_______________

What's up beautiful people in this video I will be using the Melanin Haircare collection by @Naptural85 to do a twist out using the LOC Method (Leave in, oil, cream). I don't typically use oils during styling but this oil is a little different, which I talk about below and during the video. Make sure you watch until to end to find out if this combo was a keeper or not?!

// THE CONDITIONER //

The Melanin Hair Care Multi Use Softening Leave In Conditioner is made with nourishing baobab oil, turnip root, and pro-vitamin B5. You can use it in seven different ways! As a pre-poo, a detangler, a conditioner, a deep conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a styling cream, and to re-hydrate your hair throughout the week!

My preference is to use it as a pre-poo, detangler, and even co wash. It has a ton of slip and does a great job of starting the cleansing process. For best results I suggest giving it time to absorb into your hair. This can be done using body heat, the steam from your shower, a plastic cap, a deep conditioning cap, or a hooded dryer (the choice is yours).

// THE OIL //

The Melanin Hair care Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend is a non‑greasy, lightweight formula that contains some of the richest, most nourishing oils on the market like baobab oil, argan oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, sage oil, geranium oil and vitamin E! It is designed to soften, nourish, seal, add slip while detangling, and helps to restore and improve the manageability of your hair!

I love using this oil to detangle my hair it is so slippery and does not weigh my hair down. My favorite way to use it is to coat my hands before taking down my twists and on my body (don't judge me haha)

// THE CREAM //

The Melanin Haircare Twist Elongating Style Cream contains five of the most nourishing, all-natural hair butters on the market: shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, kokum butter and cupuacu butter! Complete with hydrating and reparative aloe vera, plumping avocado and sweet almond oil, and vitamin-rich argan oil, this is one powerfully luxurious and hydrating style cream!

I love this cream! It is softening, smoothing, and supple!! It coats the hair nicely and is heavy enough to tame frizz but does not weigh the hair down. My favorite way to use it is for twist outs and braid outs with a lighter leave in.

// THE LOC METHOD //

The LOC method is a moisturization layering technique that consists of applying liquid to hydrate the hair, oil to lock in moisture and cream to prevent moisture loss; the exact protocol you use depends on how thirsty your hair is, often determined by your natural hair's porosity. I almost didn't come on camera. I was going to re-film a whole tutorial and not even show up what's up beautiful people. My name is sable and welcome to my channel girls with cpa, where i take you on my perfectly imperfect hair and life jewelry. So today is a continuation of our melanin hair care journey. In my previous video, i washed my hair with the melanin hair care african black soap, reviving shampoo and y'all. This was amazing. It gave me a very deep cleanse and my hair was still left hydrated and super defined, and i also i used the melanin multi-use softening leave-in conditioner to deep condition. My hair. Now the multi-use softening leave-in conditioner, can be used in seven different ways. It can be used as a pre-poo, a detangler, a conditioner, a deep conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a styling cream and to rehydrate your hair throughout the week after deep condition, i decided to just leave the product in my hair, as i leave in, and here we are, For the twist out, i'm going to be using the melanin hair care twist of organic style cream, along with the melanin hair care, multi pure oil blend, and i've used these two products on my channel before i'll link that twist style down below and the cards. But i did not do it with the leave-in conditioner, so this is going to be a different experience for me and we're all going to you know, go on that journey together. So, if you're interested in seeing how i do my twist style - basically, i guess using the loc method, then you know keep watching, but, however, and therefore are you subscribed now come on, come on guys, you ain't, you not gon na subscribe, just look down below and Make sure you subscribe to my channel if the button is red, that means you're not subscribed, so punch that subscribe button and punch that notification bell. So you know when i upload new videos and now, let's get into it okay, so it's been about 15 minutes and i'm just going to take this off feels really good feels really really really good. I don't regret this decision at all. As you can see, i feel like my hair has absorbed most of the product, so my hair is looking like um, but still feels good. All right. Now i'm going to go in with the melanin twist: elongating style cream, the melon and hair care twist elongating style cream is a lightweight elongating style cream that is designed to instantly hydrate and seal the moisture into your hair, making it more manageable, while also helping to Detangle and reduce knots, this generous nutrient-rich formula contains five of the most nourishing all natural hair butters on the market, which are shea butter mango butter, cocoa, butter, cocoa butter and capuasu butter, complete with hydrating and reparative aloe vera, plumping, avocado and sweet almond oil and vitamin Rich argan oil - this is one powerfully luxurious, hydrating, styling, cream the directions say to use as little or as much as desired. Our nourishing style cream is lightweight and buildable, making adaptable for those with thick coarser hair, as well as those with thin softer hair. If you have thin air use less for thick hair use more simple as that on wet or dry hair, massage styling cream and to wear one section at a time inside as desired, may be used in conjunction with your favorite leave-in conditioners and oils. Twist. Look good! This time, i'm gon na take a little bit of the oil and i'm just gon na take a tiny bit of it and just see if that makes a difference in how everything is like feeling and stuff like that. Oh, of course it feels amazing, okay and that oil is really good for detangling, like if you need like some extra spoiler, that oil is yummy for that, just letting you know, and since i'm gon na be finger detangling that is perfect and then i'm just gon Na take this much of the butter and just put that through my hair until it feels juicy and i'm just raking it in, like i do everything else and making sure that everything feels nice and coated, i'm just kind of pressing it into my strands. Okay, this is actually a trick that i learned from mahogany curls back in the day when she used to do twist outs. All the time she'd be like make sure you make sure it's moved and remember you want to twist tight. You want to take your time as you're going down finger detangle as you go, and the raking will also help your ends to just kind of curl so that you don't have to use a brush if you don't want to, and then i'm just twirling my fingers, Like so, and by dab when you're finger detangling, you want to make sure that you also get your roots too, and so i typically take my fingers and i go up in my roots to make sure that there are no tangles right. This is the same thing like i would do with the brush. I just go up in there and i pull until like it stops and then i just come back up and then, when i get to the when all the tangles are in the middle, then i just kind of come from the bottom and you know work it Out this oil and butter together is like magic. Okay, i love using them together, the oil is very softening, and so is the butter and i've used it under the cream over the cream either way. I really like how they work together, since i'm only finger detangling. Today, i'm gon na add some of the oil to just give me a little bit more slipperiness, as i detangle with my hands, but typically i don't usually use oils, while i'm styling, because it's a nourishing oil, i feel okay using it as a foundation to like My styling, but i'm really just using it for added slip. That'S all. Let me tell you a little bit more about the oil. The melanin, hair care multi-use, pure oil blend is sure to impress and delight our non-greasy lightweight formula contains some of the richest most nourishing oils on the market like baobab oil, argon, oil, sweet almond, oil, jojoba, oil, sage, oil, geranium oil and vitamin e honey. These oils were specifically curated because of their ability to penetrate the hair shaft in order to nourish and rebuild, while also locking, in that precious moisture for hydration. Longevity designed to soften nourish and seal you'll also appreciate how our multi-use, pure oil blend, helps to detangle those pesky knots, making wash day and styling much easier, containing zero fillers, and only the highest quality oils available. Our multi-use oil blend helps to restore and improve the manageability of your hair, and they say a little goes a long way, but they're not lying for a little goes a long way. This potent oil blend can be used for multiple applications if you use it as a sealant, just massage a small amount into wet or damp hair to help seal the moisture into your strand. You can also use a small amount before or after your favorite styling cream to help seal and moisturize and set your style. You can also use it in conjunction with your favorite conditioner to help nourish soften and detangle, but wait there's more. You can also use it as a hot oil treatment and it can be added to your favorite diy recipes and my favorite part y'all. It can be used as a body moisturizer after bathing. Y'All should know by now that i like to put oil on my body. So don't judge me, but i truly like using this oil. It really is super slippery and softening, and my hair just feels really really good when i put it on and i especially like to use it for when i'm taking my twists down that same slipperiness. That helps you to detangle. It helps you just kind of glide through and separate your curls with ease. I really enjoy using this oil okay. So i'm gon na come back when my hair is completely dry, but i'm just gon na put my scarf on and go to bed, i'm not even sleep, so wait. Maybe i'll sit on the dryer for 10 minutes who knows, but i'm not gon na go to bed so see you in the morning, and this is me on day five now i had all intentions of coming taking my twists down on camera, but on monday um Labor day we um, we went to one of our friend's house and i wasn't anticipating that, so i did not film a takedown. However, i do have a clip from when i just took my hair down, not inserted yeah here at this okay, as you can see, the hair is flowing, hair is defined fluffy and soft and honestly, i did not expect my hair to come out so nice, because My twists, they just weren't as juicy as they usually are, and i think it was for a couple of reasons, one i sat under the dryer because i didn't want to go to bed with hair right. This is a this is not the first time this has happened to me, but it's like the dryer. I know this is gon na sound stupid, but the dryer basically dries my hair out, and so this it takes away some of the suppleness for the twist and then also my hair doesn't get to naturally absorb the products, and so i don't get that plump. You know juicy twist that i like and that's why i don't like doing my twists at night right, i like doing them in the morning that way, i have all day for my hair to dry and just set okay. The second thing is: am i the only one that doesn't like to use is a leave-in conditioner, i'm sweating it's hot it's summer, i'm so sorry, but i don't really like using these two together, my hair felt really good. My hair was so soft. It'S still very, very soft uh, my hair isn't dry. My i mean the moisture has lasted all week, but i feel like i got more definition when i did not use the leave-in, and maybe i used too much of it. Like i don't know, last time i did a twist out with the cream. I actually used this shea moisture like sugar cone extract and meta foam. Leave-In conditioner, i know chain works, just cancel, but you know this is what i used um and i really enjoyed this combination like the these two with the oil did really well. I had a really good definition. My hair was so smooth and my twists were, like my twists, were so juicy right, and so i'm thinking that maybe the leave-in, if you use too much of it, then i honestly, i honestly don't know, but i i feel like i've seen a couple people in My comment section talking about how they don't like using the leave-in as a leave-in. Does that mean that i will still continue to buy this, of course, but i will probably use it with either maybe a different type of styling product or just use a tiny bit of it. If i know that i'm going to be doing a twist out with this, but i will definitely continue using it as my pre-poo and detangler, because i love it for that, but these two together it was almost like it was too moisturizing. Maybe i honestly don't know. I'M gon na try it another time and i'm going to not sit under the dryer to see. If maybe it was just the factor of me sitting under the dry hair that kind of screw everything off, but all the products work i didn't have to retwist. My hair didn't: do i really didn't do anything to my head? All i was doing all week is sweating and just pineappling my hair at night, i'm nice. I just threw on my bonnet because i just i'm when i'm stressed i do not do anything extra like it is bare minimum. I'M actually surprised that my hair is on the puff right now: okay, but it's been a very stressful week and i'm grateful for melanin for holding me down in the moisture department um. But in terms of definition, i don't know i need to i'm gon na revisit this. What i'm going to do next is i'm actually going to do a video where i use a different leave-in to see if it matters because, like i said it could just be that i set up the dryer like i don't know, but i i honestly i was Going to refilm a whole tutorial and not even show up, you know, but y'all y'all, my sign y'all ain't signed up for me to be fake or nothing so i was like. Let me just come on camera. Tell the people what's going on and what's going on is i love? This is a pretty food, it's cool as a co-wash as well deep conditioner, it's alright, but as a leave-in i am still not so i even use this as a one product like to do it wasn't on purpose, but i used this to do twist out and It actually came out good. I only use this product and maybe a little bit of oil. I think final thoughts, love using all the products. My hair felt really good. When i took my twists down, my hair felt extremely soft, like my twists were so crusty looking. I didn't even expect it to feel so soft, but my hair felt really soft. It was easy to separate my curls boom, but i feel, like i didn't, get as much like hold. Maybe that's what i'm looking for much hold as i did when i used a lighter leave-in conditioner. My hair was also wetter too, so we gon na do a whole bunch of experimenting right because i do love these products, but i can see why there are people who say like the products: don't work for them, because there are some combinations that don't work. For me, and i'm actually a fan of the products, so you know we just gon na figure it out together, okay, but thanks for coming on this journey with me, it ain't over okay, because you'll be seeing melanin on my channel again once i figure out the Perfect combo because this was cute, but i i expected hot fire. Thank you guys so much for watching um, like i said before i'll link the videos that i talked about like my wash day and the first melon twist out that i did down below, but then also i'll just put my melon in playlist. So you could just watch the whole thing, okay from unboxing to to this. Oh, i appreciate you guys and i feel like by the time this video goes up. I'M probably gon na have or be super close to having 1 000 subscribers and y'all wonders like first of all, y'all out here speaking my love language. Okay, like the amount of affirmation, the kind words in the comments section like like i said my week, was so stressful, but reading all your nice comments just made me feel so good, like i appreciate all of you guys. Thank you for my day ones and thank you for the new family like y'all, the lid. I love it, love it love it love it so um once i reach 1k we're gon na do a giveaway, but right now, while i'm filming this, i don't got 1k. Yet so that'll come in a separate video, but that is all i have for you guys. I need to go in the ac, there's no ac in my bathroom. I don't know who did this but until next time don't forget to like comment, share and subscribe and i'm sending you all peace, love and good air day. Fives bye get your melanin on. Oh, you,

Curls of a CPA: What are your favorite twist out combos? Let me know down below so I can get some inspiration (and be all up in your hair business haha)

Racqs Real: Your hair looks absolutely moisturised. The cream applied beautifully. I can’t wait for this to be available in the UK!

Journey With Kay26: Hey girl! I love your personality. I have been using all her products from her original launch. You know Whitney is all about the health and moisture of hair. When she wants a certain hold is when she used to use her flaxseed gel. But you are right, because their is so much moisture, you may not get the desired hold with that leave-in. I actually found out how oily it was when I used it on almost dry hair as a moisturizer. My hair loves it as a moisturizer/detangler. Dry (as in not wet...lol) hair soaks it up! But yes, all the products are great. We just have to use them in the way they best work for our hair . Everyone seems to always talk about the hold, but the one thing I haven’t seen on the jar is hold. The cream was suppose to be like her DIY butter. So I am praying for a release on her Flaxseed gel . The results of the flow and softness of your hair...love it. Shout out from Jamaica . Keep safe in this season and all the best on your channel!

Flauntit Natural: Your hair is so beautiful! I can understand about the leave in... It probably had so much moisture that the hold was less. Finding that perfect ratio is super important. I had to figure that out too!

CurlyCurlDream: Girl your hair is so defined and gorgeous! It looks so soft too. I use the leave in as a prepoo meaning I used it to detangle and it makes my wash day so much easier. Maybe you can incorporate it into your routine that way

Haycin Nurse: I absolutely love your honesty!! I always love your videos

Healy Means: hi cpa CONGRATS ON 1K thanks for continuing with the video and sharing this demo & review. your twists woulda been my style for a full week. great day 1 hair that lasted into day 5.

Zina Mckenzie: Thank you, first time viewer. Love the great personality and your honest opinion about the products that work for “YOUR HAIR”!!

Olivia Fitz: I always put on a plastic cap when I sit under the dryer for that exact reason. When drying twist outs, I think it's important to cover the hair so it absorbs without drying it out.

Belle in Bloom: Your twists looked soooo goodHope you like the results next time around with another leave in!

Neosoul_prima: I definitely love and need that moisture. Like it’s fall and winter, and my hair needs to be moisturized from wash day to wash day

VanesVlogs: You are making me want to re-visit this line, I think I tried the twisting cream but I don't really do twistouts often and don't really like it for my wash and go!

Darcé Jackson: I think your hair looks great in my opinion!

LaCostasDreams: Who said she’s moisture was cancelled!? Lol..that’s been a while ago!! Are we not over that yet ‍♀️!! Yes that’s what I was thinking, It was too moisturizing. Thanks for sharing

SimplyCurly: Love your editing . Great video

felicia johnson: My favorite combo is the carol daughter coco creme moisture butter and the mane choice exotic cool aid leave in conditioner. Bomb combo, moisture for dayssss. You should try it

ElegantPaws01: Your hair is beautiful.

Jas McQueen: I def understand what you are saying!!! Maybe the leave in conditioner weighed your hair down!!! Thanks for your honesty!!!

Jasmine Best: OH EM GEE Yaas! RUNNING to get this (because of you and Haycin!)

Katrina Michee': I don’t use the style cream I just use the leave in the style cream didn’t work for me and I’ve tried several times. I think it’s too each it’s own.

Flauntit Natural: Love this!

Flauntit Natural: This intro!

Janice Watson Aka J Paris: What do you mean shae moisture is canceled...are you saying that particular product no longer in stores.....anyway loving your video

Latasia Tatum: “If the button is red” all this time I’m watching your videos and I’m not even subscribed.

Nikita J: ❤️

Lydia Explores Grace: Lol tooooo moisturizing??? Girlll slide them over I neeed all the moisture
