Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel and, as you can see, this is the video of me flat ironing and doing a deep cut of sydney's newly relaxed natural. Well, i can't say natural anymore, 4c, hair so um the day that i did the relaxer um. I put it in a ponytail and then the next day a loose ponytail the next day, she's been wearing it like that for a week with that conditioner in it. So i finally rinsed out the conditioner, and now it is time to apply all the products that i need to make her hair, get the shine and strength and protection i'm going in with the leave-in conditioner. Then that is going to be a heat protectant and next i'm going to apply a serum by mazzani. It'S really good. It'S like a grapefruit, it's their smooth line. I believe they sent me a package a while back and i i didn't - use their shampoo and conditioner on her hair, but i use that serum for everything there. It is right there and i'm just going to apply that evenly, make sure everything is touching each strand and the base of her hair. Now it's time to section out her hair and detangle it as i'm going, and this part i was dreading, but oh my god. It'S just so much easier for us now, like it's a world of a difference. She throughout the video. You will still see that sydney struggles with getting her hair done. This was not like the magic fix. Everything is just so great now, because she still is tender. Headed it didn't take away her tender headedness, but it alleviated a lot of pain and stress for us. So, as you can see, you will well. You will see that sydney is crying throughout this video, because one i was using, i'm going to use a hot comb and sydney does not like homes, and i realize at the base of sydney's hair she sweats. You know we were sweating during her hair, i'm not even gon na. It was because i'm trying to do the best that i can without hurting her and then she's kind of still in pain, and i'm trying to be gentle and i'm trying to i'm just trying to make it easy for her. And i was sweating. She was sweating and the base of her hair. It um became a wet, so it kind of bulked up again, like i didn't blow dry it after the blow dry i'll. Let you i'll, let you see and plus her hair is not all the way through somebody made the comment like her hair, it didn't um, you should have left it on longer, but i didn't want to do that. I wanted her hair still to be full thick. I want to keep the thickness of her hair, so i did what was right for me, so i'm going to take these sections and i'm just going to blow dry it out. I kind of wanted to do a small sections, but i kind of want it to be done so you know smaller sections for a blow-dry but i'll. Let you guys just watch this, so so you the more that i blow dry, her hair, the more i'm like. Yes, my baby has beautiful hair, no matter if it's natural or if it's relaxed, it's beautiful, look at it and as i'm blow drying it. I realize that i have to do like a deep cut like a thorough cut because um those ends were not it. As i comb through her hair, the ends were just like crunchy, you know when you have crunchy ends it's time to take care of those right here like as i it's just so usually i would press it out first and then i would cut it and then Go into curling, but i realized it was just going to be too much for us. So after the blow dry i just went ahead and started cutting. I cut a lot before i got to this part and the angle was all messed up, so i couldn't get a good cut and i was trying to show y'all. So i had her stand up, so i can get a more accurate cut, which i did here and i cut off a lot, but i feel good about cutting it off because it's nothing like having healthy hair. It feels so good and plus by doing this, her hair will grow back so good. Now, i'm going to go in and cut even more cut some layers into her hair just because it was a lot that needed to be cut and i wasn't being generous. I did what i needed to do, but i can say i should have did a little bit more but i'll give her another cut within like two months so, but always get a cut. Y'All don't be trying to save that hair. That is just crunchy. The ends. Look a mess they're up and down zigzag, just cut it. Your hair will grow back. Your hair loves to be healthy. Remember that we love healthy hair and our hair loves to be healthy. You know what i mean so do what you got to do. My oh! So so so i am done with the cut here: sydney. It was like torture for her, but her ends thickened back up and it was hard to like comb through. So we're done with that. It'S looking good. It'S looking healthy, like i said, i'll, give her another cut within a month or two, maybe three and i'm adding a little bit more heat protectant to her hair, because it does have a little shine to it as well, and i want sydney's hair to be nice. Healthy and shiny, so i'm going to section it out and this because her roots puff back up, i am going to go back in with a pressing comb just to hit the base of her hair, make it um even with the rest of her hair um. She did not like this pressing comb. She saw. She was like mom you're gon na press, my hair you're gon na use that comb. I was like yes, just a little bit, you know, but it made a world of a difference. I just tried to hit the base, but sometimes i did go down the hair and the key to it is you have to use the back of the pressing comb, so it's like flipping your wrist to so the back side. That flat surface can really that's what smooths the hair. So i was trying to do it with her, but i ended up doing it and it is like magical, so guys don't worry about. If you think this is too much heat, i did do it like a usually i do high heat on my hair, but i lowered the heat for her and also um. Don'T be scared about heat. As long as you are you protected the hair, that's fine, and if you are not adding heat every day, that's the thing you cannot add. You can't do this to your hair, use this heat and then every day go back in with the same heat. Do not, this is the first and the last time because sydney said mom. I don't want this style again. She was like. I don't care for it. I don't want it and i was like that's fine. You don't have to get it again, but don't applying heat every day is just you don't want hair your hair is going to be damaged, it's going to fall out and we all know we heat can do so avoid it as much as possible. I would say: put heat in your hair at least um once every three months or go to a professional, do not put heat in your hair every day. Do not please don't but i'll. Let you guys sit and watch this sydney's like over it, and i will say that i have to go back in some areas and when i was flat ironing her hair the ends were so bad that it wouldn't. Let me curl it because the comb wouldn't go through, so i just went in with the comb and combed it out, and then i got some scissors. This part right here, i'm flat ironing it, but the end it wouldn't. Let me be great, so oh i thought that was it. I don't know it might be the next part, but um i went in with the scissors. I cut a little bit more off the ends and then the comb went right through it. So i'm sure that wasn't the part, but i'm sure you guys will notice what i'm talking about. If you guys have any questions or comments, just leave them down in the comment section, and i will get back to you, you know we, we love to chat and i love taking your advice. You guys said: do a silk press on her hair and that's what i'm doing now and um yeah. Let'S just have a a gathering in the comments section. So i'll just allow you guys just to watch without hearing my mouth and i'll pop back in in a few foreign me me, john now i just love the way sydney's hair is super thick, i'm going to try my best to maintain her hair. You guys. Let me know what styles that i can do with her hair. I'M not really sure now that her hair is in a different state. So i need some suggestions. Braids will be a must. Braids will be back in her hair within a month. That'S always going to be our holy grail hairstyle. Here, look at her crying, i'm sorry sid, but um. It'S always going to be a transition. Um just learning new styles for her, because i'm not used to her hair being straightened like this. So let me know some more styles that i can put in her hair. I just i'm proud of sydney's hair, whether it be relaxed or natural, it's still beautiful. So if you are deciding what you want to do to your hair and your child's hair, look at the state of it now see what will be best for her or your child. If their hair is already breaking off, i don't think you should get a relaxer. Just go to a professional and they will tell you what they will give you great tips and suggestions. I am almost done. This is the last two pieces for sydney's hair. I just want to say thank you guys for watching. Thank you for always supporting me. You guys went crazy on that last video. I did do the same for this one, because you guys told me to do this um. I know her curls aren't the best, but this is good for a nine-year-old. I wasn't trying to be all super sleek and you know this is good for her matter. Of fact, right here is she's going to school. She put a scarf on last night. No, i don't wrap her hair. I don't wrap because that's not good for your edges. So i just put a bonnet, i kind of tuck, her hair to the side or smooth it on the side and then put a body on or silk scarf. Wrapping is a no-go for me. I learned that with my hair, so i'm not going to do it to sydney's hair, but here's a little sebastian shaper she's loving her hair. I love it too, and i thank you guys for watching. Please share this video subscribe to my channel and leave a comment. Let'S have a discussion in the comments about whatever you guys want to talk about, because it's always something good, but i thank you guys for watching and i will see you in my next video bye.

Gin Ww: Her hair is absolutely beautiful…so healthy thick and shiny . You did an excellent job..

Gena Mustipher: She’s so pretty, and her hair is gorgeous! Good job Mama!

Deandra Stevenson: Yasssss her hair still looks so healthy and beautiful!!!

Tee Charee: Yes Toot, the confidence of my virtual niece is everything

Leah Mason: Very beautiful healthy hair especially after the trim. Kudos to you for knowing what was needed and not trying to save length.Too many ppl think length=health. Great job mom. Thanks Sydney for letting us watch. BTW I love your name

Karen Jamerson: I knew her hair was super long… Yesss mother you did an awesome job. Her hair will be fine because you know how to take care of it.

Judene Brown: Love her thick, beautiful hair!! A top knot or messy bun would look super cute on her plus it's really easy.

Lena Washington: I love love love the fact you emphasize the importance of that mother daughter relationship and how the time spent on doing hair can be very stressful without doing the to make it easier. ❤Great job Mom, you did that!

knesmith23: Sydney looks so pretty . Great job. I love that you left her hair with texture and density because everything doesn't have to be bone straight. The silkening cane out great.

Gena Gilder: Girl, I did the same with my daughter. Things are so much better now. She did say she didn’t want a relaxer, that she loves her natural hair, but like your daughter, she’s super tender headed, so she changed her mind. She misses her natural hair, but is happy that hair days are so much easier now for her. Baby girl’s hair is so pretty and healthy. I’m glad I found your channel so that I had someone who was going through the same as me. ❤

Nathalie Wasembeck-Green: Awwww Sydney's hair is flourishing! Maybe bantu knot out next?? ❤️

1ycj: Her hair has grown significantly since I last saw it. It it thick and so healthy looking. What a transformation from almost 2+ years ago. Sydney is too tenderheaded. I’m still that way! To this day I won’t allow anyone to touch my head. I do understand completely her struggle and pain. You’ve done a outstanding job with the upkeep and health of her hair. I hate to admit this, but I think her hair thrives more when it’s relaxed because it’s so thick in its natural state.

Kiawona Boston: Omg Syd's hair is so beautiful ... I absolutely love it ❤... it looks really good on her!! It's so healthy!!! Some styles you can do would be braids of course. Maybe two ponytails with spiral curls. Top knot bun would be cute too. Half up style..

Annette Harris: She looks like a big girl now. I haven’t seen you guys in a while; you just popped back up the other day. Sydney is adorable. You’re such a understanding and loving mother. Love watching at you guys videos

Anita Frasier: Omg Sydney’s hair looks beautiful, healthy.. Sydney is so beautiful

Loretta D Thomas: Gorgeous hair and daughter!! You’re doing an amazing job with your daughter and her hair. Blessings to you both

Amanda M: Funny how much your relationship with her reminds me of my mom and I growing up. I was so tender headed and hated touching my hair. I would have my curls in a bun for weeks just to avoid styling. My mom always wanted to have hair days together and wanted to style my hair. Relaxing it was the best compromise for us too! That was the only way I could handle brushing it and taking care of my hair. Although now I embrace my natural curls and only straighten my hair once a year. Bless my momma, you and any other guardians for caring and doing what is needed ❤️

JustErica 2: I’ve been watching since the beginning and you’re doing a great job with her hair! My daughter has very thick hair so I also struggle with doing her hair. I have gotten a lot of hairstyles from watching you! QUESTION! When you show the products that you use on her hair can you hold them to the camera a little longer.. I be rewinding and trying to catch the names of what you’re using

J B: It's so nice to see her all smiles and happy with her beautiful hair. Confidence is everything. Tell her she wears it well.

CaraNaturally: Gorgeous! CLEARLY you know what works for her! Great job as usual Mom!

NiyaT17: Hey! Your daughters hair is gorgeous. However I would highly recommend you to not leave conditioner on your baby’s hair for a week or even overnight. Please follow the directions on the bottle. Scientifically, conditioner will not add any extra benefits to your hair if you leave it in for long periods, instead, it could leave to hair weathering and moisture overload. Coming from a place of love. I want your baby’s hair to continue to thrive ❤️. Also, detangling her hair dry with a lightweight oil prior to shampooing will significantly reduce tangles post shampoo.

Latunsha Griffin: she feeling herself you can tell she really loves the new look

Jackie's Praise and Worship: Awesome! You did her hair with so much LOVE and the good thing about it is that she was so HAPPY with the results!!! I think you did a great job!!! Be blessed!!

Ash Bryles: Aww it looks good. Don't over do it with the conditioner. I remember when she just had the undercut done! . She has come A long way, I pray things will get easier for you both

Keisha Thomas: So happy for you and Sydney!I totally understand what you said in the previous video as I have a 4c kid as well.Heres to happier hair days❤ps don’t listen to the negativity ppl always got something to say

NicNacAttack: Beautiful hair! Coming from a tender headed 4c perspective, I always felt like people were angry because they had to do my thick coarse hair. They would yank my head around and over process my hair and it always burned my scalp but still never get straight enough to their satisfaction. Damaged at that! I shaved my head for a while but learned how to deal with my hair myself. I learned how to not hurt myself obviously but there are times when my scalp is sore from detangling. All this straightening isn't for me. It really is torture and other people can't feel your pain

Nessie3000: You did such a good job momma and well done to your baby girl!

Cierra: I love her hair, it’s so pretty and thick and the style looks so cute on her.

Joy B: Awww Syd ❤️ she looks adorable ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I hope this helps with her tenderness

Terry Frans: She is such a beautiful girl! I love watching her journey ❤

Avion Terria: Aww, I love her hair! I can tell she is loving it! Swing that hair baby girl. Enjoy! Good job Mom!

Apple Sauce: Aww baby girl I know the pain, them hot comb ain't no joke. I appreciate you sharing your and her hair journey. Much love from PA

cece smith: I’m so glad you did what’s best for you and your daughter. It’s so beautiful. Thank you.

Lavenda Jarrell: Yes her hair is beautiful. Just make sure you keep her ends protected. Maybe do some pin curls at night, since you don't wrap her hair. That way her ends won't dry out. Love, love her hair. You are doing an amazing job

Evangelist Esther: I’m relaxed too and I love it! My original hair texture is 4c too! If your thinking about it just do it as long as you do your research and educate yourself well and get a professional to relax it for you, you should be good!

Dashia Rahmaan: Her hair look so healthy and beautiful!!❤ I’m tender headed too, I feel her pain.

Brown Blasian: She’s feeling real good about herself!!! It won’t hurt to comb it beautiful healthy hair!!

Van Henry: I love her smile at the end. It came out beautiful. Great job!

Brandi: Her hair turned out beautiful just like her ! Girrrl, Remember you've got that Rev-Air dryer. Please try not to leave the conditioner in her long for too long because you don't want her to develop any fungus build up on her healthy scalp or hair. Looking forward to see her growth progress . Great job mom.

Jasmine NeSmith: Oh my goodness! I love it. Sydney’s always had beautiful hair but I think this will be better suited for her

Sabrina White: I remember 100 yrs ago I had Shirley temple curls. It was age appropriate back then. She has a beautiful head of hair. Good luck to you and your daughter.

Otisha: Your hair is so beautiful Sydney and mom you did a great job!!!! I like her hair either way also.

Emme29: This girlie!!@ What a confidence booster!!!❤ She was already beautiful and you've just elevated her! Look at her swinging that hair! I think we all want hair we can shake.

Yvonne Williams: She looks so pretty! Great job again mom!

Shirl Epps: Your daughters hair looks beautiful and she has "body, yody, yody, yody!" She's the "Belle of the Ball!! I'm natural and have been on and off since I was in my twenties. Your baby's hair was beyond thick. I had my first perm at 7 and loved it. Congrats to out beautiful queen! Enjoy it baby.

Jayne Cristal Pagan: Her hair is getting so long ☺️ Momma has the magic touch!! Godbless

tashia jones: Yasss Sydney, whip that hair… it came out beautifully

Jacqueline Lester: Loving Sydney's hair...you can keep it out and get Syd some hairbands in different colors...you can give Syd a bang with a french braid or ponytails....there is so much to do with her beautiful hair!!!!

Brittaney: She looks gorgeous as always. I remember when she wanted to cut all her hair off and instead y'all agreed on the side and back Does Sydney still desire to cut all her hair off or is she comfortable with the relaxer?

Redbone: Her hair is beautiful! It grew out very nice ! I remember when you cut it ! 4c hair !!

Shawanda Norfleet: OMG Yes ma'am mom. Syds hair looks amazing ❤

Mercedes Jordan: Her hair looks so beautiful and thick!

Mary Ann: Sydney has beautiful hair and she looks cute to good job mom.

TinaLouise: I love how my daughter’s hair looked right after her silk press, but it was not worth the time and energy. My baby has this beautiful head of coily hair and it said nope to that silk press in a matter of minutes

Shamika Reid: Beautiful, healthy hair!! ❤

Myra Lee: Syd's hair is absolutely beautiful!!!!

Sandinet Luv: Her hair looks great!!

Shani Laufeyson: Her hair is super beautiful. Everything after this is from my own experiences and my own first hand account as an eye witness. My family is a mix of Asian, Afro-Cuban and regular American black. Great grandma was 3b, 3c, 4a. Grandma 4a, 4b, 4c. Mama 3b, 3c 4a. Myself 3c, 4a, 4b. Oldest daughter 2b, 2c, 3c. Second oldest daughter 3a, 3b, 3c. Son unsure he's still has his baby hair. Could be 2b, 3a, 3b and 3c. Since she's very tender headed I would suggest what my mama used to do for her mom give her pain meds about two to half an hour before doing her hair. Her ends were also super crispy because they were over processed. I know you wanted to keep the relaxer away from her tender scalp because you didn't know how she would react but you should have started from the top down. An inch or more if you need away from her scalp. The reason they tell you not to start with the ends first is because the ends of your hair is the oldest hair on your head. Your ends tend to be the most damaged part of your hair even if healthy hair because of its age. With her 4c being the way it was and her being so tender headed and the relaxer being extra strength it was just the perfect situation to fry her ends. Her hair also should have been processed a little longer. If you go back and look at the end results of your first video it will definitely give you the reason why you're having so many combing issues for the silk press. With thick hair you have to let it sit the recommended about of time because it doesn't all processed evenly. The newest and then weaker, older more damaged hairs will process faster first than healthier sturdier been around for a little while but not a very long time hair will not process as fast. You can see hair that's barely stretched and processed mixed in with hair that's super straight. Just cause it's bone straight when it's first done doesn't mean it'll stay that way especially since she sweats in her head. Yes you get good looking results but it's not the same as if you had done it the proper way the first time. Major props to you cause once you realized the crunchy you went in and cut it all out. Some people will try to let the damage grow out and not even think about it can spread more. You are helping her to love her hair and style time. If you're looking for styles Pinterest. Pinterest all day for cute styles for girls. I get like 85% of my styles from here. Some even work on us grown ups.

S H: You did the right thing by keeping her hair thick and not leaving the relaxer on long. Beautiful style and beautiful girl!

Evelyn Hurte: I am not a license cosmetologist, nor do I claim to be one. But I have done a lot of heads in my days. I have done french braiding, french braiding with beads. I have done relaxers, extentions, curly perms, and just hair in general. I can so relate to your daughter being tender headed. At 57 years of age, I am still tender headed. But, I think your daughter would have benefited more, if you would have left the relaxer on longer. I understand that YOU wanted the fullness, and you got what you wanted, but how did Sydney benefit from it? She's still crying. Now you just gave her a bad experience with a relaxer. When it was suppose to be a bonding moment between the both of you. But I think your baby girl got the raw end of the deal. I didn't like watching her cry. I know, I could have scrolled on by. But I wanted to see her enjoy this experience, and I wanted to see her hair silk pressed.

Sandra Fortune: Sydney is blessed with lovely hair..shes gorgeous

La Joyce Morales: So pretty. I love her hair tutorials.

Lisa Jones: Mom you did an awesome job on Sydney’s hair ❤❤

Brenda Jones: I would have recommended taking her to a professional hair salon. She would have loved the experience!

Pat Crite: Beautiful job it grew out so nice. I love watching what you do to her hair

c lache: I have two daughters 15 & 17 I usually get there hair braided. One has locks and the other box braids that is very convenient for me as a busy mom. I tried to relax my oldest daughters hair when she was younger and she hates that I did that now that she understands what was being done to her hair.

Blessing Love: Wow!! So beautiful and healthy!

Quirky Jones: I wish my mom was able to take this much care with my hair at this age. My mom just can't do hair so I started doing my own hair and my friends hair at a young age. You are doing an awesome job. I wish I could get you to cut my hair right now at 42. I have not been to a salon since my senior prom. Lol

Chocolateraisin1: It’s gorgeous, just like her ❤❤

SHAWN D: The only problem with leaving texture in the hair (which I completely agree with) is that its hard to get a consistant level of relaxation. Its going to be difficult to manage with the mix of textures. I would suggest on her next touch up to run the relxer through the entire hair shaft after youve done the roots. Just to smooth it out a little bit more and that will help with managability and it will not compromise the integrity of her hair. I've done this with my sister and her hair density remained in tact while allowing for better managability. Overall its all about making wash day a better day for both of you.

Kyla Smith: Your hair is beautiful Sydney I love it

Sharon Skipper: Beautiful job Syd hair is beautiful and healthy she look so cute you have to do what's good for your daughter so she doesn't feel like getting her hair done is torture

brittnay collins: Girl you did an amazing job

Baybiedoll35: I overnight condition and my hair is down to my butt. It's fine. I doubt it you're doing it every week. In fact for me, the longer i leave it in the better. I admire your patience with Sydney. She is so lucky to have a mom that wants her to be as least traumatized as possible. She's still in so much pain. I hope you go bone straight just so she can experience painlessness at least once in her life.

Tanzy The Glow Up Guru: She feeling herself!!!! Awwwwe.shes just growing up into a beautiful lil young lady! God bless u both

Octavia Armstrong: You did a good job boo . Syd you look beautiful and I know the maintenance is going to be so much easier on both of y’all . I just want to say your doing a good job , I know it’s hard doing a kids hair that is tender headed , my niece was like that and gave my sister hell when doing her hair . Stay strong girl you got this

2_Bl@ck: Sydney got hair hair to spare It’s beautiful and so full.

Ossie R: Beautiful, thick, healthy hair.

Cherease Campbell-Dorsey: Great job Mom!!!

legadema37: Her hair looks really beautiful . HOWEVER ! Be VERY CAREFUL about relaxers on a child her age. I know numerous adult women who had had relaxers from childhood & started losing hair from scalp damage as they approached menopause. Some are now shiny head bald. I have seen former students now in their 20s & 30s with scalp damage from relaxers since elementary school. I had gorgeous curly perms for years & quit years ago & am now a retiree & being treated by a dermatologist for alopecia. Back when I was a kid I didn’t see any black women with that condition; they just had normal hair thinning. Too many harsh chemicals in relaxers that cause scalp damage even if you don’t feel it. Hair follicles are being affected .

Leona Jackson: Great job, she will like the outcome

Tina Griffiths: Aaawww don’t cry Syd your hair looks beautiful❤❤

T'iera Alexander: You can do Bantu knots then take them out that would be cute on her. Her hair is gorgeous!! You are doing wonderful with keeping her hair growing!!!

Grandmother Jeana: Good afternoon Sis. Baby girl hair is beautiful. You did a wonderful job. Keep doing you. Blessings on Blessings.

XoSiedahXo: Hey hey hey. I was thinking about relaxing my daughters hair as well. I think it will Florish better. But I wanted to tell you about this relaxer I use for my hair and it’s actually amazing. Expensive but amazing I’m thinking it will be good for lil mama.
