Hello, hello, ladies welcome back to music and beauty TV. Thank you for tuning in subscribing and sharing this video. This is my client Kimmy, and I want to show you guys how I took her from her natural to Bea's beautiful box braids with spiderweb parts. So in this video we're gon na be featuring hair from sensational the expression collection, but this is their brand new pre layered, roooaar hair. It'S a braiding hair. That'S made exclusively with 100 % Kanekalon aquatex fiber. That means that it repels water and moisture which allows you to shampoo regularly with quicker drying time, even after you set it with hot water. It'S also pre stretched and pre layered to save on prep time, which I love, and it leaves you with a natural finished. Look, it's also pretty strong, bouncy and quite lightweight compared to other brands. So in this tutorial I'm gon na focus on the partying of the braids and just the way I went about installing these braids. I only looked at one video tutorial before doing this. I didn't really have time to look at everyone's videos, but this is my very first time attempting this style on camera. Y'All know I like to do crazy stuff for y'all, so hopefully you enjoy it, and you learned something from this video. I definitely made a couple of mistakes, but I also cleaned them up along the way and that's what it's all about. You learn as you go right so right now, I'm sectioning off the front area of her head first, because I wanted to do the parts in her front a little bit differently than normal and then the rest of them are gon na be somewhat diamond shape. Now, usually I see this style with triangular parts. You can do it whatever way you prefer, but the overall objective is to section out where all of the box braids are going to be first, so I'm sectioning them and then I'm putting them all in rubber bands, which I ended up kind of regretting later, because It made it a little bit harder to move on, but it does a great job at making sure the hair is completely separate from itself. Now I'm gon na begin doing the spiderweb parts by taking one section out at a time parting, a small strip on either side of the section and then putting it back into the rubber band. Now, the reason why I kind of regret it - the rubber bands, is because every time you take a rubber band out of someone's hair you're risking pulling bits and pieces of the hair out, I ended up realizing later on that I could have just braided the little Sections and pinned them to the side and got the same result, but you live and you learn right. I have seen people do it this way, so whatever way works best for you and your clients, some people's hair, it's so incredibly soft and stringy that if you don't rubberband it down, it's gon na get in the way of itself. So after you section out apart for a cornrow, then go ahead and cornrow that down so I'm starting with all the cornrows going from top to bottom. Parallel to the sections that I created, these cornrows are pretty skinny, I'm not adding synthetic hair to them. You can, if you wish, like, I said, base it off of your clients, hair texture. If your clients, hair texture, is like really light and soft and tends to come out of braids easily, it doesn't really have like that coarse grip. Then you may want to add some synthetic hair to it, but if not, then you don't really need to make sure the braids are skinny enough, because you're gon na be doubling up. So I'm starting out by doing these braids, like I said, heading from top to bottom and I'm not starting out doing the cornrows from the very front of my clients, hair line, I'm kind of going in the back of that front row of braids. But that's just my preference, you can do whatever you want and so I'm leaving the tail ends of these braids to be tucked into the box braids in the back of her head and now I'm going from like side to side so like starting some cornrows from The left and braiding them upward until I reach the middle of her head and the tail ends of these braids will be left out to be grabbed into the box braids toward the middle of her head. I'Ve seen people start the braids from the bottom of the nape area, braiding them all the way up to tucked into the box braids at the top of the head. You can do whatever suits you, but this is somewhat how it should look in the end and now, as you can see like these two braids, that met in the middle I'm going head and pulling them into the rubber bands sections in the middle. Another reason why I kind of regret it using the rubber bands is because I ended up taking them off for a majority of the braids anyway. My clients here was thick enough to be able to hold on a tight grip to the braids, so I didn't even end up needing the rubber bands. So much now, I'm going to section off the hair, so the rule I have comes with three bundles of pre sectioned hair and for each small bundle of hair within the pack. I separated it about three and a half times, so I got three and a half braids out of pretty much every small bundle, which means every pack gave me about ten braids at the end of the style. I ended up using about three and a half packs of hair. So after you get your section, then just go in now. If your clients hair, is the type of hair that four sections this big needs, the rubberband to stay in, you can keep the rubberband in, as I did on this braid, and just make sure that when you wrap that hair over the rubberband section that you fully Cover the rubberband, because you don't want that to show through but like I said for the most part, I ended up doing these box braids without rubber bands, and my client thanked me because she actually doesn't really prefer to have her hair braided with rubber bands, which I had no idea of until I did it so disclaimer. Ask your clients ahead of time, find out what they prefer. If in your professional recommendation, you believe that they should use rubber bands, then suggest that to them and explain to them why. I typically only suggest rubber bands for box braids if the clients hair is a little bit too weak to be able to hold on to the grip of the braids, and I think it's gon na slide right out. Otherwise, I feel like it's a lot easier on their hair, not to have the rubber bands in, but that's just my preference. I absolutely love this rule on hair, the pre-stretched hair for one thing, its expression here, which is like some of the best textured braiding hair, you're gon na find on the market. It'S so easily grips into itself. You don't have to fight with it in order for it to maintain shape. As you can see, all of these braids are the exact size. It was very easy to section off, but in addition, this new pre-stretched hair that they released is perfectly stretched. I mean how much time do we spend stretching our hair? It'S really annoying, and I just think it's such a blessing to finally have hair that you don't have to stretch it braids down seamlessly all the way to the end and gives you that firm, tight grip. That you need to seal the braids off at the end, without them unraveling too much. It'S just amazing y'all like definitely check this hair out. So now I'm going to show you a close-up of how I install braids when I'm at the top of my clients head. If you guys want a detailed, step-by-step tutorial on how I install box braids, I do have a box break tutorial on my channel. So make sure you check that out and I can explain why I'm doing everything that I'm doing make sure you break the braids down. All the way to the end, because they will unravel just a tidbit at the end as box braids do and you don't want them unraveling too much before you dip them in hot water. Now for the front box braids, I did leave the rubber bands on because this is such a large section that I had already laid down with products in the beginning, and I already had that sleek. Look that I wanted so leaving the rubberband on just allowed me to maintain that without compromising it had I taken the rubberband out and voila. This is the end result a close-up view on those parts y'all. I really loved the way this hairstyle came out and my client loved it too. So if you've never tried this style before, don't be intimidated, it's not that hard. It'S a little bit time-consuming when you do those parts, but by the time you get to the braids, it flies by look how neat this is with how they're all the same exact size and girth. I love the hair. It'S really light doesn't feel rough and her braids are really neat, so I just loved it overall. Thank you so much for watching this video for liking and subscribing and for sharing it with your friends. If you think it can help, god bless you and I'll see you on my next tutorial. You you
