Hairstyle For Short Dreadlocks

But now, let's get back into the video, so guys let's go ahead and take a look at what my hair is looking like right now, so right off the bat like i said, i feel like i've hit a growth spurt of hair. Obviously, my hair isn't like growing faster. It just appears like it's even longer. I want to show you guys two pictures, one that is taken at the end of last month and one photo that was taken today, so these two photos are exactly a month apart, and you can just tell the major difference that happened this month, i'm just coming With maturity and just sticking with doing the retwist process, it's really cool just to see all of it come together. One thing that i am noticing is obviously the hair on the top of the head is taking a little bit longer to lock up, but with that being said, it is actually locking up. So it just takes a little bit time. I'M noticing that the hair is actually appearing more curly and which is a good sign, because if it's hardening as it's curling, then that's a good thing, because it's just a sign of it actually maturing. And that just goes to show that your sections are in good shape, because your hair only wants to combine and curl up together with hair that it really wants to it. Really, your hair will tend to want to do what it wants to do. So with that being said, constantly retwisting your hair in those sections teaches your hair to stay in that form, and then it learns how to stay there. So it just goes to show that my hair is actually learning to stay where it's supposed to or where i want it to, and obviously the hair on the back of the head is really maturing really quick compared to the rest of the head. Like say all the time just because when i lay down when i go to sleep, the hair on the sides and the hair on the back of the head mature, a lot quicker because there's constant friction and traction in those areas compared to the top of my Head now, i obviously do try to wear a hat as much as possible, um like when i'm doing outside work or anything like that, not only to protect from you know, dust and everything getting into my hair, because i do you know, woodworking or like when i Clean up my property, i like to wear a hat so that i don't get anything into it, because it can be pretty tough to get things out of your hair like dust and debris, especially during the beginning stages. But what hat does as well? Along with the beanie, it helps bring traction to the top of your head because that typically doesn't get messed with now. The top of my head is more frizzy than the rest of the hair, because it is the top that just comes with its territory. So i constantly find myself having to retwist the top more than the sides, and i mean like a dryer twist, just kind of finger coiling it so that it goes back into where it's supposed to and that's just the process that i've been doing is constantly retwisting. So, overall, i really been enjoying the experience and i'm really experiencing the benefits of all the hard work i put in now, and i think from here on out. It'S just gon na be a snowball effect of everything happening rapidly and we're gon na see a lot of growth. A lot of maturity in these next couple months, especially this month. Right now, we're gon na see a lot of tightening and what better way to start it out than with a hairstyle and my hair is about. I don't know how long that is. It'S almost to my nose. I'Ve actually been doing my dreadlocks since i grew my hair out for five months and then i started dreadlocks, so i'm heading into my eighth month of actual hair growth. So with me starting my dreadlocks out at five months. That means i started my dreadlocks at the end of four months so getting into the fifth month. So i've been having my dreadlocks for about four months. It seems like it's been longer, but it actually hasn't, which is crazy, but yeah. I have been growing my hair out for eight months or just about eight months, i'm going into my eighth month, but i did start my dreadlocks four months ago, four months of hair growth inside the dreadlocks. But let's get on to the part that you all have been waiting for the hairstyle all right, so i just finished eating lunch and i was talking my wife and i want her to actually braid my hair. Now guys don't mind, i am going to be making a video of me actually doing my own hair, but i do need a retwist, as you guys can tell very frizzy, like i mentioned earlier on, to where the top my head is very frizzy, and i asked Her hey: do you think he can braid my hair at my hair length and today's the day we're going to be braiding, my hair, and by we i mean her on most of this channel. I really want to do things to wear. Do it yourself? So you guys see me do it so that you're not afraid to actually do it yourself. But i do want to see how it's actually going to look, because i have a full set of dreads versus having a high top set of dreads on the first set of locks that i had. The hairstyles are different. So it's going to be interesting to see how we pull this all together, especially with the braids and it's going to be really nice. Just because it's going to hold in that retwist very well, and i'm excited that i'm at this hair length - and i hope it turns out well so that we can just continue to do the braids after the retwist, because it just holds everything in a whole. Lot. Better, i'm not sure how it's going to turn out. It'S going to be interesting. I haven't had a full set of braids in a long time. Probably since i was maybe 16 17, i don't know, i think yeah. I was 17 when i had a set of braids, so that's interesting. It'S gon na be interesting but, like i said i am gon na. Do a video of me doing my own hair, because this channel is mostly for do it yourself, but in today's video we're switching it up, and i do like to have candace to my hair as well. Just because you guys have seen her do my hair before and she does a great job so without further ado, let's get started all right straight out of the shower and my hair is really wet and it looks pretty puffy, but i'm gon na show you guys The products we're going to be using before we get into it first things: first, we're using the moca gorilla, the rocaro it's in the red and just like i always mentioned. I want to show you guys as well that this has a nine hold, not a tin. I believe the yellow bottle, or whatever color they have, is a tin. It doesn't flake works out great we're also going to be using awa in american. It is water using a lice comb just to get better sections. I really like this slice comb, although we just use it for combing and then last but not least, we're using the clips, and then we also will be using rubber bands to tie it off at the end. So all right guys finished everything up. I actually shaved. My chin, i've been shaving, it lately, just leaving my mustache trying something new which i've actually done before put an aftershave because yo, if you don't do this you're gon na be hurting later, i did. The lineup and enhancements looks really good i'll. Show you guys right now, all right, y'all figured i'd end the video outside since i started outside. Actually i didn't start inside anyway, everything's looking good after the enhancements, you guys see. What'S going on boom, take a look. Take a look. Don'T just take a look. Take a look pretty stoked, i'm actually going to keep these in for quite a while. I want to keep them in for as long as i really can and the reason being, not only because i like the hairstyle and it looks really good, i feel like i did really good on the lineup. Let me know how i do on the line. I feel like maybe this side or the other side is probably too high, which i can always fix, because i have room to play with that's a good thing about like having that tapered hairline, although i don't i'm just using like i fake a tapered hairline by Growing out that hair in the front, it's like the baby hairs and then just lining those up. I don't know if i'm going to do a tapered hairline, if i do is, can be very small. Most likely won't probably just stick to doing what i'm doing now and then adding enhancements in the spot to where, like the hair, just don't grow or doing whatever is necessary. Really but like i said, i'm keeping it in because one i like the hairstyle, take a look and two. I want to keep these in so that the obviously the locking gel cures and, at the same time, the longer i keep them in the longer they'll want to stay in that formation. And then the cool thing is is when i do a braid out. It'S going to be curly, which i'm not sure if i'm stoked on, especially because my hair is really short, so it's going to make my hair even up here, even shorter, because it will be curly. So what i'll end up doing at that point is when i actually hey, i'm not exactly sure what happened to that clip right there. It ended up cutting off, and i just noticed right now so uh. This is actually how many days afterward. Quite a few i mean it was thursday when i did it today is tuesday, so almost a week so two days away from a week of the hairstyle. Obviously the enhancements are kind of wearing off. I'M gon na add some more in today and uh, i'm most likely going to be taking my braids out tomorrow and then redoing them or doing a barrel twist or barrel roll or basket weave, whatever you're going to call it so uh stay tuned.
