All right so welcome to week making 101. This is the topper that was created in master course number six for hairpieces, and things like that, so this is actually on the online course for current students. If you are interesting and learning how to make this, you can definitely check the website out to get more information, but this is uploaded also as well for the students as well. But this is free information to you so that you are able to watch it, and I haven't sped up about two times. So I don't have it sped up too fast, because I want you to see every little detail in every little process that I take to. Actually stalling this topper, so I start by pinning it first and then I kind of shape and move the hair where I needed to go and then I'm going to begin cutting using a straight razor that has a comb guard to it and then you're gon na Notice that I switch off into cutting shears and so forth, and so on. So just watch so here you see me starting off with the straight razor, which has the comb guard on it, and I prefer to use this to cut, especially when I'm trying to get a specific length for any short pixie cut style. It makes it a lot easier for me to cut to the ends or, to you know, get a blunt cut. If I need to this is actually meant to blend into someone else's hair. That is much shorter, so they might just want a little bit more volume or live in the tops. So I just use the straight razor to just kind of give me a guide of where I want the lift to be, and then you'll notice that I switch off into sheers you. So at this point you will probably notice that I take the comb guard off, because it was just a little bit easier for me to get that angle that I was looking for and the mannequin hair kept turning, so I had everything to do with the stand. If that I was using so eventually you'll notice that I actually take the comb guard off so that I can get a much better or cleaner angle, using the razor to cut this you so now, I'm gon na go into a point cut, meaning I'm taking my Shears and I'm going up into the ends of the topper piece, the hair and it's trying to keep that thinness and the and the ends so that when I get ready to cut it a little bit blunt it would. It would be easy for me to do it, so it's still keeping that thinning without using the straight razor with a comb guard. But this is just how I do. It is just to continue the cut a little bit shorter because sometimes I'll start off pretty long and then I'll go on to cutting it a little bit shorter. If I need to so, I continue to go back and forth with the straight razor with the comb guard on it and the shears cutting up and then eventually creating a much more blunt cut. When I cut pretty straight, but I'm going up and across if needed. As you can see just to keep that thin, so it makes a little bit easier to cut and to blend into someone else's hair. That'S why I switch back and forth through the cut, so it's all about molding how it's going to look and the next clip you are going to see that I am going to bump it and Flatiron all right. So after I Flatiron it or bump it. In a sense, I check the cut, and this is when I use my shears on the Molson. This is just to give the cut a little bit more evenness or blunt. It'S still pretty thin. If I go back and use the straight razor to just comb some of the bulk out - but I think I didn't really have to was pretty good thickness that I needed at the ends not too thick, but not too thin as well. So, yes, after you bump any hairstyle or curl any hairstyle, that's this is the best time to check for any cut discrepancies and you can fix the cut. So here is the finished product again this is a topper. This is not a full wig. This is intended for anyone with short hair that wants a little bit more length in the top, especially since this summer or spring summer, pixie cuts and short styles are in. This is a great alternative. If you are interested in me making one for you, please DM me or send me a message.
