How To: Ombre Jumbo Braid Ponytail (Easy)

I've been seeing this jumbo braided ponytail everywhere lately, so I wanted to try it out and show you all how I got the look! I'm not the best at working with braiding hair, but still wanted to try this out for fun. :)

You gon do like hey guys it's a site here in today's video, I'm showing you guys how I got this really cool sort of like jumbo braid that I have to decide. This is really trendy right. Now I'm seeing this for festival season, I'm seeing this just for like a night out or just something fun I feel like you could dress this up or really dress it down. It just depends on what sort of vibe that you're going for the hair that I use for my braids is from best braiding hair. I bought this myself. I bought a bunch of these because I wanted to do box braids, but I was just like these are sitting my room. Let me try to do something cool with it, and I've been looking at pictures of this sort of like jumbo ponytail and really have been liking it. So I want it to give it a try. As you can see, it's thinner then like regular braiding hair. So I have to use two packs of the best braiding hair instead of just using like one pack of the Kanekalon hair. Hopefully I'm saying that right, I don't know please someone correct me because I keep saying Kanekalon and if that's wrong then I just need to. I need to learn so if you would like to see how I got this braid then keep on watching so starting off the hairstyle. I want my hair to be damp, so that's easier for me to brush back. This is my fine mist spray bottle. A lot of you guys ask me questions where I got this from, and I got it from Amazon next, I'm using my kinky curly knot today and just applying this all throughout my hair, so that it's moisturized and combing it through with my Denman brush for the Perimeter of my hairline, so my edges and the back of my head just to keep all the hairs in place, I'm using this edge control from cream of nature, and I'm just going to smooth everything back just so. I can position my hair into a high ponytail. You want your hair to be super sleek and not have any bumps. So that's why I'm really taking my time on this and making sure that everything is in place within these next couple Clips I swear. I look like I'm in pain, but I'm not it's. Just my face when I'm doing tight ponytails so just ignore that so with the hair, I'm just going to loop, my ponytail holder around the hair in the middle. I also quickly blow-dried, my hair, just really quick off-camera. I tried this without blow-drying my hair, and it was a mess, so I blow-dried my hair just a little bit, especially since this hair is a lot more silkier, I'm sectioning off this blow-dried ponytail, just because it makes it easier for me to work with. So I can do a regular braid, so you don't have to do this, but for me it just makes the sections easier. So after tying it around the ponytail and flipping it over, I can take a little section out. This will wrap around the ponytail later but, as you can see, I'm just sectioning the fake hair over my real hair, I'm taking those out and I'm just sort of covering the braiding hair over the real hair trying to tuck it in so that you won't really See my blonde I'm just doing a regular three strand, braid and, as you can see, I'm just trying to cover it, but I'll fix it later, because my hair is really stubborn and it wanted to show through if my hair was straight. This would definitely look a lot more sleek and it would blend almost perfectly, but I just really didn't want to do that, damage to my hair once I've finished off the braid, I'm just taking that other section of hair and wrapping it around my hair tie so That I can cover it and make it look a little bit more clean. So now it's time for the cleanup, I'm taking some bobby pins and I'm just sort of fixing my braids and pushing things in just so. I can try to cover up my natural hair and, like I said this is like my first time doing like a braid like this, so it didn't come out perfect, but I really like the way it looked. So you know there's a little bit of long peeking through, but I think overall that it looks pretty good since the ends are blonde and I think that it worked out pretty well.
