Applied and let process for about 35 minutes

Hi, i'm Redken brand ambassador Silvia Ruiz and today we're doing a grave coverage root. Touch-Up on my client Lauren we're using red khun's cover fusion in level 5 and n mix with 20 volume. I love the coverage of this line and how beautifully multi-faceted the color really is so love the creamy consistency of this line. It ensures effective and even saturation and just makes application a breeze. So having gray hair is not something we talk much openly about and we mainly take care of it in secrecy and especially if you're dealing with this hair issue at a young age. So I really just want to shed some light on how common this is, and I can't tell you how many times a young client will come in a little uncomfortable with having gray and in reality, gray, isn't really just affected by age and Greg at a young Age is actually fairly common, which is why I want to show today's process on my gorgeous and super young client. Keeping clean sections and applying in four even quadrants keeps the area's organized clean and ensures perfect saturation. So after rinsing, the hair I like to go over the previously colored hair with red can shades eq gloss to refresh the color and add major shine to the hair, find the right formula to the right zone. Maximizes color result, while minimizing stress on the hair, then I finished the hair with a blowout and some beach waves to reveal the results. As you can see, even coverage, beautiful color and a natural-looking result. You

Julie A.: My hair started going gray when I was 17. At 37, I stopped covering it with hair dye. I'm 40 now and am quite happy with not coloring it. Have you thought about doing a video on natural gray hair styling, or even a video on women who purposely dye their hair gray/silver?

Islander Lover: I started getting white hair at 24, and I have dark brown hair. Now, at 37 it's already everywhere and it affected my confidence tbh. But watching this and seeing others on the same boat, kind of gives me a push...so thank you❤️

Fearless Girl: As I watch your video, I notice how gentle, thoughtful, and methodical you are in handling your client's hair....you have such a kind approach. I think this caught my attention because it's such a stark contrast to my first visit at a salon. The stylist was so rough and rushed through the process, it was unpleasant. Good on you! Your clients are fortunate to have you.

Brit Zimmerman: My first gray started in my early twenties, I blame chronic illness and family (deaths) trauma for it but I had no idea it’s that common actually ;) good thing I’m blonde so it doesn’t stand out as much as it does on darker hair but still pretty annoying!

free sia: I started getting gray hair at the age of 17, now I'm 26 I cover it regularly but sometimes I get tired and I just let it be I'm sick with people making it seem like a disease or something to be ashamed of!!! It's natural and very human so please ladies don't lose your self confidence over this

LittleDoe: Thank you! I started going gray at 22... and had a full blown breakdown. luckily I’m a dark blonde... but it’s my dads fault since he started going grey at 20 years old!

Jenny Liggins: I started going grey noticeably around 39. I'm nearly 41 and dye my hair often. I love how fresh I feel after I colour it and although I dint have an issue with anyone else going grey...I've decided I love the glossy...rich colour far to much and it makes me feel good. That's the most important think....do your thing :)

Pixievette: Loving this ❤ Fabulously brunette. Ms. Silvia , luv how you bust these gray myths on how to handle coloring grey. Especially! the one you did for us blonde gals ; that are told to color darker to cover gray. Redken Color fusion rocks just like you. ⚘

virgoj88: Looks exactly like my grays! I started growing grays in my late 20s now I'm 39. My touch ups only last 3-4 weeks. I have to cover with touch up spray in between visits.

sulivenia silva ramos: It looks so natural, loved it

Joan Gentile: I have a lot of gray hair. I usually use ash brown to get rid of the red undertones in my brown hair. It looks much better!! I love the color!!

Gig Life With Lexi: SO nicely done! I just LOVE watching your videos!! xo

iwantascreenameplz: Honestly I think gray hair looks so good on brunettes, and she can definitely pull it off. She looks great both ways, and you did an awesome job making her brunette hair look totally natural and flawless. ^_^

Username Taken: I started going grey at 11 on my right side at the temple, 32 now and about 40% grey, dyed my hair more times than I care to remember!

Catherine Graham: I LOOOOOOVE her gray, I think it looks gorgeous!! ❤️❤️❤️ I can't wait until mine gets more gray in it

C B: Beautiful model and great job on her coverup!

1983 original dw: I'm only 36 and grey almost all over but love this as I'm very dark nothing showed up now I can experiment with bold bright colours. Embrace it ladies young or old ❤

Verbs describe us #culturacastildeviata #artgoeson: got first gray hairs at 24, thankful for hair coloring more and more :)

Rosie: My mom is 91 with dementia and still refuses to see grey on her head, her short hair cut must be kept up and her eyebrows done I got you momma! ‍♀️‍♀️

Dee B: Her color is beautiful! Looks like you highlighted her, super impressive!!‍♀️

qthoshi: The application is so satisfyingly smooth.

lizzielou742: Nice!! I’ve been covering mine since I was 30. I’m going to ask for a gloss next time!!

Emma Chase: re: preventing or slowing Grey Hair. Grey hair can be caused or accelerated by Copper Deficiency. I just read that recently b/c I had a friend with Crohn's who became severely Copper Deficient. His hair turned grey at a young age.

Faye Gallosa: one of my classmate back in 3rd grade noticed that I already had gray hair. I thought it was a joke but it really was there. being teases about bothered me at first but then I got used to it. I really wanna try this one soon

Faye Gallosa: one of my classmate back in 3rd grade noticed that I already had gray hair. I thought it was a joke but it really was there. being teases about bothered me at first but then I got used to it. I really wanna try this one soon

Berviffy: Beautiful color, perfect for her complexion

Jai M: Fabulous outcome! She’s beautiful! Why is it so hard for grays to hold coverage? What do you recommend for this problem?

Tracey Lynn: Gorgeous work as always Silvia

Lupe Luis: Hi Silvia, I am having problems coloring my brown hair at root area. It is about this color but when I cover the grey it immediately pulls red tone and the rest is nicely ash brown. I dont suit the warm brown. Should I use 5NN or do you recommend another color for hair that pulls red too much? Also what shade for the EQ gloss? loving your new cut and your lips are way better now i see you were developing a lisp from before. You are so gorgeous. Thanks for posting you made my day and gave me hope. ps I tried overtone espresso and it pulled burgandy on the top eeek!!! Loved it very nice but taking forever to wash out. Should I try black?

sweetestthing: Wow, I was told by a styles that if you cover up grey it is hard because it pulls warm tones to your hair....???... this looks great! Wish you could do mine! I'm blonde my roots a a little darker and i have grey just on top.... would love to see one on a blonde client!! Ty

C D: Amazing job girlie

GenXer™: Very pretty color. Only problem with continuing to dye your roots dark, is it's a never ending battle. Damaging over time and expensive. Also, difficult and pricey over time if you want to go light. I dyed my hair dark brown for years (I grayed early), and kept getting that "skunk streak" line every 4-5 wks (my hair grows fast). So, I decided to go much lighter. I've spent nearly 2k this past year to go more blonde (should be there by spring/summer) and the grey roots aren't as noticeable when they grow out (thank you balayage and highlights!). End the headaches, ladies. Ditch the dark brown and go lighter!

Katie Hedges: I let my grey grow out and love it!! Stop colouring ladies - silver is so stunning!

fullpinklips01: Love the color! Gorgeous

Nicole H: I am 34 and have a ton of grays especially at the front of my hairline a gray streak. My hair is naturally dark brown but Id really like to eventually go your color. I have been using black/dark brown on my roots from sallys several years now (yikes, I know its gonna be tough!!). What do you suggest so I can eventually have a nice dimensional blonde color like yours or atleast heavily highlihghted? Thanks

Siberi Melo: Perfect. Maravilhosa. Adorei seu trabalho. Lugar lindo e a cliente ficou perfeita . Adoraria ir num salão cuidar dos cabelos e receber um champanhe enquanto fico linda kkkkkkk . Parabéns

SUNLESS SKINCARE ☀️GLO2GO: Omg I am like 75% gray at 40! I started getting grays at 23, her brown hair is so beautiful it makes me want to go dye my blonde ends that I worked so hard and forever for.

Pittsburgh girl: Your client looks so beautiful! Great job!

-Malinowski-: Got my first grey hair at 17, now I'm 20 (soon 21) and I feel so unconfident... I'm afraid to show my siblings and mom that I have grey hairs. Im afraid they will judge me, even though my brother got his first grey hairs in his twenties. I'm not scared that strangers will judge me. My nieces christening is coming soon, and I'm thinking of all the possible ways to cover my grey hairs, ways I don't have to spend so much money

Matthew Hurst: I always had graying hair mostly in my 30's and I did get a few one to 2 in my 20's and my mom would say don't pull it out or you'll get 2 in it's place. I didn't know until today other women suffered with this also I was embarrassed because I thought it was just me! But I'm 48 and glad I'm not alone and I'm not the only one! Thank you for this vlog it sure made me feel better about myself because I've always been hard on myself!

Sandra Arellano: Amazing work as always!

Rachel Cross: I’d pay big bucks to have u as my stylist sooo sick of having my hair destroyed or not getting the results I want. They either chop it all off, color it too dark or don’t listen to what I want regardless of the level stylist they are. I’ve been all over trying to find a really good stylist & I live in fla!

💚 Amy-Lee Angel 💜: It's strange how my grays are actually softer than my dark hair. It feels so silky. My dark hair feels coarse. I thought it would be the opposite. I don't like the gray strands though. The salt and pepper look makes me look older. I would prefer my whole head to be gray/white. That would be so pretty.

Laura C: Please make a video on how you style your hair like that!! I absolutely love it!!

SG34: I am struggling with my grey on dark brown hair. I have to dye it every 2-3 weeks and i hate it!! The dye burns my scalp and I have dandruff and itching constantly as a result. Its such a struggle and im fed up of putting poison on my skin all the time. My sister has the same problem but she just leaves the grey but I honestly think it makes her look 15 years older.

Deyanira Oseguera: Que bonito le quedó felicidades

Miranda Ramirez: I love this! May I ask, what color or toner do you use on yourself ? I would love this color on me

Andrea B: After rinse which product was applied all over? Thank you for your tips I will apply it on my hair

Rose: My husband who is 26 is about 30% grey. It’s so normal !

Elsa Canelon: Hi Elle. What product for shine and protection did you use after removing the color..? Thank you.! BTW SFco is my home town. I now live in Fl. Cheers

Pingu: This is such a clean job - my hairdresser gets hair dye all over my forehead :_(

Cindy Johnson: Can you add the SEQ to ends the last 10-20 min of processes to touch up ends or do you have to or rather like to do at shampoo bowl? Also how long did you leave on? Thanks!!

JuicyJuice1313: Is 20 vol the best for covering stubborn grays? I use drugstore boxed dye and it never covers grays well. Thank you so much :)

emma smith: I lost alot of hair after having covid, but now it’s growing back white! I’m wondering if dying it blonde (highlights) will be lower maintenance long term than dying it dark?

CRISTINA v: silvia what gloss nr u used for this case? thanks

Fashionista Hairstyles: I love these videos they’re just so like real and honest and just like perfect

TheCorrkyme: I've been using the same EXACT products in this video for about a year, leave it on for 45 because I thought maybe they're stubborn. Redken sucks at covering grey. I only have greys around my hairline, maybe 15%. I have fine curly hair that I only wash once a week, don't heat style at all. Don't blow dry and don't use sulfates. It lasts about 2 washes in my hair. I'm looking to try another brand. If anyone has recommendations for any brands that cover grey's please let me know.

Emilia Lahtinen: I'm allergic to PPD and I have gray hair. Could you please do a video how to dye hair without PPD? I'm so sad that no hair dresser in my town knows about PPD free colors ❤️❤️

Sandy g.: I would grow it out. For example, I can’t imagine Claire from Bon Appetit Test Kitchen without her gray. Adds charm.

Therese Frantz: Is this permanent or temp. Color ? Looks great !

P M: Living with grey roots every 3 weeks is just awful and very hard to get a nice even colour in a lighter shade, ok if u keep your hair a level 5 or darker but level 6 or 7 , its next to impossible to cover the grey, it always has a gold hue and never blends with the rest of your hair

justsue: I have been gray at my roots since 20 and I'm over 50. I dye it at home every 2 weeks, got too expensive and time consuming going to salon. Now I'm trying to bleach and lighten it so not so obvious. Sigh

MIMvlog: Beautiful!!

goska uss: Please do a video on tips how to transition from natural blond hair to gray gradually. I'm in my eary 30s. I have natural strawberry blond hair. Pretty thin hair but a fair amount of it. Stick straight and soft. I'm getting a fair white hairs mosty around my hairline. It's gotten to the pint that it looks like white highights abouve my ears. Women in my family historically have gone white not gray pretty early in their lives. To be honest I'm looking forward to this time so I can play with pastel colours etc. However I's like to make a transition from strawberry blond (almost a readhed on second and third day hair) to this white as smooth as possible. I'd like to do it without damaging my oretty healthy hair in the process too. I've searched interned hight and low an all I can find is how to make transition from dying you hair to letting it grow out to gray less noticeably, with highlights lowlights babylights bleaching etc. But NOTHING on hw to transition from natural to grey. Thank you in advace for any advice

Crystal Sun: I've also done root color for my gray hair. Which shampoo and conditioner I could use for my hair?

Haydee M: Her hair got so shiny! What color gloss did you use? Is the NN series darker than the regular fusion line?

Brenda Ann: Looks beautiful... :)

Gisel Lopez: Do you do equal parts for better gray coverage ?

Rusty Katt: Great job!!

HayGurl Hay: What shade of the EQ gloss did you use on her hair? My shade is also 5NN but I'd love some gloss!

Aamanda271: Not sure what to do about my greys, I am 30 but it’s not at my roots, it’s just random entire long strands of hair from root to tip ‍♀️

Sarah Rose Alonzo: Definitely adding in a Demi next time to refresh my ends

Carine Abi Daoud: I have had grey hair since I was 15 years old. I am 40 now. So when people asked me it does not make feel uncomfortable

Sylvia Lopez8099: Love it!

Leigha Fields: Hi! What color is shades eq did you use for the gloss? Thanks!

bleak tripod: I've had gray hair since I was 16 or 17. Now AT 25 I have multiple gray strands on the sides of my head.

Heart Energy with Elizabeth Muir: This looks stunning. What was the gloss called you put on second please?

Kameron York: Great work! You're so gentle with the hair too! And OMG, where did you find pink gloves? I need those.

linda sullivan: hello love your vids new to them seen a few,, i have a hair dilema wondering if you can help me, need your expertise advice. I colored my hair last week with box dye , i chose soft medium ash blond and it came it out orange,, i tried to remove the brass color with various methods . I used purple shampoo and blue shampoo to no avail then i tried dyi treatments , vinegar, baking soda , anti dandruff shampoo all to no avail . My hair is very porous so i think thats why it turned out orange , i have natural light brown hair to begin with. I think i should of only left the dye on my hair for 10 minutes and not the recommended 30 min time. I need to get this orange out as nothing is working . I called the hotline for the box dye and they said i have 2 choices either go back light brown box dye or use medium cool blond cause it has blue hues in it and it should cancel out the orange . What is ur recommendation ? I cannot go to the salon as i can't afford it . Thanks so much

Drashti Tailor: Hey! can you tell me how long this will stay?

Cristina Andrea: Her roots looks lighter and with a hint of orange, after her first wash she will uncover the grays and will make it lighter. She needed doble pigment there.

KeeptheFaith: I started graying in the crown area my early twenties

Linda Khan: Absolutely beautiful..

Anita Riggs: Gorgeous!!!

J C T: What's that utensil you used to twist the hair dye out ? X

VICKI VICKERY: What gloss did u use after you rinsed out the color?

Daniela Norte: I don’t know if you will Respond to this but will you do a updated video with the new formula that came out for no brassiness ? Also what color did you use for the rest of the hair for the shine?

Kiana Ontiveros: I’m greying this bad and I’m 25, also have never dyed my hair in my life. I guess it’s time

Edith Dlp: I am only 45 and had mostly gray hair since 23.

YouShotMyRobot: My best friend started getting gray hairs in high school. I never thought gray hair would be something to be ashamed of because if I got them I’d be cool like she is.

Maria Johanne Pedersen: I am 33 and I have NO gray hair yet AT ALL. This is all down to genetics. I guess some are more lucky than others.

A Box: And here I thought my five or six gray hairs were a problem.

Faye Gallosa: you both have great glowy skin

Jamie O: My roots always just go orange when I touch em up using 20 volume. Ugh. I'm wondering if I should use 30vol?

Hélia Alves: The hashtag "blonde" is probably a mistake since the model is actually a brunette. I just thought I would mention it to help out. Great video, i enjoyed it! Thank you <3

ana222: Can you use shampoo to wash hair dye out of hair? I’m going to start dying my hair at home and wasn’t sure If you can

Ashley Miller: her hair looks perfect

Francheska Smith: Great! which brand of hair spray and on what on what strength, are you using?

Lynn Rose: Her hair is gorgeous.

M Ramirez: I'm 29 and my hair is all gray now!
