Hey so today is wednesday: november 10th. Uh 2021.. I have arrived in tallahassee florida, so, as you see, my hair is in a big poof right now it's in a little ponytail um, very thick look curly, but i came to tallahassee to go to hair like that. That is my sister yvette's hair salon in tallahassee, located on orange avenue across from about the lamy church nice little plug there, but no seriously. So i came here today because she will be starting my micro locks for me, so i've been natural a little more than seven years. I would say about seven and a half years now, and so today, uh november 10, 2021 will begin the next chapter of my natural hair journey. This time it will be with lux i'll. Keep you posted. I arrived a hair like that in tallahassee florida located on orange avenue across from bethlehem another plug there, it's literally a family affair. With this new journey, my mom is even washing my hair she's, so cute i'll check back here. So i'm in the chair and we are sectioning it off um. I don't know how long it is exactly because it's still in its wet state um, but just wanted to document everything i'll be back. Okay, so she's measuring the length of my hair and right now it is at eight inches in the back in the back at the neighbor at the nape, and we are starting dun dun dun, no. Turning daddy sorry, we're watching the steve wilko show just kind of want to get an idea how this works. The install come on. Get your hair like that too, though, for real um, i'm here today to find out is it's pretty cool to see. So again, i start with eight inches in the back. Let'S just say at the nape and then the middle and towards the front of my head was 10 inches. But it's my understanding that it's pretty average pretty normal, because your hair grows different lengths in different areas of your head in different areas of your head and the speed of growth is different and the speed of growth is different and she's. Doing this all by hand. No tools yet yet now here comes the tool she's doing the four point: nine, six, three and twelve. So for anyone wanting to start micro locks, what would be your advice to them like any tips? Best practices? Yeah? It'S um a lifestyle decision, not just a fashion trend, although they wonderful, you know, but it's a commitment so if you think you're doing it just for the fashion of it, you're not ready for it. Okay, i'll be back progress, progress, progress, looking good the shrinkage is definitely real, but it's looking good. So we finished one full section, almost complete with two sections section: number, two um but yeah. This is how they look thus far. The first section is in the bantu knot. You can see right. There looks really really good. I'M excited, i'm excited i'll, be back sections one and two are done. It'S looking pretty pretty good. My sister pretty quick, well hello, blessed hands hallelujah so day, one and four sections completed. I think we are coming to the end of day one and we'll wrap it up tomorrow day. Two okay, it's looking fantabulous so day. Two, it's up early in the morning. We got six sections left one, two, three, four, five six, so we gon na knock this out this morning. It'S not even my sister was tired. It'S not even light outside. Can i see that it's just still pitch black outside that's how early it is right. Better uh yeah i'll check back here so we're up early thursday morning, and this is our progress for today after we started she's going well, we finished up the front, so, as you can see, we have finished the lower two sections in the back. It looks very nice, crisp and clean and then i'll be back with the finished product. See you soon.
