Hey guys, what's up welcome back to my channel, today's video is about my favorite subject, which is hair, so i recently picked up two sets of extensions from bellamy and they were both from the platinum perfection collection and i didn't see a ton of reviews for these Out there i was actually looking for them, because i had a hard time picking the color. So i wanted to share these with you guys i'll talk a little bit about how i picked this specific set on bellamy and then we'll do a little try on and just kind of talk about my final thoughts. So if you're into that kind of thing, please go ahead and like the video please subscribe to this channel and stick with me and we'll get into it: okay, so um! First, how i picked these out now. I'Ve been wearing extensions for like over 10 years at this point, so i have a lot of knowledge in this arena. So i'll share with you guys kind of my main criteria that i used. So one of the first things i figured out when i started shopping for extensions is that a lot of it has to do with weight. So the thickness of your extensions is always going to be measured in grams, so you'll see extensions all the way from like 100 grams for a set to like 300 or even more than that, and the way that you pick the right weight for you is depending On what your hair looks like today versus what you're trying to accomplish so if you naturally have thick hair, especially if that hair is short, you're going to need a really thick set to actually be able to conceal that versus if you're somebody like me, that has You know maybe finer hair, a finer hair, texture and already has long hair. So really for me, i typically just wear extensions to add a little bit of thickness to my natural hair. I will typically go with a set that doesn't have quite as much weight to it so um. This was perfect. For me, this particular set was 18 inches long and 140 grams. So, for me, that adds just the right amount of volume and thickness where it still looks. Super duper natural. But it's still, you know comfortable to wear and i don't just feel like. I have something really heavy on my head, especially when it's hot outside. So then, the next thing that you have to kind of pick from is the length, so i went with the 18 inches. I want to show you guys, i'm wearing a few pieces from the set right now, so you can actually see right where the length is on me and i would say it's kind of right below the chest. So, for me, this length is really good, especially when i'm wearing them straight and i did buy both of these sets to actually wear straight and not curly. If i was buying an extension that i was planning to curl, i would typically go with like about a 20 inch, anything that's longer than that. Like 22 24 inch, unless you're super sh uh tall, then it can kind of look like a little bit too much and it looks very fake, at least it does to me. So i highly recommend kind of sticking in that 18 to 20 inch range, especially if you don't know what you need or you've, not shopped for extensions before the other thing that you have to pick from on their site, and i will tell you guys, i was A little new to this so um in the last few years they came out with these silk seam wefts, and this is basically what they look like there. We go yeah, so it's just a really thin weft versus what the wefts used to be like, which is a lot thicker and they were basically sewn onto a piece of lace. So i do really like this new type of weft. I think it lays a little bit flatter to the head, so you know that's, maybe a personal preference thing, but i do notice that they still have both options on their site. If you want to go with, you know the older um lace, type weft or if you want these silk seam wefts and then really the last thing that you have to think about is number of pieces to the set. Now, if you have really short hair - and you need to do a lot of blending - you're - probably going to want as many pieces as possible - so maybe even as many as 10, but with these sets, you actually only get five now. I think that that's a positive, because, most of the time i find myself not even using all five pieces, i actually will just use like three and i'll i'll show you guys how to do that. If you don't want to use the entire set. But if you have shorter hair like i was saying or if you really just want a lot of thickness, you want a lot of drama, then you might want more pieces, and in that case i would go with one of the sets that has a little bit More weight to it as well as more pieces to the set, so anyway, the two colors that i got. Let me show you the color comparisons. So when you're shopping, this platinum perfection collection, i think the idea behind this collection was really just to have more colors. In that ultra light blonde color spectrum, so normally, if you shop with any other site, you're, typically going to see a couple of colors that kind of land on that ultra light spectrum, typically the color 613 and the color 60.. So i actually have one of those as a comparison point that i can show you guys, comparing with um these two colors from bellamy. So this extension is not from bellamy but again the colors 6613 they're, typically consistent across the board, and this was a rooted shade. But you can see the bottom of it. This is the color 60. okay, so 60 is normally a platinum blonde, but kind of on the ashier side, like not warm. So this is what that color looks like and then we're going to compare the other colors with each other side by side, as well as comparing it to the color 60, which is kind of like a standard in the industry. So zach mesquite collaborated with bellamy on these extensions now, both of the sets that i picked up are the 18 inch length. So the length is consistent with these two sets. Let'S get into the colors all right, so this color is heiress. Let me show you a close-up of it and i'm gon na when i'm editing this video, i'm gon na mess with it, to make sure that the color is coming across like true to how i see it in real life, but on the viewfinder it looks pretty Accurate okay and then next, i'm going to show you guys the color tan lines and this color does have a root to it. You know what let me actually hold this up for you like this, so you can see how much root, so it is about two inches, but it does start to kind of blend out after one inch. So it's not a huge root. That'S the color tan lines. So if you watch the bellamy video that they have where they show you the entire range of all their colors and i'll link that video, in the description when i looked at this color as well as when i looked at it on their website, it looked a Little bit warmer to me, but when i actually received it, i was pleasantly surprised that it was actually pretty ashy like this is definitely an ash blonde. So let's compare these colors to the color 60, which is again kind of like a staple color on any website that you might be shopping for extensions. So this is the color 60. and now we're going to compare that with the color tan lines so 60 and then tan lines. So you can see they're very similar. If you know kind of hair stylist speak, i would say that these are definitely the same level. This color 60 has a little bit more ash tone to it, but there you go, that's the comparison side by side and now, let's compare with the color heiress this color, i was so confused about. I couldn't really tell on the website, because it looks so light in the pictures, but then, when i watched the bellamy video where they actually like showed them holding it up next to other colors, it looked quite a bit darker, so you can see when i received It it's definitely darker than the color 60., and most of that darkness is coming from like the depth of the ash tones that are in this, like there's, definitely kind of like violet and blue tones that make it look darker. There you go and then now we'll compare all three side by side, so there you go so as you can see, these colors are very much close together in terms of the lightness, but they just have varying levels of kind of ash tones in them. So next we'll go to the demo and i'll show you guys how i put in all five pieces into my hair, it's time for the demo portion of the video okay. So, first of all, i want to show you what my hair looks like. This is me with no extensions. Obviously, you can see my hair is fairly long, but it is on the thinner side um. I recently had tape extensions in and when i took them out, i always feel bald and i just like want hair to pick me up. So here we go, i'm going to demonstrate to you how i normally put all five pieces in my hair and then i'll show you both colors as well. So i'll do the side pieces with one color on one side and the other color on the other side. So you can see that really i can wear both colors pretty easily so with the five pieces, we'll start with the larger pieces. Basically, you get one piece that has four clips: that's going to be the widest piece and then you get two of these three clip pieces that are a little bit narrower. So what i normally do is, i start with the three clip piece and you can see just how easy this is to do because i'll do it all pretty much without a mirror. Just looking in the viewfinder, you can see by the way that there is definitely some difference between my natural hair, which is a little warmer versus this color eras, which is a little bit ashier. But it's not enough that it would be noticeable that there's anything in my hair. So that's piece number one. Next i go up just a touch from there and i'm still kind of halfway up the ear, maybe and i'll clip my hair up. So next i go in with the largest piece, so this is going to be the four clip weft. So you can see that just with the two pieces, you already see quite a bit of volume, okay, so time to put in the last three clip piece and the trick here is if your hair is not super thick already, which, if you're wearing extensions, it's probably Not just make sure that you don't go up too much higher than you know just right above the ears. Otherwise, you might not have enough hair to cover it and then the wefts can actually peek through and we'll just clip that in in the back and there we go. So that's the majority of the hair in so i want you guys to see that you know 140 grams. When you look at the rest of the options on the site, it doesn't look like a lot, but when you actually put it in especially if you already have longer hair, it is plenty like if i with my hair, if i were to wear anything more than This it's going to start to look over the top you guys can imagine like this. Hair is straight right now, if i were to curl it, it would add so much thickness and volume. So next, i really want to show you the difference between these two colors. So on this side, i'm going to clip in the color heiress and on this side i'm going to clip in the color tan lines. So you can really see the difference and to actually make it even more obvious. I'M going to bring all this hair back so that you're really only looking at the pieces in the front, and then you can see what the hair looks like so for the pieces in the front. My suggestions for how to blend it and make it look the most natural don't go too high up in the hair, and the other thing too is: if you go too high up in the hair, it can actually pull your hair quite a bit. So i normally come down to here and that's about where i'll place. That piece and the other thing that i do as well. When i clip the pieces up here that are going to go on the side, i don't clip them right at the root and that's just something that i've noticed. If you clip them too close to the root, it can kind of pull at your natural hair, and we don't want any bald spots, or at least i don't so. What i do is i come down just a little bit from the root and clip in you got ta make sure you leave enough room for it all right. So there we go. This is the side where i've got aeris. Okay, you can see like it definitely looks cooler on this side than this side and now we'll fill in this side. So i'm just gon na take a good chunk of hair and clip it up again coming in not quite at the root, just give it a little bit of space so that it doesn't pull and there we go, and so on this side i have the color Tan lines um, let me make sure none of the darker colors in there. So there you go. You can kind of see that there's a little bit of a different look on this side versus this side. This side is definitely on the warmer side and over here we're looking quite a bit cooler, so you know the reason i wanted to demonstrate. That is because, obviously you know these colors when you're looking at them next to each other. They might look pretty different, but actually in your hair, you know you could pretty much wear both colors. If you're somebody like me, it's just a personal preference of what look you're going for so guys. Overall, i am super impressed with these extensions honestly. I i think that for the price they're awesome, if you have long hair - and you just want to wear your hair straight and you just want to fill in for volume - this is the perfect extension, because everything else that i've ever bought on their site and i've Bought their khaleesi extensions um, i want to say i bought something else from them before, but i don't remember, i definitely have the khaleesi extension um. Those extensions are way too thick, so they had like 10 pieces to them, and i remember i was only ever putting in like maybe five pieces, so if you have long hair already, if you have hair that's on the finer side, those are perfect um. When i compare it with something like this, like wearing a halo, i find that these clip-ins are actually a lot more comfortable, especially if you're going to be like moving around whipping your hair around. I mean obviously you're not going to want to do like head banging moves in these, but i think that when you're, just like dancing or moving around, if you're going to have something like this in your hair all day, i think the clips are a lot more. Like sturdy, because i've definitely had this thing fly out of my hair once um, that's a story for another day, but yeah these these clips are awesome. I think that the thickness is perfect, just to add a little fullness to your hair. I'M super happy i'll. Definitely hang on to both of these colors. I think the color i like the most is tan lines. I think i just love how it's it's not warm like. I don't want to say that this is a warm color, but it just has such a brightness to it. It'S like he really zac mesquite. You know the the guy that collaborated with bellamy on this. He really just nailed the right color with this like just the right brightness. It'S not warm. It'S not cool. It'S just like that. Ultra light blonde and i really like the root as well, because a lot of us blondes are you know, kind of darker. Naturally, even if you are a natural blonde color, it's usually still a little bit darker at the root. So you know that just will blend a little better if your roots happen to peek through or if you place, one too high or something um and you have a little root. If you just had like a bright blonde underneath it might stick out more so yeah. These are gorgeous, don't hesitate if you're looking at them now who they would not be good, for. I think that these would not be good for somebody that has short thick hair. I think you're going to need a lot more weight and a lot more pieces to blend that into your hair. So if that's you look at something else, maybe look at like their lily hair or the khaleesi hair. I think those are a good option for people with short blunt cuts, but if you don't have that, i think you're gon na love these that's it for me. I hope you guys enjoyed this video check out some of my other videos on this channel. Please, like please subscribe, and i hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the day. Bye

RamenYT: Have literally been debating over there TWO!!!! Thank you sooo much for this! Might go with tan lines even though not a fan of the root

Visual Max: my mom has 19 inch of hair, alone. she's just ordered a volume weft from bellami in the color walnut brown. end its looks so natural you cant even tell she's wearing a weft of extensions.

SamanthaSmith •: How do you prevent your extensions from slipping out? Mine does this as soon as I clip them in unfortunately

Barkley: Thank you for this video, it's a big help.

Google User: From a 20 + year extension wearer. I’m not tall & my hair is very long. I get 26 inch or longer and it looks natural because my actual hair is 26 + inches long. Also if curl the hair it’s going to be even shorter. I would never want anything less than 24 inches and that’s even too short

Doores Hair: I love your video so much, Could you review our product ?

lovess80: Where is that set from thats rooted ? Love the thickness please tell
