noth: My hair was always frizzy until I discovered curly girl method and good shampoo (also a good hair cut). It’s life changing.
If anyone is curious and can be bothered reading I’ll write out what I do but there are so many you tube videos on it too.
I use Bondi boost rapid repair shampoo,
Garnier hair food conditioner,
A turbie twist that’s microfibre,
Schwarzkopf keratin strength mousse,
I shower normally and when I rinse out the conditioner I only run my hair for a little bit.
When I get out of the shower I wring it out and then put some of the hair food through as a leave in.
I put it in a turbie twist to absorb most of the water while I do my face, deodorant and moisturiser.
I let it out and get a generous amount of the mousse and finger comb it through. (Some people put the mousse in as well in the last step but I like to style it a little after the turbie as you have more control over your part and where the curls go)
Then I hold my head to the side and scrunch upwards to encourage my hair to go into locks of curls together.
Let air dry. This will make less frizzies because the hairs that are usually all floating around have a little group to curl into.
Then when it dries you do the crunching motion again gently with a little anti frizz stuff on your hands (I use the Bondi boost one)
I honestly get so many compliments on my hair now and people who wish they had curly hair when I’ve always fried mine out of shame ever since I was 10 before straighteners were even a thing and we used a literal iron (I’m 33 now)
Lunartic: GIRL. THANK YOU
