Hi guys, okay, I'm back and as promised, I'm going to show you how I take down my senegalese twist or any form of hair extensions box, braids kinky twists. All of that stuff. I said I was doing some hair to do it. Today is exactly five weeks since I had my hair put in and literally as soon as I walk up that little voice in my head was like okay, you have had your money's worth. Take it out. Now, no don't brush your teeth! First! Okay! Now I'm joking, but literally as soon as I look at my Lightyear you're coming up, so I've already started and I'm going to show you what I'm using my stuff. Okay. So if you're anything like me, you're gon na want to lay down some sheets like that, so you don't get hair everywhere, I'm really particularly that way and then you're going to have a plastic bag with the hair that you're gon na throw away on take home. I don't usually use combs, but in this case, because it's been so long and I want to make sure I get all my hair out using my wide tooth comb. Okay and if your hair isn't that long and you can just use some scissors to cut your extensions down and then take them out or make it quick quite easier, I won't be doing that. That'S just for you guys to show you that you can do that and you're going to need some liquid. Okay, you can either use water in a spray bottle or a liquid leave-in or I don't know, and your water mix whatever you use, just bring your hair down. You can use that. I have a little bit of them, ozzie left and I'm just gon na use. It off or I've, been using it off okay and then also a moisturizer, a water-based moisturizer eye liquid one okay - and this is the karekare natural textures, hair milk and it's gon na focus. Okay. So I always start from the back, because I always take a day to take them down. So if you're busy - and you don't have time to dedicate to taking your extensions down and what you're gon na want to do - is start from the middle so that you can have your edges in your back to cover it and then take it down going through. And all that stuff, but yet I start from the back and, as I said, I've started every day I put all my hair and like a high top knot and then just pull the individual twist out now. If your hair isn't long, then you could cut okay and make it shorter, so it's easier to take them down, but I'm not going to do that because I might cut my own hair and yeah. So I start unraveling the twists like. I would regular twists that I had with my own hair, I always start from the end and a ruble, all my twists, all the time, okay and then just unravel, but be really careful because of the way these twists are done. The message: okay, but twisted thing - the rope twisted method that they do your hair, your actual hair, does become not tangled what it mixes in with the clock. They connect Your Honor. I can never say that works, but basically it makes this in versus synthetic fibers and sometimes, if you're, not careful. If there's like a knot and you pull it, you're, probably gon na snag your hair and cause your ends to dry out and break. So when you closer, so you can see and then just undo, and do it carefully like right there that's best, my hair, this one is my hair. This one is the other hair, so it has to be careful. All the ends will snag like right there. My hair is wrapped around it, so I just twist twist twist twist and there you go and just be careful and keep doing that. Okay, sometimes I'm so tempted to just like yank but um yeah that hurts so I don't do that. Keep going okay, and even when it gets to this point, still be careful because, as you're putting it out, it could rub rub on your ends. Okay, yeah! You can see it's still like entwined in my hair. Alright, this is it guys, okay and then, when it gets to this stage, I take my time go through and just finger detangle try to get all the heads out all right, and I do a few more until I have like enough twists to enough hair untwisted To detangle and twist up again, so I'm going to show you a couple more times, then I'll come back and show you how I wet it down and moisturize and detangle it. I'M gon na speed it up. I get a section this big /, thick. Okay, that's when I go in so you're going we're gon na, let quit whatever you have whatever mix you hair or whatever product you're using spray. It down get the ends and then you just continue to finger detangle while working the product or the liquid in, and I use the liquid so that when I comb my hair because I hate dry pain in my hair, I don't lose like a lot of hand. I don't have breakage, so you can get breakage that way, okay and I'm just pulling on my end. You guys know I like to put on my ends to get hair out and also to strip them out. Okay, and this much has come out of that section. Prior to using the coup, and then I go in start with my ends - work up literally don't want any hair in their clothes and tangles. This is all the hair I lost in that section, and that was like five twists. Okay, this includes the hair that I think if you can go out, it's not a lot, but it's quite a bit. Obviously, just I've had these in for five weeks, then I go in move somewhere driver I'll, tell you why I'm much driving my hair at the end? Okay, get my end just weed my invoked as always, and that's it. I do that all over my head. So it's all taken out - and I want to do that and I'll come back and tell you what I do afterwards. Ah, so usually, when I take my hair out of any form of extensions, I don't wash my hair the same day, so I'm not gon na wash my hair. Today I like to let my scout kind of settle down from all the tension I had from the braids. So what I'm going to do is on Friday, because it's Wednesday today on Friday, I'm gon na do my hair smoothie treatment. So if you don't know what that is I'll put a link there, I'm going to the hair smoothie treatment and then I'm also gon na trim my hair, and so you can check out my hair, smoothie and trim videos to the actual making of this movie and The application and trim video you can check those both out because that's what I'm gon na do and that's it. I had the Kristin for five weeks and she's back so I'm happy. I missed her but yeah guys thanks for watching kyle is here she's on her phone and y'all come say hello quickly.

MistressV1014: I finally got to use your method about 2 days ago when I took out my box braids. I experienced WAY less shedding than I usually do. I've been transitioning for a year, going to BC in a week or so, nervous but excited.

Tall Around The World: Wow, I never knew it took so much work to undo certain hairstyles. So much respect for your step by step vids.

AlwaysNaturalAngelic: Thank you for this! I generally choose not to wear weave, but you have convinced me to give Senegalese twists a try. You make them look gorgeous! Your videos are very helpful, I'll be sure to come back to them when I get my twists in (:

GittaAnnette: Hi Laila, quick question. I generally keep my twists in until 8-9 week mark. At the end/ root there is some times a hard patch of sheded hair and dirt. Has that ever happened to you? Do you use the same method demonstrated to separate your hair for the fake hair? I am 2 weeks off from taking off my hair.

L: Your hair is GORGEOUS! I'm well jealous. When I take my twists out, I lose quite a bit of hair. I leave them in for around 2 months. Any tips on how to prevent this? I'm glad that you've made this video, I NEVER moisturize my hair when taking it out.

malyasha7: Your hair is just so long and so beautiful! Sadly I took out my senegalese twists last week and it was just a big fail!!!!! I'm so happy you're back iI have really missed you

GracieO_says: I plan on taking out my twists next week so this was perfect timing!

Brianca Elaina: You honestly are the reason why I've decided to go natural.. I!! Thank you :)

teddipear: Oh man I LOVE your hairstyles! I can't wait for my hair tp grow as long as yours (or longer)!!

TheCoilWhisperer: Your hair smoothie has save my hair. I did one just this last weekend. All other store bought protein treatments has caused protein over-load... But not yours... Well once, but my silly tail went under a steamer this it.... doing waaaaaaay too much. I will always be grateful that you uploaded that vid. Thank you.

h3avensent08: I took down my mini-twist yesterday and it took me 8hrs. It was all my hair too. I can only imagine how much longer it would have taken me if had extensions. PS- I took NO breaks. Natural hair struggle

ddjsqueen: Laila, I put mine in around the same time you did and I had that epiphany too. Its time for these babies to come out...and they are on Saturday. ^o^

Brittany Smith: I plan on getting my Senegalese twist in about a month or so. Super glad I found your channel. You and your natural hair are gorgeous. And your twist too. LOL

DopeDomNess: It depends on how well you take care of your hair while the braids are in I usually was with a sulfate to clean out all the dirt and double up on a moisture and a protein deep conditioner to give my hair a fresh start

stacy williams: this is really random but im a culture/language freak and i LOVE your accent!!!

iCheer718: how have you managed to keep your edges from being pulled out while having the twists? I had twists for the first time a few months ago & there was too much tension on my edges for my liking. I want to get the style done again by someone else but im having second thoughts. My hair line is too precious lol.

Nonye Ehiguese: Hi Laila! Love your uploads. thanks for sharing. What type of hair extension did you use for your senegalese twists?

Yewande o: awesome video! Im taking my braids out after three months! I really miss my hair

msmeka85: Hey i love watching your videos. I wanna ask you something i have twists in my hair and i usually leave them in for 2 months or 3 is that good or bad for my hair? Am i coursing more breakage when i leave them in longer?

Jessica Silva: really nice...i didnt do all these steps and i end up with a loooot breakeage :( im so saaad cos now my hair is so shoort and demage, will cut everything and become natural..but soon i want have these twist done...but definetly will follow these steps :) thanks for sharing x

msmeka85: Hey thanks for the info. Do you know any products that would be good to put in after i take them out? If you don't mind.

DopeDomNess: You shouldn't leave any extensions in for longer than 8 weeks at the MOST, less if you can. Your hair might start breaking off a LOT if you keep them in too long

MARvelousLEYme: I will for sure be using this video wheni take my braids down.

LuClu81: I got my money's worth too!!! Lol I kept mine in for 2 mths!! I did have the perimeter redone....this is the longest I've ever kept braids in. I'm using ur method only modification I made is I do the water n moisturizer on each braid I remove, I know it's more time consuming but it's working.

yeeezful: Hey Laila! love your vids and your hair!!! p.s. how could I get the music playing in the background please? love it!! thanks

Tatiana Ragland: you should have applied conditioner/ a pre-poo to your hair that try to remove the twist so you natural hair won't broke off and it would be easier to remove

Miss Dee: Did you notice any damage/thinning at your edges?if not, what tips dyu use to prevent that coz whenever I braid my hair, this is a problem!

XXIV_: Hi Laila, What kind of hair do you use for the sengalese twists?

The Divine Hostess: Just took my twists down today! Cut my hair accidentally.

Amma Mama: I missed her too! Hii Kaila! Great & informative video Laila! :-)

kamikaze941: Hi Laila! Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on wearing a head piece? It's the fancy jewelry that goes on your hair wih a part in the middle... I haven't seen it done on natural hair.

Erin McCoy: how long did the whole proccess take?

tzipporah4: wow...u are super patient!!!! I literally pull my hair out...hehehehe.....my hair is short anyway

BlackBrunnette: Love your hair, and your vids... God Bless..

Shanice Bowrin: your hair is so long! how long have you gone natural?

Ray Zoe: Haha I thought you was gonna show them Haribo Strawbs too lol..and I got that exact comb ;)

Lucille Brobbey: Laila It's Lucille, Auntie Mel said I should check out your video's! im going natural :D

Tirza Coombs: I have a question...ehm a lot of people talk about dipping the ends in boiled water butttt can you dip the entire twist including your own hair in hot water..wont you hair and the extensions melt together or somesome...^-^ dont know if thats a stupid question lol

ALKEBULAN FASHION: Hi Lola do u take any vitamins for your hair and nail

vaneshcaa: Yeah that's why I don't wash my hair in extensions because I'm scared that would happen

Peace Akanyange: How do you take care of your hair when you have twist on. How do you keep your hair moisturized?

Keebie Gurley: just beautiful...

moya banton: I watch u video on how u dye the hair , I use the BW 2 power bleach and the 20 developer and my color came out different, how long did u left the first application on for

Sirius.Aiko. Black: it happens to everyone, its dead hair/grease oil build up

Keisha Mone': Love you and accent and of course your hair xoxo

ShizukaRose: Did she braid them at the root or twist them??? someone please tell me

Ash lash: what is that extension braid hair called? luv your hair.

A.N.A: Hey how do u prepare ur hair be4 braiding it ..n while praiding what do u aply to soften it so it does not hurt ??

Sheischell$: Do you was your hair while in the twists?

prettyjasmine2008: you have gorGeous hair.

Lucille Brobbey: Thanks :)

P: you forgot to mention oil which I think is important

LotsofGlo: the end result after you took out your twists you twisted up >>>>

Sainabou Saye: lol no its not stupid at all, if you dip them they just straighten and sometimes the synthetic hair does shrivel up a bit if the water is too hot but your hair is sorta protected as it is twisted into the fibre so no, your hair doesnt get damaged in any way (not in my experience anyway i might add)

Modest Minamalist: omg i absolutely love how your hair looks at the end. lol very chaka khanish lol lol. esp with the glasses!!

Mylourah Fox: you take them out already? wow! lol
