Hi, I'm Doug and I'm Stacy like a lot of people. We got sick of Egypt and wanted to go back in time. Oops. Not that far, so we started growing in faith farm, an 11 acre sustainable homestead with no solar power, wind turbines, rule water and we work just like the Pioneers plowing up the land. With our horses swelling in stowing out food. We work with honeybees and harvest the honey we raise our packets for fiber chickens for eggs, sheep have cute dog, we are scripturally observant and we look forward to sharing our journey hello, youtubers and friends and family around the world. Yeah. That'S our new thing every once. A while I do a pretty good imitation of people, at least I think I do. What do you think and I'm going to do one, and then you know what you try to figure out who it was and then leave a comment down below. So this is just a quick little thing I don't know. Sometimes I do like. I did do-it-yourself world one time Troy and a couple people got it right away. So who was that? Who was that Invitational all right? So what we're going to do today is Stacie. Miss Stacy, my darling, lovely assistant, wife, wants to talk about a natural, shampoo, conditioner and then we've had several of our subscribers want to know about how we make our deodorant, because we mentioned it, one of our other videos and again with all of our videos. We want to bring you the information that we found that works for us, because we do a lot of investigations, but then you know everybody's body, chemical reactions. Everything is different, so just make sure that you try it in small amounts. We have a couple. People comment like on our comm Gooch's stuff that maybe you shouldn't take too much at first with everything you know, changing your diet or anything else, just kind of ease into it. You know what I mean so and just see what works for you, because we're just bringing you what we've learned, what we're studying what's working for us and hopefully you're gleaning from it, okay, so she's about to tell you about some gasoline on your hair, it's a She of who basically has like mineral oil and it's a byproduct of the ethylene distilled into crude oil natural. Well, there's like lots of things you got propylene glycol there opal air like that, the fight age, there's you know, cons of time. No miyamura! You go to the store and you spin money put that on your hair there, chemicals that when they're heated up to then they turn into carcinogens and then you're breathing it in the shower - and I know you like common shower and why do people have so many Asthma, problems and respiratory problems all this stuff, these chemicals that we're putting on our body and our hair and our skin are causing all this. So you want to detox along and you're, going to say so so much money from buying all this shampoo stuff that you go on a wonderful vacation with your family. You can come to grow in faith farm to give us a visit yeah. That would be fun. She thought I was gon na go into this whole big thing, but I cut it off right. There looks you loose hey if you like, be long-winded. Sometimes, okay, no shampoo, all right, Scioscia, pumas, very simple, because the main ingredient of your shampoo is my little bag. I'M running low on this one baking soda, that's Bob's, baking soda. It'S not a proper. What you call product placement at or anything, that's just what we use we buy. I like this kind, if I'm going to put it on my body or skin, or if your maybe your, take a bath with it or if I'm going to wrap it or whatever right a few powder uh, because it's natural in mind, naturally my Colorado right now. Those are like the other brands. Baking soda are fine, a lot of them may be chemically to get those a shots and for the baking soda and they'll be fine. I use those for cleaning, but if I'm going to personally use it on my body, I always use this one and I think there's another brand frontier, there's some other ones that are more there. Natalie mine, yeah, that's just what we use. How much is that? That'S our one pound: how much is it roughly um, it's a little bit more money than other like there always is back how much it is anywhere in Utica, three, probably three or four dollars three or 400 last room. All the time right. I was just gon na say that okay, cool cleaning - I buy it a big bag for other stuff right, that's fine! Regular lazy! I mean all these hands are like 47 cents for a little ah right. Alright, so shampoo start staining, maybe have friends, give you old, shampoo containers or anything. You know they have the little squirt ETOPS those work out good. So here we go or, as you ride down your last bottle of who you're buying man save your mom. Alright, like a girl thing, get some cool bottles that you really like, and you like like the way they squeeze out and just save those yeah. I could care less, he doesn't care, but I you know I like the way it comes out. If you like, the way it comes out, then do that alright, so very simple: all you'll need is a tablespoon of baking soda right to 1 cup of water, 1, 2, 1, 1 baking soda 1 cup of water 1 cup alarm. For now I like it to smell good, he doesn't care, but he I mean he won't mind if I put smell stuff in it, so you might want to put a little lavender in it or maybe put a drop or so tea tree. Tea tree is good to get rid of you know, especially if you have kids and you're worried hard. If there's you know with lice going around, or I know um, some of my people I was talking to last year, apparently was like a really bad year for lice there's a year of the lice all over yeah. We did never get it again. The Centers for Disease Control, except they were staying out and they couldn't get them out a lot of the schools. I mean it was a bad thing. Some of you, kids, homeschool, like if you, if you do if tea tree oil is always good, because you know if there was one that's around that might want to get on you or just keep anything away. I mean it is just good if you have that kind of smell in your hair anyway, that you're going to repel bugs. Please ticks lice all that no it's good! These essential oils are great, so you just put it in your bottle. Put the water in the our pictures, baking soda in there, and this smell good and before you go ahead and put it on your hair, make sure you shake it up every time right call every time yeah because of the price. So it's a disaster so um when you do it you're going to go ahead and put it on your hair and then I would put it in the roots and just let it go down. Now it's not going to lather raw use to having a big white. You know fuzzy afro here, and it shows that the sodium lauryl sulfate man - what are all these words you can't for those how come our shampoo has baking powder, water, baking, soda, baking, soda or water, some tea tree oil or essential oils? Well - and it's basically what's so good about the baking soda is it is a it moves the odors. So here on the farm a lot of times, you know we have our so and you get smoke sometimes in here and then your Harrell smell you'll get rid of smell or, if you're out somewhere. You know how, if you go to a restaurant, and sometimes you get that greasy smell or - and you know you can't get the smells out your hair. Well, the baking soda will just suck it right up. It gets rid of the smells really good you're, just going to put it on the roots and just kind of let it go down now. Beg you soda is alkaline. I think it's a very peak alkaline and um, basically you're just going to put on your hair rinse it out and then, when you're done, you want to kind of bring it back your way with the conditioner right we're going to go ahead and make it, and It'S a little more acidic, so it's going to kind of make it so are. It will help the pH of your hair. So really, if, like some people, like my mean right now, would care less about a conditioner. We just use a shampoo or whatever wash my hair, but with what this kind of thing you actually want to use the conditioner as a Reds, because it's going to help balance out the first stage of what you just did hi right. We always want to have that equilibrium. We have the homeostasis inside of our body. You want to be alkaline too, and then here with your hair, is the same thing. So you go ahead and wash it with your one, tablespoon of baking soda to your one cup of water, with your essential oils and then the conditioner is the same ratio you're going to have one tablespoon of apple, cider, vinegar, ACV to one cup of water. There. You go and then you can go ahead and put some. You know foo-foo some essential oils of lavender tea tree whatever. If you want there tip, you don't have to UM when you do that, if it depends, everyone will be different. If you have maybe a thicker hair - or maybe you know that's in pretty good condition, maybe start at the roots. If your hair is thinner or dry, you know thinner or maybe oily layer. I would go ahead and start down and then go down here. You may find a good table square table yeah because it's going to be a detangler, it's going to give your hair shine. It is very nice, but it's not like what we're used to when you first start doing. You'Re like oh, this is so weird, but you're. Just you want to keep doing it because it's going to take a while for your hair to kind of detox, you got ta, get your hair off those drugs. It basically is because what happens when you put that stuff on it and it has that fake moisturizer and all the different things that puts in it it kind of blocks the scalp from producing the oil. So then it doesn't come out there naturally. So then, your hair is wanting more and more and more for your washing because your hair's getting oily msg high honors. So, that's why you have to keep shampooing it over and over, and he really we shouldn't have to watch wash our hair down at all because your hair and he actually produces oils in it, and you just basically want to kind of do your scalp a little Bit so the more we get rid of all that chemicals and all that junk. That'S binding up our skin and it's not able to breathe and do what it's supposed to it's forcing us to use all this other junk. I don't need so. Basically, there's going to be like a curve of beginning and then scenary go through a detox pot process. You know maybe we're a half for a week or two until your body kind of gets used to it. You might take a little bit longer, but once you do it I mean is so simple because we know how you are you want immediate results, media gratification, you won't get it. Everything that we talked about is a process, so even from the food from eating to gut bacteria to kombucha. Everything is a process, but after you stay on that for a while and you use it consistently, then you're going to reap what you saw. That'S right, dress. So on the conditioner, if, let's say you do the water with apple cider, vinegar, it just doesn't work even if you're not putting it on your scalp or you're, just putting it down here and then down and doesn't work. You can even try lemon juice in water. So do the ratio of the tablespoon of lemon juice with the water? You can try that and see. If that works, for you um, I know. For me, my hair is thicker and in the summer look a dryer and a lot of people do do because you know you're on the sidewalk so either doing the lemon juice tablespoon of lemon or the table juice of apple cider, vinegar in your cup of water. You can also add a teaspoon of honey right. That'Ll, add a little bit more moisture to it. Okay, you want to go, you'll get any local home and then you can eat it too. When you're in the shower, we do the bees. We got the honey so um, but that's another way to do it and then let me go back to the shampoo, so it was the baking soda in the water. If you have thicker, hair or curly hair, you might want to add a little bit more baking soda to the whole mix of a light. 1/2. More now, just a blue triangle. Before you have to swing with it, you might want a little bit more because the more hair tissue - and you want to get you needs to get in there cut your hair right. So so, just you know kind of play with it. You know you can add more water and you can more baking soda, just kind of play with it and see, but usually for thicker hair. I would do a little bit more baking. Soda shampoo um. Let me think is that about it. That'S it so, basically, in our recipe, if you will, we have three ingredients: water, baking, soda and essential oil. You camp it now, the next time you're in your shampoo aisle at Walmart or wherever the heck it is you shop flip on the back of that bottle that you want to put on your hair and read the paragraph of words that you can't even pronounce yeah That has hormone disruptors causing cancers, but it has luminol any bad bad, bad news. All right, Doug and Stacey grow to faith farm drop it off this video, the deodorant behind dang - and I forgot we will put that in here too. Ok, so they wanted to know about our magic we're going to let you know how the magic happens. Ciao, okay, so deodorant same thing with deodorant. I mean you start putting that stuff on all the time and then you just become so dependent on it, and then you smell sighs that you're getting garbage. So you stink a lot right, so you need to really you need it all starts. Go right! You really go, try to take some saunas or, if you can get to a sauna or dry sauna, sweat a lot you're starting to do this it'll help because it'll help you treasure our right, because you want to get rid of it all all right. So, what's in here actual so, basically, when you have a little smell going on, you know, you just need a teeny bit of baking soda yeah like oh. This is just baking soda. That'S that's all the deodorant we use if that's just play baking soda, and then I put my ammeter in it yeah straight up, just baking, soda so about a dime on your hand and then put a little water on it. Wait! What'S that, let you do it all right, I'll tell you from my experience and another friend of mine and probably couple friends of mine when we first started doing this years and years ago, we put way too much because you're like yeah, you know, you'll put a Ton on there and then we would take our under arm, so they were totally white. Well then, I got kind of you know. I was irritated at car little bumps in there and that's what happens to a lot of people because they put too much, and so it's very harsh right. Then they bad mouth is not knowing that they were actually the cause of it, because there isn't too much. Well and I'm like it worked, oh, I tried all these natural deodorants I made them. I tried a bunch of different ones that didn't have baking soda in them and none of them worked right. So I'm like this is the only thing that took the smell away. I mean I can put this on and I won't smell. You know I mean like e-4 I'll do something I mean it's just wonderful. This is great, so you just put a teeny bit yeah and then you put some water in your hands and you just kind of rub it. Okay and then I just go numb heads together, but then you're gon na put it under your arms just spread. It really good and just keep getting it out from your fingers and just rub it all over there and then in a couple minutes the smell goes away all right. So in it it's great every single day. I don't use it every day. All the is very smelly when you, yes or if your wife tells you hey out of you, that's a clue for me right because you know with you um, and we also did our thing about taking a shower or taking a bath and all I really don't Need to take one every day, right, um, so it this has been the best thing I mean I really really like it, and I just don't. I try not to use too much put it on. Oh, no. We use that same stuff. Bob read: exciting, Amy, absolutely mine. Naturally, my board yeah and the little avid royal and some are using. You know another one is the truly oils good sure you can mix all yeah. There'S somewhat orange oil. You can mix a lot of different ones as a basis to ingredients. Now going read the back of your deodorant in York in your closet right now, your bathroom will go. Read it okay, see how many of those you can pronounce that's actually on there anyway. So give it a try, I mean it take, might take a while for the hair thing, especially girls, with long hair, but maybe bring her pull back or yeah, I'm just going work. After a while and your kids, I mean look at money, we'll save anything right and your health. If anything, I think the health benefit is way. Awesome. Definitely right! So all right is that it, I think that might be. I think that might be until we meet again. Where is it alveta Zayn? Is that what it means just hit? The subscribe button share it with a friend put us on Facebook. We'Ve got more videos coming, we are going to try to incorporate the laptop and some film editing stuff. If you want to see us attack any issue that you might be thinking of about living off grid or homesteading or any of the scripture stuff, that's perfectly fine, and I guess that's it. That'S it! That'S it! So till we see you in the next video subscribe button like us, don't like us whatever and just keep watching us, because you know you're, just your comments and your support means a lot to us. It helps us to stay motivated to bring you this kind of tent yep

Tamatha Mavraides: I was looking at the comments. I see so many complaining about Doug interrupting Stacey. I am unsure why it's not clear that this is their dynamic and they are very happy. They seem well bonded and frankly pretty cute. Dough seems to have so much respect for all of Stacey's knowledge on all the nutritional stuff and the healing. He's not meaning to be rude. He's enthusiastic. Yelling at him and calling him names, that's rude! His wife can speak for herself, if she was upset I'm sure she would have mentioned it. I've been holding that in for a while, sorry about that little explosion.

Angela Duncan: I was in the shower this morning thinking that the luxuries that I pay good money for are the very things that are holding me back from my homestead. I am going to try making these now to save for the real deal! Thank you guys!

TIM & AMY: Love love watching Doug & Stacy... I watch the current but going back to start at the beginning. We are slowly going OFF GRID and learning so much from you guys. We own our land and we have a trailer there and we are remodeling. Going to get some of the Hurricane Lamps from Lehman's to start getting use to not having lights. And that will SO help with this light bill... I will be so glad when that is gone. Anyway thanks for sharing your videos

Julia Carlson: Baking Soda deodorant!! I can't talk about it enough! I just splash a dash on and I'm good for a day or 2! I couldn't believe it, and all these companies selling us the chemicals we don't even need! Thank you for you're videos!! You guys are great!

Shandi Perry: I’ve been through cosmetology school and they teach a lot but always focus on what is mainstream. So we are ALL SO BRAINWASHED. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Donna & Michael Golel's Wholesome Journey: I love it. I laughed so hard. Doug said get your hair off drugs. I don't think that he meant for it to be funny. But I like to have fell off the edge of the bed. Thanks for the recipes, but the laugh was such a bonus!!

Bonnie Greer: Howdy folks!  A few kudos on some things... I love your vids and what you are accomplishing.  I have been looking for shampoo and conditioner that are chemical free.  I tried the baking soda wash and ACV rinse;  verdict - they work wonderfully and I love this.  I made your ketchup and again, it is wonderful!  I made your tooth powder and again, I love it!  I was using a coconut oil toothpaste but I do like your powder better.  I also ferment, make kombucha, kefir, etc. and now you have me making tinctures.  God bless you two!

Linda Foote: I use epsoms salts mixed in water ( half and half combination) and apply to under arm till it starts to dry and it works great for a deodorant. Plus you get extra magnesium that way.

james Pierce: Just an up date from a month ago my hair is way more soft and silky now its like soft baby hair i love it and even my husband says its very soft .I also use your liquid soap great love it ...Just saying again Thank you guys love watching ya....Learning alot from you guys.....

Kayla Wheeler: Gahhhh!!! Thank you thank you! I wasn't sure if I was imagining if my kids hair was softer after I used my homemade shampoo and conditioner, but this morning I took a shower and used it. I'm not exaggerating. It takes me 30-45 min to brush my hair cause its so long. I literally just brushed my hair in less than 5 minutes!!!! Oh my goodness this stuff is AMAZING! And my hair is so soft! Gahhh I'm excited! I HATED brushing my hair before lol. It's insane that apple cider vinegar would work so much better than tons of head and shoulders conditioner!

BrassBelleHomestead: I LOVED THE PHOTOS AT THE BEGINNING! I've never put baking soda in my "shampoo". I'll try your formula. I have been using vinegar as a rinse and find my hair is much smoother (my hair is very coarse). I use lime juice for deodorant. I transfer it to a squirt bottle. Works great! Pinned.

Red Tankgirl: I have locs, so I found the baking soda got stuck in the locks and that wasn't working for me. I tried it years ago. Apple cider vinegar was too drying and turned my hair to straw the first time and took a month to fix. I personally went back to using tea to wash my hair (herbal teas) mixed with lavender etc. the same as you mentioned, and a little coconut oil. I run it through the hair scrbbing the scalp. The tanins of the black tea and the herbal teas keep the scalp in geat condition and the hair is great without stripping it of all the oils. You don't have to add the coconut oil either at this stage. I condition with the coconut oil afterwards. My deodorant is the same. Love the videos. Thankyou, Please don't stop them.

Erica Stevens: I feel like I need to come to your homestead for like a boot camp. And whip me into shape. lol I love your videos.

Melody Jordan: The whole world can learn from this awesome lovely couple. Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to teach the world how to be fabulous!!!

Joanie Stoddart: Stacy I appreciate all that you share...especially the home remedies...made the tooth powder..my mouth has never felt so CLEAN and Shampoo and Conditioner are next on my list. Blessings to you

Wren Downey: I LOVE that you are scripture observant! I’ve been using the baking soda shampoo and ACV conditioner since 2016 and will never go back to store bought products. I have long fine (old) hair. Thanks for the inspiration on all your videos. Young people need this info. There are way too many toxins going into their bodies! Makeup, nail polish, perfumes plus what’s being eaten.

Deb Rothermund: I am so excited about this. I started 2 years ago with changing my products at home from store bought to homemade. Toothpaste, deodorant, face cream, body butter, laundry soap, fabric softeners, essential oils in a defuser vs sprays like febrezee . Love the freedom from products. I was diagnosed with Graves disease and blood disorder, I gain weight, lots of other struggles. Trying to find help with healthy eating...I found you...now I am working on the food part. Thanks for you sharing your smarts on food as well as the farm. It means a lot to me and many others.

Sølvengel: I just wanted to say how happy I am to have found your channel. I have shared it with a friend who is starting her own homestead on an old farm in an Amish area near me. I have been using the baking-soda wash for 6 yrs now, followed by ACV in water for conditioner. I have found in my area since I'm using boiled tap water (city water) I need to do 3 T baking soda to 2 cups. My hair has never been healthier. I used to have to wash everyday now I only wash my hair 2x's a week. For my deodorant I haven't gotten to home made but I am using an all natural roll-on that is mostly aloe vera ,herbal tea and almond oil extract.

Leah Foerster: I just did research on alternatives to baking soda because I'm afraid if the long-term damage. I have very fine hair, lots of it, it's straight, and very dark brown. I just started using rye flour and ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. It's been two weeks. Three tablespoons rye flour and add water to make a slurry. Concentrate the mix towards the roots to pick up the oils. Leave on for about five minutes and rinse. Rinse well. Even a comb would help. Many complain about the leftover flakes but I find they fall out after your hair has dried. (And remember, I have very dark brown hair so they would be very visible.). PS I've been using Bob's Red Mill Dark Rye Stone Ground.

Michelle Davis: You guys were so ahead of the times with off grid, homeschooling and all natural. Love ❤️ this!

Tayler Hines: Over the years I have enjoyed watching and learning from you guys!! Thank you for all you do <3 Have y’all ever thought about starting a community?

travisrhaley: Love my baking soda deodorant! I mix it with water in a small silicone bottle, just add some in the palm and smear it. SO much better than ANY other garbage you can buy. I'm going to be trying the shampoo now. I try to stick with castile soap for shampoo.. still have a small portion of the other chemical shampoo.. it is about to be trashed. Thanks for all the great info! I'm new around here so you may already have a video on the teas you drink, but if not maybe it would make a good video. Peace.

Faye Hamilton: I have always had really thick hair and noticed that my hair was getting thinner, so I started rinsing with water and Apple Cider Vinegar. Cleaned the junk out of my scalp and hair. My hair started getting thicker again. I love the natural products.

Sappy Samurai: Been transitioning to all natural beauty products since I watched this video! My skin is so much happier! The baking soda deodorant works like a charm!! I’m starting to experiment w good natural ingredients like glycerin, silica, raw cacao, almond oil, different essential oils. It’s been a lot of fun and feels great! Thanks Doug and Stacey❣️❣️ Next goal is transitioning to all natural laundry detergent. Any tips? A video on this would be amazing if you haven’t made one yet. Thanks a bunch and hope you guys have a wonderful holiday season ⛄️✨✨

Cat Layland: coconut oil has anti- bacterial/anti fungal properties. I mix it with baking soda, clove oil and neem oil for toothpaste; massage into scalp and just rinse out with hot water about once a month; apply to rashes, bug bites and cuts for faster healing and less scarring.

Rainbow Citizen: I just made your hand wipes. Wow that was so easy to make. Plus so organic I used it on furniture surfaces. It was amazing. Thank you so much. I'm making a batch for the car. My bathroom. The kitchen. Outstanding job on all things.

Linda Long: Binge watching your videos today and am loving these on natural products. I'm ordering myself some baking soda and castile soap! :) Thanks for all you are doing and sharing!

Gena L: Thanks for these great personal care recipes. Have been using baking soda and EO for deodorant for many years and love it. Will be trying the shampoo & conditioner soon

Affy Tabrizi: Great information to share. Have made lots of these changes. Here's a little idea. Not that I'm a brand person but there is an awesome brand of organic essential oils. They are organic, certified organic and have an eco cert label also. They share the idea of scientific aromatherapy. I used the oils I think you have in this video. They are 100% pure but not organic. The name of the essential oils that are organic are called Pranarom. No middleman like some pyramid scheme that charges an arm and leg for a product. **I have nothing to gain by this endorsement of Pranarom** except to share with you all an organic product since you are using it on your skin....yup largest organ, treat it right! Also the oils are surprisingly affordable. Just thought to share with you.

Caidalee: I've been so worried about the aluminum content in retail deodorant. What a great alternative! Thanks Doug and Stacey!

Kathleen Granger: hi Doug and Stacy. I have been binge c watching your videos to catch up since I am new to your channel. I feel like you are family ar this point. lol. I find your videos very informative and inspirational.

B Principled: Love Stacy’s tips. Thank you so much. Gonna try them all including kombucha (tired of being tired).

Marsha Sharier: Thank you for all your help and recipes. I love them and share this info with my friends. Saves me lots of money and is much healthier. Thank you guys love ya.

Marie Schieler: Oh my! I've been working around the house and smell. Just tried plain baking soda and within a few minutes the odor is gone! Thank you! ❤️❤️

Rebecca Black: I already use this. my hair was horrible until it detoxed. you guys are truly living the dream.!!!!;0)

Case_Farm: Love the oldie's but goodies!! This is really vital info!!! Healthy is the way to go!!

Sammi Joy Wilson: The baking soda shampoo and apple cider vinegar conditioner work great. I was hopeful, yet skeptical, since I have very fine but thick hair. I did the formulas just like Stacy said and my hair combed out so easy after I washed it. I am so delighted as I have had to buy fragrance free shampoo and conditioners and the companies charge a lot more to add lass (no fragrance) and now I will not have too, plus no more paraben on my head. Thank you Stacy!

Steve Sacramento: I love you guys! You work so well together and I can tell you have fun and enjoy and respect each other!! Thank you for sharing!

m adams: I am so excited to try this! Coming up on summer hols so perfect timing. Love you both and thank you!

Madam Vonkook: I remember this old video it was in the side bar so I clicked ...it is so cool to see the old videos to reflect on how much your channel has evolved! I think you are both amazing people spreading great information which genuinely will help people!KUDOS! Also I wanted to ad I have been using this for 4 years since I saw this video...I now still wash my hair this way but also made a spray with baking soda and water I like to add tea tree oil and I also have an ACV spray with honeysuckle oil to use in between washing my hair ...I have dreadlocks so It helps be keep my hair fresh. thanks for this tip it has helped me soooo much over the years

Searching Sarah: You are amazing and inspirational , we (my partner and our two kids) are thinking of moving out to the country of Scotland in the highlands but I've lived in the city's with technology and poisoned foods for 40 years and now I'm willing to spend my next 40 years properly and happily your awesome and we look forward to all your other videos to come up in the future !!! See ya!

SeaTurtle 𓆉: You two are amazing! Love watching your videos and love your energy and love for what's real!

Kayla Wheeler: I absolutely love this, buy 2 questions. My hair actually has a lot of static from it l, I even got the bamboo brush. Any ideas? Also, is there a certain kind of plastic bottle you recommend? I'm using left over witch hazel bottles which I love, but I'm noticing my oils are staying on the plastic. I use rose and lavender from Essential 3 they're amazing! Sweet sweet owner with really high quality oils :)

Lisa Booker: Thank you so much for this! Your explanation Stacy is sooooo helpful! I truly appreciate this. God Bless! ✝️ Lisa

Beers Crew Family: Not sure if you will see this being that its an older video, but I had to tell you, THANK YOU! I watched one of your older video's on deodorant. I have been using the Baking Soda/Essential oil mixture. WOW it works better then the "Natural" deo, I used before!! Thank you for making a video on it.

Handy Girls: Homeschool! Love it. We do homeschool and the more I watch your videos, the more I think how awesome it would be to visit you all!

Chey Copley: Thank you so much for posting this and sharing with us. I'm a single mom of three and this is going to help my kids and I save a bunch of money. God bless

Becky Cory: I've always been allergic to deodorant. I use coconut oil, baking soda & corn starch. Works great & no rashes anymore.

BD: My Mom use to collect rain water to rinse her hair and ours, it works !! It makes your hair so soft!!  So that could work along with the conditioner!   Just an idea..

PIECES of my heART with Michele B: "Get yo hair off those drugs!", Doug! Dude, I love it....lmao. My hair has been drug free for a year now! Been practicing this method for a few years. love your channel .... y'all are great....thank you❣❣

Seacoast: Thank you both!! Loved this video. Good job explaining everything you 2.

Sarah Ann: I just love your sense of humour Doug! you guys are awesome

Gabbi Geter: Thank so much, our family is also scripturally observent, I would love to know more about your journey, love this video, you two are truly a Blessing. Thank you.

mothershelper1981: I saw this video a few days ago and tried the baking soda trick a couple days ago. It sure does work! I also used it under my bosoms where I get very sweaty and it seemed to help there also. Then today I didn't have time to shampoo my hair so I sprinkled some baking soda around and not even a lot and immediately my hair smells better.

Victoria Torres: You guys are funny...love the way they talk about things, so real, and maybe some people dint get it. They are doing things as a team.... and that's great...so, leave them alone. I just found them, and love what they have to share, for those who are Interested in living life the better way. Nothing like it.

What Gives?: Last time I used vinegar as a conditioner, no matter how much I rinsed, my husband complained that my hair smelled like vinegar. Also, I got those little underarm bumps Stacy mentioned, and after two years, they haven't gone away.

krislea Eldridge: im going off grid but in my on grid home. i have a water tank and just planted my first lot of winter Veges. My kids love Kombucha. i love your channel of being off grid. been watching for over a year now almost 2 i think.

Sarah Martin: Thanks for that you two! Ariel of FyNyth mentioned you, so I thought I'd drop in to get some tips from y'all. I noticed an oil lamp sitting on the table, what kind of fuel do you use for yours? I'm using that paraffin-based stuff for mine, but the darn stuff is a hydrocarbon, and not that healthy to breath in the fumes when the lamp is lit. Are there any alternatives?

dumanhieu: Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful knowledge and awesome videos, I love them. Baking soda poured down your clogged drain mixed with vinegar then hot water makes a great drain cleaner among a myriad of other uses.

kleineroteHex: 5 thumbs up I changed my shampoo making though, aloe vera gel, water, baking soda and I add some Dr bonner soap (hubby needs suds ☺) for deodorant I mix the baking soda with coconut oil, works great and no pit stains on white shirts either.

BossSpringsteen69: I gotta follow you two. The work the two of you are doing is packed with information. Thank you.

Theresa D: Hello! I just subscribed to your channel after seeing a few of your videos. I'm really enjoying hearing your input on the every day things you have been doing to simplify you life with more natural things. I too am a huge fan of Dr. Bronners which you mentioned in a couple of your other vids. I am curious about the essential oils though. I haven't tried them yet. Are there certain brands that are better quality than others? What is an average cost for them?

Happy Camper: I love your videos, thanks for sharing. I would like to share that I have been using baking soda for deodorant for the last 20 years or so. I just put it in a salt shaker and keep it in my closet, I just skake a dab in my hand dry and put under my arms. It works great. If I have shaved I wait a while. I usually only have to use it now about every 3 days or so because after you have used it for a while it keeps things neutralized. It neutralizes any odors that might be there and keeps me drier. Thank you for sharing this, you have a popular channel that reached a lot of people and you guys are doing a lot of good.

Chick-A-Bee Farm: ok! My hair is down to my waist but I am going to give it a try and see how it goes. Love the idea of my hair smelling like any EO that I want it to!

Heather Smith: Love this! I make a lot of my products at my house. I like the natural way. So many toxins in everything nowadays. Thank you for everything!

kristen luciano: Hi guys, I love your videos! I normally use conditioner BEFORE shampoo (your hair works like a sponge so the hair soaks up the vitamins in the conditioner then the chemicals in the shampoo washes the excess oil away-i highly recommend it with drug store products). Would you say this baking soda shampoo and ACV conditioner HAVE to be done shampoo first? Or could I switch it around?

Mary Ann Smith Kang: Thank you for all the great tips!! I'm definitely making all 3! What about homemade toothpaste? Do you have one to share? Thanks in advance!

Set Apart Living: Great video as usual. With my baking soda deodorant, I still had to cut it just a bit with a little corn starch. Still works wonders.

Queen Yemayah Denkyembo: Yall are cute. love yalls chemistry. refreshing to see more organic videos like this.

Renea.s: With everyone staying home right now, you should mention this video in a new video because we have the time to get through that transition period. Just a thought

Shaz Bonny: I used a similar formula when I had dreads and it still works great now that I don't. I feel like my hair is growing faster with out all the chemical additives.

Joy cam: May YHWH continue to bless you both. I am so happy to have found your tube, thank you very much :)

Cindy Thomas: I love you guys. So informative and funny at the same time. You are both great!

Lindsay Norman: I know this is an old video but when you mentioned the Year of the lice I though back I remembered that up here in Canada it was also my got half the year both girls (and probably my hubby and I( had lice I couldn't get rid of it the school couldn't. I went through 4 different types of poison and our hair was so fried. the most expensive lice shampoo $36 CAD was what finally worked but uhhg that was a very frustrating mommy time. we also started then and still today always have tea tree oil a few drops in our normal shampoo. kids don't care for the smell but when I say would you rather get lice again? they want the oil

Jim Claire: Doug, you look great in blue. Much more slender. Great videos, thank for both of you share hard won knowledge from your homestead. Great volume of work that your will be leaving behind. Not that you are going any time soon. I never started to think about all the money I was spending on some of these products. God bless America, she is becoming great again.

Carl4193: Always impressed… love your level of knowledge. Keep up the good works !

Terri Sebring: Thank you . I stopped using deodorant two years ago. Best thing I have ever done ✅.

Carol Bonnett: Thanks for the heads up! I am always searching for natural ways of making my own natural product for health, home & hygiene. ;)

Rhonda Joyner: Thanks for your awesome video! Will be doing this. I have been doing your recipes. Love y'all!

Megan Schultz: Make sure you use a #1 plastic bottle if you add essential oils as they can deteriorate the plastic.

Harrison Hightower: Hey guys love the new video, My wife has been making our own soap for years; she even makes laundry soap too. Homemade soap is the best it leaves the skin clean with out stripping it. She sell’s her homemade soap at local farmers markets and Etsy. Since I have been at home more we are going to be adding beard oil, mustache wax and lip balm to the mix.  If you want to check us out we are at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DownHomeFarmMaine I have my tzitzit up on her Etsy page as well if you didn’t get a chance to check them out.

Robin Cuellar: I’ve tried the baking soda deodorant and I love it! Thank you!

Gail Firenze: Thank you thank you, I think you two are just great. Such sensible information,Blessings Gail.

ArizonaHotHomestead: again loving the videos. lots of great important information. things that we all take for granted. keep up the little details of life.

New Day Farm: Thanks for the info. I made some deodorant and have been using for over a week now!! Baking soda, arrowroot, coconut oil, lavender eo.........and........I don't stink!!! $Cha-Ching!!

Armor-of- God: God brought me to your channel. Love your vids. I'm a veteran about to be homeless and these videos are so helpful. God bless

Christine Roppel: can you post the ingredients and instructions in writing? That would be so helpful!

Sarah Huckabee: You two are great!! My question would be shaving. What kind of Razor do you or don't you use? Mainly Stacy lol Doug may be afraid of a razor :) love what your doing!

Brenda Shelton: Great.  Keep up the good work.  The old timers always kept baking soda and vinegar all the time and used it for everything.

Johan Taljaard: You're inspiring thanks you two ☺

Biblical Truths with Grandma Holly: I put together the shampoo and rinse. I love it. I'm of the age where I can remember Mom rinsing my hair with vinegar and water. It feels to clean.

Sheila Robertson: Hey you guys. My people think I am nuts, but for real I wash my hair in A&H baking soda and vinegar for my conditioner. Rinse in ice cokd water and my hair turns out perfect and shiny. I exfoliate with and even drink baking soda for my skin. Organic lemon water with honey makes a great drink and us soo good! Also doing the coconut oil for moisturizer, cooking. I even wash my clothes with baking soda, salt & vinegar. Saved a ton of cash and of course my family is much healthier. Totally off topic, but how do you guys stay cool in summer?

Laura Livesay: Nothing I've tried works like baking soda and water! So simple!

Chalice Guard: Coconut oil is a great hair treatment, too. Use sparingly. Tea tree oil is a great antibacterial and gets rid of odor, too.

Let It Roll: You two are great. Stacy, you're so patient!

tiffiny cheek: So excited about the deodorant. I have been looking for a good replacement for deodorant. Love your channel. Thanks guys.

Lily Danielle: I use liquid Castile soap mixed with my leftover tea (I get distracted and my tea gets cold) with only honey in it for shampoo. Then I use a white vinegar/acv/water rinse. Although my first rinse was orange peel infused white vinegar and water

This Old Homestead: I personally like your videos the way they are but I'm a simple girl! I am going to try the baking soda and water shampoo and see how I like it. My hair is extremely long and thin, so I will let you know. Thank you guys so much, Shalom-Kim

Off Grid Nation: I'm sharing with my wife. Less money to the man + healthier for you = happy, healthy and smart. I would also have accepted good :)

Pat Vanderwolf: Thank you both for this video .. going to try out the shampoo and conditioner .. instead of the ACV for the conditioner, I’d Like to use the orange/mango vinegar that I have in the process of ‘maturing’ .. about another 2 weeks. Will that give the same result? I haven’t made any ACV yet .. have only just begun (about 2 months) this walk on the natural side ..
