Welcome to the extended version of Juan story.

I sat down with Juan to hear more about his experience with going bald and dealing with it for the last 6 years.

Juan decided that he had had enough of hiding under hats and not lying his life to the fullest so he decided to shave off his hair, take off the hats and hide no more.

I then sat down again with Juan for a catch up chat to hear all about others reactions and how he feels post buzz.

This is the extended version of Juan's story.

Thank you so much for watching and we both hope this helps you if you are struggling with losing your hair.

#Baldcafe #goingbald #balding

This is where i had issues with. If you look over here, that's what my main problem was. My brother was walking behind me. It looks like you're you're, hair standing in the back. I just said no, i was like it's it's windy, that's what it is check. The back of my head and sure enough, i was standing in a crown area. I just lost a complete list, so that was like a little rough patch cheers. My girlfriend was watching like one of the morning shows out here. The actor was uh matthew mcconaughey. They were just commenting on how he had like amazing hair out of all the actors, and he mentions how his trials and tribulations are going through hair loss, and he also was standing in the crown in the same area started. Taking this stuff called uh regenexx, i'm gon na cut the ponytail off. First, it's a little bit different went got the testing done, they create all these little files of stuff and it did work. I did see results like okay cool, like this is gon na work out, but just like anything else, you got to stay consistent. It'S expensive, like i want to say mine alone, like that stuff was like two to three thousand, and it was for like a two-year session, ten years or thirty thousand dollars just to kind of get by with it for the public appearance. It'S it's a high high price to pay. I don't wan na keep this up. That was the hardest part. That'S insane! Looking at! You know all these transformations. You know a lot of these guys. Look really good, and i think one of the the cool things is how much a lot of people say how much the pressure just it feels like it's relieved as soon as they get that one shave in, and you know they just feel the pressure off. Oh boy, that was the hard part. I look like a circus clown or something. This is the part that gets everybody but, like i said, we're beyond that part, and the time after i stopped using the product, i kind of just started finding ways to just kind of deal with it, as i was trying to find the confidence to cut my Hair, it felt like a wave of just i'm gon na. Do it now. Oh i'm gon na. Do it next week, i'm gon na. Do it before this big trip never could pull the trigger, but yeah you make the adjustments you. You only go to clubs that don't have a strict dress code. If we were gon na go somewhere for the night or we were going to go on vacation. I would research all these places that didn't have these strict dress codes so that i could recommend hey. Let'S go here, let's go there and i knew i wouldn't have an issue because i think the worst thing possible is when you and your friends are all in line and then you go in there they're just like you got ta, take your hat off and it's Just like no, not the hat yeah, not my safeguard, maybe i lied. Maybe that wasn't the hardest part all right here. We go these things, ain't, even a thought in your mind. Before the you know, the hair loss, and now you realize you got ta kind of like make adjustments with your life and what i failed to notice back then, was how much it was also affecting the people around me. They have to make the adjustments because of this, this is crazy. I can't do this anymore. The pressure of just having to think of you know like what am i going to do? What am i going to wear? How can i hide it this time? Do i wear a hat? Do i find, like you know one of those fedora hats or like a dress, hat type of thing or anything behind hats? I didn't realize i had as much gray hair i'm putting way too much energy into this and putting way too much time before all of this it was. It was never a thought. It'S just built so much of a pressure on myself yeah. I just i think it's it's definitely time to just relieve myself from all that. Don'T look horrible one more shot for the road huh doing it. Confidence to ball cafe. Thank you. Thank you, man, good to talk to you. I know when i first initially cut it. I don't even remember what guard it was, but slowly but surely it just started going shorter and shorter the day after i did it. I went straight to clothes shopping because i started getting ready for the wedding and being stuck in my normal routine. I was like looking for my hat and i was like you know. Looking for my beanie and i was like we're leaving at home today left at home and and i just went out there - it was super cold. Then it started raining, but it was kind of cool to get all the elements in one day and you know just to really be out there and it's funny how we have this idea that when we step out there that everyone's just gon na be staring at Us, like, oh my god, look at the the bald guy. Nobody knows who we are. Nobody knows i had long hair down. You know down in my chest like the day before. Nobody knows that yeah nobody's that concerned of what you look like there. Everybody was surprised. I kind of mentioned it to a few people. You know just the situation that was going on with my hair, with the thinness in the back and yeah. You know, like the reason why i was doing all that, so i think to see me go in there with a smile, and you know no hat, not hiding anything like. It was almost like surreal, like just to kind of see everybody's uh reaction to it, but i don't think it was necessarily like trying or hoping necessarily for everybody's approval. I think it was more of like i conquered this yeah and i'm here to just showcase that hey like i got over this hump and and here it is nobody said they didn't like it, but i'm pretty sure if somebody said they didn't like it. I don't think it would have faced me at all. No, you know i like it, but it was just obviously it's definitely a bonus when everybody's really receptive to it. First day i went to go to the bathroom today i was like. Oh, i got ta go, get the blow dryer where's, you know my bandana where's, my hat and i was just downstairs like okay. I don't got ta do that. So i was like what else do i got i feel like i'm. It'S like it was almost like. The routine was just so normal for so long as i was like. Okay keys phone wallets, i'm missing something, and then i just like really think i was like. That'S it huh. I was like wow. This is. This is nice i kind of just saved, like you know, a good chunk of time, and so now i'm just like ready before everybody else. My my girlfriend actually told me she was like. I just saw it in your face. I saw it in your eyes that you know just instantly like something was like lifted like you, just felt it as soon as you cut your hair awesome, and i was like really. I was like i can't describe to say specifically, i felt it but like definitely like i said the days after i definitely felt it. My co-worker at work, she's told me that i didn't like she was like. You carry yourself differently and i was like. I don't feel like i do and she was like no like visually, like you carry yourself differently now i've been ready for a long time. I was definitely one of those guys that was saying. Oh, i'm gon na cut it this year or i'm gon na cut it. Let'S do it for my birthday or you know like i was trying to make it a thing and the the longer and longer i capacity of doing it. It just got to a point where, like like, i said it's probably been. I don't know like six years, maybe somewhere around that range and every so often i've, i've gotten enough guts to. I was like okay yeah, i'm gon na. Do it, like you, know, watching these these videos and getting inspired by everybody and seeing how how well they look and how well they feel, and you know how happy they are with their decision. I was just like you know what i need to. I need to just just contact them yeah. I did it's so insane to see like how how well i you know like i, i i felt afterwards and how confident i was, and just to kind of reflect back on all the times where i was nervous or just not looking forward to to certain certain Events certain you know just like whatever um, like we mentioned with the clubs, and you know and stuff like that, and one of the other big things was like the interviews and yeah and like next week, i'm being sent to uh out of state for for training. For work, yeah and the airports, you know just all that, and now it's just not it's just gon na, be out of mind. I'M not even gon na think twice about it, like i said, just kind of reflecting back it's just like. Oh, it sucks that i wasted all that time being insecure or just not happy with myself or you know, and it was just more internal than anything. I really didn't express that like outwards or towards anybody, but i feel like now now that the time has passed. It is what it is make the best of what you got now and just just go for it, and one interesting thing that when i had the conversation with my girlfriend, i was telling her like even until even right now, i still don't know exactly. I cannot pinpoint what it was that was that was that wall that barrier that just took so long to cross. I can't i can't pinpoint it you know. As far as i try to remember or try to think of like what exactly it was. That would just prohibit me from crossing that line. I i don't know, and she she said to me. Sometimes you don't need to know what the reason was, but as long as you take that step forward to cross that you know that that wall and you cross and you feel good you're like maybe that's just all you needed to do. That'S all you need to know, you don't need to know what the reason was you're past it don't reflect back on it and i haven't, and it's like i said it's just been cool like we love trying to like look forward to other trips, and now it's Just like, oh maybe we'll go parasailing or maybe we'll go like skydiving and i have to worry about like oh can i wear my hat or, like you know, just weird stuff that you used to like? Oh no like they don't. Let me wear hats. I can't get in there because i can't wear a hat now. All that's just it just feels like the opportunities are endless now and, like i said as much as i felt like i wasted time now. I just want to take advantage of everything. While i still can one thing, i was going to say too always notice that you know as good as everybody looked i'm like okay, but they show their their spot in the back. What'S it look like now, and nobody ever really had pictures, so i'm sending you pictures of what it looks like from behind at different angles: okay, awesome and you'll be able to see you'll be able to definitely see like the before yeah and the after, and i Was really shocked that it didn't look bad. Thank you so much wish you all the best, and i appreciate it. Thank you for all the help and and your page and all the inspiration that everybody really did bring my pleasure man, my my absolute pleasure

Explosev: He looks 10x more confident, super happy for him

Daniel posh: You we’re holding your ultimate glow up for so long! You look great’

sdwf: Started noticing my hair loss at 21 years old, I am 24 now. Like many others, this channel has helped me so much and I can happily say I took the plunge a few weeks ago. My only regret is that I didn't shave it sooner. Harry, thank you so much for everything. You truly are changing lives with this channel and thank you to the gentleman who have been part of these videos as well! If anyone is struggling and wants to talk, please feel free to get in touch!

Baixiulan: i am a women with androgenic alopicia and your videos give me confidence to keep my head shaved.

Kyne: This guy absolutely kills this look, much love gentlemen, I’m contemplating it myself at 24. I’m scared but I hope I can build the courage to buzz it one day.

Juan: I couldn’t be happier with how this video came out. Watching this I recall exactly how I felt in the moment I held my ponytail in front of me. One thing that was in the conversation that didn’t come out in the video is that the discovery of my hair loss came in a time where I was extremely stressed in life (surprise surprise) with so much going on and this was the last straw that triggered me into depression. I dealt with that for 2-3 months and learned ways to manage and deal with certain thoughts in various situations to better my mental health. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 and as great as I felt the moment I cut all my hair off, I know it would have helped me tremendously back then to overcome that insecurity head on. That situation was about 7 years ago and only a handful of people know I went through that. I hope I can at least give 1 person the confidence to know you can get passed that rock bottom feeling in life and know things are going to be fine. I can’t thank you enough Harry, for sharing your journey and providing a platform to help so many. And a SPECIAL thank you to all the men who were brave enough to talk about their experiences and share the moment to the masses… It helped me and I know it’s helped others, I hope I can do the same. Let’s keep passing along the confidence!! Cheers

TonydlP650: Thanks to your channel I just did this. Sadly I couldn't record it but I'm loving my new look. It literally took me months of watching videos to build up the courage

ambtax1: The relief of shaving your head! Remember this moment clearly. I can't pretend I wouldn't prefer a full head of hair but this dude represents that moment of stopping thinking about it and moving on. Looks great!

Tom M: No cap, you suit it brother! The energy in how you explained your story is awesome. Thanks for sharing, good shape head and goes with the beard.

Ghaith: I checked your page before deciding to go bald , and then I decided to shave my own head by myself , it's almost one year and I've never felt so conferenced about my look , I learned how to use the safety razor and shaving my head has been the most enjoyable part of every week

Siguram Rohith: I'm doing it today. 26.06.2022 thank you fellow Kings for the courage, would have never done this without u all guys. Much love.

UltimateKyuubiFox: He looks fantastic. So good it feels like an active choice to have it short rather than ‘necessity’. I notice that often on this channel.

Jason: Making this decision alone is doable, but can be difficult for some. But when you have a support system of friends and a good woman, it just feels so great.

CHRISTIAN FURLONG: Just like to say a big thank you for giving me the confidence to do the hair shave feel absolutely liberated there is so much pressure on guys like us to keep our hair, but now if I could grow hair I don’t think I will especially when the mullet is coming back in fashion keep up the good work fella looking good

Olly Sombrero: He hit the nail on the head when he mentioned the routine. So much time and energy is wasted on a day to day basis unless you shave it off. You don't realize it until it's gone for good.

Jaime Quintana: I want to thank you so much Bald Cafe, I have been following your videos for the past 3 years, and slowly but surely I have been bulding the Courage to embrace my baldness and finally do the final step of buzzing my hair off, which I did just two days ago.. and man I can't describe how liberating it is to not worry about if my hair looks good or not anymore.. even though a lot of people would say that I could have kept my hair for 1-2 more years, having to constantly worry if it looks crappy or not, ruins it. Kudos to you and everyone on this channel for bringing up upfront a very sensitive topic among men. Thanks for doing this.

James Steven: Welcome to the club my man! Bald cafe is more than shaving heads. Can't wait for the next video and to see who you have helped next.

Star Wars Fury: Awesome! Well done harry you are a great listener and an inspiration for all of us and you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished with this channel and the people you’ve helped! Well Done my friend!

varun009: My brother shaved his head for the first time when the front was thinning about a year ago. No tears, no regrets, little money spent on shampoo and suddenly the heat is more tolerable. I truly admire him for that. But for context, he's never had a friend, let alone a girlfriend. His looks have been ridiculed to his face to the extent of being disparagingly compared to mine presumably to cause tension at home because we look very similar and I'm not exactly anything to look at. Life can be cruel and though he hasn't taken all of it well, it has immunized him to other feelings we get. Not a great tradeoff, just pointing it out.

L J: Hair or no hair you shouldn't let it stop you from living the life you deserve there's people out there going through chemotherapy god bless them. and they still rocked it looking amazing with no hair that's how strong they are❤

Neily b: It allways amazes me the difference how these guys hold them self once they’ve accepted the fact there going bald nobody really cares if your bald other than you but it’s sometimes hard to be comfortable in your own skin but any body who can sit for that sleeve can take a bit of pain and adapt to change

Brandon Hunter: Basically looks like full head of hair when he shaves it. He looks awesome

YoTurnUpTheVolume100: Did the buzz cut yesterday... trying to get a certain haircut and trying to disguise the balding patch and finally cutting it all off the relief is real big weight lifted feels awesome !

Nitin A: With the kind of long hair you had that could hide the bald patches and deciding to to clip it off completely is commendable. You look amazing. This is just great brother have wonderful life with that wonderful new look.

Matt Maverick: This dude is a good looking guy, he looked good with long or short hair! If I were him I'd get SMP done and blend it in with the hair he has and keep it short. He still has enough hair on top for that to work and no one would ever notice once it were done- they'd just think he keeps his hair cut shorter now. Has a bit of a Roman Reigns look to him

Cdf1964: Whoa...he looks great and even younger without all that hair! I remember taking that big step 38 yrs. ago, and have never looked back!

J h: Dude looks great! He has a good beard and nice smile which helps too

Feed Me To My Enemies: Welcome brother! I can tell you have a heart of gold. I felt exactly how you felt. It's so freeing once it's gone.

Gillian Hart: Each story I am both surprised and delighted seeing these beautiful men blossom before my eyes. How wonderful. Thank you for this very impactful content, and thank you to the men who share their experiences. Wow.

sideshowtink: This was awesome! I love that you needed alcohol for the courage! LOL I have been trying to get my brother to do this for YEARS! OH yes! Looks GREAT!

Marv W: Shave it guys, clean it up. I was trying to hide it for 6 years until I had the courage to shave it all. I'm 40 now. Never feel better. You're going to have friends and family making fun of you at first. It's all good. They'll get over it.

Caleb Crockett: I always had longer hair, sometimes shoulder length. I noticed my hairline receding when I was 16, and thinning on top when I was 20. I was able to style it pretty normally until I was about 24. I cut it short and eventually ended up buzzing it all the way down when I was 25 to see how it felt. I was okay with it but it definitely aged me 10 years, so I grew it back out (short to medium ish) and used makeup and topik until 10 actual years went by. Late last year I noticed that my forlock had thinned to the point that my "tricks" no longer worked anymore. Instead of just looking thin 20% of the time, it was looking thin about 80% of the time. I still haven't ruled out a transplant completely, but for now I'm rocking a buzzcut with some facial hair and now that I'm actually 35 it seems to work.

Cryfield: Dude I literally said out loud "Sh** he looks good" when he cut his hair. Looks badass.

Emile Lane: It was in the back of my mind for years, watching your channel has built the courage to just shave it. Feels amazing also way more female attention.

canadien superman: I am 50 and did battle hair loss with limited success from 25 to around 41. I used fina and dut with terrible side effects, yes i had a full head of thick hair but weighted 30 pounds heavier due to water and fat retention. Low libido etc. Minox will have very limited effects too, now i accept the fact that thinning is a normal part of life and aging man. I sometimes buzz my hair try to keep fit, and sometimes i let it grow, i do get people who laugh at me but i laugh right back because they are obese and look like shit. Bottom line you have one life to live look like you want too be yourself and don't care what others think.

thomas huey: Looks great man, crack on with life.

George McCormick: Thanks for sharing your experience, Juan... You look fantastic with the bald doo, Bro !!! Awesome video

Dale Nixon: I finally gave in and shaved my head. It was a shock, and looking back at pictures of me from only a week before I realise how good my comb over was. I can't say I feel like a weight has been lifted, I feel mostly regret. I'm leaving my hair to grow out, to see at what stage I either like it or feel the need to shave it. In hindsight I shouldn't have gone for it, i should have kept what I had. Anyone else feel regret? Did it go away?

Matheus Paltian: Man, i happy for him! That takes times! self acceptance is every thing! Man, We usally have this ideia How we would like to look. But, for all of you who have the same ideia, u can look great without being this, you can be another version of yourself! And perhabs It Will be better.

Great White: My hair is quickly going now and I get so paranoid with it. I use the hair fibres to hide it, but after going swimming with the family (in laws) and being accidently soaked from above, it just looked terrible and I was stuck in a situation where everyone could see. It was embarrassing and my confidence gone. I think I am more to shave it off (won't suit me as my head shape, build) but my issue is the look I get from loved ones when I say I need to shave it off. They say the words ok I get it. But you can see wouldn't like you doing it. Prefer this fake look you have now. Knowing to shave it off, they will dislike your appearance more. It's tough. But this videos does help and I think the shaved hair suits you much more.

Tony M: I just did the same thing, about a week ago. I'd had long hair for 26 years and it has taken me a long while to get used to the idea of shaving it and to work up the courage. But it was way too thin, receded. I'd rather look confident than deluded, so it was time. Clippers followed by a bald head shaver. I'm liking it so far. So much quicker to shower, I enjoy gym sessions better, it's nicer in hot weather, and saving a fortune on shampoo. I'm not used to the look yet, but I'm sure it's fine. Just working on the tan now. You look awesome with it shaved! I'm sure most of us do, even if we don't think we will. ☺️

LukeLuthor: Wonderful story! That big step is always the hardest but it makes up for it. :) Now when are you going clean shaven again Harry?

Igor I: Looks good, man! It looks good. If I see you on the streets I will never think something like: he is bald.. I rather will think something like he is bold)

Andreas: Oh wow he looks so much better now. Congrats!

Andy: Bro you look good man congrats to your new confidence!

The Truth: "Denial" is the reason why he couldn't figure out why he couldn't cross the line. It's one of the phases in dealing with any type of big loss.

Teresa Collins: You look great dude! Enjoy your life.

Jenita Smith: What a great transformation!! U seem more confident and comfortable.

maaz322: he had two different drinks in this video, no wonder. Drinking and poor diet greatly expedites the balding process. Of course it's genetic, but across the board, even countries who used to have less balding like Japan are now seeing balding occur earlier due to more unhealthy, westernized diets.

Danny Dawson happy chappy ☺️: Pal I went bald in my 20s and I never ever let it bother me I shaved it got the razor on it whatever and it’s never held me back in life ! It’s not for everyone I know that it’s a vanity thing when u get past that you’ll be a happier man obviously you have long hair and that’s how people recognise you however it literally just a matter of time your a young man all your life in front of you people are dying of cancer and we are worried about our appearance ffs

Brandon Ruiz: I’m 25 now & If I had a beard like either of these dudes I honestly wouldn’t mind shaving my head. I’m balding & I know at some point I’m going to need to shave my head I just hope my beard looks fuller by then.

Michal Kostelanský: gonna shave my head on 4.7 after pondering it for bout a year, its gonna be weird to see my head shape after like 25 years, the pressure / nervousness of not knowing how my friends / family will react is mind blowing

Jessica Gomez: He looks so good ✨

Mein Kanal: Holy smokes. This dude looks fine as hell!!

SlaM: Btw bro looks a thousand times better bald than the hair he had on his head. He actually looks more healthier in a way. Lol I thought I was going to go bald quick but I still have that same hair line from when I was in HS I’m really surprised it’s not gone but then again you can start losing hair at my age real quick I am 31 btw

kantxcape: He looks really good with the shaved head.

Road to Barber: Suits amazing on you!

RHCPsTv: This dude was combing his hair over his bald spot, putting a bandana on top and a beanie over that just so he doesn't look bald in front of strangers. And then, when he shaved his head he said he doesn't care if somebody doesn't like it. I'm glad he finally did it.

Rizzle Dizzle: thanks for sharing!! looking great!

Mikolaj F.: Almost every guest mentions expensive treatments. Generic fin is super cheap. Except fin and maybe minox (as a short term solution) everything else is more or less a scam.

Thrasher1293: Good for you man. Ive got the same issue going from the crown but i cant grow a good beard like this dude and have a wierd shaped head so am hesistant

Arvin: bro looks dope with shaved head. Suits him really well!

LigTngCube7: TBH, his hair didn't look that bad in a ponytail, bit of a receding hairline, but not that bad.

Al De: Same video same old story same outcome . Love it.

L A: He looks really sharp! Proper suits him

senseixmartin: Dude went from Russel to Kratos

Chris Wellz: It's crazy, with the hair and all that balding and thinning of the crown and recession on the forehead, he had a very hobo like look to him. Cuts it off and it immediately turned him to a very dapper looking dude. I told myself the day this happens to my hair, I will do the same thing and I'm already seeing signs of it on my hairline. Soon as I start balding at the crown or the hairline gets too out of control, I'm cutting it. Way to go man!

Tank: I want to go bald eventhough I still have a pretty decent head of hair but I am losing it for sure and in the righ light you can see my scalp but like a said its very decent. Still going bald appeals to me

John: That’s your style even if you had the thickest hair in the world. Looks great.

Mister Sarajevo: Yeah, there's no way this dude is going to struggle w/ the ladies.

Mario Pulido: He looks fantastic

Max Life 720: i love this!!

Michael Byers: Great teeth, headshape and the potential for a sweet beard. FTW rock that bro

Alex Shorthouse: Dude rocks the bald look!

jonty3000: Most of these blokes have killer beards tho.

CamsCredo: Damn bro, I really don’t wanna be bald I’m not going down without a fight, that’s for sure.

YO: GREAT INTERVIEW HARRY!!!CONGRATS!!!

TJ M: Bro actually looks a lot better, doesn't happen too often someone shaved the head and they look better.

lapinuss s: Aw that's sad. You had pretty sick curls, reminds me of the drummer Nick Menza a bit. I'm a guy with long hair and I really hope I won't experience male pattern baldness when I'm an adult... still, looking pretty sleek with no hair and a beard!

MrMustard2U: Stop lying to yourself Bro, you know you miss the long hair...

Anthea Krieger: Looking good sir!!

Wonderboi: He looks amazing after the buzz cut

FakeName39: 100% asmongold is gonna see this video. Shave it dood.

Piery83: You look much clearer and fresh with this haircut

Jimmy Dork: Holy. He looks awesome

Zabu T: He looks great! Younger.

Neil Rhodes: You look great. Fantastic choice

SOULcial Life: He looks amazing.

Colin garner: Once you eventually shave your head you realise it’s all benefits and nothing negative to feel . It’s liberating.

ya Boy Jonez: You look great unfortunately I wouldn't

James: Way to go!

Æthelthryth Quezada: I wish my legs would go bald! I am tired of having to shave.

Tonny Mendez: He looks WAY better, great decision.

Local Gunsmith: looks so much better. good job

Sharath Prabhakar: Dude went from metal monk to rapper!

MotoGoon: definitely easier when you have a bad ass beard.

Krogzax Ants: Damn dude looks like 10 year younger now.

The C Spot : 18 inches of hair. I just cut it all off cause I joined the army. For weeks after I felt like shit. But I look back at my pictures and I'm so much more grown confident now.

john m: Dude looks great

human: I was hottest kid with sexiest hair till college....but after going through some major mid life health issues and depression i lost all my hairs and caught man pattern baldness...... everybody told me to do this do that....i just took my trimmer and shaved my head and bulked up a biy of muscle mass....now i am hottest adult with sexy bald and people take me more seriously now
