I love my time sitting and doing Cali's hair; it reminds me of when I was a kid with my mom. This is our new favorite hairstyle for my non braiding self lol. It also is easy for our nurses to maintain throughout the week. Try it out and leave a comment.
My sweet daughter Caliyah Joy was born with a rare syndrome called Pfeiffer Syndrome, which causes premature fusion of certain bones of the skull (craniosynostosis), affecting the shape of the head and face. Foreign, it is hair tutorial time y'all, so Cali's hair just got washed and it is time to style it. So I will say first I am a mom. That is not a hair expert, but I love trying new Styles and I just feel like practice, makes perfect. If you've got some like helpful tips, please share if you're going to tell me to take her to a salon. It'S not happening a lot of effort to get her to sit and do her hair with me, so we won't be doing this long for a while. I am not someone who knows how to break so. I want to show you uh, easy style that I do. That makes it look like. I can braid and it's kind of like a braid up into little sections and we're gon na. Have these cute little ponytails up front decorate a little bit, maybe some bangs in the front. We love getting Cali bangs, and so some of you guys gave me some great tips. Yes, hi hi about using a thinner comb. I got ta get a rat top comb. Instead of this thicker one for the parts but Callie's had so many different like surgeries that sometimes with just part of my hair, it's harder than usual, so we've got so many things. Here'S my food! Let'S get started on this beautiful head of hers, foreign yeah, so I do one part down the middle and then I just kind of leave this hair over here and work with one side at a time. So I'm gon na kind of Grease, her scalp moisturize it and everything and then work on doing the braid UPS up on this side and then I'll. Maybe move over or I'll do one section at a Time bottom and move up: okay, y'all foreign foreign foreign, just gon na brush it up and then I'm going to braid it section off into three parts, see I can do this kind of braiding. I just can't do any type of French cornrow any of that read it too. As far as you can foreign take a small little hair tie, then we can either go up or we can zigzag. I'M just gon na do the same thing all the way up. Okay, so I'm going to take this detangle section and now Judy say that foreign okay, so this is how it looks so this right here is a scar from Cali shut. So it's really hard for it to get straight. So that's why it kind of zigzag, and then this right here, hair is still growing in from Cali's recent surgery, so everyone's gon na look a little different. We just make it do so. We section that one up we braided it. We tied it into this section and then I'm going to braid this one and tie it up here and then boom. It looks like sometimes you can put some cute little Jewels right here. These ones don't match right now, we're all out of black hair tie. So we're making it do and then you can turn this into a bow or a bun or whatever you want foreign. So here's a look. So this is this little Scar and this is the hair that didn't grow back yet, but you braid it. I would prefer to use a black one, but not one so so you take it, you braid it. You tie it into this one braid that one this one and we did a little bun with a knocker and then we're gon na give her bangs and we're gon na. Do it with this side, all right y'all. So this is what we ended up with, like I said, like her. Hair is so hard apart, sometimes because of the surgeries, but we got two rows going all the way up. We do little buns up top knockers in the front and then we're gon na. Do some twists out for her bangs and call it a day, sometimes the hair that doesn't grow for her just leave it there or like give a little a little strand curl. Since this one won't reach all the way up, not perfect, but it works y'all. All right, foreign foreign, foreign, foreign

Zela Jocelyn: I think you already have a good set of styles you do on Cali's hair. Corn row might not be the best for her now due to her head surgies as they need to be pulled tight to braid properly. Maybe you can try some small single braids and put rubberbands at the ends . The single braids can be done in different styles...with bangs still at front.

Only suggestion I’d make is whenever your moisturizing or detaingling her hair is to use a detaingler spray or a leave in conditioner and not water.
