Hi everyone jessica here from paper ink stamp and welcome back to my channel, so today's video is going to be one of the first videos. Looking at one of the sets of free gifts, i got from winning the card maker of the year competition. So this bundle here has come from creative expressions and we've got some dies in here. We'Ve got some stamps and then we've got some really cool other kind of projects that i'm really excited to actually use. So let me walk you through what actually came in this bundle. So to begin with, we have got some foam applicators as there's a pack of six perfect for using with gildan flakes. Then we have got the cosmic shimmer, flake and glitter glue. I have actually used this once on something i can't remember what it was. It was something quite small and i thought generally, it wasn't a bad glue for you know the one time that i actually used it. So these two products perfect for using with gildan flakes, so i may as well show you these three products next, so we've got three of these. These are called cosmic shimmer aurora flakes, so these are gilding flakes here, but, unlike any that, i've actually seen before these are so incredibly beautiful. So if we just turn this one over, this is called ice lagoon and i really hope that you can kind of see all of those uh colors in there. So we've got kind of blues greens and silvers. I haven't actually had the guts to open one of these up yet just in case it all came flying out, but i'm really excited to kind of see exactly how we can um actually use these gildan flakes. Then the next color we have got is amber glow. This has got pinks oranges and a little bit of red in there as well so glittery, again and really really beautiful. Then the last one we've got. This is called passion pop, and this is red, purple and blue. So super super beautiful again. I'M really excited to see what we're going to be able to create with these golden flakes the next few items that we've got something that i was quite excited about. So these are the cosmic shimmer pixie powder. Now you guys know that i love my nouveau shimmer powder. As far as i'm aware, these are basically the same kind of thing. Um we've got five different colors here, i'm actually going to be using these in today's video. So i'm excited to kind of really see what these actually look like. The first one we've got is peacock green, so i'm guessing these are going to be kind of teals and turquoise and hopefully really really beautiful. Then we've got purple violet. Next up we have got a pewter, then we've got lava red and you can see kind of the color through that bottle in there. So that looks like it's going to be a really lovely, hopefully vibrant red. Then we've got bronze blush in there as well and from the label that looks like it's got the bronze and maybe even just like a little bit of a mint color in there. But i'm not sure if that's just the label or not but like i said we're going to use those in today's video. So i'm super excited to see how those come out, and now i want to show you the stamps and dies that we got so the first uh stamps that we got this is by woodware. So this is part of creative expressions. So here this set is called a posted postage stamp background, so this is a really beautiful sized stamp set. So the next stops that we've got. This is called a fly-in key, so i did actually end up with two of these, so these two, i think, are super beautiful. I'M really excited to use these this one's called wild garden, and then this one this is queen anne's lace, so they are the woodware stamps. So then we're going to move on to the creative expression die. So we've got a couple here um. So we've got a few from this all-in-one collection, so this is two dies. You have a framed eye and then you have kind of your um sort of a focal die here. So this is really just a card front in itself. So you know you don't need to do too much to a card if you're going to use a die like this. If i just turn it over, so you can see it, it's really really big. You know that is the size of my hand, and so it's a beautiful big, die um, and the plan for today's cards is to create a background using these pixie powders and then to die, cut and pop one of these on the top. So i'm hoping it's going to look lovely, so this is wishing you brighter days, so it does say that on the die itself and then it's surrounded by some solid flowers, um and then you've got sort of these cutouts. So you could also do a little bit of paper piecing for these as well. The other thing i'm seeing is they do have a youtube channel, so you can go and check that out, and it also says please see inside for card projects. So when we get these out, we'll definitely have a look at how they have used their dies, but yeah we've got this one wishing you brighter days. The rest of these are rectangular, so this is every day is a new adventure. Then we've got the more candles. The bigger the wish and the last one for the all-in-one collection, this is called you're, never more than a thought away. Then the next one this is a paper cuts craft dies. So this is their paper cuts collection. This is the the badger and the butterfly. So there's four dies in here: that's going to lay it up, so you've got your badger here in the center. You'Ve got your butterfly just off to one side, then the last eye we've got actually this one's pretty cute, because this is a roll again part of that paper. Cuts range. This is cock-a-doodle-doo again. The same thing four dies in here. You'Ve got that outer piece. You'Ve. Then uh got your more sort of solid frame piece you've got inside, which is going to create your little bit of scenery and then you've got your kind of cockroach and your kind of inside scenery. So i'm super excited to use all of these creative expressions. Products. Um again a fantastic bundle when this came through the post, i was really kind of taken aback by what was included in this bundle. Um and yeah. I'M really hoping that we can create some really great projects but, as i said for today's video we're going to be taking um all four of these uh all-in-one um collection die, so i'm going to be creating four cards um and then we're going to be using Four out of our five pixie powders as well, because i think these are just going to go together really beautifully. So, let's get into creating today's cards. So the first thing we're going to do is create our backgrounds using our pixie powder um. I'Ve got two sheets of this a6 watercolor card last um and these do actually fit perfectly um for our dies, but i'm just going to use up the last of that pad there i'm going to bring in uh just this craft mat here - and this is hopefully Just going to stop us making sort of too much of a mess on my new cutting mat, so let's begin with our bronze blush. So again, i'm only the assumption that these are going to work the same as these, my shimmer powders um. So i'm just gon na tap some of that powder, so i'm literally just sort of tapping the back of that just like so i'm gon na grab my pokey tool just so i can hold it in place and i've got my ranger mister as well. So now we're just going to spray directly onto it, so i've got some colors just kind of there, which i want to kind of break up a little bit. So we've got some super interesting colors in here, blondes uh blush, not kind of what i was expecting to have those kind of blues and there's bits of pinks in there as well. Of course, then we've got those bronzes. We'Ve got those sort of browns and things so interesting combination, again kind of not what i was expecting it to be, i'm just going to add a little bit more, so i'm just taking the lid off. So there are two ways that you can apply powders like this. You can either add the water first um and then do your powders on top, or you can add your powders first and then spritz on top. So i've just done it both ways. Um, it's really just kind of what you want um, it's just really what works best for you, so i'm gon na kind of just maybe try to move that color around a tad and then i'm just gon na blast this with my heat gun. So i'm just going to clean off my mat and i think i'm actually going to try and add just a little bit more color over this, but you can really see where that blush is coming into it. So again, a really sort of surprising mix of colors, and i want to try and get some more in the areas that i didn't the first time just because i know that my die isn't sort of too different in size. It'S slightly smaller. But again i just want to add as much interest as possible, so let's just kind of spritz that about to move it. But the one thing i will say is the shimmer on this is crazy. Um, i'm not sure if i can get the other ego. So you can kind of see that's almost like a kind of emerald color like a green color, maybe not as dark as emerald, but it's so beautiful. So you've got all of that, really fantastic color and shimmer in there. So i'm going to leave that just to settle now and just dry on its own whilst we start on our next background. So let's start on our next background. So i'm really excited to see what this pewter looks like in my head. This is gon na be kind of like grays and blacks and things um, but we've got sort of mainly silver coming out of there at the moment, um, but anything can happen. So, let's sprinkle that i'm gon na leave the lid off that for the moment, just in case we want uh any more: let's grab our water, okay, so we've got kind of blues and more kind of navies in this. So this seems more kind of one color um, but that is really really beautiful, real a lot of shimmer going on in there um. Let'S just kind of move this around a little bit. This would be really beautiful if you could get this to kind of. Have a marble effect um. I think that would suit this really really lovely okay. So now we kind of just have a base of like one color got a few watermarks in there, which i do really love. But before i actually attempt at adding more powder to the top of this, i'm gon na see what we can get from what we've actually got here on our messy mat and just do a little bit of um kind of ink smooshing here um, because this is All good color to use you don't really want to waste this okay. So for this one again, you can see that i added that extra layer in there, so we've got those watermarks a little bit more pronounced now than what we did the first time around. Okay, so now we're actually moving on to my better quality watercolor cardstock. This is smooth, so i'm expecting this to have a different finish from what the other two did. So the next color we're gon na go for this is purple violet. So i've been quite surprised by the fierce two um in terms of what colors i thought was gon na be kind of included. So i'm not going to suggest anything this time um, because i feel like i'm just going to be wrong. But again it always surprises me. You don't need too much of this and then so this is camera. You can barely see it, but it's basically silver um. So who even knows what this is gon na turn into? So, let's give it a spritz and see what colors emerge. Okay, so we've pretty much just got some super vibrant purples um, as the name suggests paper, violet, okay, not sort of too surprised with this, but, like i said pewter, i didn't think that was gon na. Be kind of that purple shade so pretty much the same, so it looks like we've only got kind of that uh one color in there so super interesting. When i went back in and just added what was already on my mat. It'S kind of taken on that sort of pink purple type of look and we've got this really beautiful kind of watermarks in there this would be beautiful for anything sort of unicorn related. I think it's really got that kind of vibe about it and again, just with that super beautiful shimmer in there. So let's do our last background. Let'S just lift this up and let's do our lava red. So, let's see just how red this actually is. Okay, so, let's add our water so really kind of cherry red in real life. It'S sort of that pinky red. But again i'm wondering whether you can just kind of build that up. This could be super beautiful at christmas um, let's just dry this off with the heat gun, as we have with the others, and really kind of build up those layers. Okay, so here we have our four backgrounds, so i'm actually really surprised with how these have come out. Obviously you know until you kind of use in that first time you really really don't know. What'S going to happen um they are super beautiful this one. I am feeling now is more that pewter, it is more gray, but when i first kind of got it out, it looked very purpley, um, so yeah, that's kind of i feel differently about it. Now i've kind of let it sit and dry again, i'm seeing that kind of pewter to it red lava um, i wouldn't say, is kind of a deep red in my head. I thought it was going to be a little bit deeper. It'S kind of a bit cherry to me, um, but still really beautiful this one, the bronze blush. I like these ones that have a combination of lots of different colors. That'S why i like my meteorite shower in the nouveau shimmer powder range, because there's so many colors in there um and actually that bronze one as well. That'S what golden one is beautiful, but yeah. I quite like this one. It'S probably one of my more favorites because it does have that beautiful blend of lots of different colors, and then we do kind of have our purple violet our pink purple down here. Um again, these ones have kind of built up really nicely. Instead of kind of inks mushing, you are kind of pixie powder smooshing, i guess and again it's created some really beautiful backgrounds um, but now we're going to use these and we're going to use our dies to create some cards. So what i'm going to do is a combination of use these as actual backgrounds and i'm going to die cut from solid cardstock, but i also want to have a go at doing it. The other way around, so i'm actually using these as my kind of layer and that's going to sit on top, so the first one i'm going to take is you're, never more than a thought away, and i actually thought this would be quite nice. On this pewter background, so i'm just going to kind of position this you know, roughly in the middle i'm going to grab some washi tape just to kind of hold our die in place. Let'S take the wish new brighter days, so this is our oval. So i think i'm going to use the red for this so again we're just going to kind of mix and match what we're doing here and really kind of see what works the best so for my everydays is a new adventure so with our butterflies, i'm gon Na use this with the black and then we're gon na pop it onto this background here. This is our the more candles the bigger the wish so for our last die, what i'm actually going to do is die cut from some aubergine cardstock. So if you want something a little bit more kind of subtle, you can go for that kind of tone on tone. White with the background would also be really beautiful, um, but we're gon na see what this looks like. So i'm gon na run all of this through my die cutting machine, so we've got our four die cut, so i added an extra shim, so i'm hoping all of these are just gon na pop straight out. You can see a lot of the uh inner bits. Have sort of fallen away straight away, so let's just take off our washi tape, yeah and you can see it's literally just falling away. So let's take out our main piece. So we've just got that last piece there and again. How beautiful is that for just such an easy um card just straight through and it's a card absolutely done so we're gon na add this. So let's just pop it onto our background, so we are gon na. Add that to our background and it's just such a beautiful tone on tone um, these are just gon na look amazing. So now we've got all of our pieces out. Let'S start popping our cards together and i want to try and do something slightly different for each card, so we're going to begin with this one. So i of course want to add my die cut. On top of my background, i'm going to use some of this flake and glitter glue, um just again to sort of see what it's like. We need to kind of test these products and to really see if they work for us um. So i'm hoping i might just get yeah just some small sort of dabs of glue there and i'm hoping this is just then gon na be strong enough to kind of hold this in place, so we're just going to try and go all around the outside oops And then again just want to kind of hit those main kind of areas. Okay, so i think i got glue all in the major areas where i need it. So now, i'm just gon na really carefully. Add this to my background, i'm just gon na hold that in place, so i feel like i got all of those areas that really needed to be um held down and actually that glue has worked surprisingly well. So i'm gon na trim that down right up against that purple edge, because i really don't want you to be able to kind of see that background from uh behind our piece. So there we have our panel. I think that looks so beautiful. Okay. So now we've cut our mats and layers. We can go ahead and just assemble this card, so this is. These are going to be quite easy cards, but i feel like with the type of dies they are. Um. All-In-One just means that they're going to be really quick and easy cards for you to put together. So i've got a few different layers here, um. So i'm going to start off with our move. This is just going to go on flat onto our card base. Then i'm going to add some foam tape to the back of my kind of main panel here, so i'm actually just going to add a little bit of this glue. Just to the back of these, this will just give us a tiny bit of wiggle space just to make sure that we get this in the right, uh spot. Our scalloped edge mat here is a different size to our die cut panel um. So the only sort of layering dies. I have really is this uh size here um, so we're just gon na kind of make it work. Obviously you just make it work with what you've got then. I think i'll we'll add just a little more foam tape on there again, just to kind of give it some extra um kind of um for our card. Okay, so then, let's add our uh panel onto here and then we have that card. So if you don't like these sort of top and bottom sections, then you can just add some gems onto there um. But i don't mind it. I think it looks quite nice and it does kind of um. Add some really nice interest to the background of that card so for our next card. We'Re just gon na make some ink super simple here, so i used the circle die that came with this um just to create a circular card, so i die cut that for some strong white cardstock. I have just scored the top you can see here and this is going to create our fold. So i can just add my tape, runner onto that. Just join our two pieces together. So that's how you create just a really simple shaped card, but one that doesn't have kind of that straight edge on it, because we've got a fold in a different way and then just quite simply for this card. Just gon na add that piece on top. So i just think the simplicity in that is so beautiful and actually for this one, i'm going to use really carefully my dotty tape, pen um all the way around here and i'm literally just gon na go carefully kind of straight across there. Okay and then we can add our pieces just make sure it's the right way around and we can just super easy. Add that to our card front. So if you was mass producing cards, these all-in-one dies are going to be perfect because look how quickly we literally just put that card together. So you could just like that simply from uh some colored cardstock, like we've done uh, you know in this card, so that is just dyed from a single colored cardstock. You know you don't necessarily have to create kind of a interesting background like we did with that. Pixie powder, so there's two of our four cards done already: okay, so for this one, so i've added my glue to the bottom of this. So what i'm going to do is actually add one of these clear bags that you see me add to our flat shaker card and i'm going to show you how you can then use this again to create one of those flat shakers. I'M hoping this glue is going to dry kind of clear because it has kind of come out in a few spots. Obviously, on that black, it's going to show up a lot more. All i'm going to do is just trim this down just like, so so i'm just trimming around all the edges, so i've cut down my background uh piece, but i have just trimmed this down air. This is slightly uh, too short, but we're just gon na work with it. I'M gon na add some double-sided tape to the edges. I'M gon na take off the three sides and then what i'm gon na do is just kind of uh place. This i'm actually gon na do this from the back just to make sure that i've at least got kind of an even uh space on each end. Since it is, you know slightly uh, too short, i'm just simply gon na fold over my edges and i'm gon na fold up this bottom piece. We can trim this corner out, make sure it's flat, we're gon na fold over that corner and trim that piece off. So once you're gon na only add uh one color into here, so i'm just gon na add some of these uh sequins. So let's just open it up, because i think that sort of iridescent color is going to go really nicely in there. So, let's just you know kind of flatten this down a little bit and turn it over. Then i'm going to take up my last side and we're just going to bring that up, and now we have a shaker card to you, whether it's a flat, shaker card, a regular, shaker card. But we have got just a really beautiful, shaker then using that front element and i'm quite simply just going to add this onto our card base. So we've got quite a big uh gap around this one as well. But again i am okay with that. So there we have a really beautiful, shaker card there. Uh again, just using one of these all-in-one dies. You can do just so much with these. So for our last card. I wanted to again just try something slightly different so for this one again, i want to add just a little bit of color in here, so i'm taking my scattered straw, distress ink i'm going to take just my yellow finger dabber and i'm kind of just gon Na add some little bits of color kind of underneath these flowers, so just like that for that one and i'm gon na trim this down, so it doesn't again have to be kind of too perfect. So, let's go in oops on this little side piece here, let's come in just a tiny bit further and it's just going to add something really interesting to our background. So let's go here in the corner again it see it doesn't have to be perfect in the slightest. So let's come down to kind of, oh, let's just pop that back into place. So let's do a little more for that one, a little higher. I think so that is that one, so i'm just going to turn it on its side, just to make things a little easier and we're just going to go in to this kind of side. Piece here perfect and then i think we've just got this bit right at the bottom just there. So if you hold that down then again you're just adding sort of that little bit of color there, i'm just going to add some right to the corner, i'm not sure if that is more of a leaf than uh the flowers, but i think that's gon na Look really really beautiful. So again, you can obviously just take that a step further, i'm just doing something kind of a slightly more uh on the basic side there, okay, so i've added my adhesive to the back of my panel. So now i just want to kind of line this up with where i've done that ink blending, then again, like we did in one of for one of our previous backgrounds. We'Re just gon na trim this time so again for a super, quick and easy card. We'Re just gon na add some adhesive to the back, so i'm gon na just trim down my cards a little bit kind of afterwards, so i'm gon na sort of just put it more down into that corner and then i'm just i'm gon na kind of guess And just take a small piece off two of the sides so that i'm happy with that. So again, another really quick and simple card there. So there are our cards, so we've used four different dies, but all from the same collection. So they all have the same idea behind them. It'S really just a one pass through the die cutting machine, and essentially you have a card ready to go, but i've just shown you four different ways of actually being able to use these dies. Um, and actually these are really not kind of what i had in my head to begin with um originally, i was just gon na make something like this, where we just had this beautiful pixie powder background with then a black die cut on top, but actually, as I started creating you just kind of think of more ideas and kind of just you want to see if they will work so for this card. For example, you don't just have to make a card the size of this die cut panel. You can create much bigger cards and actually on most of the examples inside these booklets, most of them are being used on bigger card sizes. So, of course you can scale it up if you want to creating different mattes and layers. We'Ve still got that beautiful background. In there and we've kind of matched the purple, then, with that die cut going on top and again, i just think it gives it such an elegant. Look and again, if you've got lots of um, like nesting dyes, you can really create something with lots of beautiful layers, then again so for our oval shape card. We'Ve made a super quick and easy shaped card here. We'Ve got perfect edging, so we've got absolutely no straight edges here and again, just supe super simple: if you need a card just to go straight away, you couldn't really get much more simple than that. Again then, we've used that pixie powder background to create just more of an interesting uh die cut panel there, because you've got all of those different kind of areas of the different tones of pinks in there. I just think that's created such a simple and beautiful card. Then we've got creating a card the size of the panel, but then go on a step further. You can use these add a piece of acetate. You could do it with vellum and just create a super cool and really easy shaker card. That'S what i love about these flat shaker cards, they're just so easy to create, but i just think they're just really really fun um. You just want to sit here and shake these about. Then we've got this card here again, not what i was planning to do with this card. I think this would make a great sympathy card, especially with the colors that i've picked so that pewter um again it started off kind of more purpley. I think, but it has really gone down to that kind of really beautiful gray tone and just doing some really simple ink blending in the background just to highlight those bits of flowers. There'S absolutely no reason why you couldn't do it on this piece either, because you do have lots of flowers in there. You know you could color in that cake. If you wanted to the the stars in there there's so many options, i've been able to take each one of the elements that make these cards different and just using them on any of these dies. I just think it works really really well, so that was the first look at some of the creative expression products that i did get from the card maker of the year: competition um. If you do like these cards, please give this video a thumbs up and leave me a comment down below. If you like any of these techniques - and you want to kind of see more of them - maybe just more focused on that in its own video leave me a comment in the comment section down below. dolphin119: Omg so many goodies ❤ congrats! This has definitely inspired me to try and enter for thr competition next time.

sheila graber: Congratulations, you deserve it! Can’t wait to see what you make ❤️

Michele Coffey: Fantastic prize and 4 lovely cards.

Ebba Lytle: What a nice prize package! The cards from those dies are so lovely and easy to put together as well. When you were making the "gold" coloured card, to me, the panel looks like it has 2 sheep on it. It's just the way the pattern is, but once I'd seen it, I couldn't not see it. LOL The "back" sheep is looking off to the left and the "front" sheep is eating grass. There could even be a lamb lying in the grass next to the front sheep. You can see it at around 22:12
