Hair Care In Harmattan. My Favorite Products And Diy Hair Mask.

Hi guys welcome back to my vlog um so as we all know that the season has changed and the weather is now dry um well, this vlog is going to be about skin care and hair care during the summertime dry season. Well, i've been doing this for a while because um - i don't know if some of you guys don't know, but i studied from sudan, so i lived there for like seven years and it's really dry there. So this is my go-to, hair and skin care. Well, anyway, for hamatan specifically, but because in sudan it was just basically all the way around so yeah, basically so now, what i'm going to do is i'm going shopping for oils and then we'll mix them up later on olive oil? Okay. So now this fenugreek paste i'm going to wet my hair and then i'll apply this paste to my hair and i'm going to leave it for as long as possible anyway, because i would say 30 minutes. But let me be honest: i'm going to leave it for like three hours in my hair, i'm going to do all my chores with it in my hair and then you trap the heat. Obviously like the way you do normal steaming. You either put a shower cap or a nylon bag or something and tie it, and then you can put something over the top now, if you have a steaming cap that would be great to you put your steaming cap and you steam with it. For me, i don't have a steaming cap, so what i do is i wet a towel. I microwave the towel for a few seconds and it becomes warm and then i wrap it over my head and then that first heat when it disappears it still traps the towel. Still traps heat into my hair and my body heat is also generating heat and then it stays there for a couple hours. I do all my chores, i mean you could even go out on your head. You tie a turban over it, but disclaimer fenugreek smells nasty for me honestly. I honestly don't like the smell of fenugreek, so it's something you just suck it up for a few hours, but it's amazing okay. So this is um coconut oil, and this is my shea butter which i'm going to melt it's inside nylons. So i'm going to remove it and melt it and then mix the two and then we're going to whip. So normally i would have done this with um lavender oil, essential oil or something, but i couldn't get my hands on an essential oil and i needed to film this vlog. So you can definitely add jasmine oil, lavender oil or anything. You like this is oh um. Okay, okay, so guys, please ignore the fact that i look like this: it's 12 a.m and i needed to vlog this so anyway um. So if you're too lazy to go through - or let me see, you don't even have the resources or the time to go through the whole process of creating whipped shea butter, which, let's be honest, takes a long time to do um these honestly see i'm not just Endorsing a crappy brand or whatever, no actually, this is actually an amazing brand honestly. So this is her sheer basically the same thing that i just finished doing with the shea butter, but this sheer cup she actually doesn't use shea butter and coconut oil. I think she uses moringa and olive oil also, so this is basically unscented shea butter, and this is the one with lavender it actually smells. So good lavender is one of my favorite scents. This is so nice. So when i'm feeling too lazy, this is it then her cheby butter mix the same butter thing but um with chili powder inside, so i've been very skeptical. This is the first time i'm going to try using chibi, because the last time i tried using chibi, i did not like it. I didn't like that. The fact that i had things in my hair - and i was leaving it for so long and i didn't like the particles they kept. You know my pillow, it was just so messy everything was messy. Everything was full of chibi, i didn't like it and then i didn't like the texture, my hair had afterwards it was brittle, it was dry, it was, i just didn't like it, so i never really tried it again because it was i think, two years ago, when The whole cheby hype thing was so much so it's possible. I did not get a good chibi brand. Also, i mean probably they gave me sand and i thought it was chewy but anyway, so i'm going to try the chibi butter mix, because i have seen amazing reviews about it, especially this so hopping on this trend. I will tell you guys if i do like it, then what do i use for my hair to wash my hair see when i was in sudan right my hair used to dry out. It was so difficult to maintain um. How would i call it to maintain humidity in the hair to maintain moisture and all these shampoos? A lot of them are not for our type of hair. They have this sodium laurette sulfate and it's it dries out our hair. It makes your hair feel frizzy in a way so i switched. I did some research and i realized that you know i could switch from that to baking soda. So i was washing my hair with baking soda, so i would make a warm water with baking soda. Like a teaspoon of baking soda in it with a spray bottle and i'll spray it into my scalp, and i would leave it for a while for like 10-15 minutes, then i will go in to wash my hair and i will scrub it off, and it makes Your hair squeaky, clean, like my hair, doesn't even get as dirty as it used to when i was using shampoos. So now, if you're not very comfortable with that, because it wouldn't form the way: shampoo, foams but honestly for some time. Sometimes it foams like when your hair is really dirty and all that it forms and then um, depending on how much baking soda you put into into it. If you put a lot of baking soda, it will form, and if you leave it on on your hair strands for a little while it will foam. So if you want the foaminess, you would get it too. Then. Another thing that i did while i was there was deep condition, like my life depended on it. So now that fenugreek paste thing that i did i'm going to deep condition, my hair with it and honestly it made my and, like i've, tried a lot of things. I tried avocado with honey. I tried um deep conditioners like different types of deep conditioners, and sometimes maybe i mix my natural ones with those ones, but at least once a month i try to do all those my diy ones. I don't know i just love doing diy things, especially with my hair, but instead of baking soda. I discovered the neem black soap by season and i honestly love it. I use it to wash my hair, it doesn't have the sulfates, it doesn't have all that and it does the job. It'S really nice. It'S it gives me the baking soda um feel that i get when i wash my hair, so i would recommend it also because i honestly use it a lot then deep conditioner, you can use any. I use i use organics i use mamiya. I use cantu um. I use zizam the penetrating deep conditioner also and then obviously my diy ones, and sometimes i do mix ups. Sometimes it's yogurt whatever it is. I put it into my hair to deep condition because honestly, deep conditioning helps you make your hair softer and it reduces that dryness that goes away from your hair and obviously after you've, rinsed out your deep conditioner, please leave in conditioner is your best friend leave-in. Conditioner is absolutely your best friend, so zizam has leave-in conditioning cream and she has leave-in conditioning milk, and i have tried so many leave-in conditioners and her leave-in conditioning cream is my favorite. I realized that a lot of people were all hyped up about her leave-in conditioning milk, so i tried it, but then that was like three years ago and i was like nah she's, not that good, because i did really. I thought she was not worth the hype. Apparently um the leave-in conditioner milk is known for my type of hair that my hair needed a creamier texture. So a lot of the people that i know have hair. That was, you, know, um fuller than mine, thicker than mine, and it needed the milk. While my hair needed to be weighed down in a way, so it um preferred the cream. So you obviously before you buy anything, just have a conversation with her and she would have an idea of your hair type and she would recommend things for you since i started using this cream. I honestly love it. I absolutely love it so, yes, this has been one of the best believe in conditioning creams. I have ever used in my life, then my hair oils. Obviously this is hamartan. That'S what i'm going to be using basically all the time for my hair. Almost all the time it's going on my hair on my all my hair um, it's going on my hair strands and then my scalp is going to have the zizam hair rescue. This is the hair gloss. I think the hair rescue is upstairs. I'M too lazy to go upstairs, but it's basically a mixture of her hair oils. Also, i i've never used the hair gloss. I think it's something similar. Okay, it's like a hot oil treatment. This can be used as a pre-poo of that's pre, shampoo, a hot oil treatment or added to deep conditioner to enhance its effectiveness. So that's not the hair rescue. The hair rescue is just like basically almost similar to the hair mixture um oil mixture that i make, which has coconut oil, um almond oil, castor oil, black seed oil, and then i add lavender oil or peppermint oil. Just for this, you know for essential oil smell, but those are basically the hair oils that i mix together. That goes on my scalp. Now, that's my hair butter goes on my hair strands every day. Every other day anytime, my hair gets water in it. I'M going to reapply that my shea butter butter on my hair strands and it's amazing - my hair - will not dry out at all like at all like. Even if the hair is dry, it still feels it has some bounce to it, because the shea butter is trapping in that moisture. So, even if your hair is drying, you don't want to. You know wet it with water. You could always wet it with a deep leave-in conditioner. It could be the leave-in conditioning milk. It could be the leave-in conditioning cream like now. If i want to, i don't want to use the whole bottle on my hair. I could take some mixer with water spray bottle section. We put some butter on the hair and it retains the moisture. Another tip that i would give you for this weather is protective hairstyles. I mean honestly, if you're the braiding type, the twisting type, the box braid type. Ah, the cornrow type, whatever it is for some people they don't like to breathe their hair cover your hair burn at your hair um. If you wear hijab, i mean try and put you wear scarves that don't dry out your hair. There are some. Some of our scarves are not really cutting they're, almost woolly in a way, then they're not really good. For your hair texture. They tend to dry out your hair, they absorb all the moisture they absorb all the oil that you're putting into your hair. So look for something that that is not drying out your hair and cover your hair as often as possible. It reduces exposure which is good for your hair. I hope these tips were helpful. I honestly do and i received a package from raw beauty. I have never tried her hair products. I'Ve been seeing that she started a beauty box, so i'm going to show you guys. What'S in it, i'm going to try using it, because i've heard good things about her stuff, i'm going to try using it and probably in my subsequent vlogs, if i've used it like maybe two three times i'll, let you guys know whether i liked it what i Liked the most, what was good for me, what did not work for me, but keep in mind that my hair type might not be necessary, might not necessarily be the same as your hair type. So when i'm making complaints about something, try to note if it's not like something that you would relate to probably because obviously, like i said, breathing conditioning cream is amazing. How living conditioning milk is amazing, but it was not amazing for me because of my hair type. The cream was better for me, so yeah. Let me show you the raw beauty box, okay guys, so i also got this algae some skincare products, and let me show you quite a number of things inside that um next vlog i'll probably be vlogging, my skincare routine, and all that. So if you like, this, definitely check out the next vlog. Okay, bye,
