Hey yellow back to my channel Ambrosio, and this is recess Rizzo's for those of y'all who are tuning in for the very first time. Welcome to my channel I've missed y'all. By the way, I have not taken the time to just sit in front of the camera and talk to you all about the tips and tricks that I have on actually curly hair. I feel, like I've, been doing a lot of voiceover videos. It'S just been really really hectic during the day, but without further ado, I'm gon na go ahead and get started on these seven tips that I have for you all today on how to care for your naturally curly hair during the fall and in the winter months Tip number one is a pre-poo treatment. This kind of treatment is not to be confused with number two free pool stands for pre shampoo, which is gon na, be a treatment that you're gon na be applying onto your hair before shampoo or before washing your hair. It'S gon na help to ensure that your hair restores the moisture that it lost when it came to the changes in temperature, so whether it be you seeing in a room where it's SuperDuper, hot and then walking outside, where it's SuperDuper cold. That kind of change in temperature is gon na. Take a toll on your hair, usually in the colder months. The air is a lot drier, which means when the air is drier. It'S gon na want to take in the moisture from wherever it can get the moisture, and if you have moisture in your hair and then it's gon na take that moisture out, I will get to more of that in a little bit. The whole point is to really just maintain that moisture in your hair, keeping that moisture in your hair and keep in mind that, if you wash your hair, whether it be with shampoo or not, there is that possibility of you stripping your hair of its natural oils, Which is what helps to moisturize your hair in the first place? So if you do a pre-poo treatment before washing your hair, it's gon na help to replenish that moisture beforehand and keeping your hair moisturized. Even when you wash it - and in case you didn't know, pre put treatments also help with detangling. I do have a video on that. If you all are interested in seeing it I'll leave, the link down in the description box below the second curly hair tip for the Fallen in the winter months is to deep conditioned. You all probably think that I sound like a broken record with the amount of times that I've mentioned deep conditioning in my videos, but especially in the fall and in the winter months. Deep conditioning is so important. It helps with moisture retention, which is really important in the cooler months. So if y'all are interested in knowing what my favorite deep conditioners are again in the description box below - and I also have a video link to my DIY deep conditioner, which is super duper moisturizing. So interesting that of course go check that out. Number three is to get rid of your brushes and your combs. You really don't need them in the cooler months and I'll. Tell you why, in the fall and winter months, your hair is gon na, be a lot drier. It'S gon na be prone to break it. Just gon na be prone to split ends and knots and tangles, and all that kind of bad stuff for your curls. So if you use your fingers to detangle your hair or to brush your hair or to comb your hair or to even apply and rake in your products onto your hair, then it's gon na help. You find where those tangles and where those knots are. And then you can gently pull them apart, using some kind of light, conditioner or some kind of moisturizing conditioner number four is so avoid washing gos and while in certain areas you can probably still get away with wash and gos, depending on what the temperature is like. Like here in New Orleans, it's still not quite fall, yet I mean we're in fall, but it still feels like it's summertime. I can still get away with Washington, but in other parts it's already cold and watching those are going to kind of get a little tricky. Not only will your hair get stiff and brittle you'll catch cold if you can watch it on your hair the day before, and then that way the next morning you can use a spray bottle with some water and a little bit of oil to reactivate this product. At ease from the night before and then once your hair is lightly damp, you can go in with some kind of curling cream or curl, defining styling product of your choice and then, by the time you're ready to go. Your curls won't be damp enough to turn rock-solid when you go outside. If, for some reason, you cannot stay here the night before and you have to do a wash and go. Please use a diffuser make sure that you use a diffuser on low heat low blow. Setting and, of course, always with a heat protectant following winter tip number five is the loc method. Remember that the order in which you use your products is really important whenever the weather is changing again in the cooler months. The air is a lot drier, which means you want to keep that moisture locked in your hair as long as possible. The live method is a really great styling technique for the cooler months, and it's also really easy to remember so. The L stands for a leave-in or a liquid. The o stands for oil and the C stands for a cream. So, of course, you're going to start with a leave-in conditioner or your liquid, then you're gon na go in with your oil and then you're gon na finish it off with a styling cream. If you're interested in learning more about the loc method, I do have a video on that again. The link is down the description box below tip number. Six also has a lot to do with the products that you're using in your hair humectants you want to avoid them in case you didn't know. Products with humectants are pretty popular in the summer months because it helps to pull in the moisture from the air into your thirsty curls. If you use them in the fall and then the winter months are in the cooler months, you're gon na get the opposite effect. In the cooler months, the air is a lot drier, which means that if you use products that contain humectants, then it's going to be pulling the moisture from your hair, making your curls really dry and we don't want that and tip number seven is protective style. So in case you have a paying attention like I said, your hair is going to be a lot more fragile in these months your hair is going to be more prone to breakage, more prone to split ends more prone to knots and tangles, and all that kind Of stuff, so the best way to keep your hair healthy. The best way to maintain the healthy curls in the fall in the winter months is to protect. Your ends are to protect your hair in general. Go for styles that are up out of your face. Out of the way, especially if you're gon na be wearing things that are really thick and very woolly like scarves or sweaters or jackets, and things like that that your hair or your ends can really snap on to and then break. We don't want that. So, of course, if you put your hair up in a protective style, you are protecting your ends and then, of course, keeping your hair a lot healthier in the fall in the winter months, and because I'm Michelle and I'm just really excited about the weather, changing I'm Just gon na go ahead and throw in a bonus tip if you follow all of the above, the protective styles, the pre-poo treatments, the deep conditioning, all that good stuff. Why don't you go ahead and start off with the trim? A trim will not only help with better styling results, less nodding, easy to tangling all that great stuff, but you'll also have fresh and healthy tips that you will be protecting in the cooler month. You'Ll be taking extra precautions from the damages that you could be getting from too much exposure to the dry air and not only that, if you don't get a trim right now and yes, you are protecting the rest of your hair, but once that weather starts to Change and you'll notice that you want to wear your hair down and you want to see how long your hair's gotten. Yes, your hair has gotten long, but you still have those damaged pieces that you're eventually going to have to cut off and once you've cut off those pieces you're back to where you started. Whereas if you get your trim now - and you continue to protect your hair in the cooler months by the time spring, rolls around you'll notice that your hair's gotten longer and you have retained that length and your ends are not those damaged pieces that you first had Before you cut them off way back when which I mean like now so sorry, if this video was too long, I was just really excited to share these tips with you all, as fall has started to kick in. So please give this video a thumbs up. If you liked it and don't forget to subscribe, if you have not subscribed already for more tips and tricks on naturally curly hair and yes, let us know in the comment below what your tips and tricks are in the cooler months and how you protect your hair. In the fall and in the winter thanks so much for watching my cito and I'll, see you on the next video bye

Lorenitaguirre: Im so glad I found this channel!! I'm in the process of getting my curly hair back. I've seen several of your videos in english and spanish and I find all of your tips very useful. I know it's gonna take some time and I must be patient, still, I'm looking forward to see the final result, which I know will be positive. thanks so much for sharing all this with us!!

Marleen G.: What I mostly like to use in winter is something called the "rinse-out oil method". I use 10 drops of mineral oil after shampoo, put it in the lengths of my hair, rinse it out, then follow up with my conditioner. It does amazing things (nice and moisturized ends for a *week*). I still follow up with the LOC method, and I still do wash & go's --> diffuser is the answer to everything, right? ;-)

Nina Blackwell: This has been one of the better informative videos I have seen with protecting curly hair for fall and winter. And THANK YOU for pointing out you need a trim! It drives me nuts when curly girls say "you don't feel like getting a trim? Don't get a trim, it doesn't matter" Uh, yes, it does! And I have very fine curly hair and my hair not only grows faster with a trim but, it also is 10x's healthier looking as well. Thank you again! I am a new subscriber :)

Jordyn: So glad I found your channel! I love your energy. Thanks for all the helpful tips :)

Priya T: Thank you very much for your clear and easy to follow tips. Have been following your videos and they are by far the most helpful I have found for curly hair care. Gracias!

Jazmin Jordan: I do all of these tips, and I might need a trim. I'll have to check out my ends to see if I need a dusting. I want to take a break from using combs on my hair when styling. I use a detangling comb to detangle my hair prior to styling. Here in Georgia, it's not cold either. It's cool, but not cold. We have been in the upper 70s sometimes and other times in the 60s. But I prefer twist outs & braid outs for the cooler months.

Illy: Hey! Quick question... I've been using aloe Vera gel during this cold month and would like to know if I should stop. Is it just better to stick with a cream rather than gel because it is so cold?

Adoradora Ivelice Roman: Your awsome, informative, n to the point!God bless u greatly!

Alyssa Barajas: this is gonna help my hair so much thank you!!!

Sheryll Monique: You are in New Orleans?!!!! I'm from New Orleans. That's soooo cool! Btw so happy to find your videos since we have very similar hair texture. Loved this video. I've been trying to figure out why my hair is getting frizzy and I haven't changed my routine, it's the weather and the humectants. I'm in Illinois now. I look forward to more videos.

babyrolita: Great Tips! Will def need to start doing a few things on your list. Do you think its absolutely necesary to use your fingers to detangle your hair? I find that it takes so long to detangle all my knots with my fingers...

Eemily75: How often do you do some of these things? Especially deep conditioning, L.O.C. method and protective styling???

Monica Kneusel: AAHH!! Your hair is getting so gorgeous :D

NaturallyJennRose21: What are some good protective styles for thin/fine natural curls?

Jackie: This lip color looks amazing on you!

Ash's Natural Hair: Love love love your videos❤️

Cici b: I ❤️ your videos!

Monica Kneusel: I rinse my conditioner put with super cold water (just me head) after I shower, to reduce frizz. will that make my hair brittle?

Lourdes Segura: @risasrizos for a pre poo is it better to use a warm towel or can i just let the oil sit for a few hours. does it have the same effect .

Arabian Beauty: Ur hair gor longer love it and thanx so much gor the tips helped a lot ❤️❤️

Dayanara Viera: Is that why my hair gets crunchy in the cold even though I put no product in it?

Curly_Canary: Great tips although I don't really understand the LOC method.....chemistry teaches us that water and oil don't mix so it baffles me why you would apply a liquid followed by an oil on your hair because it seems to me like the oil would just sit on top and not really penetrate the hair shaft. No?? Just thinking out loud

Kris Michelle: Your hair is perfection

Janet Ramos: can you give me an example of liquids and creams?

Sabrine A: Updated curly routine?

Ney: I love your hair so much

annieD46: Great tips! Empieso ya!!

Crystal Elias: do you trim you're hair you're self or do you go to the salon

Adoradora Ivelice Roman: Your welcome!!! love...

Roxanne Sanchez:

Geraldine Garcia: beutifulll siempre te veo y si me preguntan cual es mi yutuber favorita siempre diriaa rociooooo besos

Sylvia S: where do you live?

Jay M: NEW ORLEANS! I live in New Orleans
