Oh, i need to move the camera up a little bit. Oh too far come on move a little bit. Okay, it's not cut off! Okay, perfect! Welcome to the mcclure beauty salon today, chiquita wanting to keep that too. No i'm ava and i'm like no she's, just keeping to keitha wanted to keep the shoes they are going to learn how to braid very well at what age did you guys learn to do your own hair? I already know how to do braids if you were so great at it, then you'd be braiding your own hair right now. Oh, why don't you guys hush and just take the lesson? Okay, a lesson? Okay, let's get it started in this moment they have these braids in their hair, we're going to take one out at a time moisturize and brush through the hair comb through the hair and let them retry and do the break. What even needs to do my hair, if you do my messy i'm going to do this, look watching you was asking always watching after all the nonsense, it's time for you, girls to start learning to like take care of your own hair, because i'm tired. I am tired, i'm tired alexis, i'm tired ava how many times a week do you? Do you tell me? What are we gon na do this to our hair? Where are we gon na braid it? Why are you gon na put these braids out? I can do a hairstyle three days later um. When are we gon na? Take these braids? That'S not every day, she's got a point. What do you do? No, i got ta take out the rubber band because rubbing is just slipped and then they capture all this. Oh yeah, that makes it look bad, so i'm not going to use rubber bands this time you guys are going to do they're called anyone just spit in my eye alexis. You don't have scissors in my hand and you just moved. I could have cut off an entire braid chops. Is it a child? It'S a child, so alexis take out this one ava take out this braid so ava. What are you supposed to do when you're taking out braids? Now you have to put your um brush in the hole and then put it down, but you can't skip one because um big um knot, your hair. She smells like one. Why is you want me to play it back on the tape? Because you are yeah, play back play back alexis you're, taking out your own hair. How well are you doing you don't need a comb? That'S why it takes you so long. You like taking long. Yes, that's craziness! What we're gon na get in this video is level. Seven complaining, oh good time, nothing in my eye anymore, mama, there's nothing in my eye level, seven you're going to spray this part right here, all up and down. Rub it through gently wash your hands. Did you wash your hands with soap? Did you dry them? Okay? Now get this right here: half a pump rub it on your hands and then rub it from the root and then all the way down. Okay, good! This is what you do on when you did do our hair yep and now i want you to get the brush, that's behind you, but you have to hold this as you're brushing the bottom, so you're not pulling her hair award for acting hey yeah. I wasn't acting okay, i was acting. Where was i so you want to clip this over from here there you go yep. Now. All you have. Is this section that you need to braid right, so you go right here. Okay, let me show you so this is what i want to say, so you want to get as close to her root as possible, and then you want to hold the three. You want to start braiding as close to the root as possible. The other thing with your braids, sometimes you're, braiding your loose. You got ta, pull it a little bit to make it tighter. So what might make it easier to put a little bit of gray gel, which i think you guys had taken upstairs and then go back down here, a few minutes later wow i just threw it. How did you do that completely out of my hand, what the braid gel does it helps you control the hair, so we're going to take some. I, like toothpaste, put it on top of here, so you can just get it see i'm going to put some braid gel because i already have some on this toothbrush and it helps you control the hair. Now you can try and do the split of the hair. Okay, okay grab as close to the roots as possible. You'Re still grabbing way down here, close to the root, and you can start the braid, but you need to make sure you pull close. You know when you start your first one you want to pull. It closes. Yes, we'll toss your braid underhand like this. Is that a different one, it's a different way slower guys it's trying to become that's. That'S all, but also you need to make sure you split. That'S the hair. One thing is important: if you braid very loosely and i'll show you the difference when i braid what that means, i'm going to let ava do this one and we'll see how it turns out your braiding is not bad at all ava, it's not bad. I think i did really good and i think i should put this a little bit tighter and i'm used to doing it with rubber bands, but i think i did pretty good. Let me show you: i want you to see what i'm doing. Okay, people are going to ask: why am i wearing gloves? Well, because i have long nails and the gel everything is under my nails. I don't want that so scania, weinstock and racemen. So i have my three. You got a grip close to her root. You see how i'm close to each braid, so each one i do so it's tighter instead of braiding way down here. You see my hands are at the braid that i'm doing they're not way down here. So your technique was fine. Yes, three, you know. I do three, you don't have to do all that, but your hand needs to be holding each part of the braid, so it doesn't loosen up wow alexis. I see you laughing so look there. Then we get the rubber band and you want you, girls, to learn how to take care and braid your own hair, because it'll start to make my life in virginia and i don't have to be concerned all right. Ava, i've set up another one for you to try and do i already put the gel on the end. Okay, now you can go ahead and try and we'll. Let you just do this one and you need to braid softly and tightly before you do that. Make sure it's tight also, it was your braid technique that under braid technique, i don't know who taught you that you're still not pinching at the braid you're, still holding a braid way down here. Look like a pincher look at my braid here and look at your braid. Do you see how the difference and how loose it is? Look. What happens when you do that? Look at the end of her hair! That was your first lesson: ava. Okay, we'll keep doing this until you learn how to do it. Okay, but good. Try good, try, nine out of ten for effort. It is now alexa's turn to start to learn to breathe. That'S enough get a small pump of that. It'S not a small pump. That'S a very big pump, rub it in your hand and then rub it through her hair she's rubbing it. So you have it on both hands. Now get the brush start from the bottom. You have to hold as you're detangling the bottom, so you're not pulling your hair. Yes, okay, then you move up a little bit and you move your grip up. Then you're going to grab the root before you start. Moving on, let's turn the brush upside down and go through the other underside too get hair gel, rub it in between your hands and smooth it onto onto the very base. Okay. Now it's gel at the root and just pull it apart. So you make sure you see her scalp. All i have to say is that this is hard work. You want to bring it close to the root as possible. Then pinch right here with your fingers: that's what holds it yep and now go over with that one. You both braid the same way, i'm wondering who taught you this eva. Is that why you were exactly like her? I taught her. I you guys both braid holding super loose away from the hair. This braid is very loose and it's very loose at the root too. So i'm going to show you how to braid tighter so look. This is not a bad braid as far as neatness, but it's just very loose. Remember. I was talking about the pinch. Okay, the pinch is what you guys are missing pinch, the hair at the braid. So that it, you know, it's tighter, that's why you get these tangles at the end because of the way you're braiding too. You see what i was saying right so split the hair right. So i'm splitting it pinch okay and go over i'm, but you see i'm never. My hands are never down here, because my two fingers are pinching. It that's what that's what's missing for you, girls is the pinch. You see that it looks tight and smaller. You can see how my braid starts here down here closer it's tighter, okay, now alexis you're going to make another attempt at doing this, braid right, so you're, going to start close to the root use your thumbs to grip. Just like you would grip anything use your thumbs and your index finger to grip it now. You guys need to learn the pinch technique. That'S that's what it is. That'S why your braids aren't staying tight. The way you guys are holding the hair is interesting alexis. This is lesson number one for you as well, so we're going to keep practicing until you guys figure it out. Okay, are you willing to learn how to do your own hair yeah? Are you willing to learn how to do hair yeah, but doesn't mean i won't. I won't ask for help. We are going to pretend we didn't hear that so the girls tried they actually braid very neatly, which is good. They have a good base. They have a good foundation of braiding. They just need to learn to braid a little tighter. Yes, so we're going to keep doing this guys, this is going to be serious. Maybe it'll help your child because i think it's important now you girls are going to be nine years old and your mama needs a break, but maybe you could help each other. Do each other's hair soon? Wouldn'T that be something thank you for watching and make sure you do more videos subscribe and show them on the more caucasian. Thank you for watching.

Dianne: I thought they did a really good job. Is one a lefty? I’m left handed and my braids were always different than others because I braided underhand as well. I also held the hair the same using my pinky. I’m 57 and to this day I can’t braid my own hair. Put a little one in front of me and I can make beautiful hairstyles. Maybe if they started with something like braided pony tails it would be a pretty quick and easy style they could do. Plus it’s one of my favorite styles you do for them.
