#DryNaturalHair #HairCareTips #WinterHairCare

Aka curly chris welcome back to the fam, welcome back to the channel okay in today's video we're going to be getting into some dry natural hair remedies, okay, especially since it is winter time. These are most definitely going to help you with your natural hair and also some things that i have done that i've noticed helps tremendously okay before we go to get into those details. Y'All already know the drill. Well, if you're new here you don't so let me introduce you, okay um. We need for you to do one thing before you continue on this video, okay, and that is to smash that button down below smash that button down below hey, like you mean it and join the curly chris fam, because we have a seat at the table waiting Just for you, okay, so let's go ahead and hop into the deets of today's video. This right here is on the way. Y'All, okay, y'all know i got y'all, don't worry, look i'm not even gon na tell y'all what style this is. Okay, i i'm not even gon na tell y'all i'll let y'all wait for the video. Is this video introspective? Is she being disrespectful? I think she forgot that she don't pay rent. So during the winter time, especially, our hair is very, very dry and it could become more prone to breakage. So in this video i'm going to be sharing those tips. Now these tips pretty much go for everyone, no matter your texture, nobody porosity, no matter your density. These are tips beyond the regular, have a routine and have a deep condition, and all that, like these go beyond like these go beyond that. Okay, so let's go ahead and hop right into them. So number one take vitamins if you do not already do so. Taking vitamins is very, very helpful with dry natural hair because that's where our hair will get and strength from within, so we take a vitamin biotin. Most definitely is important. Vitamin c is important. Vitamin e, also very very important and a pill form helps it get down easier and you don't taste it as much so i like to take vitamins now. Vitamins help tremendously with the health of your hair, skin nails, everything, okay, and it keeps you up to date with all the vitamins that your body does need anyway. Now there are a lot of options for what you can do for vitamins. You can just get regular biotin, regular vitamin c, regular vitamin b from a local like drugstore, i mean not drugstore a local grocery store or you can get vitamins from a brand okay. Sometimes the brand vitamins do have other things mixed into those, all of which also help your hair. So sometimes it could be like a four in one or more than that, but you do want to get some type of vitamin, especially one that contains biotin and they also just sell biotin in the stores by itself as well. So that, too, can be very, very helpful. Now let me put y'all again real quick, a lot of these hair companies. We saw in these vitamins and these gummies and the main ingredient in those vitamins and gummies y'all is biotin. Okay, biotin is what we need and what helps encourage hair growth, okay, so wintertime most definitely give you some vitamins, because that will help the health of your hair tremendously. Now number two tip two would be to make sure that you are hydrated. You are drinking water regularly during the winter time. I know for sure i get dehydrated more um, so i like, which is kind of odd, because you think like in the summer time you would, but sometimes in the winter, my body, i it just feels dry at times. I just need like some hydration, so i make sure that i do drink enough water, even though i do be slacking on my water intake honestly. But if you do feel like your hair is dry, i can promise you drinking more. Water will most definitely help our hair is like a plant. If you put more water to it, the healthier it's going to be so most definitely make sure to drink more water. Throughout your day, the amount to aim for is typically like a gallon per day, but in case you can't do that. Then just try to do something close to that, so that you can get all the hydration your hair and your body could need so number. Three. Would be to never let your hair air dry without styling it whenever you get out the shower and you wash your hair, you never want to just let it air dry. At that moment, some people, especially like some people, think if they're trying to get like a fro, look that they can just let their hair air dry and it'll make them a fro. But instead it's gon na actually match up a lot and you'll notice. Never whenever people do froze, they either break their hair up in really really thick flat or apply it up some kind of way, but they never just let it air dry, because that is not going to get you look that you want. Instead, it's going to give you a lot of popping whenever you go to detangle your hair, some people, what i've noticed is whenever they wash their hair, they get out of the shower and their curls are popping so they're like. Oh, let me just let my hair dry says or bro. You cannot do that. Okay, it is not going to dry just like that. You have to apply a styling product to give your hair moisture and then let it dry or you have to do a style to lock in that moisture and then let it dry okay, now wash and go, is different because you're applying the product you're layering on Those products and then you're, letting it dry you're not just going from shower to drying. You hear what i'm saying so that would most definitely help with the health of your natural hair and prevent your hair from being dry. Also with that something else that goes hand in hand is re-moisturizing. So what i've heard a lot lately is some people think that spraying water onto dry hair is going to re-moisturize it. In that sense, it's not like a plant. That'S not going to moisturize your hair. Instead, it's going to actually draw out more of the moisture whenever you just wet your hair, like spruce your hair with water mid-week like at the moment, it feels like it's more soft, but once it dries, it's drier and that's something that you will notice uh, like The more and more that you do, that type of thing you're like. Why is my hair so dry, and i just now re-moisturize. That is why? Because, whenever you spray water on top of already sealed hair, it does not do what you're thinking it's gon na do so do not re-moisturize your hair with just water. If you're going to re-moisturize follow the proper steps for re-moisturizing and i have a whole video on re-moisturizing that i will link either down below or above, but most definitely refer to that. If you want tips on how to properly re-moisturize your hair. Okay, number: four: this one is very, very important guys and something that i also realize helped me a lot. Um get a trim. Y'All get a trim cut it off, trim it off like. Let me tell you whenever you don't have a trim. What your hair tends to do is split, split, split, single strand out single strand, not a single strand knot. It just becomes very rough, very rigid. I know for me personally. Whenever i need a trim, i can tell in the results of my styles i can tell, and the way my hair feels i can tell how quickly it becomes tangled, like all of that shows me that my hair needs to be trimmed, and that's after i followed, Like my routine, like my deep conditioning, it feels better, but i can feel it like after i'm finished styling and it's dry and i'm wearing the hairstyle, and it's like, oh my god, getting so mad for nothing that it that's. Typically, the time for me to get a trim um also, i think, just whenever i'm playing on my hair. I look at my ends and i see that oh, my gosh, i need a trim. Those are all indications that you need a trim if you are not comfortable with doing your own. Most definitely go see a professional um, but if you are comfortable doing your own, i do have a video on how i trim my hair and i'll also link that above or below um and it's a very safe method. But trims are most definitely definitely required and it helps fix dry hair as well. Surprisingly, um dryness comes from more than just moisture. It comes from breakage as well. All of that blend together will cause dryness, so do not neglect those trims trying to get me to no volume y'all. All right. We got a little more volume. All right number. Five y'all may not like this, but i don't care. Okay, number. Five, reduce heat styling. I'M gon na leave it at that by my ass on those two. If you are not sure of what you are doing or the hair dresser is doing, or if you start to see a slight change in your curls heat styling y'all, if he's styling is not done properly, it is the it will. It will become the core reason of your hair being dry and breakage. The numero uno reason why, if you are constantly heat, styling, okay, that will result in dry broken off hair if it's not done properly. Now there are some flat iron naturals, whose hair is thriving. Okay but they're going to people who are experienced or they can they or they know their hair and they're doing it enough to where their hair is benefiting and not being damaged. Now, there's some people who are in denial wait a damn minute. If your curls do this, and then this and then this you would deny my sis, okay, you are in denial. You your hair is now has your your hair now has heat damage, because if your hair is doing this in the middle of your curl, more than likely that is heat damage. Okay, so the heat can most definitely have a huge negative impact on our hair. If it's not done properly and result in dryness, i remember with my stylist when i got my hair flat ironed. She told me specifically do not re-flat iron, your hair, and i was like why not and she was like, because whenever you go outside as soon as you step outside, there are toxins and humidity in the air those attached to your hair, then, if you choose to Re-Flat iron, it you're now going to cause breakage onto your hair because you're now flat ironing your hair with all those toxins and that humidity on it. So you can cause breakage and you can cause damage to your curl pattern. And once she told me that - and i thought about it - i was like that makes sense. That makes a lot of sense um. I trust me, i didn't do it again. Okay, i said the curls are out the baby. They must have just been they time to go: okay, um. I left it at that, but yes reduce heat styling guys if you do see a difference in your hair, reduce the heat styling and then hand in hand with heat. Styling also goes coloring your hair. If you are not properly coloring your hair or properly taking care of your hair, that will most definitely cause dryness, especially the colored part i used to have color and color takes a whole lot more to maintain than regular natural hair. Okay, color takes additional steps, especially the brighter you go. So if you are getting a lot of color, that could also be a reason why your hair has become more dry. All right number six is to avoid having a dry scalp, because your hair grows out of your scalp right. So if your hair grows out of your scalp and it's dry, then you really don't you really ain't, giving it that much of a chance? I understand this or bro you ain't, giving it that much of a chance. It can't put up a fight when it's already been defeated, so give it some encouragement. Okay, follow all in that scope, ain't, never holding scalp baby, never wrong with that; okay, pull it all! On that scalp and just give it a nice little massage, okay, that was definitely going to help your natural hair. All right now number seven is to gravitate towards products that do have honey in them um, especially for deep treatment. So you guys know the tgin honey miracle. Repair mask is amazing: okay and the reason why is because honey attracts moisture? So whenever i use that deep conditioner, my curls are just moisturized popping shiny and i've also noticed some products that have honey in them. Also do a great job of my hair, maintaining that moisture, okay, so most definitely try to lean towards products that do have honey in them, because honey is a great source of moisture for your hair, okay and number. Eight. The last tip that i'm going to give is try the maximum hydration method. Now, let me tell you guys about this. I watched um only one justin's video on her max hydration method, and i've always wanted to do one on my hair, and i was just like. Oh my gosh, i don't really know all the steps like where are the steps, and then i watched her video and i was like oh that is popping, so i'm actually all going to do the max hydration method on my hair really really soon so drop in The comments down below, if you want to see that video um, because i think it's going to make these curls pop. If i do it right and it'll, be my first time doing it. But i wanted to include this that tip in this video, because i've seen multiple people use this method and it really does help to revamp your curls and give it that moisture and that extra boost, but stay tuned. For my video of that, because it will be coming up, so those are my eight tips on dry natural hair remedies. Let me know in the comment section down below, if you already do some of these or if you are going to start doing them. So, thank you guys so much for tuning in and i will see you guys in my next video peace. You

mstamalaj: I literally don’t know how some people survive their hair journey without oils and butter. They are such a crucial part of my routine but everyone’s hair is different. I felt personally attacked when you talked about drinking more water can’t wait for the max hydration video I’ve been wanting to try it out myself. Your hair looks sooo good

Judi S: Love the style sis! . I’ve incorporated a lot of those steps into my routine since our consultation and my hair is not dry like it use to be.

Kayla Holmes: Also, this winter while I'm on break I am keeping my hair in twists and I think I want to cornrow my hair too. One thing that helps me keep the ends from frizzing or being dry is putting gel on the ends once my hair is not wet from the products. This also helps me have defined ends whenever I do decide to take it down.

May LaVerne Barnes: Thanks for these tips Crys, they are good reminders to help our hair stay healthy this winter. Yes, please do the maximum hydration video. It may take your already poppin hair to the next level.

tavia2685: My one ☝ year old loves the intro my husband like dang how many times has he seen this

bj morgan: I just had an anxiety attack. You took me back to my heat damage day 8/22/2018. I did the big chop in 2015. My hair had grown so much. At my 3 year anniversary I wanted a silk press. I went to the same beautician who did my niece hair. Hers turned out fine but mine was completely damaged. I had to big chop again. I was truly heart broken.

Sheila Smith: Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t wait to get to that point in my journey... It’s been a looooong time to find SOMEONE to get me on the right track... Thank God I found YOU❤️ You are so helpful and sincere.. Thank you

Jaucinthia Robair: I’ve been doing all of these things. The one thing that I started doing was taking Biotin vitamins. But the B vitamins that I take already have Biotin included. I trim my ends like the video you’ve posted. I drink 64 ounces of water per day if not more. The only issue I have is trying to grow back my edges that were pulled out from too tight braids. Can you help with that?

ly234: anybody gonna talk about how her hair is popping omg

Carol Harper: Love your hair, makeup and jewelry. You look beautiful Yes, would to see the maximum hydration method. Will start incorporating these methods into my hair routine. Thank you for sharing. Love and light to you. ❤️❤️❤️☮️☮️

504BUSYBEE: My hair is so dry so thanks for these good tips and definitely gonna start taking vitamins and drinking more water Sis. I would like to see you do the max hydration

Shae Poppinkurlzdc: First of all, u look gorgeous! Your hair, your make up...the skin! It’s all poppington!! (that’s not a real word I know) Also I’ve seen her video and I definitely want to try it. I can’t wait to see yours.

Kayla Holmes: I watched OnlyOneJess maximum hydration too!! I've watched that video so many times because like I said on your last video on my comment, moisturized is SOOOOOOOO aesthetically pleasing. I loved her results and I'm actually going to start doing this method for my washdays. Can't wait to see you maximum hydration method results!!!!

Michelle Rodgers: stick to what you do well and grows your hair, we dont experiment in the winter! Lol. No really...im committed to protective styles all winter(faux locs, mini twists, knotless boxbraids) and oiling my scalp and misting my hair with aloe vera.

Christine Gadsden: My hair loves honey as well too!!! The max hydration method works really well, I did it a few years back for a couple of years. I kinda believe the max hydration method maybe the reason why my hair doesn't respond to certain products as it did in the past. Or why my hair doesn't like coconut oil, but my twin sister's hair doesn't mind it.

Kandance Johnson: I love your channel! Awesome tips! I would love to see the maximum hydration method.

elleluv: THE LOOK ! Yasss serve Hair, makeup, jewelry and fit ✨✨

Neosoul_prima: Sis you actually do the max hydration method in your wash day lol. The updated version that’s better for you is... 1) prepoo 2) clarify 3) DC 4) add leave in in the shower 5) seal and style! The clarifying part can be done with a clay mask, or a double cleanse with a shampoo. the only part that is bad of the original method, is the cherry Lola treatment. Using baking soda, scientifically rips and stretches the elasticity of the hair strands over time.

Patricia Ross: This video was very helpful. Thanks Sis!

Deja Barlow: I messed up my natural hair journey last month with flaring my iron never again. It didn’t last at all plus my twists out not lasting but my flexi rod sets works for me more.

Natayia Young: Thank you so much for the tips!!❤️

Dominique443: I love this makeup look too! I'm in love with your eyeshadow

Imani Samone: babyyy air drying is a neverrrrrr (maybe when I get lazy) but yes I def try to avoid air-drying straight out the shower. at most if I need a break after washing my hair I'll just keep it under a shower cap until I'm ready to deep condition

Jessica Virgo: Did you used to live in NJ? I appreciated the content in your video, but I'm having a hard time finding a YT naturalista with the tips on winter hair care up north. There's a huge difference between 40° winter down south and these sub-zero winters up north .

Rachelle88xoxo ohwhu: Who else jams with her in the intro and mimics the "smash the button down below" part

Nina guy: OMG your hair is fabulous so pretty. Luv the information. My question is if you used semi permanent hair color. Plus take the proper steps to keep the hair moisturized would that be good. I only color every 3 to 5 months or so depending if my grays are pecking. I need tips. Please...
