Hello and welcome to the world of craig. Yes, that's me, i'm craig, and this is my channel where we talk about everything care and sometimes sometimes a little bit of beauty. Now, you've, probably seen in the intro, i probably inserted a blooper or a clip of me being silly, i'm going to be talking about the new shine infinity from weller. Now i think this is already launched in the us. I think it's just come out here in the uk, and i did a poll in my instagram stories to ask if you wanted to see an overview, and you did so here. We are so i'm gon na make that a really short intro, yes for a change without further ado, let's get into the new shine affinity, zero, lift glaze from weller. So before we get into my first thoughts on shinefinity a little bit of housekeeping number one. The sun keeps going in and out, london apologies. If that is slightly distracting, i do have a ton of lights here. Number two. I have a new chair, which is great. It means that the setup or the height might be slightly different. I'Ve tried to make it look exactly as it used to look and last, but by no means least, if you enjoyed this, please give it a like dad's thumbs up and make sure you subscribe to my channel and you hit the bell. You need to turn the bell on when you subscribe to make sure you see that everything everything will see everything that is new coming here on my channel, i've got loads of stuff coming up loads of stuff, planned. I'M posting weekly at the moment so big up to that, and thank you very much to all of you who have subscribed and who are following me and coming back to have a look and see what i'm getting up to or subscribed yeah who have subscribed and Are following me and my videos, i really appreciate all of you because without you, there wouldn't be a channel and i wouldn't get a chance to make this video these videos, and also this is not sponsored um, i very briefly without giving too much away. I was given some shinefinity, maybe about a year ago to try, didn't look like this. It came in kind of test tubes in the in the tubes that weren't all fully um didn't have the full livery of the brand. If you like, i'm not going to say anything more than that other than i was giving them a really grateful tooele for doing that, and i enjoyed testing them, trying them out and seeing what could be done with them. But this video is not sponsored. These are my genuine thoughts, um and i was gifted these as well, but i was not under obligation to make any content around them, but, like i said, i asked you and you want to see a video now i have been using these in salon um and I'M going to insert a little bit of a clip still or a video here of what i've been doing with them. Um in the last or one of the looks, i think the particular one that i'm thinking of that i made some content around now. What is shine infinity? As always, i'm grappling onto the tubes shine infinity is weller's new, offering in the category of translucent zero, lift demi permanent color. We might talk about comparisons a bit later on. Very briefly, i don't like to really compare products, colour products specifically because they are all different, but well obviously, is the biggest most popular color house in the world. So it was time for them to add something to their stable light. Shine vinity. That is a zero lift glaze that makes the hair super glossy that has um no ammonia in it. It contains no silicon, they are paraben free. They contain no animal products, they're not tested in animals, they're cruelty free. So it's quite an impressive um offering really in that category. There are, if i'm correct, if i can pull it from my memory, there are 29 shades in the line. These are just three here. I'Ve got nine zero, five uh nine six one and seven eight one. They all have a zero in front of them and that i'm guessing means that they are translucent um, and you know i have been testing them out. I'Ve been using them in salon, i've been getting great results now. This is kind of like a first look overview. It'S not i'm not going to go heavily into. You know if i think it's the best thing since sliced bread. I think it's a brilliant product and i think the formulation is great um. Therefore, the chemists behind the product who formulate these hair colors for well are really incredible people, some of whom i have had a chance to talk to, which is quite amazing and quite mind-blowing for me, because i'm such a geek now, let's have a quick look. Obviously it's a box with a tube of hair color. In it, these tubes are 60 ml. Okay, super cute super cute little tubes, there 60 mil um, obviously sealed, as you would expect yeah. This is zero. Seven eight one um, i really like the the packaging and the liver in the way it looks, i think, it's very attractive, i'm going to actually insert as well once i think about it. I'M filming this off the cuff, without tons and tons of notes, i'm going to insert a shot of the consistency of the product, because i think i made a reel on my instagram, which is popping up on screen now that has that very texture in it now 60Ml of color there are two developers. There is a developer, that's for a brush and a bowl which is the one that's been inserted there and then there's one for a bottle application, which gives you a slightly runnier consistency. I did start off using the brush and bowl, which is the one i inserted, but i have since been using the bottle developer in salon. I'Ve probably used this. I tested this out, as i said before, but now i've been using it in salon. I'Ve probably done 12 to 20 clients heads of hair with it with shinefinity, so um i've been getting to see the results on clients before i was testing on dolly heads, and i was swatching out and stuff like that, so it does make a difference as far As i'm concerned to test it on a dolly head, as opposed to a client, i think you get a much truer result on a client. I love a dolly, obviously love a mannequin head. Now there are two developers: the developers contain two percent peroxide and they need to have that peroxide in them. I don't have a bottle of developer here, unfortunately, but they need to have that peroxide in them, because shy infinity very cleverly is an oxidative dye. So shinefinity doesn't contain any direct dye and the reason that the fab peeps the um, formulating chemists at weller decided to do that or formulated like that is because shy infinity has an up to six weeks lasting you know wearing in the hair, so it lasts. Quite a long time for a translucent, demi-permanent glaze. In my opinion, the results are very translucent. Super shiny makes the hair feel very soft, the lack of any silicones or parabens or or anything you know it. I don't like to use the word clean, because clean is a very loaded, uh word at the moment. I think there's a lot of fear-mongering around in the hair colouring cosmetics industry, but it means that you know there's nothing in there. That'S going to make the hair feel dry or make the hair feel um de-moisturized, you know, so it does make the hair feel very soft as well. Processing wise lots to remember in one take processing wise. You can leave it for up to 10 to 20 minutes or from 10 to up to 20 minutes. I am one of those people that i will always follow. Manufacturer'S instructions and i like to get maximum deposit, so i have been applying it to dry hair and using my normal techniques, my zone tones and my shadow roots, and my you know my kind of flash toning as well at the basin. I don't do a lot of that, but a little bit of that and i've been leaving off for 20 minutes to get maximum deposit and getting really great results. You can leave it for less. You can apply on damp hair. That'S why there is the bottle developer. That'S why they've, given you the option of the two, it's i think i mentioned it's a one-to-one ratio with the developer and it does both of them mix up to a really great consistency, super easy to apply. It has a very light, airy kind of gel like texture, i don't think there's an awful lot in the two between the bottle and the brush, sorry, the bowl and the brush and the bottle developer. But i just like something: that's runny, because i find it goes on quicker at the section obviously they've given us both so that we can have a preference um. I'M i can't tell you as to the sort of wear of the product and how long my clients are finding that it lasts in comparison to what i've been using more of that in a second. But i have been getting great results and um. I did a client of mine who is a face framed very, very blonde sort of level 10 lots and lots of highlights um tipped out. You know the sort of commercial looks that we do in salon day-to-day and i used um eight seven, three and eight one. Three, i'm so used to a different to a number it to a lettering system other than numbers. So it was uh, nine, seven, three and nine one three. I think it was half and half one to one ratio of those and it was so beautiful roots. First left it on for ten minutes, then pulled it through to the mid lengths and ends. Um, oh, go on then i'll insert a video clip of that here and then we combed it through to the mid-length lens and left it for a little bit longer and the result was gorgeous. So my first impressions of shinefinity are really good. You know we use. I certainly use so much demi permanent color and it's you know it's interesting after all, these years of using a particular product to try something new and to see what can be done with it. Just to add to that i think, there's 29 shades here in the uk. I'M not sure. If there are a couple more in the us, i can't can't be 100 um. I know there are two boosters, so there are two additives: it's um there's a violet one and i think there's a blue one. So there are two additives so that you can kind of customize all of the shades. That was one very, very long, edit. Okay. So let me share something else with you, but in the next clip now after that very very long single take controversial. Yet bold, oh just to add as well. There is a clear there is a clear that has no um tone to it, so you can dilute all of the shades and obviously, if you're zone toning and root shadowing, sometimes that's really helpful to add to an existing formula to sheer it out further controversial. Yet bold one of the questions i've been getting a lot on instagram and um yeah on instagram, just on instagram is and there's no elephant in the room. It'S just me in a brown roll neck and shinefinity is, is shy, infinity the same as shays eq? Is it what's it like? Is it like chasing cube? Does it work like shady q? Can you do this with it? Can you do that with it like jtq as a lot of you watching this may know or that come to watch the content here on my channel? Thank you very much again. I have used shady q gloss for a long time um over 20 years now. I think, and it's something i it's a product - i love it's a product. I helped to grow the brand in this country um, it's something that myself and all of the peeps in the salon use a lot of it's. You know, and it is a really good, solid product. I don't really like to make comparisons and i'm not trying to stare the pot or be controversial but, in my opinion, shy infinity and, as i said, i haven't used it for an awfully long time. Shy infinity is not the same as shady q gloss, and i think that's a really good thing. I think it's great that well have formulated something that will give us that high shine hair. That feels incredible looks incredible that we can create all of the looks with, but there isn't a carbon copy of shaded q gloss. There are a few of those around. There are a couple of uh lines who have formulated things that are very similar because shade eq is a great product, but shinefinity is something that is a different kind of product, because it's an oxidative dye, those of you that are chase eq users. When you first started using the product, or even now, when you mix up something - and you see the direct dye start to develop, you know the vbs, the nas, the peas, if you're a jtq user, you'll know what i'm talking about. Sometimes that can be a bit disconcerting. I am very used to it and i'm sure a lot of you are very used to it and i'm not ever going to knock a product that i have used for 20 years, because it is a great product that doesn't happen with shinefinity. So because it's an oxidative dye, it doesn't have any direct dye. So for me that is also slightly odd in that i'm expecting to see my bold start to turn color on. You know change color or start to deepen in color, and i'm i'm expecting to see the hair do the same. It doesn't really do that. The color develops, obviously whatever whatever shade you're using develops in the hair, helps to neutralize whatever it is that you want to cancel out neutralize or add to, but it doesn't deepen as such. So that is something that's a kind of a learning curve and you have to get used to and also, i think as well, if you are like a hardcore, redken user, sometimes it's quite tricky to get used to the the numbering system. I know these numbers from or way back because i've been hairdressing since the beginning of time um, but it is still something that is different. So to answer everyone's question that was dming me when i posted my reel last week. Are they? Is it the same? No. It'S not, is it a brilliant product? Yes, is it definitely worth testing out? Of course, i think it's worth testing everything. I have a box of color in my foil cupboard of plenty that has everything in there it's got schwarzkopf matrix, you know affinage, it's got a bit of everything in there so that i know what's out there and i know what's available to us. So my final thoughts on shinfinity is it's a great product, and i know that well, i have put an awful lot of time and energy and development. You know working so hard to make this a really contemporary product that we can use in salon to get really great results. It'S easy to use, and you know um starting off with a great array of colors and that we can be creative with and give our clients the hair that they want. Heavens for betsy, they were a couple of long clips weren't they. I don't um edit. My videos here to have the jump clips like a lot of youtubers. Do it's just personal preference. I i find it easy to edit in single clips it. I find it much quicker and obviously being a youtuber. It'S not my full-time job and excuse me. I do this on top of being in the salon and everything else that i do the brand work and blah blah blah. So i just find it much easier to edit. Do you is that? Okay with you guys, i mean that's how it's gon na be, but yeah anyway, no jump clip edits for me. I totally get why people do it, but not for me as always. Thank you very much for watching this video you've got to the end. I really appreciate that. Linnie: Hi, used for the first time yesterday! Loved it! Used 8/98 at the basin to cancel out warmth in balayage pieces - worked like a dream! I observed it and only left on for 5 mins (I didn’t want it to darken any further) will wait to hear back from client regarding the longevity. It’s felt so soft afterwards - great shine.

shockalockabocka: I’ve been using SF for a couple of months and I’ll sum it up the way Beth Minardi would. Alkaline demis like Color Touch have a finish that is very opaque like coffee w cream in it. They are great for lowlights bc they last forever and can cover grey 100% mixed in her method, and correcting harder to neutralize underlying pigment like copper. But they tend to rough the hair up a little more bc they are alkaline and can bump the base. SF starts out slightly alkaline and comes down to acidic towards the end, and has a finish more sheer like a glass of ice tea, u can see through it. It’s great for refreshing mid lengths while u have the regrowth formula on bc it’s so gentle. It’s great for blonds w/o worrying ur over toning and it going dark. They are also great for root shadows bc they lift out much easier than a CT RS would. I recently toned a warm balayage that had contributing 8,9, and 10 reflects with equal parts 9/61 and 7/81 for the full 20 min and it gave it a very pretty multitonal neutral to controlled warm finish - so it didn’t totally matten it in the same way a similar CT formula would. Also the full 20 min is needed to process for the advertised longevity and to match the swatch intensity imho.

Beautiful life: Hi, thank you so much for the amazing value! I’m not a hairdresser but I want to use it to make my hair shine but without changing the colour. Should I get the 00 one and just apply it on the hair as instructed or I should mix it with something?

gallagher103: Hi Craig :) I’ve not used it yet but I will give it a try Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Shinefinity

The Crafty Hairdresser Cards and Hair: Thank you so much for a great video with lots of info. I’m impatiently waiting on my Shinefinity order coming hopefully today and can’t wait to try it

Cariad Baths: As a client. I've seen this being advertised as a new product in the salon I go to. If I ask for it... Will it work on my greys or is it not suitable. (I'm about 50% grey now.).

frankie cox: Thanks Craig,, a really informative and unbiased review, thanks

Adriana Stamer: Hi, Craig! I’ve been using REDKEN shades eq mauve rose but it’s getting harder and harder to get it here in Germany so I thought about changing products. I don’t want just a pastel pink… I want this dusty rose that I had with the REDKEN. Is it the Wella Shifinity glaze pink a good option? Also, I still have the REDKEN developer that I used to mix with the shades eq. Could I use it with the shifinity? Thank you xoxo!

DeborahAngulie: Can you definitely promise that it won’t lift my natural hair? I tried shades eq several times for root shadows and unfortunately it always turned brassy after a couples of weeks with an ugly blocky root, which is growing out.

Erin Hardick: Disclaimer: Not a stylist I just work at a place that sells color etc. and I have access to professional products through a sister corporate pro store. To learn more than the company provides I have been watching literally hundreds of videos now and trying things on my own hair. To get some purple out of my hair I did a bleach bath - my hair apparently loves bleach because my natural level 3 hair got to about a 7 coppery with the bleach bath. I used the SF 05/98 and loved it! I am about 2.5 weeks out and do not follow prime care (very warm showers and wash 3-4 times a week) my hair is still shiny and the color has of course faded a bit, love it at the moment the /98 was able to cancel out the brassiness I had from the BB. I am going to continue to play with the SF for the next few months focusing on the 05/whatever to 07/something or other to see what I can get out of the hair. In my shop we do sell the made for consumer use Wella products and it is fun to compare the 2.

Miles Twist: Great video Craig! Will check this out - I haven’t used too many Wella products before

Manon Ferrari: Hello Craig, I am recovering my hair from having a chemical bleach burnt and a "bleach cut" with a reckless hairstylist. Now, My hair is not colored anymore (virgin hair) and I am legit scared to get a lift... I just want a clear gloss, so do you think I could use the shinefinity 2% developer with the 00/00 to get a shine boost? Should i get a patch test before or I should be fine? Thank you so much! I have been binge watching your videos and they are very informative

Anne Huijs: I’d love to test it on my own swatches ….

HBStep: This man is captivating in his knowledge and passion.

Taryn Collier: Hi Craig, Could I use the 7/81 shinefinity on my level 6 hair? I want to knock out brassiness and love the wella /81 undertone

chrissie5mac: Fabulous review , I will check this out for sure , thanks

Maria: Hi, I’ve lifted my level 3 hair to about level 8. I don’t mind warmth, but it is a strong muted orange shade with orange-yellow throughout. I’d like it to look a little more natural and cool. I was thinking to try 08/8 and clear 1:1. Do you think that shade is too strong blue to be used for this? Thank you!

Victoria Salmon: Thank you for sharing, very informative , I loved it and it taught me a lot. #neverstoplearning.

sun shine: Hi I only aware of this new product now . I usually tone my hi lighted hair in between with 10/69 Wella or 10/8 with the 3 0r 1.5% I must try this product.

Clifford James: Thank you for this

Frankie Warren: Question! Have you ever tried any Kevin Murphy products and/or what are your thoughts on them? Thanks ! ^^

Claudia Da Silva: Hi, can I use the 00/00 crystal glaze on any coloured hair?

CheerUp2: Do you have to have a license to buy the Shinefinity?

No Name: So is shades eq a toner ? If I put it in my bleached hair can I go on as usually with my root touch ups every 6 weeks or will it be a provlem? Because you said it’s a Demi permanent color I’m afraid What should I use to cancel out yellow and orange in a level 10 hair ?

Kitija Kornejeva: Can you use 6% developer?

shane Grim: Zero in front of the shade means zero lift

Ni Lu: Which one is less damaging? Shinefinity is still Alkaline about 7.10. What is better to keep cuticle maximum safe?

str c: does it cover first greys?or does revlon one better for that?thanka

I.D: Hello I bleached my hair to a balayage dark orange. Can you tell me what should i use to cover orange but still have some lightness..thank you❤
