Surgery Day #Siiriparkss #Hairstylist #Nervous #Gastricsleevesurgery #Gastricsleeve #Weightloss

Hey babes, it is less than 24 hours before my gastric, sleeve surgery and nervous excited hopeful for a happier healthier future. I don't know honestly, I can't hone in on one emotion it's a multitude of them um, it's so many different things. It'S like good and bad, and a lot of people have been asking what I'm supposed to eat after surgery, no uh, no, but the first two weeks, you're on whole liquids, and then after that you can start introducing like pureed Foods. Um, like cottage cheese avocado like mashed up avocado um, the only thing that I really am going to miss a super lot is beef. I'M not going to be able to have beef for the next six months. A lot of people have also been remarking on the potential hair loss. Um I mean I'm going to do what I can but, like I said, I've already lost a lot of hair from having covid three times. I hope that what I lose isn't a drastic amount, but to kind of combat that hair loss, I am taking the berry life, Hair, Skin and nail supplements. So hopefully that does me good and furthermore, I just don't want people to acknowledge the way that they phrase things, because I know that it's not being said like out of malice or to intentionally hurt my feelings or anyone else's feelings. Who is considering or is getting this surgery that so many people are commenting saying? Why are you getting this surgery you're beautiful, the way you are or you don't even look that big first off, I am I'm just very tall, so I have more length for my weight to distribute. Secondly, my BMI is over what qualifies me for this surgery and thirdly, I don't think most people go into this surgery. Thinking, like I'm ugly, that's why I'm getting this. I don't think anyone. I guess the surgery is ugly they're doing it for a lifestyle change. So just be cautious of the way that you word things because, even though your intentions behind saying them might be like super sweet, it can come off like really mean because it's I don't know it's just insinuating something that we hadn't even thought of. Yet you know, I don't know just Be Kind. Rewind Love Thy Neighbor wish me luck, because in less than 24 hours and going under

Cherise Castille: I hope the surgery goes well! Also, thank you so much for sharing how you felt about the comments with so much respect and grace, giving people the benefit of the doubt while telling the truth of how their comments came across. So classy❤

Megan: Literally everything you said. I had the surgery in July 2020 and the number of people who cut off contact with me because they suddenly said I was "fatphobic" when it's literally about getting healthy. One comment I heard from a former VSG youtuber was "I'm not a dumpster behind Walmart". Every time I have the urge to eat to over-fullness, that comment comes to mind. You've got this, Siiri!

Frenchish?: so proud of you Siiri for sharing this with the world! We love you so so much and we wish you the absolute best! You are beautiful and talented and so so strong ❤✨

Rachel: You’ve got this! So happy and proud of you! Praying for a speedy recovery

Izzy: You seem like you are ready for this and we are ready to support you unconditionally!!! we all hope for a painless and easy recovery and for YOU to feel happier and healthier ❤❤

NativeNYerChicHK: Girl, you’re gonna rock the shit out of this surgery, this recovery and the new you that you envision for yourself! Don’t worry about those who seem to think they know better for you and your life. This is about YOU and what YOU want! The power of positivity is REAL!! Sending you all the positive vibes I got!!! ♥️

Cindy Patturelli: Congrats. You got this! I had the sleeve done 5+ years ago. It wasn't easy. But best decision I've made. Brings on a new lifestyle and outlook into taking better care of what you consume. Couldn't agree more about how people can phrase their thoughts on it, even tho it's not meant w/malice. You will do great! Congrats and good luck!

Tanya Flynn: Please keep us posted on this journey! Sending you much love! ❤️

Diane Daguio: Congratulations on this journey. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on February 9th. You’ve got this. It’s your life and health that’s important.

DomesticKrys: As a former bariatric progressive care nurse, you’re getting a new tool in your healthy toolbox. You have to take good care of your tool so it can serve you well on your journey. Congrats and best wishes on your journey to a healthier you

HeadlessHairdresser: I'm so excited for you! The nerves you feel are completely valid, you got this

Laura Coleman: Had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in 2010. Would do it again in a heartbeat! First few weeks are a bit tough... but the light at the end of the tunnel is soooooo worth it!!!

Kimberly Shifflett: You got this babes...one of my cousins had it done 6 months or so ago and she told a male cousin of ours that its very hard at first to follow and do everything you're supposed to as he is thinking about getting it done. Much love and good vibes headed your way girl!! ❤

Kandice Jackson-Drake: You've got this! Prayers for a speedy, uneventful recovery.

Willow J Wolfe: I totally understand the frustration. I had to have a hysterectomy two weeks ago and am still recovering and I’ve had the same issue with the way people word things. I also understand the nervousness. But you got this babe!

Julie B: Girl you’ve got this! There is nothing better than feeling healthy and living your best life, and I’m so proud of you for setting the hurtful comments aside and doing what you know is right for you. We will be here and look forward to seeing you shine even brighter in the future as you live the life that makes you happy ❤ let us know how we can support you! And if anyone talks shit, send them to your comments section. We’ve got your back, love.

MaineCoonMama: You've got this! I think it's amazing that you're taking this step toward improving your health and staying healthy in the future. Do what you gotta do, and don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. ❤

Yeimary Cruz: My mom started dealing with heart issues when she was only 30. Eventually she had to get a pacemaker and all the meds she had to take over the years caused a hugeeee spike in her weight. Her health started to get worse because of it, so she decided to get this surgery done. She still has some issues but is 100000% better off. Do what you gotta do Siri ❤️

Kathrin Sides: I wish you happiness and good health as you continue on your journey. I was once pushing 300lbs, and now I am well below 200lbs which is something that I never thought I would see again in my life. I didn’t get weightloss surgery, but I did end up with a medical condition that greatly impacted my ability to eat, and it changed my life. I sincerely hope that your surgery goes well and that you have a great recovery and success in your goals!

Crazyshilo: Take deep breaths; take deep breaths Hope that helps calm the nerves and that you have a fast, safe, speedy recovery, you got this girl ^_^ glad, happy, and worried for you You got me all nervous and anxious for you (but in a good way) No surgery is ever easy but you're powerful and awesome so, you got this ^_^ (all your fans are here for you every step of the way) ^_^

AmyBluesoul: Hey Siiri, I had a gastric sleeve surgery and it was great to help lose the weight. I sadly opted to go back to work wayyy to soon and a job that didn't allow me to do the small meals multiple times a day like I was doing prior and should have. I was required to quickly eat when you're not supposed to and restretched my smaller stomach. I hate when someone says, Oh you're so beautiful and perfect that way you are! I didn't say I wasn't beautiful, I said I was fat. That's a fact. Morbidly obese is what the doctors call it! I'm actually almost back to the weight I started at and needing spinal surgery but my BMI is too high to proceed. I'm in extreme pain, unable to stand for more than 15 minutes at a time, etc so I'm having to see about the ultimate surgery, gastric bypass. I'd avoided it even though it had the least chance of regaining weight because of the major food restrictions but being in pain the rest of my life isn't an option for me either.

Kimberly Heslep: Sending best wishes for a swift and easy recovery. One thing that I did not expect is how fast you are full (lots of inflammation at first). One pill and a sip of water and that’s all I could do! Be kind to yourself and let people fuss over you. You are loved!

Sabrina Finucane: From one Florida girl to another, sending you love and prayers on your health journey!

Kevin the sea cucumber: Love your transparency and dedication to working toward a healthier you. You are an inspiration and encouragement to me on my own journey. You got this.

DeAnna Treat: I'm proud of you for taking control of your health. Praying for a speedy recovery, and please listen to your doctors. <3

Heather O'Day: You GOT this mama!! You're going to be great. Sending all the love to you for a swift recovery, love to your medical team for a perfect procedure, and love to your family and friends who may be helping you with aftercare. You're supported and loved by us!! ‍♀️

Jen: You've got this Momma!! Praying for a safe surgery and recovery.

littlemisstentoes: I'm so excited for you! I'm planning to get my weight loss surgery this year! I have EDS so I have very bad joint pain, making it very hard to work out as hard as I need to lose all my extra weight. I've been kinda secretive about it cause the few people I've told and said the same things to me too making it all about the looks. Idgaf anymore about my looks, I care about being able to get out of pain in extreme pain everyday and being healthier.

Hypno Kare: You’ve got this! I’m working on getting a sleeve so I can lose weight to meet criteria for a kidney transplant. I hope your journey with it gives you the success you are looking for!

julie carlin: you got this girl, wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery.

reistart ♡: Bit late but I hope it goes well! You're amazing and I hope this will make you feel less insecure (if you did feel insecure sorry if I sound mean) and just better overall! You'll always be beautiful surgery or not! Have an awesome day, Siiri!

kalieris: Hope all goes smoothly! I’m excited for you and hope that it brings you all the benefits you’re hoping for. ❤️

tenten32158: I wish you all the best with the surgery and weight loss. I hope you have no complications and recover quickly. As someone going through my own weight loss journey, I know it can be really HARD! Don't feel discouraged when you plateau or feel like you hit a wall. In the last two years, I've had multiple times (at least four) when my weight stagnates or goes up and down for several weeks or even a few months. If you trust the process of eating well and exercising regularly, it works out. And like you said, it's about health and lifestyle changes. My body feels so much better now that I actively drink way more water and actually eat fruits and veggies everyday. I hope whatever changes you make helps your body feel great.

Amy: Speaking from my own hair loss experience from Crohn’s disease… hair loss is horrible and stressful and makes you feel like less than nothing. I had to shave my head to force myself to learn that my value is not in my hair. My value is my entire being. And as far as beauty, I learned to love my face, my neck, my posture, my height, etc. It’s been almost three years since the shave and my hair has grown back so much healthier and more lovely than it ever was before. So Siiri, I hope you don’t experience hair loss, but if you do, you are still the same wonderful Siiri. And I’ll hope to see some vibrantly colored buzz cuts

cinnamorollscientist: I hope it goes amazing!!! I hadn't heard of this surgery before I watched these videos so it's been really cool learning about it!

Kari Bubnow: Sending all the positive and healing energy to you, your techs, nurses and doctors for a speedy and healthy recovery! ❤❤

Michele Bowen: Praying guidance for the surgeon and team doing your surgery. Also, praying for quick recovery for you! Hugs

Kathleen Thompson: I really applaud you for doing something that will make you feel better in general and about yourself. We all have things that we don't like about ourselves and want to change it. For some of us the timing is just all wrong, and for others it is another reason why it isn't feasible to change those things. When I was younger, I was a great size and liked myself, then I lost my Husband and my Mother both to Cancer within a couple of years of each other. I gained a lot of weight and I was not interested in losing it. Now, when I am 64 I wish I had not been so lax about my weight, it is really hard to lose weight at this age. So I applaud you for being proactive. I wish you well!!

franzessie96: I am so proud of you and so stoked for you! Sending you all the good vibes!

Natalie Robbins: You look great girl. You’re also going to look great in the future through this journey and with the varying results you achieve with this choice. Take care of you, love you. Congratulations on this next step in your journey and all that it brings. OMG I didn’t know about the beef restriction!! What’s that about lol

Sometimes it snows in April: Ugh I’m so happy for you!! You’re making a healthy change. It’s time for you to shine…brighter

Jillian R: So excited for you! I'm almost 3 month post op. Best decision hands down!

Connie Lichtenberg: Sending good vibes and lots of healing. A few of my friends had this surgery. They are doing great and it's been many years. You can do this!!

Modern Jewelry Creators: Go you! My niece had this surgery last year & has dropped 100 lbs! She feels & looks great! So all the well wishes & lots of love!! Also i had a tummy tuck in 2001 after having 3 kids, just for loose skin and it was the best decision I ever made for my body! My stomach has stayed flat as a pancake!

Chez G: Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been considering this surgery for over a year now. Like you, I’m tall and it’s distributed well, but I have diabetes and other health issues that the surgery will help alleviate. Good luck on your journey, I wish you all the best. PS I’m not sure what’s worse, losing hair or no beef!!!

KT: Im so happy for you girlie and the new chapter in your life

Holly J: I'm so excited for you! For a healthy happy future! Praying for a successful surgery and recovery!

Nicki Stroud: Really well said. This surgery is hard but will be the best thing you ever did for yourself! You got this!

Christine Robinson: Excited for you to have this tool! I had VSG in 2014 and my best advice is to go slow and listen to your body. Reach out for help when you need it. Take care and I hope you have a smooth recovery.

Joni McTaggart: I want you to know you are beautiful no matter what ❤️ before and after any surgery but ofc we all support this because we want you to do whatever you need to do to be healthy. Gorgeous inside and out ☀️

MamberCheese: Praying for a speedy recovery! Take it easy!

S May: You’ll do great. It can have bummer days (for instance, I can’t have cake, so birthdays feel kind if isolating sometimes) but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I am so much healthier. And now, when I do need to go to the dr, they don’t focus on my weight and look at the rest of my symptoms.

Sherry Wingler: I pray your surgery goes well! I totally get wanting the surgery...my doctor and I compromised and I settled for lapband. It served me well, though I still feel I would have been happier with the sleeve. I did so much research and you are doing a safe procedure and though you have a time-line ahead, you are going to do great!!! Love and blessings to you ❤️

Sharon H.: Good luck! You are beautiful no matter what, but I'm excited for you and hope that the transition to your new lifestyle goes smoothly. You Go Girl!

JUST ASHY: I'm really trying to phrase this properly, here in Australia my mum had to get truly so big before they would let her get that surgery and it took me back hearing yiu were able to which is FANTASTIC!! the fact my mum wasn't able to get it because she wasn't "big enough" is quite disgusting everyone deserves to feel awesome in their own body!! Good luck for the surgery!!!!

Phoebe Davis: I had a gastric sleeve in 2014, after having a lapband in 2010. Both surgeries were the best decisions of my life! It is not a magic bullet and it is not easy however much the naysayers preach that. Major surgery never is! What worked for me is that I just gave in - by that I mean I simply went with the health and diet program. It seemed clear to me that MY food decisions got me where I was, so I needed to follow theirs. It paid off for me. I have slowly gained back 20 pounds, but starting at 300 pounds, I initially lost 130 pounds and have kept a total of 110 pounds off for 9 years. I'm so excited that you made this incredibly difficult decision - I hope it will be as fantastic for you as it was for me.

Katie Ha: I hope your recovery goes smoothly! I hope you feel happy and healthy and confident!

Melissa Willingham: I love you so much! You've got this girl. I hope everything goes well. All that matters is how YOU feel in your own body. Do you baby. I'm currently struggling with a tremendous amount of weight gain due to a heart attack. I'm only 32. But I know you're going to dominate this. Yes you're absolutely gorgeous the way you are... Might have a bit of a crush on you lol ( ok a super huge crush) but do what makes YOU happy. I'm excited for you. And again I hope everyone goes really well ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cristal Henson: Praying for a safe surgery. I know everything will go great!!!
