Hey guys, it's Rachel welcome back to my channel today, I'm gon na be sharing with you, my winter haircare routine. One of my favorite things to do in the winter months from time to time is to make a homemade deep conditioning hair mask most of these ingredients. Can be found in your cabinet, I'm using milk honey, which is excellent for your hair, just stay away from bees and essential oil, which I've been really into essential oils, lately diffusing them and using them for various health reasons. But I love lavender and lavender is said to be excellent for your scalp and hair growth, so I'm going to put that into a squeezy bottle and apply it into my scalp going down to my ends. Once I've applied the mask throughout my hair, I'm going to go ahead and put it back into a bun and let it sit for about 20 to 30 minutes I'll, usually get some housework done or watch a TV show or read a magazine, but you just want To make sure you let it sit for a little bit of time and then go ahead and wash it out. My scalp is extra dry during the winter months and I have mild dandruff, so Byron actually started using head and shoulders for his dandruff and he turned me on to it. I love it. It has a really yummy green apple smell, and the zinc in the product is what helps with the dry scalp. So I use that as my shampoo next I'm going to use the conditioner, which I love, because it always makes my hair look super healthy and beautiful. You, if you're brave, a shot of cold water at the end of your shower, will increase circulation and help seal your hair cuticle for shinier hair. So, try that out also be sure to use your towel to gently dab your hair dry instead of putting it up in the towel that can cause breakage and split ends. I also use a wide tooth comb to gently remove any knots better in my hair. Next, I'm using a dab of serum which definitely helps prevent the frizzies. So I'm going to put a little bit of serum throughout my hair. I always try to be sure not to put too much because then my hair tends to look greasy, so just a little teeny pea-sized is enough for my entire head. Finally, it's time to whip out the blow-dryer and get my hair bone-dry. Who am I to give advice, I'm nobody, but take a listen. Just like everybody else, god I don't know how to say nice, I shut it up and make it glisten. I don't know is that believing it's free, yeah sure when I was out when I was down somebody told me some simple but a boat too we say lately I've been loving, just a simple blowout. It looks good with anything. You can dress it up or dress it down. So that's what I've been doing lately so yeah that completes my winter hair care routine. One tip also is to not forget to take your vitamins. I'Ve been taking skin and total body vitamins ever since the new year, and it makes such a difference in your skin. Your hair and everything so make sure you take your vitamins, drink, lots and lots of water, and you will have very healthy hair throughout the winter months and going into the summer months. So, thanks for watching be sure to click the link below for more info on Head & Shoulders products and see you soon. You

Kimberley King: Your hair looks gorgeous just blowdried, if I tried to do the same thing it would be a frizzy hot mess!! xx

Tracy Sweeney: I love these kinds of videos, especially hair care. Your hair is so pretty and healthy. I just got my haircut yesterday. It was down to the middle of my back and now it's as short as yours so to see you do this routine makes me feel better about the new length. One thing I do differently though is use less conditioner and usually only put it on my ends. I thought it would make my hair greasy but I have a dry scalp like you......does it make your hair greasy putting all of that and on your roots?

YourGirlAbla: Normaly i can tell if a video is sponsored the first few seconds.. but i honeslty did not see this one coming until the end. Witch is good, because it shows that you are genuine! I really liked the whole feel of the video.. the lighting was perfect too <3

Modern Mollie: I loved this! Your hair always looks incredible :) I'm going to try the hair mask tonight <3

beautygirly624: Perfect timing! I was looking for a hair mask, but none of them sounded good and easy to do! I'm so glad you shared this one! I'm gonna have to try it during my weekly pamper night routine!

J Sanchez: I love head and shoulder too ! It's my go to when i get dandruff and definitely helps me when my scalp is super dry. I have to try that green apple though! looks like it would smell super yummy. Keep up the great work Rachel! :)

Ashley: Rachel, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS WOMAN! This was so relaxing to watch and I am so intrigued to try that apple shampoo and conditioner!!! <3

Anna Elise: I love your videos so much, I just wish they were a little longer because they are just so informative and really creative! Thanks for another great video!

May Toolipa: I have crazy, curly natural hair and it is hard to work with sometimes, so I'm always looking for masks and other things to use to take care of my hair. I will definitely try this one! As for the Head and Shoulders; its a great choice! I've been using it since I was in elementary school, when I had a little winter time itch and my school nurse recommended it to me hehe Its been my wonder shampoo ever since! I always use the 2 in 1 kind, though, never the conditioner separate! I'll have to try that! I've been loving the almond oil one!

Carolina Rodas: I use Head and Shoulders all the time, it always leaves my hair fresh and smelling good, definitely good for the winter :)

psn_mm156: I tried this hair mask. My hair so soft, shiny, my scalp itch free..thanks Rachel!

geekNchic: I love the Herbal Essences Volume shampoo, it lets my hair feel bulkier and lifts it at the roots! :)

Vénus: Hey Rachel :) Do you know how long you can keep the hair mask in the fridge ? Do you have to throw it away after one use ? Thank you, I really like your videos !!   Love from France :)

Keren Goldian: That hair treatment/mask sounds awesome, I will definitely give it a try :) on a completely unrelated note, can you please tell us where you got your makeup drawers? are you planning a makeup storage video by any chance? :)

notoriousnoee: I love the green apple H&S! It seriously smells like a candy apple on my head or something… haha! Great video Rachel! =) xo

Calm Relaxation Sounds: Awesome video. Your hair always looks so healthy.

Kristina Hiller: I really like your videos. Your so helpful and I have learned a lot from you!! Thank you so much!!

ballroomkitten: Neutrogena T-Gel is the absolute best thing for my scalp, but it isn't good for (light) colored hair. So I only use it a few times during the colder months. For more routine use during winter, I love the Clear Shampoo, Complete Care Nourishing Anti- Dandruff. It's really inexpensive and works great. I can't find this one in drug stores so I order it on Amazon for about $6.

Mallory Olson: Great video! I'll have to try the hair mask. It would be perfect for a pamper evening! I hope my videos can one day be as great of quality as yours! :)

fitnessneeds: Great video! How much milk, honey and lavender do you mix together? Do you still use organic root simulator? Was that a Nume blow dryer? and did you use your carols daughter black vanilla detangler on your hair for this video? Ok, I think that's all :).

Dragonfly In amber: I love this video! U are so simple and beautiful, you deserve more followers!

Elisabeth Rothenbuhler: Excited to try the Honey Yogurt Banana mask!! *hopes my hair will look half as good as yours*

Melanie April Casuga: I always wash my hair with cold water every time I wash my hair. it gives me shine, body, and softness. I use herbal essences cleansing conditioner. You should try it :) Rachel Talbott

Kim Jansen: Hi Rachel, I love this video, one problem. I'm allergic to lavender oil. :( Is there any other natural oil that you recommend?

Amanda Ali: Enjoyed this vid! Love how you film and edit your videos :) xx

DeeDoesMakeup: I'm going to make the hair mask Rachel.Thank you sweetie.

Georgia X: Use apple cider vinegar to get rid of dandruff, it worked so well for me and my family, and I'm apprentice hairdresser so it's good

ashleyx21able: Its funny I was just thinking of how I needed to look for a good hair treatment as my hair is so dry after I had my son, so i came on youtube to look for one and your video poped up. This came at a perfect time :)

Becky Bonill: You Rachel and Lindy(bubz) are my fav youtubers... You two are so real and so nice, your videos are so lovely to se!

Filipa Lourenço: You look so gorgeous even with no makeup on =)

Jo Thika: I really admire how much effort you take to take care of your body and hair I'm just so lazy to do stuff Hats ofd

aida azrina: Please make a skincare routine!!

jenifer wendt: Most of us should know by now that head and shoulders is an awful product for your hair. It leaves a waxy film on your scalp making it seem like it helps your dandruff but it creates dandruff build up and If you switch products the film barrier will be broken and the dandruff is worse. But this video is sponsored so what can we do.

Cara Cole: Oh my goodness $145 dollars for a month of vitamins. I bet they work great but I'm gonna have to stick to my plain biotin lol

greysantomy09: I like to air dry my hair but my hair ends up frizzy and poofy do you have any recommendations? Thanks :)

Sherry Fang: Speaking of using e.o. for your scalp and hair, you can try using rosemary and jasmine. They are proven to be excellent for hair. Also, you should check out serene house's diffuser. I think you will appreciate their stream line design.

Anja Simunac: your hair looks amazing :)

Liana: I LOVE the Caress body washes, especially the burnt brown sugar one that you are using as well. Who says you need to pay a lot of money to smell amazing?

LoveofChocolate18: Great Video, Rachel! Nice Editing! <3

Cari Amelia: @racheltalbott would you mind doing a review on the Carols Daughter products? I saw a peek of a bottle in the shower and I was wondering what your opinion of them were. I recently bought the Cupuacu line of shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask at ULTA and I LOVEEEE it!!! I was in Target and spotted them and picked up a leave in conditioner and am excited to try it. I believe they are more geared to a more ethnic background, but they work awesome in my hair!! :)

fitnessneeds: I love your videos! Which would you prefer for a dry scalp..Your milk and honey mask, coconut oil or almond oil? Just had a baby and trying to make my hair regrow (lol) and treat my dry scalp.

Shradha Nayee: Wow!!! Your Hair Looks Amazing ❤

Aneesha Varshney: Hey! A little advice. Never comb or brush your hair when they are wet. It causes breakage.

Angel: I have horrible dandruff, but H&S makes my hair feel like sand paper. Does anyone know any alternatives?

Kalei Lagunero: Love your website! You inspired me to really invest and create my website! I love reading content that I can’t see here on youtube! Love ya girl!

Sarah: I think I might try H&D shampoo and conditioner, your hair looked clean and soft after using them

Shannon Wilde: What speed do you set your blow dryer at and wattage is it? Thanks. :)

Lucky Lily: I really love your videos! I would not recommend using conditioner on your roots, especially if your hair gets greasy often like mine!Put from ears down!At least that's what I do  :) xx

Katherine Silva: can you do an updated version of this diy mask?

Wellness At Tiffany's: I didn't know that Lavender helped grow your hair! Great video!

FLT FLT: Yeah another Video!!!! Loved it!!! Lots of love from Ireland!!!

Özlem: Yaay thank you I can use this my hair is getting dry lately because of the cold weather

Vanesa: If my hair was that easy to blow dry I would be in hair heaven. I look like a poodle if I do that :(

Bridget Burke: Gorgeous! As always

sp7796: do you always put conditioner on your scalp? i use to do that when i was younger but it completely weighs my hair down and makes it greasier quicker ;o

Katrina Lasha: How did you swallow all of those pills at once?!? You are so brave, my friend

May Toolipa: Also, if you see this, how much of each lovely ingredient are you using for this? Just a preference?

Sparkle Williams: I love that hair length on you it is perfect.

Yazmin Mota: I wish my hair was straight!!! It seems so easy maintainance!! Just shower and thats it super straight and shiny looking, i have to wash put tons of stuff to make it look nice and curly otherwise it will just be a frizz ball :(

Nadia Carbajal: Btw conditioner is put on the ends not on your scalp since it already produces oils

Beesan Elfarra: Love ur videos!

Lilac: Hi Rachel! I'm not sure why you deleted my other comments about the ingredients in the Head and Shoulders products, but I thought you might be interested in an article that just went in the New York Times about the allergenic ingredients I mentioned, specifically methylisothiazolinone. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/24/business/allergy-trigger-found-in-many-personal-care-items-comes-under-greater-scrutiny.html?src=me&_r=1&referrer This preservative is highly allergenic, so it's something to look out for in personal care products, especially ones that stay on your skin longer, like lotions or sunscreens.

Carolina Díazgranados Pertúz: Do you have any DIY recipe for dandruff. I can't find that specific shampoo from Head&Shoulders anywhere around where I live. Any you can recommend? I truly appreciate your advice. Greetings from Colombia

Vanessa Opal : woaj Rach those were a lot of pills you're so brave to take em all at once lol
