1/2 cup of shampoo.

V Kay: THIS WORKS! THANK YOU ANGIE ANGEL! Greetings from Australia. Hope you, everyone and their loved ones are keeping safe and as well as can be over this Covid-19 period. I follow your clear instructions like you say in your video. I wear gloves to avoid finger staining. I am so happy with the Ash Tone results I get every time I do this process. After drying my hair it looks like... WOW! That's the best word to describe it. Thanks to you Angie for sharing "the secret" and enlightening me and anyone else who is fortunate enough to come by your video. xo

TL GALLOWAY: Thank you for sharing this secret. Gotta say yep, it certainly changed my hair knowledge forever! Followed your instructions and my hair looks amazing. Sending a big hug!! Thanks again.

Jana Mack: I cant believe how well this worked. This is such a easy fix, I wish had seen this video years ago.

Elena K: Watched this like 5 times thinking no way.. went for it and it worked so so well. I have balayage that was slightly brassy now its back to salon quality just with this trick. Thanks for the hack, anyone watching that thinks its BS don't hesitate just try it and trust. But wash out almost as soon as its in your hair! :D

Sabine West: It would be so much fun if you showed before and after shots!

c sw: I watch alot of Youtube and this is the best advice I have gotten. I used it for grey-blending. Since I have been going grey, I have tried different levels of blonde and they always turn brassy quickly. You do have to be super super careful. I did a tes strand first. Then mixed a dime size of each bottle of the Colorsilk Blue Black and about 2-3Tblsp of shampoo and started at the scalp, then used water to mix it into the rest of my short hair, waited about 5 min, then washed out and I get a light chocolate color with greys looking like highlights. Easy, cheap, fast. Works for now at 46 yrs old.

Oldtown Burke: Just tried this. My hair is naturally a 7 Dark Blond and I lighten it to 8 Medium Blond. It always picks up brassy tones and I have tried everything. I mixed this and poured it on my wet hair. I shampooed for about 1 minute and washed it all out. When I dried my hair it was very shiny and most of the brass tones were gone. I probably should have left it on a bit longer but was not so brave my first time. It did not make my hair darker. It just made it more a medium ash blond which is what I want. Thank you Angie! So clever!

Arelys Perez: I tried this today!! And let me tell you, This really helped to cancel out the orange hair and brasiness, thank you so much

witchdsco: IT WORKED!!!! My hair went from ghetto to high street thanks to this method. But be careful! don't take to much of the dye and developer. Follow what she says in the comments. No more expensive toning that only lasts 3 weeks! This is revolutionary! Thank you Angie!

Payton McGowen: Holy crap this actually worked on my busted mess that I decided to bleach during quarantine. I was worried because this wasn't really a process video but I went for it anyways because it's cheap and I figured I could dye over it if it didn't turn out. So that you can understand where I was at - my hair was a CARROT orange all over. It's now a perfect blonde. The only thing was I had to do my roots a few times for some reason but I did it out of the shower and in my kitchen sink so that I could watch the progress. The box dye I used was nutrisse indigo I bought at Target. Thank you!!

Christina Reeb: I have dark blonde hair with bright blonde highlights and this trick 100% worked for me! It was extremely messy though and I stained my bathroom paint so make sure to prep your area really well before you start! Thanks so much ❤️

Kelly Melanson: This worked great! I have long dark brown hair that has been highlighted, bleached, dyed red, and toned a ton of times over the last few years. Now I am growing my grey hair out and as it grows in you can see the cool dark brown of my natural color. The brassy orange of my formally dyed hair was driving me nuts. So I followed this video, purchased a "Black Indigo" dye and a sulfate free shampoo (the brand she shows in the video) just at the drugstore. I used about three(mainly because my hair was dark orange red and long) dollops/swipes like she shows of the color and then three dollops of the developer, mixed in about 2/3 cup of shampoo. I started on my ends because they bothered me the most, then worked my way up. This way was great because I didn't have to cover my natural color at the top. I had my phone stopwatch going and made sure to wash it out before it hit the 2 minute mark (1:44). I rinsed out with cool water and then applied the conditioner that came with the dye. I let that sit for 2-3 minutes and then rinsed and air dried. It's perfect. I was prepared for a big oops that would lead to black hair, but no. It's a lovely dark ash/mushroom brown that resembles my natural cool tone brown hair. I will maintain it with blue conditioner and saved the rest of the box for the next touch up. Thank you so much!!!!

AM H: This actually works very well !! Although I’m darkblonde and turned orange , luckely only at the roots, after I used a blonde 8.0 dye. I couldn’t find the 909 so I bought 101 perfect gloss which is a non permanent coloring and used that instead following the procedure you discriped and it turned out PERFECTLY!! I’m really happy with my haircolor now, beige blonde !!! Thanks so much for sharing this secret tip !!!

couchtomato: Everybody, this works!! Remember to double or triple the amount of the dyes whether you're toning orange or red tones respectively. The first time, it only half worked for me with some spots which stayed orange... That was because I didn't use enough dye!

Miranda Hernandez: Just discovered you channel! Love how genuine and to the point your videos are!

Zeynope: Thank you for posting this Angie! This saved my hair! I went from pumpkin orange to a dark blonde with gold undertones (I plan to do this one more time). After I left the dye-developer-shampoo mixture to develop it turned into a navy blue. I was hesitant to use it but I’m glad I did. I left it in my hair for two minutes and rinsed it out. Now my hair looks a lot more natural :) for the record: I have very thick shoulder length hair that’s naturally dark brown.

cindy hetzel: This really works everyone!! I had a lot of orange and yellow from at home bleaching and this toned it great!! Yay! Thanks for this tip ♥️

Ujala Zafar: I had a lot of color in my hair. So I bleached them to take all the color out. With L’Oréal permanent treatment no 5AB mocha ash brown my tones did come orangey red. And I wanted it to go away. This was amazing! The technique worked beautifully to take out all the brassy red color and left my hair beautiful ash brown ♥️♥️♥️ Thankyou so much for sharing!

Mary K: Love you Angie THANK YOU! I made too much and I noticed how the mix turned deep purple and I was like; omgggg it’s basically homemade purple shampoo but soooo much more effective. I have tried several brands and I have the Fudge brunette blue shampoo now, but nothing compares to this. The longer it is left on, the darker your hair will get but I like it more than the brassy mess. But it lasts like 2 weeks for me, and then I have to do this again - what about you guys? How long does it last for you? Maybe its shampoo and dye brands idk

J Azar: Just used this the other day and just wanted to thank you so much for this secret. It worked with the shampoo, I did it a few times because I was too scared to leave it on too long , but it worked like magic and my stylist thinks I had it toned at a different place, that’s how great this worked!

Ann Casas: I just tried this and it works!!! I applied mine on wet hair and just used my hands to rub it in and left it on for 3 minutes. It’s been able to kill the brasiness of my hair. Love this tip!!!

lynn hughston: I have been Colouring My Hair Since I was 13. I’m now 58 & “A Big Shout Out To Angie”. Thank You FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS ,”ANGIE TAUGHT ME SOMETHING MY HAIR NEEDED ! Lynn H.

Susan Weiss: This did work to tone my brassy hair but my ends grabbed a bit of the darker black/blue olor after leaving it on for only two minutes. The roots to mid-section look pretty good. So maybe to be safe try just a one minute total on ends first.

F R A N C E S C A ⚡⚡ #KISSArmy #TeamGENE: OMG Angie, I'm so glad I decided to give this a try. Worked like magic on my waist-length stubborn brassy hair in under 2 minutes. I used Wella Koleston 2/8 + some random color developer I had at home, and now I have perfect cool blonde hair. This is a life-changing tip! Thank you so so much!

Lindok Mohammed: This video has saved my life!! Really!! I used it today it worked like magic! Thanks Angie

SISSY 85: It works! Thank you so much Angie!! Nothing helped to get the orange tone removed from my hair (blueshampoo etc.) but this method gave the perfect result! You made my day!

Danielle Ji: WOOOOOOOWWWWW! How didn't I know about this!! The number of times I have had orange/brassy hair from either toner washing out or bleaching/dying gone wrong etc over my life and either spent hundreds to fix or just gone back to brunette! This works so well! For me, I could have left it in a little longer, it appeared ashy but when rinsed out wasn't as ashy as I thought, so will redo it in a few days. But my hair is saved and nearly the perfect colour! I have super thick hair so I had to add a fair bit more water/shampoo to the mix to cover my whole head, but I didn't add more dye. Next time I will to keep it in ratio or I will apply on to towel dried hair - Just playing it safe for the first try. I may also try using conditioner instead of shampoo as my hair is quite dry. Thanks for sharing this amazing secret!

Anna Pennington: I love this so much!!! I always watch you when I tone my hair

sidekickdumpling: I've tried this with Garnier's blue black hair dye on my level 6-8 asian bleached hair 3 times now and it looks soo good!. I left it in a bit longer than usual the last time and it came out almost grey in the lighter areas and ashy brown elsewhere and just soo nice. My only gripe is it doesn't last super long on the more orange areas but its easy to do and I dont wash my hair very often (2-3x/week) so it helps prolong the toning. Highly recommend everyone try it out!!

Stephanie Perez: I tried this today and omg so easy and my hair turned out absolutely beautiful!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

nic bea: I did try this tonight and it does get rid of the brassiness. You just have to be careful not to put too much of the dye when mixing with the shampoo. If you do that you will see green blueish tone. This works better then blue shampoo. Also I tried it on a strip before doing it all over. Once when you put it on wash it out immediately cause it turns the brassiness down fast.

Anita: THIS!!! I tried almost everything. Purple shampoo, blue shampoo.. but still warm/orange tones. I put the same amount you shown in my conditioner and left for 2-3 minutes. The results were amazing! FINALLY something that really works. Thanks

Rita Snow: Angie!! Thank you so so so much! You are brilliant!! I have been trying for 42 years to get this shade!! you are awesome! Spent thousands... now less than $5 and so many applications! Brilliant!

r786: I did this and it actually works!! Thankyou so much, my hair looks amazing now

Joe n Jeana Lockwood: I've had brassy problems for YEARS! This really works!!!

MJ Plate: I did this today. Had my hair professionally done in February and was in need of toning. My hair was getting very orangey. My hair is naturally dark black. I left it on longer than recommended though and repeated the process because the first time I left it for only a 1:30 mins and needed more. It cost me €7 vs €50 (what I usually pay for toning at the salon). Great alternative for temporary upkeep. I'll still go to the salon for professional service when I need a major touch up. Thank you so much for this video my hair is acceptable again.

Felicia Bella: Oh my God! Tried it yesterday and i must say... it WORKED so amazing! You saved my 200$ money for a stylist. Thank sou, Angie!!!!❤️

a b: Thank you, this works like a charm! I had henna in my hair and tried to remove it via bleaching. Needless to say, I was in trouble. This technique helped a lot! The best results I had by mixing it with baby shampoo, the higher ph level helps to open the hair shaft I suppose...

Kristin Y: It worked!!! I fixed my own hair! Thank you! FYI my hair is light brown. I had dyed it light ash brown but it turned very brassy orange. I tried this with the blue black dye as instructed with a sulfate shampoo in dry hair for about three minutes. It took some brass out. The next night I used the same combination but left it on about six minutes and the two rounds really killed the brass! Do not mix developer with dye color until you mix it with the sulfate shampoo. From what I’ve read if you do not mix dye with developer, it lasts a while so I am saving it for another treatment if I start to get brassy in a few weeks. I was terrified to do this and watched this video about 100 times before I did it but so glad I did. I would be afraid if I were a blonde, but for brown hair or darker I think this will work. Good luck girls!

Saundra B: I did the old quarantine bleach job and became light orange. I’ve suffered for 3 weeks and put way too many other products on my hair. I tried toner and ash blonde hair color. I ordered Olaplex from Amazon and applied it for two hours to repair my hair. It worked too. I finally found this video on Friday and thank heaven above! I used Revlon Colorsilk with no ammonia Blue Black mixed with conditioner. Be very careful on how long you leave it on. Mine was about 1 minute 30 seconds. If you have long hair I would advise doing it in two stages so you don’t over color and make it too dark. Thank you so much to Angie for this! I know that hairstylists have done this in the past without telling me! It works so well!

Jo Alba: Hi just want to ask if ever I already did this process. Is it okay to bleach my hair again and if bleaching my hair again is possible for how long (days or weeks) should I wait? By the way, Thank you so much for the information <3 The color wheel concept really helped me understand the process behind toning :)

Paradise Awaits: Angie, thanks for sharing. I heard about this tip from somewhere years ago. I had meant to try it but for some reason I kept forgetting about it. Thanks for the reminder. Love your quick and easy video.

Lilly._.: Hi Angie- Great tip- can’t wait to try! Can I ask why you have to mix it with shampoo vs. just dying it with the blue black hair color? (I want to be sure it stays permanently). Ty!

Anastasia Natasa: Oh my god it works I bleached my natural brown hair and it came out of course orange. I toned them two times with normal toners and nothing happened except waste of money. I was about to book an appointment to my salon or try bleach them again in order to have a more lifted level but thankfully I tried this. It is not perfect but I am not ashamed to go out I used a bit of the dye with the developer it comes with it but also added some with 6vol I had, some conditioner and some of purple shampoo and I left it about two minutes. Thanks

Andrea Sanchez: Thank god I found you. I have jet black hair to go blonde is a struggle and I’ve tried everything and nothing really worked. And I didn’t want to damage my hair too much either. And let me tell you I hope u can see this because u saved my hair. Thank u so much for sharing ❤️

Andrea Anthony: Blonde here. Took the plunge and tried it. IT WORKS!! How well it works depends on how much bleached hair you have and how long you leave it on your bleached bits. It DOES darken bleached blonde, so you gotta rinse out after 2-3 minutes! I bought a $2.50 box of Revlon Blue Black dye, I mix up a spoonful of dye, then mix that with my shampoo. My hair is waist-length, I cake quite a lot of it on my roots, and lather downward. My hair was bleached but it's halfway grown out. So I don't lather it much on my bleached ends. My hair was a brassy mess from dying it light blonde for years. I'd been toning with violet Punky hair dye without ever getting the ashy hair color I wanted. The black hair dye gets that result! Currently I'm toning with a scoop of Blue/Black, scoop of violet Punky, and a drop of ION Blue Ash intensifier. This mix creates perfect dark Ash Blonde/ light Ash Brown, costs pennies, and is super gentle on my long thin hair. Cheap Easy Secret was Right. You Rock Angie!!

Bassant Atfy: Hello Angie, I am from Egypt and I've never known the secret behind the rensage! I've paid a lot to change my brassy hair color at salons and never noticed their secret! Thank you soooo much..will try it ,hope it works with me!

Love Brenda: It works!!!! I did it this morning and the horrible orange is gone! But you were right, I left it in for about 2 minutes and it was TOO long!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

Barbara Boswell: have watched your video and have been doing it for almost a year i think. I am 65, going grey, want the grey to come out and this receipe really is great. It takes all the brass out and allows the grey to come in really pretty. Thanks so much, this has been great

Malgorzata Matukiewicz: My roots turned yellow yesterday , I used black brown die with 20vol and I added purple toner it works as well, I washed it after 2-3 min , now I discovered your method xxx

Penélope Valdez: I am beyond amazed! This worked like a charm! I cant believe it! I am so happy :) i did 2 washes back to back since i was insanely brassy.. now my hair is the pretiest shade of ashy blond! Thanks girl! Greetings from Shanghai!

Only IN HIM: So thankful that you shared this secret!! Does anyone know what will happen to the grey growing out? Will it get darker? I’m trying to blend in my gray with the highlights!

Sandra VI: It WORKED ! OMG you are a goddess!!! It worked , I spend all my life , trying to figure it out , and it worked. I used conditioner . Sending love and happiness and good vibes to you and lovely Egypt !!

Kim McNeill: Wow!! This worked for me!!! I have chemically treated brown hair that had faded to an orange/brass tone. I had to do this a couple times because I was nervous to leave it on too long, but after I finally left it on for a few minutes the brass is gone! Thank you so much!

Angel-Feather-Portal: Thank you Angie, It turned out perfect! Got the ashy collor i always wanted ;)

Aoife Creedon: I was blonde and dyed my hair fully blue on purpose. And it faded and washed out completely to a lovely white Ash blonde. The idea works but only use a tiny bit of you don't want a head of blue hair

The Hygge Life: The rinsage technique has been forever used in my home country, Lebanon. I was just yesterday hoping to know how to do it and I saw your video. THANK YOU

Maneh Ladia: I did it and it works, it’s been almost a week and it washed out to ashy blonde. Thank you

Susan Williams: Thank you so much!! For the benefit of other readers, this works. I have (dyed) level 7 medium brown hair which had a lot of gold and red tones through it. I used the same brand of hair colour as you and the same amounts of colour and developer, mixed into about a cup of cheap conditioner. I washed my hair as usual and left the conditioner on wet hair for about 2 minutes. I used it with conditioner and wet hair as I was being cautious - my hair picks up green tones if I use any hair colour with ash in it, and I wanted to prevent this. This process has toned down both the red and gold colour, and left my hair a sandy coloured brown. The process hasn't added any darkness or depth of colour to my hair, it has only toned down the brassiness. My hair tends to fade to red and gold because I like to re-colour only the roots most of the time, to keep my hair as healthy as possible. I have just done this process to get rid of some of the brassiness before I re-colour my roots. I have a LOT of grey roots at the moment and this hasn't changed the colour of them at all. For anyone with very light blonde hair, I would definitely try this. If you are worried about doing it, just try it on a small section of hair underneath first. Given that it has not changed the colour of my greys, I think it will work for you. It is so quick, easy and cheap! Thank you again!!!!

Fiknete Shaljani: Angie !!!! Thank you ... you are a life saver!!!! love you girl so helpful i did it personally and loved the results

CARLA Fajardo: Works great!! Thank You so much for your tips!!

gabriela buonafina: Finally someone found the solution!!! Ive been going crazy trying to tone it with other products. Im trying this today ❤️

Ma. Charles Thresha Baylosis: I just wanna go back to this video cause few days ago I tried this and it turns out perfectly!! My hair is brown, red orange it’s a mess color Then I tried this and my hair turns into Like a dark ash gray which I love it now!!! Take risk to try it

sheigh: This sounds like it will work. Thank you! Rather than shaving the mop of brassy hair I've been living with for a week now, and living bald for awhile, I'll be running to the drug store for blue/black hair dye.

C C: Okay! I’m going to try this today. No matter how much I tone I always get brassy

Maya The Bee: I've done it 15 years ago in high school. :)) You mix black dye with shampoo and stay with it 5 minutes. It can go green if you keep it longer or if the brand of the dye doesn't contain much blue. :) But then it fades so it's not forever.

Lorie Martin: This is fantastic, thank you!!!!

Natascha Stern: I tried also with the same brand as Angie "Palette Blue Black dye" on yellow & brassy dry hair and it works WONDERS! BUT you have to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL not leaving it too long because the hair could turn GREENISH or an undesired colour. It's better to first try with very small amount or only a strand and wash it immediately and repeat if needed. Thanks for this useful tip!!!

Alison M: I pay a hairdresser or colorist an enormous amount of money just to have it be pretty much the same color. I am excited about trying this. I really hope it works. I am really tired of having orange hair.

AngelaMaria A: This absolutely WORKS, do it exactly as she indicates. If you go a little bit more on the amount of hair dye yes it turns blue specially the more bleached highlights. With The amount she indicates is safe and effective. I overdid it with the amount, turned a bit blue but now it’s perfect after a few washes, orangy is gone.

Marquita Howard: This works WONDERS! I just tried this method and am in LOVE with the results. Thank you for sharing Angie!!

Beatriz Ramos: I usually don’t comment on videos but I tried this and it actually worked!! I dyed the tips of my hair with L’Oréal’s Bleach Colorista and it left my hair VERY orange so I decided to give this a go. I bought a cheap blue/black dye, did everything Angie said and wow, all the orange gone. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (To anyone in this situation or similar, try this, it works like a charm)

Leen Al-Sayed: It made wonders to my hair!! Finally I reached the color of my dreams in the easiest cheapest way ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Girls! It works perfectly.. you all have to try it!!

Carola Muñoz Ramos: i tried this while watching this video and it works, it turns my hair into ashy blonde-brownish color that i like better than that hideous orange that i had before LOL! we will see how long does it stays, but with one hair dye box you got enough for several applications. Thank you!!

Olivia Del Valle: My goshhhhh this is a true secret. I've spent so much money on toners and never get to the desired color. Thank you ☺️

Kimberly Sims: Love this amazing tip! Thanks Angie! I tried this after using purple shampoo, blue shampoo and ash blonde timers to no effect. I used your recipe but it didn’t take as much as I would have liked so after towel drying it off, I took a deep breath and just mixed up a small amount of colour (as though I was going to dye my hair black) and put it on the brassy (light orangey) top section of my hair. I left it on about 2 mins then washed it off. It worked a treat - turning the top half an ashy darker shade - almost like balayage - and it looks so so much better (like a natural slightly darker roots area). Very pleased. I would totally recommend this method - don’t be afraid to try it. The very little time it is on won’t turn your hair black or anything! Just keep checking every 30 seconds or so to see how it’s going. It 100% removes all orangey tones. Trust the very glamorous salons in the Middle East to do this “rinsage” method! Thank you Angie for putting this out there.

Lori J H: Hi - thank you for your info. I am naturally a dark blond who lightens to a 10 light blond. But it Always ends up brassy, orange and fake looking. I have been buying a semi purple toner and then reapplying it with 20 developer about 1-2 weeks after my lightening. It helps a little. I think I will try your method and see if it works better with the blue/black. I hope I can find the box you showed. Tx for your tip. - with ♥️ from Minnesota! Lori
