"Boho" Goddess Braids On My Natural Hair | Viral Tiktok |Great For Kids

Baby, she might be smiling now, but the struggle was real. I'M gon na tell you what those tick tock. Girls, don't tell you right after this hey superstars, it's your girl, malika aka, miss magic back with another video. So, as you saw from the beginning of the intro, i am doing boho uh goddess braids on my natural hair. I have been dying to do this style, but i was waiting for my hair to get a certain length and it's still not there yet. But i am dying to do this style, so i figure i will take you on this journey of doing it with me. None of that i've never even done a braid out on my natural hair, but i love that goddess look with the curls and i think my curls will look beautiful with it. However, my curls are looser in the front and um. I think it would be super cute doing it on wet hair in the front, but like um, this video shows this is my hair when it was crusty dusty right before i washed it. I just want to show you the back of my hair and show you how bad my hair actually shrinks up in the back, so i'm gon na show you what it washed it's already starting to shrink up. So what i figure is this: i am going to do it on blown out hair and that's because i can manipulate my curls and how much they shrink up with product. So i'm going to go ahead, i'm using about three or four products, i'm not really even sure you guys are going to go on this journey with me. I am going to do my edges with the less jam when i do the braiding um yeah the less jam regular hole. I thought i bought shiny jam. What is this i meant to buy shine and jam. This is not shiny, but anyway we're going to use this less jam and then after i braid it. I have some lotta body. Um foam wrap that i'm going to go ahead and put on after i braid it and then we'll um i'll, show you how i'll leave out all my little curls and stretch those curls. If i can, if i can do that, i'm not sure because y'all gon na go on this journey with me. I have not done this, but what i'm gon na go ahead and do now is section my hair blow dry straight out, and i will come back to you when i am fully blow dry to start these goddess braids, all right guys. I am back and i am freshly blow-dried and baby look at this lens. Oh my, let's check out the bag. What come on now! My hair never been this long, and this is the back. What it's looking like, um yeah y'all, tell me where i'm at where i'm at. Where am i? Where am i um, i must say guys, am i tempted to um, say if this video and do a lift check straightening my hair, but that's not what we're here for. I am dedicated to do this video because i wanted to see how my hair looked in the boho, braids and now y'all see why i blew it out, because i want the maximum length. Even when i braided, i know it's going to shrink and when i spritz it with the uh foam, wrap and the water, my hair is just gon na go like this, but at least i'm giving my hair a fighting chance. Okay, so first thing we are going to do is we're going to separate the front from the back and we're going to get started on the back of my hair yeah i'll see how messy this is. Okay, so i'm back, i have parted my hair in the back, and this is just a straight line across i'm gon na do three braids and some of you guys might say, am i concerned with the parting of my hair. No, i am not concerned with the party with my hair because i don't even know if it's gon na be cute. I don't know if it's gon na work out, so why would i worry about the parting of my hair, we're gon na what i have seen on different videos and the reason? Let'S go back to why i blowed out my hair. I did watch a few videos. Maybe like six or seven videos of people doing this on their hair and some people did it on wet hair. Most people did it on wet hair, but they had looser curls. So that came out super cute, but i did see a couple of people who had did it on wet hair and they had curly hair like mine. That is really coily and i wasn't really liking it. So that's why i have i seen it on dry. I don't think i've even seen anybody do it on dry hair, but i think that that's what's going to work best for me so, like i said we're going to do three parts in the back for this first row, then we're going to do four and then We'Re gon na do four again in the back and then two on both sides and let's just get started. Okay, like i said i i'm not particular i'm going to take one part where i think it should go and then we'll clip off this hair, so yeah i'll look and see, or maybe i should like rubber band it. I don't know i don't have the right clips for this either y'all, so we're just gon na see how it's gon na work out, so how it goes, i'm going to use the shine jam on my edges. I better check this part. I don't know. Okay, i'm just gon na take a little bit of the shine jam and put it on my edges like such and see that and around this part, just a little bit a little bit at this bottom part too. All right - and we just gon na start braiding, and i noticed they braided down, maybe like a four foot away before they started leaving hair out. This is not gon na, be the tightest either because i'm just not that good of a braider. So it is what it is, but, as you can see, we're gon na break down that much all right, there's good and then i'm gon na take out. Oh, i didn't leave that enough right here. I'M going to take out a little piece and hook up. Why am i putting this in my mouth because i keep doing it take out another little piece: did it come out? No, oh! This is not as easy as i thought. Look we'll go with two pieces on the onion braid. Maybe it'll get better as i go up. Huh all right. Keep going! I'M gon na go down. Maybe like a quarter, leave a quarter out, maybe that much okay. So i'm going to go ahead and take my phone wrap whip that up and let her curl up. It'S going to curl up, i don't worry about it. It looks straight now, but trust me, my hair, i'm not gon na, do my straight pieces that i left out. Yet i'm not gon na put any phone wrap on that. Yet i'm just going to do the ends like i said: don't worry it's gon na curl up, so that's the first little braid with two little bow holes sticking out so, like i said, looks, looks straight now, but yeah. I'M also timing myself, because if this takes longer than an hour and a half, i probably will never do it on my hair again. So let's go ahead and do this middle and then i'm gon na come back when i got up when i'm on this side. Okay, guys so i did the middle braid and she's struggling. She might be struggling a little bit so um as you see, because i had to go this way with it and i couldn't really see where i was leaving out. No hair yeah she's struggling, but we gon na push through so i'm on this braid over here my son's going in and out the door y'all. So uh don't worry about that. Okay, i can see how it's gon na be cute, but then i can see how i'm jacking it up as well, but we gon na push through i put a little bit of uh moose, wrap uh, the lotta body. On my end, right here, like i said, i'm not gon na, do it to the distress part yet until i am done with the whole head, so let's go ahead and push some more shine jam on and braid up this one yeah. That middle seemed like it might be struggling y'all, i don't know, but we gon na i committed to this so we're gon na. Do it i'm not a quitter. I will not quit. I will not quit, but that's yeah, that's where we at with that. So let's go ahead braid this up lord, and i like i said, i'm not a good braider, so i'm not even going out to my i mean going all the way to my um scalp, mm-hmm, okay and then i probably realized too that i should be doing Thicker braids, these are like micro, minis or some [ __ ]. I mean i'm sorry stuff, but guess what we ending that. So we gon na see how this look all right. That'S gon na curl up, don't worry about it! So we're gon na do this and we're gon na finish the back of his head. This is how the back looks. There'S three braids. I really don't care. I just want to see the final look now so yeah. This just takes a little second to curl. Up all right, i am going to do four on the next one and then i'll come back and show you what that looks like when i get done with that. For so guys we're back to the episode of what did i get myself into um? I throw caution to the wind, i'm just braiding and leaving hair out uh my parts look like [ __ ]. I don't i should have had somebody help me part the back, but guess what ain't nobody here. So this is gon na look crazy, but hey we gon na muddle through we gon na muddle through we gon na make it we gon na make it happen. I got a thousand clips in my hair, but i'm determined i won't give up. I won't lose the battle we gon na muddle through we gon na make it lower. We don't make it lord help me it's not the braiding it well, it is the braiding because i suck at braiding it's the parting guys it's the parting, like i got all different kind of braids in the back of my hair. This is how the back is. Looking so far, i'm still i got to go all the way over, so i got these little clips in my hair to hold it back so, like i said, i got another clip over there. I'M gon na make it through and i'm determined. I am determined that this is gon na, be cute: okay, okay, all right guys, i'm jumping back in there and if this little experiment hasn't taught me anything else, it has taught me that i have to be the worst braider in america i have to be, but There can't be nobody worse than me, a grown adult, an adult that does hair. That'S what i'm saying a dope that does hair for a living. I do here for you. I am the worst braider in the world, but we gon na muddle through this. We gon na make it through baby, so this is uh i'm halfway home. This is the back. This will be looking at, like i said, don't judge me about my parts at this point. I'M just trying to get done. I'Ma, go ahead and uh break this up and be honest with you for my first time and me not being a braider or knowing how to braid correctly. I know how to braid, i just don't know how to braid correctly. I just never could get it. It'S all right, i'm doing okay, gon na do this little braid right here. I did learn, see how i did this off base to have fluidity in your braids. You got it's got to be on base, so i i learned that kind of halfway through so let's go ahead and take this up base one base, it's called one base. I had it all based, but i learned if you want your braids to move and when i say one base, i got to be in the middle of your little square that you did, but of course, in the back might not have gotten that. But that's okay! Let'S just go: let's just muddle through: let's make it through take a little straight, a piece of hair distressed, that's too much all right baby, see that's what i mean by middle, see how i did that one base and then this one is totally off base, which Is down here, but i'm not gon na, take it down, so that's not gon na happen all right. Let'S continue all right y'all! I am literally on the last braid. Thank goodness, i would say, with all the starting and stopping it took me, maybe about two and a half hours to do all this. I did start stop eating a little bit or whatever, but i'm on the last braid remember i did it on blown out hair. So now all i got ta do is wet it and i have to um figure out what defining gel i want because, like once again, i do not want my hair to shrink up like it usually shrinks. I want this to be kind of wavy. I don't know what i should do. I really don't um, but let's do this last braid i mean it is the last braid i'm so happy and think on it y'all the parts be damned because they they they went straight to hell. My hair is parted. However, the hell is parted. I do not care anymore, because this is a tedious job. Will i do this to my hair? Again, i don't know depends on if i get any compliments or not, or i might just have somebody else do it for me with my own hair. No, we so let's go ahead and finish up this last break all right. That is that she is done now, like i said i just don't know what i'm i'm gon na i'm gon na wet it down and then i'm going to, i might just use the phone wrap, but no, i need to put a little gel and that sort Of get defined but either way i'm going to come back when it's totally whatever i decide to do, i will let you guys know and all right guys, so i kind of want to come back on here after i wet my hair down. I wind up using the rest of my curl days, glossy shine gel to define my actual curls and see how they're like loose right now. This is kind of how i hope it dries. Maybe a little bit. Um, fuller, my but because my hair is on like the thinner side, it's not gon na be super full, but i am liking the way the curls look um just like this, but i already know they're gon na shrink up more and my hair is thin in The back, but this is how the back looks real guys. I did not part, i i changed it up. I parted. However, i wanted to, and i braided it. However, i wanted to because this was not that easy, but this is the back, and so, as you see i uh went on and defied the curls, all they got to do is dry a little bit. Hopefully, they'll give you a little bit more fullness back there, but i'm not expecting too much. But overall it's t so it's i i i could deal with it. I like the way it turned out: it's cool, so i'm gon na come back when it's completely dry and we'll see if it got a little fuller or if it's still, you know a little way down. But the main thing is. I want my curls to stay. Weighed down, but i can always um what you call that diffuse it and make it. You know, stretch it out a little bit, but we'll see i'll be back when i'm 100 dry, all right guys. So i am back and yes, my hair is 100 dry and um it did it stretched. It stayed stretched like i said i used the um. What did i use? I wet it after i um finish my hair, and then i use the curl days. Glossy shine gel to define my curls and they stay defined and they stay stretched, and that is because i blow dry my hair before i did it um do i like this style, i think i would have. I think i would have liked it more if my hair was a little bit thicker. My hair is on the thin side, so um, usually first second day of my washer, goes it's a little limp and then my hair gets bigger as the days go on and bigger and bigger and bigger. However, since my hair is braided, i don't know if that's going to happen, if my hair is going to swell or just the curls are going to get bigger, i'm not sure so um we shall see. Y'All tell me so i don't know i don't know. I feel kind of cute or am i looking like craig? Can i borrow your vcr y'all got ta. Tell me, i don't know, i don't know, but anyway i like the front um the back just go into the back. So, like i said, don't judge me about these parts, so the back um, i guess the braids could have been smaller. It looks too sporadic and then um. So you see where my curly hair is. I would have liked that to fill in these parts, so you wouldn't be able to see the parts, but i don't know if that's going to change. You know over the the next couple of days or whatever, but one thing is for sure. I am going to be wearing the style for about two weeks because it took that amount of time for me to braid it and um yeah, i'm not gon na waste.
