Hey guys today, I'm gon na be showing you how I use curlformers to get sleek heat free curls. As you can see here, I put the orange curlformers in the back in the pink in the front and that's just because the orange curlformers are a little bit bigger than the pink. So I'm gon na go ahead and apply my products and I'm using the Miele organics pomegranate and honey line. Now I have already done a video review of all the products that I've used in this video so go ahead and check that out. If you want to see how I like the products, but I'm gon na start by applying the leave-in and I'm really gon na work this in and make sure my hair is super detangle, because I don't want my hair to snag on the curlformers and then I'm Going to apply the Miele organics curl smoothie, and this is just gon na - be my moisturizer and it's gon na lock in the moisture from my leave-in, and I'm also just gon na apply this in smaller sections and make sure my hair is very smooth and then For some hold and definition, I'm gon na use the Miele organics curling custard and apply that piece-by-piece right before the curlformer set. So I apply the curling custard and much smaller sections to each individual section right before I put it in the curlformer so to apply the curlformers to your head. You'Re, just gon na take the one that comes in the package and stick one of the curlformers through, and you want to make sure that the wands hook is still peeking out because you're gon na need that to put the curlformer in your hair. So you just twist your hair at the root, then hook the wand around that section of hair and then you're gon na pull the curlformer up to the top of the wand and pull the wand out the bottom of the curlformer. And that's how you basically pull your hair into the curlformer and that's how you apply the curlformer now, if your curlformer isn't really formed properly, all you want to do is just smooth it out with one hand, while you're holding you at the root with the other. So it doesn't get pulled out and then let it snap back into place now. This was my first time using curlformers and it wasn't a completely smooth process. So here I'm going to show you guys what happens when I don't put enough water in my hair before applying the curlformer, so my hair was kind of damp instead of dripping wet and my hair got stuck in the curlformer to the point where I couldn't pull It out all the way, so I had to start over by basically pushing my hair out the top of the curlformer, and I had to reset section and Reedy tangle it so that I could apply it a second time, which is what you see here. So I made sure I apply plenty of water beforehand. Then I just put my section through the hook: hold the coral farmer to the top of the hook and then pulled my hair through the curlformer by pulling the wand at the bottom of the curlformer and then again to get your hair to form the correct shape. Just pull it all the way out and then let it snap back into place, and sometimes you just kind of have to play with it a little bit to get it in the right position. So after a few fails, I did find the proper process for me, and that was dampening my hair to the point that it was dripping wet. Then smoothing and detangling my hair very, very thoroughly twisting my hair at the root taking the hook of the wand and applying that to my section of hair, underneath the section that makes a big difference as well, then pushing the curlformer to the top of the wand And then pulling the wand all the way through the curlformer from the bottom. Now I am using the 22 inch curlformers, but some of my hair is a little bit longer than that. So the way that I fixed, that is by holding the curlformer at the root. So I don't pull the curlformer out by accident and then just smoothing it out all the way through to get the hair in as much as possible and you'll see throughout this video that some of my ends are sticking out. But I really couldn't do anything about it, but I later learned that I didn't have to put the curlformers so close to the roots of my head. You actually don't need to put them right. Next to your scalp, you can put it down about a half an inch to an inch if need be just because they're, so tight at the top and 22 inches was the longest that they had in stock at my celly beauty. But I saw that you can buy them online for 29 inches. So if you have really long hair, don't worry, they still have curlformers for you. So here I'm just showing you guys how I apply the pink curlformers and, as you can see here, I have a lot of hair hanging out, but it actually ended up working out fine. I was kind of not knowing what was gon na happen with my natural curl pattern, just hanging outside of the curlformer, but in the end it worked out. Okay, now the way that I dried, my hair with the curlformers and it was by sitting under the dryer for about an hour and 15 minutes, and that was about as long as I could take it and I was under the medium setting. And then I went to sleep with the curlformers and the next day I kept them in my head until I made it to go somewhere, so I probably had to curlformers in my head for about 16 to 18 hours, and here is what the final result looks. Like, as you can see, I have some curls sticking out, but I can't do anything about it and I ended up using about 34 curlformers and 40 came in a pack for a price of, I think 70 dollars. So I could have put more curlformers in, but honestly was just ready to go to bed. So here's my hair the next day. Everything is completely dried and I'm going to go ahead and do the takedown process and in order to keep my hair sectioned and organized I'm going to just take little bunches of curlformers and put hair ties around them and then to remove the curlformers. All you have to do is stretch it out, then pinch the opening of the curlformer at the root of your hair and then pull the curlformer slowly off of your hair and you get a curl, and this was my first time doing this. I was just so surprised at how well it came out, and I'm just gon na repeat this process across my entire head of hair, just making sure that I'm pulling slowly. So I don't rip any hair out now for the rides that have hair at the bottom of the curlformer, as well as the top I'm gon na pinch, the bottom to open that up and I'm gon na pinch the curlformer at the root of my head to Open that as well, so that my hair slides easily throughout it with no breakage or just pulling of my hair and just a heads up for anybody. Thinking of sleeping with these overnight, make sure that you don't put the curlformer so close to your scout. Because that can be painful and cause tension, while you sleep and also I sleep on my side and was able to sleep on the curlformers, because my pillow was so soft, so you may be able to sleep regularly with these in it's not the most comfortable night's Sleep, but you can still sleep regularly, so here's what my hair looked like when I took out all the curlformers. It'S really shiny and bouncy, and super moisturized and lightweight, and I'm just gon na, take some oil to go ahead and fluff my hair out and break some of the curls apart. So I can get some volume and I like to just push the oil into my hair first and then I also like to just pull my hair so that I can kind of stretch the curls out before I start separating and the way that I separate is Actually, really important the way that you separate, so you don't cause more frizz, so I just like to pull on the curl and let it break apart. Naturally, and then I section it in twos or threes, and I retwist each section that I break it into so. If I break one big section into three smaller sections, I retwist each smaller section and make sure that the curl is frizz free and that it's so formed. Well, because it's not your hair, isn't gon na be as curly once you finish, separating it and now for the volume all I'm gon na do is just rub. The roots of my head with the pads of my fingers, and I'm also just gon na shake my hair around and kind of loosen up the hair at my roots, especially since I twisted my roots to get a sleeker set and here's the final result. So I really like it a lot. It came out really nice and I feel like this. Hair is perfect for like a holiday party or any type of event that you're gon na be going to in the winter season, because you get to stretch your hair without using heat and then also the curls can last you for a week to two weeks. So if you have back-to-back events, you don't have to keep worrying about doing your hair. Now here I'm just Bobby pinning the part in the back of my head to hide it, and I like to do this on day, one because I don't want to fluff my hair out entirely, because I find that that causes frizz and shortens the lifespan of my Style, so that's the end of this video.
